Recovery Drive not working on Twist while upgrading SSD

Not working here means it seems doing nothing but format. I want to upgrade the 500G HDD with my old 160G SSD. and I am able to create a recovery drive via Recovery step by step, it prompted me to plugin a USB at least 8GB. I was using a 16GB USB and a full recovery media took about 7GB of the USB drive. Then restart computer with USB startup---select Troubleshooting---Reset PC---Fully Clean--- Auto restarted after resetting (took about 10 min, since I had done this couple times, it was about 1 hour at first time).
Actual Result:
1. if I keep the recovery media plugin, it will start resetting process mentioned above all over again.
2. if unplug the USB, it will popup the drive selection (F12), choose SSD, popup drive selection again. (No system installed)
Anybody has any ideas why? or similar issues? and How am I going to install preload Win8 on my SSD?

P.S. I checked the files in recovery drive. And saw install.swm, install2.swm, install3.swm, install4.swm, these are big files. and I think they are the installation files. so that means the recovery was created correctly. it just won't install it after reboot..

It's a slightly different method, but I would recommend select Just my files rather than Remove everything when preparing to format and install Windows onto the SSD. The first option sounds different than what it actually is. This option will remove everything from the drive, reformat it and then try to install Windows onto it. It does remove all files. It may be easier to think of Just my files as "Quick format" and the Remove everything as "Full format." Also, removing everything can take a long time (some have reported 72 hrs!) All that being said, the first option may fully work and get your machine going again, even if it is not exactly how you planned.

I have the family edition Leopard upgrade disc. I am trying to upgrade my powerbook g4 17 to leopard however the DVD rom drive seems to have taken a turn for the worse. How can I install leopard onto this computer without the use of the computers main drive? I believe that, for the PB series, an external optical drive must be FireWire to boot. You could try FireWire Target Disk Mode from another FW-equipped Mac with a Combo or SuperDrive. See this article:

System Recovery is not working From HP Recovery Manager. so i cant restore my laptop to its original factory condition. (Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium).
so when i restart my computer and press Esc and then choose F11 i get this message :

Had the C partition been split/shrunk to form a new partition previously?
Does disk management show the HDD as basic or dynamic? (Start>Right-click Computer>Manage>disk management on the left).
If it has been switched to dynamic (Windows does this automatically when more than 4 partitions are present on the disk), then the F11 recovery partition won't function until it is restored to basic, but I would like to confirm that is the scenario before providing those steps.
The Disk management shows that my HDD as Dynamic, what should i do then if this is the case and the possible solution to my problem?

If you have more than 4 partitions you will need to delete the extra partition/partitions, then convert the hdd back to Basic.

Well, it has been a long road on the Win 10 upgrade. At first I got the same error message as above, but after deleting the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 in Win 10 using Control Panel Programs and Features and rebooting, I got into the continual BSOD upon reboot. Here are the steps I took to at least get stable on Windows 10. First, I rolled back to Windows 8.1 using the advanced feature in the BSOD recovery options. Once back in Win 8.1, I deleted the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Then I downloaded the Win 10 update and re-installed it. Once that completed, I updated the Intel Graphics driver under the display adapters (on my G780 it is an Intel HD Graphics 4000, and the driver can be found at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/). Currently I am running version 10.18.10.4252 for my machine. Then, under the Device Manager, I updated the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver under the Sound, video, and game controllers. That driver is currently at 8.66.4.50 and was automatically downloaded from the web when I requested to update driver. I also changed several others settings such as Notify to schedule restart after updates are installed instead of automatic (under Settings --> Update & Security --> Advanced Options) and Do you want Windows to download driver software and realistic icons for your devices? --> No, let me choose what to do, never install driver software from Windows Update. After that, I shut down the machine, waited a moment and booted back up. I have no idea why this helped or if it is overkill, but I am stable and running without a fear of rebooting now. Hope this helps if someone else is having this same issue.

We sincerely apologize for the problem customers are facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

Exact Problem : Audio stops working now, and then, intially reinstalling audio driver helped, but now, that trick is also not working!! I'm nither on mute, nor on low volume level!!

Sounds like a bad drive...I would get a replacement. According to Accelerate Your Mac database, it should work without issue.
Just enter the model number of the drive and select your Powerbook G3 2000, and you will see four reports on this model.

Have you tried a battery pull? If the issue is still there, you can either take it to the store or downgrade your software to the previous version to troubleshoot.

This procedure is much too complicated for an average user. You know that millions of Wondow XP users are switching to Windows 7. I' sure that most of them are facing similar problems. HP should come with a user friendly solution that solves the above issues. Don't you think?

I see that your HP Deskjet D2300 series driver not working in windows 7.
Do you see any error messages with the installer? Or does it just close out and doesn't install?
