Recovery email isn't coming in inbox or junk, help?

I need to recover my apple ID - since I forgot my answers to the questions they asked me - and when I tapped the recover with my email link, it doesn't go through to my email. Not in my junk, or inbox. I added $30 to my account and I want to use it..

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

Wont/Unable as in you were not able to verify information?
Basicly the only way Account Security is not able to reset your security questions is because
1 - You do not remember your password
2 - You were unable to verify any information which is required
If you do not remember your password - until your password is either remembered or reset - will not be able to reset questions via Support
If you know your password - then if you are unable to verify any information regarding your account your questions will not be reset.
I apologize - If the information above is not the case try calling back in.

  • Lol, I am new to Mac, never called during 90. How/where can I learn basics. Nearest Apple store is 1 hr away. My wi fi keeps dropping. I guess thats why my email isn't loading??? Any help much appreciated.

Everytime I get near this Mac I do something to it. Today I have managed to make my screen small and have no idea how to make it bigger.

I suggest you buy David Pogue's "The Missing Manual for Lion" which is an excellent teaching resource.  You might also try Mac For Dummies (no slur intended) and read the manual for your model Mac.

  • Emails will not stop coming into Inbox. Even when deleted duplicates reappear over and over.

I am trying to find out how to stop this. It happens with all of my mail accounts, not just one.
I have tried deleting the accounts and setting them up again, but I have the same problem.
All of my new mail will load, over and over, this never stops unless i 'take all accounts offline'. I have been unable to check my emails due to the volume of emails coming into my inbox.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

What kind of account? IMAP, POP, Gmail?

  • How do I reset recovery email if I can't remember the answers to my questions?

I set up my iTunes account in 2000.  Since then, I've moved twice and no longer have any email that I might have used as a recovery email.  I can't figure out what the answers to my security questions are, due to having CRS half the time.  In the meantime, I have purchased hundreds of dollars worth of apps, music, and videos from the itunes store, but I can't purchase anything on my new iphone or my ipad due to the recovery email / security question issue.  HELP...

    Hi sirena,
If you set up a Rescue email address:
Go into Manage AppleID, Password and Security, and click the first option (see below), and you will be able to proceed from there..... (I HOPE the first button is showing for you!)
    Reset your password
You can change or reset the password for your Apple ID account by providing some information.
    Select your authentication method.
Email authentication: To access your information, we will send an email to the rescue email address on file for you.
Answer security questions: To access your information, you will need to answer the security question(s) provided when you originally created your Apple ID.
If you did not set up a Rescue email address:
    1. Go to Express Lane  and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security
       questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)
    2. Once your questions have been reset, and you set up new ones, also set up a RESCUE EMAIL ADDRESS, so if you forget them again, you won't have to go through all of this.....
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,

  • ITunes wants security questions that were never set, recovery email never gets reset email

    Ey guys.
I wan to buy a song but iTunes keeps asking me for verification.
It comes up with these random questions and I am unable to answer ten because they don't make any sense.
Fr instance it is asking me what my irate car was.
Well... I havnt had a car yet :(
Anyways I try to reset these questions by using the recovery email but I never get the email confirming the reset.
    PLEASE HELP!!!

Click here for information. If the option to have the answers emailed to you isn't available or doesn't work(the email may take a few hours to arrive), contact the iTunes Store staff via the link in the 'Additional Information' section of that article.
Nobody on these boards can reset them for you.

  • My recovery email address is incorrect how can I change this

    Hi
I have forgotten the answers to my security questions and the recovery email address is incorrect, how can I amend the recovery email address?
    Thanks

You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
It isn't possible to add or change the rescue email address without supplying two of the answers.

  • The utility's menu isn't coming up when I press and hold r and command after restarting

I have a Macbook air and The utility's menu isn't coming up when I press and hold r and command after restarting. I'm trying to restore my mac to factory settings. I have version 10.10.2 OS X Yosemite.

    Then try:
Install OS X Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer.

  • I can't remember my security questions and have no access to the recovery email address

I can't remember my security questions and have no access to the recovery email address

You won't be able to change your rescue email address until you can answer your questions, then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT5699
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've been reset you can then update your rescue email address to an account that you have access to for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201356
Or, if it's available in your country, you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

    Hi Gman,
Sounds like you may not have set up a Rescue email address (which is different than an Alternate one):

  • Keep receiving account recovery emails

Hello! I am new to skype forum community.
Could not find where to create new tread also. I have a problem with my account, I get constantly messages on my e-mail containing the following: Can you kindly help?
Hi Nikita, Your Skype detail so recover your sign-in details for Skype. If that doesn't work, try entering this code (d89338810fde3b60516fc51a689b844b) manually.
Please note this code expires in three hours. After this you'll need to resubmit the request to change your details.
    Thank you in advance

Hi and welcome to the Skype Community,
It looks like some other Skype user used your email address when signing up for their Skype account and is now trying to recover their password. Unfortunately their recovery emails and codes end up in your inbox
You might want to set up a specific filter to block emails from Skype containing the "Nikita" keyword (in case you need the Skype password recovery for your account some time in the future...)

  • My imessages have been hacked and recovery email changed and I can't delete it! (with pic)

My iMessages have been hacked and the hacker entered his email as the recovery email with security questions I can't answer. I contacted Apple support and went through the 24 hour process of changing my info so that I could get into the account, but his email address is still the recovery address and it does not give me the option to delete it. I've added alternate emails that can be deleted, but it will not let me change or delete the recovery email. I can change phones and passwords a million times, but if he can just recover my password what am I supposed to do? I have turned iMessage off on my phone (as well as the gps) but I would really like help in deleting that recovery email if anyone has any bright ideas! The pic below shows the only place in all of the settings that his email address shows up anywhere! Any help is very very very appreciated.

    Hi,
I don't think that can be solved by any advice the regular posters could post here.
I would go back to Apple and explain the situation (again).
I would also consider closing the account (Apple rarely seem to do this as accounts are never deleted but just closed).
I understand this may cause issues for things purchased in iTunes and the App Store which my include Restoring the OS at some point.
