  • Recovery partition has been removed

    Hi sir
I recently purchased a HP pavilion g-1202 TX series, I have installed Windows 7 64-bit OS, I found that I had only single drive i.e. C: for use, thought of creating another partition and shrunk the C drive, after this I found that HP RECOVERY MANAGER SAYS "Recovery partition has been removed - the recovery media creation option is no longer available"
Then again I tried expanding the C: drive back to its old stage, even then I found the same error, Now how can I get back HP RECOVERY.? and create Recovery Partition?

if you havent created the recovery media already from your computer, there is only option to get media from HP.
contact HP to order Recovery media. in most countries you can order it online, else contact HP phone support.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=bph07143
if no  option to order media for your country, contact country HP support.
visit www.hp.com and select country from the left botttom. now select contact HP or connect with HP. reach support to get a set of recovery media to make your computer recover and work as factory install.
hope it helps. Good Luck !!!

I don't know why your PC is saying your partition is gone - you're right, it doesn't look gone. I do know that if you use the Support Assistant to make backup copies of your Recovery Disks and Then instruct it to remove the recovery partition to give you more space on the hard drive, it will delete the HP factory image of Windows 8 from the recovery partition and leave the normal Windows repair tools behind.
There are tools however that allow you to create your own recovery partition complete with these Windows repair tools and a new image of your instalation so you can restore from that. You could use this tool: Windows 7/8 - OEM Recovery Partition Creator found here: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/21978-Windows-7-8-OEM-Recovery-Partition-Creator but thats a lot of work and it would be faster and easier just to backup your data and restore from your HP recovery disks you made from Support Assistant. If you didn't make the disks, HP may opt to send you a copy.. they do not normally do this but I have read that some people have good luck getting a free copy of the media from HP.. otherwise they want you to buy the recovery disks ($40.00) . I suppose it depends on the exact circunstances of your situation.
Another solution is to use Macrium Reflect Free Edition to ghost or clone your system. You can then restore your whole system even with your custom programs installed, to the exact state it was in when you made the backup image. ( this may take several dvd's) I suggest you go this route because restoring your system with Macrium Reflect is Much faster than restoring from the HP Recovery Disks. Even if you do obtain another copy of the Recovery Disks, you should use this tool to make another backup that you can customize to your liking. Your re-installs will be faster, they will already have your chosen software installed, and you will save wear and tear on your HP Recovery Disks.  You can then safely delete the recovery partition to gain back that space on your hard drive (since you cannot access it anyway, you won't need that space being taken up).  BUT.. you cannot restore from UEFI Mode which is what HP ships with. You have to go into your Bios settings, and switch to Legacy Bios mode, (which disables Secure Boot) FIRST or else the Macruim recovery boot disk will not load to install the recovery image. After the system re-installs you can go back into bios settings and disable Legacy bios and re-enable secure Boot if you like. ( Windows 8 will load in both UEFI mode with secure boot enabled or Legacy bios mode.. it's your choice. UEFI mode will load faster but it will cause problems if you want to dual boot the system with another OS)  Hope this helps.

  • HT1353 im trying to download games on to the ipod touch 2nd gen and looks like the software driver has been removed, what does that mean and how do i sort it?

i have an iod touch and aparently the software driver has been removed and i had it restored to factory settings as i bought it from someone, what does this mean and how do i solve the problem

Just what error message are you getting?
Are you trying to redownload them directly to the iPod?
If you are getting an error message that included Open GL 2 or similar that means that the app requires that but only the 3G and later iPods support that.

  • SL500, Product recovery function has been removed from this sytem

I upgraded my SL500 from Vista to windows 7 OS several years ago and lately the OS has been acting weird (freezing, very slow at times) so I am thinking something is corrupted somewhere and want to restore it back to the manufacturers state.  However, when I try to do this through rescue and recovery, it tells me that the recovery function has been removed from the system.  I'm assuming that when I upgraded from Vista that R&R was no longer compatible so I installed version 4.5.  My laptop did not come with backup OS disks and was told that this was the way to restore the system back to the factory state.  How do I do this if I'm getting this message?

try this. If this don't work then you would to reinstall the OS using the T43 recovery media disk set.

  • The Product Recovery function has been removed from this system

I get the following error when I try full system restore - "The Product Recovery function has been reomed from this system"?
    How can I fix this?

    welcome to the forum:
Have you made a recovery media before this problem occured??? if you haven't you may need to call Lenovo and ask for a set of recovery disks, or just use your own XP/Vista OS you got from somewhere, and load it on your machine then enter you own serial number that come with your machine.
Then proceed to download the various softwares and drivers applicable to your machine, the most important that you won't have is the predesktop area, if you think this is unacceptable then call Lenovo and obtain recovery media from them (a nominal handling and service charge of around 50 USD will be charged).

  • The recovery partition from my hp presario cq50 104ca notebook has been removed, if you are able to

    Hi to all
Assume that the recovery partition from my hp cq50 104ca has been removed because in the past many times, I could reset back to factory setting, just by holding down alt and control and  f11 by starting point. But now since few weeks can not do it. If you are able to assist me with that issue however.
    Thank you in advance
    Munir

    Hi Munir,
If you have created your set of Recovery Discs, you can use these to reinstall the operating system - this procedure will also re-create the Recovery Partition on the Hard Drive.
If you don't have these discs, you can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs using the link below.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00810334&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en
If you have any problem with this link, order them directly from HP.

  • After downloading osx 10.9.2 when i open my logic pro 9 and begin to audition loops that came with lp9 i get a message that says "audio device has been removed  and then a second message the " select driver not found(-10202). my interface is a apogee duet

after downloading osx 10.9.2 when i open my logic pro 9 and begin to audition loops that came with lp9 i get a message that says "audio device has been removed  and then a second message the " select driver not found(-10202). my interface is a apogee duet. Can anyone provide a solution to this problem. Thanks

    YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!
    I got it!!! Yes!!!
Guys, I've solved my problem about that error -10202 (Selected driver not found).
I have installed in my Mac Pro (OS X 10.5.8) a document with an extension ".rsrc" to correct the position of the accents in my keyboard, like acute accent, tilde and circumflex.
That file is called "U.S. - International.rsrc" and it's stored in the following path:
    "Macintosh HD/Library/Keyboard Layouts"
So, when it's properly installed, I can choose 2 country flags on the right side of the menu bar (U.S. - International and Brazilian).
    That's the clue!
When I pick up "U.S. - International", my keyboard works fine with the accents, >>>BUT<<< Logic Pro 9 doesn't recognize my audio driver; and when I pick up "Brazilian", my keyboard doesn't work with the accents exactly as it shows me on each key, BUT Logic Pro 9 DOES recognize my audio driver.
So, when I want to write anything out, I will pick up the "US - International" and when I want to work on the Logic Pro 9, I will pick up "Brazilian".
I hope I can help all of you.
    Regards,
    Renato Veiga.

  • Hard Drive Recovery Process has been selected

One day, while playing a game online, the computer screen went black and a blue box appeared that said "Hard Drive Recovery Process has been selected Press Yes if you wish to continue " Also, there was NO which only shut the computer down. YES took me to a blue screen with recovery and troubleshooting options. At first, none of these worked, or stayed. Because the next time I used my computer I would get the same Hard Drive Recovery Process message and had to try various things to make it work. I did purchase a Windows 8.1 recovery flashdrive from Toshiba and attempted to install it. It took about 6 tries for it to completely install. However, after installing, I was unable to use the RESTART option to power off the computer as it would trigger the Hard Drive Recovery Process again ! Ugh ! Last night, I powered the laptop off using SHUT DOWN and in the morning, I got the Hard Drive Recovery Process screen again, much to my horror. I have Norton Internet Security and Anti Virus as well as I used Toshiba maintenance tasks and no problems were found. I would appreciate any information on troubleshooting and repairing this problem, if there is a solution. Thanks !!!!!

I did purchase a Windows 8.1 recovery flashdrive from Toshiba   ...   after installing  ..  it would trigger the Hard Drive Recovery Process again
The fact that the problem remains after restoring the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media means the software doesn't cause it.
    The computer needs servicing.

  • My dad has dementia - does not remember his password. His hard drive has been erased. We need to reload Mountain Lion and can't figure out how to do it.

My dad has dementia - does not remember his password. His hard drive has been erased. We need to reload Mountain Lion and can't figure out how to do it. Internet recovery asks for his Apple ID and password. He has no idea. I have an Apple ID but have never bought anything through the iTunes store so it won't accept my Apple ID. I don't know if his computer is under warranty. He does not remember if he has Applecare. I tried reinstalling Leopard -- the computer originally came with Leopard -- but the computer screen goes grey and a message comes up saying I need to restart. He wants to give this computer to me since it's useless to him. What do I do to get a system on it again?

You will need to reformat the hard drive to go back to Snow Leopard or Leopard.
Does he have a Snow Leopard Disk? He should, as there is no way to go from Leopard to Mountain Lion without it. If you can find the Snow Leopard Disk, I'd at least start with that.
You will need to use Disk Utility in the installer to format the hard drive and get rid of the recovery partition.
Boot from the installer disk by holding down the C key on restart. When it boots, Open Disk Utility (Utilities menu, at least in Snow Leopard).
Select the Hard drive and then click the Partition tab.
Select 1 Partition from the partition menu.
Select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the format.
Name the drive (Macintosh HD is the standard).
Click Apply to partition the drive.
When it is done, quit Disk Utility and install the OS.

  • In Lion the command to back up library to disc has been removed? How do I do this now?

In Lion the command to back up library to disc has been removed? How do I do this now? Apple Support has given me a case number and accelerated it with a call back in a few days, and even the techs were surprised by the removal of the ability to incrementally back up to any kind of disc any items added to the iTunes Library since it's last back up.
While this command was in all previous iterations of iTunes, even most of the techs are working from iTunes 10.3, the Lion version has this removed. Help only mentions Time Machine as the back up method. Sorry, I've had too many hard drives go bad, and not one DVD or CD has failed when I needed to retrieve a past purchase or addition of any kind to the iTunes library.
Purchasing from the iTunes store just got less viable, IMHO.

    Dave-
Thanks for the feedback. Those nasty old deprecated features, eh? Seems you are correct that it will now be a third party solution.
I just finished chatting with Mike Bombich about using his Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1 ( http://www.bombich.com/index.html ) to do the job.
He gave me a rough outline of how to set it up for incremental back up of iTunes ~/Music/iTunes or
~/Music/iTunes Music. Creating filters ( http://help.bombich.com/kb/explore/excluding-files-and-folders-from-a-backup-tas k#creating ) tells how to create and save different tasks.
I'l check it out and report back shortly.

  • Windows backup reports when restore is attempted that no drive has been found.

The backup is duly found, but restore (of Windows 7) cannot proceed, since the setup of the repair disc reports that no (target drive) is found.
Is there a solution for this?

    Hi 549toast,
Would you please explain the issue more detailed ?
Are you performing a system restore from a repair disk and you will get a "no drive has been found "notification ?Or perfoming a system recovery from an image created before?
Have you got any error code ?Have you tried other restore points or other backup image(This will help us to verify whether it is caused by the machine or the image or the restore point) ?Can we get into the machine now ?
If we can get into the machine ,please try the following steps to have a troubleshoot :
1.Run "sfc /scannow"to check the health of the system files.
2.Update or reinstall the disk drivers from the device manager.
    Best regards

  • Audio device has been removed

Ive been using the digi 001 interface with logic for 10 months now with no problems until today. after loading CoreAudio 6.9 for the digi 001 interface I go to preferences/audio/driver to select the the Digidesign HW (001) interface. Then a window tells me to reboot logic to use the CoreAudio. After rebooting logic and the arrange window pops up , another window tells me that Audio device has been removed. So all I can do at this point is click ok. The CoreAudio Initiation starts to run again and the last window that pops up says"The previousiy selected audio interface is not available". So now I can only hear my songs out of the built in audio speaker . can someone help ? were did I go wrong?

boot the DD CAD FIRST. then boot logic.
in addition, if you've been playing qt movies or something similar beforehand the DD CAD will sometimes disconnect itself. this generally requires restart your mac.

  • ITunes & Quicktime has an invalid signature. The program has been removed

When I try to update itunes through the apple software update, i get error message 'itunes and quicktime has an invalid signature. the program has been removed.'
When I go to download from the apple website.. it downloads 10% and then stops.
I have tried downloading through google chrome, firefox and IE, I have tried to delete my temp file, And I have also gone into internet options and ticked 'allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid'.
Nothing is working!!! Does anyone know how to fix this?

Okay. Try downloading and saving the installer onto a different PC. Copy the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) onto a USB key or thumb drive or other external drive (or even burn it to a CD) and then carry it to your PC. Copy the installer onto your internal hard drive, and then start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe).
(If we can get a working copy of the installer onto a PC, installs will usually go through without the invalid-signature/not-valid-win32/unknown-publisher/etc errors.)
