Recovery disks that I ordered for my Toshiba L300D-ST3501 will not work

The reovery disk #1 starts, loads files, cursor comes up and that is as far as it goes. I even let it go for the whole day and nothing, it just stays at the cursor. I need help.

It sounds like there may be a hardware failure with your laptop. You may want to seek servicing.

Adobe photoshop elements 13 trial version will not work on windows XP. Does this mean that if I purchase the full version, this also will not work on XP?

Yes, if the system requirements do not include XP then an XP machine will not be able to use it.

I updated my software for the Time Machine and it will not work properly now.

I updated my Time Machine's Software and now it flashes amber all of the time and will not let me "into" it. I used to have a wireless network through it and now it does not work. I have hard reset it several times and it is flashing amber again.

I have done this on several occassions. This works for 1 time then it stops. It "connects" allows me to set it up and then flashes amber. It did backup 1 time today, but now it says it is delayed and there is no back up. It worked fine until I updated the software and tried to extend my network. After this, it will NOT work at all, for any length of time. i just reset it, and was able to set it up, but it gave me an error message, is flashing amber and is not being recognized. Very frustrating.

0 for 2.. New Shuffle will not work

After buying a new shuffle yesterday, I got home, launched iTunes and used the check for updates and updated to the new 7.0.2 version. I then connected the new shuffle and nothing happened. I shutdown McAfee, rebooted the machine, restored the shuffle, numerous time and nothing happened. I am running Windows XP and none of my USB ports are the issue. I have a 3G 40GB that works on all of the ports. I have also made sure that neither the docking station, nor my other iPod were connected.
The shuffle appeared to be charging (blinking orange light), however neither iTunes, nor Windows recognized the device. I did notice that every few minutes, my computer would make that initial noise that is typically made when I plug my other iPod in, but nothing ever happened. I returned the unit to Best Buy and exchanged it for another one and I am having the same problems.
I have seen too many problems with other Windows users to think it is something with my machine. I have already spent nearly 5 hours between the two iPods trying to get it to work and if I cannot get help here, I am going to return the unit for a refund.

I reset the iPod, not restore. Sorry. I followed the Reset, Retry, Restart and Reinstall steps a few times but I cannot do restore because iTunes is not recognizing the iPod.
I also followed the steps for altering MSCONFIG and my machine still does not recognize the iPod. If I disconnect the new shuffle and plug my 3G iPod in, iTunes has no problems recognizing it.
I am using the USB ports on the motherboard (back of the machine). I also have two more USB ports (2.0) on the front and a 6 in 1 media reader that has two USB ports, secure digital and flash reader. My old iPod works in all of those ports, however I typically use it on one of the ports on the back. I am attempting to use my Shuffle on the same port that my old iPod uses (I simply disconnected my old iPod).

Java for Mac OSX 10.4 Release7 will not work with eTrade Market Trader

After the latest update to 10.4.11 wich was the latest version of Java the java applet will not start. Talked to eTrade tech support and found out that their site only supports up Java1.6. Now I am trying to update my Mac Pro to 10.4.10 but can not find the update anywhere that is not bundled with the latest version of Java. Called Apple support, they did not have a solution, so to all you experts how can this problem be resolved ?

Thank you for your response. I spent 2 hours on the phone with an Apple Tech, he was really good and we went through all the possibilities (thank god for Apple Care Plan). He even got others involved but we all could not come up with anything else than to do an 'Archive-Install'. I did repair permissions several times. My Mac was running great prior to the update, I actually own 7 Mac's and I am very meticulous with maintenance and backing up everything. By the way I love these things. But when the new update came out, I told everybody to backup and then update the Mac's. Now I have 1 Mac that runs 10.4.8 and 6 that run 10.4.11. They all work great and are in great condition, but the only one that can run the online trading platform is the one running 10.4.8 and all the others have the software to access my .Mac account. Since I have these Mac's indifferent locations (so I can travel without lugging one along) I enjoy using all the .Mac features. Everything was so easy before "Java for Mac OSX 10.4 Release 7" came out. I am just really frustrated. I just wish I could go back to 10.4.10. But all the updates are bundled with the Java release 7. Is there any place where I can find 10.4.10 ?

I am testing our website :www.winningsportstips.com and we have Virtuemart installed and the site will not allow me to select 'add to cart' feature. However if I open the website in Internet Explorer, the feature is available and it functions correctly. I am running XP and have 'accept all cookies' enabled in settings.

Does anyone know of a work around for this problem? : iphone 5 will not work on Chryslers uconnect. I found out that they are working on it but have no ETA.   However, they will not help you if your vehicle is older thatn 2008.

Do not get an iphone 5 if you want to use it with a Chrysler product. The Chrysler Uconnect system might pair with your phone but the uconnect system will usually abend and become unusable after a few telephone conversations. I have been to the dealer twice. They have reset the uconnect system twice and I find it works for about 2 to 3 phone calls then it abends and uconnect becomes useless. They had me call Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753. I was told that the iphone five is not compatable at this time with any chrysler uconnect phone through the dash system, even the new vehicles. He had me get on this web site: www.uconnectphone.com as a place to monitor as when it would be compatable. They told me that Samsung seems to be working harder to make it compatible than apple is and they had no idea when it would begin to work. In effect Chrysler was telling me dump the iphone and get a Samsung if you want it to work in a Chrysler. Also, the site would only give you information for Chrysler that were 2008 or newer, they gave the following number to call if your vehicle was older.    I called that number and they told me that Chrysler and Uconnect had no plans at all to make the iphone 5 work, in the future, on any Chrysler older than 2008. So.......If you have a Chrysler or Dodge that is older than 2008 you will NEVER be able to use an iphone5 on the uconnect through the dash system.   Do not buy an iphone if you have an older vehicle. It will never be supported for the $1,000 you paid for this uconnect system on your car. My car is a 2005 Town and Country. I asked both Chrysler and uconnect if their was some sort of work around so I could use my phone. They both told me their was not and that they had no plans to resolve this situation for my vehicle. This means that I need to either get rid of my $42,000 vehicle with low milage or get rid of my Iphone 5. Niether are really good options.
I was also givne the following places to send formal complaints, even though I was told that neither Chrysler, Dodge or Apple were going to do anything to correct my problem:

This response is a little late as I just read about your problem. I have a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and both worked flawlessly with the iPhone 5s my wife and I had. However, we just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and Uconnect will receive calls but you cannot answer them. You can callout successfully, however. the annoyance being the inability to answer incoming calls in the HandsFree mode.

I have a new laptop with 64 bit Windows 7, and I want it to work wireless with my printer and desktop computer, which services my families other wireless laptops with XP.
Unfortunately I just tried to install the HP photosmart disk C4380 series to the new computer, but it does not support it, says it needs the required hardware. The disk says its for XP, Vista, and 2000. So it won't install.
Is there software that you can download so it can run properly on the new computer with Windows 7?

However, I was wondering if there was an upgrade set of those recovery disks that had windows 7 or even windows 8 for that matter. I don't know if thats possible but I would rather have windows 7 atlkeast since hp is outdated and my HP has Vista but Vista is the next on the chopping block to be un-supported and eventually discontinued. Sorry, you cannot obtain an HP Win 7 Recovery disc set for your PC because it shipped with Vista as the factory installed operating system.
Win Vista is in extended support until April, 2017. Win 7 is covered until January, 2020.
You would have to purchase a Win 7 OEM setup disc from an online vendor.

I have a Toshiba e-studio 2830C network printer and it will not work with mavericks. I have some software that the printer guy said to try that was for a newer model printer, but it is not working. Please help....I need this printer tonight.
