Recovery disc for Vista OEMAct Corrupted.. Please help

Hello,
I have a Satellite L305-S5933. I created a recovery disc and tried to format, in the middle of the process it said the Disc is corrupted and ended the process and now I cannot proceed with anything.
I tried to install another Recovery Disc and it said that the Windows needs activation. I tried to enter the key found on the laptop, it said it's not correct.
I don't know what to do... Please help!!!!!
Thank you

Did it say that the Recovery Disk was corrupted or the hard drive?

  • I need a new recovery disc for my MacBook help ASAP!!!

I need a new recovery disc for my MacBook so I can format and re-install the default operating system. I have lost the original recovery disc that came with my MacBook years ago. Can anybody tell me how and where I can order one from?
Also, I do have the original recorvery disc that came with my MacBook Pro, could I not just use this or would it not be compatible?
    Help ASAP please...
    Thank you!

For a fee, you could likely order a replacement install-restore DVD for your MacBook. To get the correct disc(s) and match the hardware to the system, you need to know and have the serial number of the product handy, and be able to answer some basic questions; and have a form of payment, such as credit card.
Call the Apple Store online (main US number, 1-800-MY-APPLE) or the main Apple Support number for US, 1-800-275-2273.
Or if you're in another country, you could try calling a Local in-country support number and ask, since they may have to redirect your call to another associate. See link below for Support phone numbers.
An operating systems specialist or other qualified person will be able to try & help obtain the correct disc or disc set; if the computer original gray-label set is no longer available, they may be able to check their extensive database against your product serial number to see if they may have another full install disc that can work.
This other option, if it happens, based on your MacBook serial number and build model identifier, could be slightly newer than the OS X version shipped with the MacBook, and not be gray-labeled.
A replacement install disc in retail version would not include any original MacBook applications, while a gray-label disc set should have most of them as part of a multiple DVD set, if available.

  • Create Recovery Disc For Windows 7

    Hi,
I have HP Pavillion p6310y desktop with Windows 7 (not sure 32 or 64 or whatever)
My computer got virus infection. These virus are located in very low level of hard drive. Also there are other virus. Virus supporters want to remove these virus, but they are afraid my computer may be unoperable due to virus location level. They ask me to get rescue or recovery disc for the computer
Now I searched to create rescue disc via link http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01867124&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc... , but I couldn't find "recovery manager". I do see recovery via control panel, but couldn't find a way to bring a image like link shown.
Anyone can help me to create the recovery or rescue disc for the hp?
    Thanks.

OK... time to kill two stones with one bird...
    Q: How I know my computer is window 7 32-bit or 64-bit?
A: I previously posted this "Windows 7 64b A1NAv6PrA1 + Supp 7 Recovery Kit" which states 64bit. Additionally, here is a link to your computer's specs... click on the "+" under "Software" at the bottom of the page.
Q: If virus is located in lower level of hard drive or computer, then try to remove them, it is likely to damage the computer and hard drive?
A: A virus, almost any virus is incapable of causing physical damage to your computer. The only damage they cause is to your data, installed programs, OS, and maybe your wallet. All it takes to remove most viruses is to format the drive.

  • Recovery disc for HP 15-r008tu

    Hello,
How do I go about ordering recovery disc for my laptop? Any LINK? I never burned the recovery disc off and I need it as soon as possible because my hard disk crashed and laptop went for hard disk replacemet. Thanks

Sorry, but according to the specs, this model was shipped from the factory with Windows 8 64-bit installed. Because Windows 8 64-bit was the factory installed OS, it is going to be the only OS available on HP Recovery Media. If you wish to install Windows 7 Pro, you will need to purchase a copy with valid Microsoft COA and product key.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

  • Recovery disc for Equium M70 needed

I have tried to recover my Equium M70-337 using the product recovery cd that was shipped with it, but this is corrupt and I now have a blank laptop.
Where can I get a new recovery disc from? The laptop is too old for me to be able to order one from Toshiba.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This notebook model is too old and you will probably not be able to order new recovery disc.
What you can try is to contact nearest Toshiba service and ask if they have one that can borrow you for testing purposes.
You can also use Microsoft WXP installation disc for OS installation. All necessary drivers you can find on Toshiba download page so you don't need recovery disc.
If you need some help about it let me know.

  • Re: Need Win 7 Recovery Disc for my Satellite Pro L750

    Hi all,
Could someone tell me where to download or get a copy of the OEM Win 7 Recovery disc for my Satellite Pro L750? The laptop has a new HDD without a working recovery partition and I don't the recovery CD.
    Help Please.

Yes of course you should make backup disks but this was my first personal laptop (unbelievable, right ? Never needed one before) and I wasn't aware i couldn't just make a recovery disk from any pc like I used to do for my desktop. The hdd is supposed to last for what, 5,000 hours ?
I would be lucky to have had more than 1,000 hours on it. And no games play either; it had an easy life.
As per Microsoft Forums I did a clean install of Windows 7 using a supposedly OEM setting download from Digital River (OEM in the 'channel' setting in the ei.efg file) but good old Toshiba must do something else in the hardware as slmgr /dli still states it's a 'retail' version so even though Microsoft would have given me a new product key (as to which i am entitled as i have purchased a licence when i bought the laptop), because the installation id states retail based, my genuine licence key number from the bottom of the laptop does not register as genuine when they check.
I tried my desktop pc oem windows 7 installation disk that I got with the pc (now there's a whacky idea, providing a disk with the purchase...) and no luck there either. The laptop was still locked to its own licence key and retail version. I'm guessing even if i bought a new retail windows copy, it still wouldn't work !
I still think $66 is far too much to pay to get the disks. I've already paid for the windows licence, But what choice has toshiba left me, other than to pay them their blood money.
I may be a slow learner, but I do learn. I will never buy a Toshiba laptop, or other Toshiba product again. Sure, other companies will have the same licensing setup, but I'm not angry at them !

My iTunes won't open! It keeps saying 'The iTunes Library.itl is locked on a locked disk or you not have write permission for this file.' Please Help!

this may happen on external drives if:
The external drive was hotpluged (removed) without going the correct "eject" way
The iTunes library (database) got corrupted
    First Aid for external drive
    Close iTunes
Unmount (eject) external drive the right way.
    Mount drive again
Go to Workplace -> right click external drive -> choose "clean up" This will force the filesystem to rescan the file structure of the drive and rebuilding the file system table and journaling file.
After the tool shows "done" (could last some time depending on size of drive) restart iTunes
If your iTunes library is on your internal drive, this may happen
The system was not shoot down correct, e.g. "pulled the plug"
The iTunes library (database) got corrupted
First Aid for internal hard drive
    Close iTunes
    Reboot system
Go to Workplace -> right click external drive -> choose "clean up"
After the tool shows "done" (could last some time depending on size of drive)
    Reboot system, restart iTunes
If none of the above fixes your problem, post here.

... BTW, when you perform the - Weekly "Macrium - Image Backups", do you backup to a local USB cable connected External Usb Drive or wireless wifi connected to a NAS Drive ?
I have a Verbatim 2TB external USB 3.0 drive plugged into the PC.  It's used for both my weekly image backups as well as my nightly data backups.  I have one of these on EACH machine in my environment, for backups local to that machine.  I also use them on machines I build for friends and family, as everybody needs a backup system for "priceless data".
Actually, to be a bit more complete, my "data" backups consists of two parts: (1) 1st-of-the-month FULL backups of all my data, and (2) nightly INCREMENTAL backups which handles anything created/changed in the past 24 hours.  Thus a "backup set" consists of the beginning FULL backup coupled with the ever-growing throughout-the-month set of nightly INCREMENTAL backups.
NovaBACKUP can handle all of this if you need to recover something, so you yourself don't need to know exactly which backup file your file is located on.  You simply identify the folder/file(s) you wish to recover, and the AS-OF date you want for that file (with "as of the latest version available" being the default).  If you want to recover an older version than the most current version, you simply slide a GUI time-slider backwards until you arrive at the as-of date you desire.  NovaBACKUP then figures out where the most current version is AS OF THE DESIRED DATE, and accesses that one-or-more backup files in order to complete your task.
I retain multiple "backup sets" (going back 4 complete months), so I can recover any folder/file(s) I had available on any specific night during the past 4 months.  Most commonly of course it's typically "get me the most current version available as of last night", but just in case that version is corrupt or I truly want an earlier version, I can get it easily.

    11. After burn is complete, click on "Close".
    12. Double-click the recovery_dvd2 file.
