Recovery from recovery discs made with recovery manager on g62

I got the blue screen of death and had to do a system restore for my hp g62 laptop. Before i restored the computer, the recovery manager launched and had me backup my files. I backed up the system on like 15 discs using hp"s recovery manager. After it was done, i returned the computer back to factory settings. Now, im having a problem using the recovery discs made thru the recovery manager. The files arent being read. I tried to copy them and move them onto the hard drive....and they are all saved as .wim files....which arent read by anything. So i have all my files backed up, but that arent opening. How the hell do i open my files that i backed up? How do i put my files back on the computer?

I've never really used the HP File Recovery system, but you can open an Image file as follows.
Download and install 7-Zip from the following link.
http://www.7-zip.org/
When installed, right click on the .wim file, select 7-Zip, select Extract Files and click Ok - your files should be in the newly extracted folder.

So when I am sending message to any Host(by specifying the provider URL) its distributing equally on both server like

But when try to listen message from these queue, it is listening from one server, for which URL given to connect.

untill I connect to other server by giveing its URL, will not able to access other message left on the queue.
Solutions that tried
1) we have tried give both server URL coma sparated in provider URL
we need to configur same scenario for 5 managed server with 3 listener on other servers.

You need to have:
1. Consumers connected to each UDQ member
OR
2. If no consumers in some of the members is expected, you can configure Forward Delay (specify the amount of time, in seconds, that a queue member with messages, but with no consumers, will wait before forwarding its messages to other queue members that do have consumers):

Recovery from created discs failed...what did I do wrong?

I had created the recovery discs shortly after getting the T61 - 6459CTO w/ Vista. It created 1 CD to be labeled START Recovery and 2 DVDs labeled Product Recovery 1 & 2. BIOS sequence was changed to boot from the CD.
Inserted and booted from the start recovery CD. It then asked if I had an Operating System Recovery Disc...I said YES but none of the 3 discs were recognized as valid after inserting so I pressed NO. It then asked for Product recovery Disc 1 and Disc 2 which I did. It then asked for a Supplemental recovery disc. I don't have one of those and pressed no. A message started counting down...went down to 1 second and the machine hung. I finally had to hold the power button for an extended time to power it down.
(a) Should my system have created an OS recovery disc?
(b) Should it have created a Supplemental Product disc?
(c) Is this the proper sequence for a recovery from disc to "out of the box" state?
(d) suggestions? (other than calling tech support for factory discs)

PS This is a fresh HD so no recovering from the service partition.

i assume that you have lost your hidden partiiton right?
supplementary s/w disks are model specific and donnot have much of an importance in recvery process it is the choice of the users according to which either you can use supplimentary cd's or not.but those cd's may contain essential s/w for runnning some services of your system as well..so coming to recovery thing ..if you aleady had vista installed you should not have done the reocovery process..if you still have vista installed try making the discs once again

Problems with syncing appointments from icloud i made with my earlyer iphone

Im having problems with my calendar after switching from iphone 4 to 4s. All the appointments in my calendar i made with the old iphone 4 will not sync to my new 4s. I can see them i icloud on my win pc but not on my 4s..
Theres no problem with syncing new appointments from icloud to iphone 4s. Only the old ones i made in icould my the old iphone 4.
I would like to have all the old ones on my iphone too.. Anybody got a suggestion to a solution???

It seems that the calendar wont let me make new appointments in the time before i activatet my present iphone. But all the subscriptions and birtsdays is there long before.. So why cant icloud do the same??

how do i get my mac to work. i have make a usb recovery disc. witch the mac mini recognize. after that it opens the disc utilty function. get to the disc info. but i can gt the repair function to work or to verify.....

Can you post a screen shot of what you see in Disk Utility? After taking the screen shot, post it using the camera in the reply section. You can't paste it in.

Restore music on new pc from Backup disc made from my other pc - no dialog

I did made a backup disc from my notebook and want to export the music to my nea pc by restoring the music on my backup disc to my new pc but the dialog does not appear when inserting the backup disc in my new pc. The 2 x computers are not linked via a network so I cannot transfer the music via the network.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

Technically if you no longer own the CD then you no longer have the right to a copy of the music.

Using footage from DVD disc shot with sony handycam

I'm trying to import some footage that was shot with a sony handycam. The camera records directly onto a mini DVD disc. I put the disc in and copied the files onto my desktop. When I import the files into FCP, it recognizes the .vob files, but not the other ones.....so, all I have in FCP is the video, but no audio. Any ideas on how to get the audio into FCP? Trying to avoid playing the mini DVD disc on a player and recording the audio, then importing that and then trying to sync....but will resort to that if necessary.

Get MPEG Streamclip (its free) from www.versiontracker.com. Use this to convert the files from your handycam to QuickTime videos using the DV codec.
Be aware that there will be a loss in quality as you convert your MPEG-2 videos to an editable format. Its unavoidable, and the reason professionals do not use direct to DVD cameras.

We don't use canvas natively, so the html5 canvas screenshot may not work for you. I did a quick websearch and there are libraries out there that may take a screenshot for you, but you may want to be wary due to privacy concerns with using third party software.

Are there any way to play movie from hard disc uploaded with java player?

I found quicktime player can export the movie as webpage versions, uses java to play the movie instead of quicktime player.
How can I do the same with iweb? From the webpage which quicktime generated said should insert some code to the head of page and something else, but how do I insert those codes to the page I create with iweb?

Printing with Bleed and Crop marks from a PDF made with PS

So, i have created a business card with a .125in bleed all around in photoshop. I know that you can go to File->print->output in photoshop and specify crop marks and the amound of bleed...however, i have saved my business card as a PDF from photoshop. I want to print from the PDF version as i have the plug-in quite imposing 2 for acrobat and use step and repeat to print multiples on 11x17 paper. How do i add the crop marks in the right place from Acrobat on the business card?

How to use the 5 recovery discs made when new???

I have a Toshiba Satellite L455-S5046. I purchased this laptop new in a factory sealed box, a little over a year ago.
When I opened it, I made the suggested recovery discs using 5 DVD+RW 4.7GB discs.
Well, now after having issues with installing a windows update and a bluetooth adapter, the laptop just doen't work the same. I get script errors on web pages and have been spending way too much time repairing issues like invalid "not genuine Windows 7" messages.
So, I attempted a recovery using the discs made when new, and the computer tells me the recovery disc is not valid. What the heck? I did exactly what the computer suggested on new startup. The discs are not damaged and have been stored in a safe place.
Can anyone walk me through using these discs? If I order the recovery discs from Toshiba, will this restore to original condition?

I just made a "System Repair Disk" going through Control panel, Backup and Restore on my L775D and it is identical to the Disk 5 made when I got the machine using the Create Recovery Media process.

If I restore my Windows from a CD that was given with my Qosmio G10, will I loose all my files?

Hi,
you have 2 options:
1. Recover the entire hard disc: all data will be lost.
2. Only recover the partition with windows on it: only the data in this partition will be lost.
So it's better to backup your files before recovery.
(By the way, with recovery CDs you can create partitions if you recover the entire HD.)

Installing a SSD Samsung 830 Drive on my 520 - Problem with Recovery partition

Hello,
I am installing a 128GB Samsung 830 SSD on the W520, and i've put the original 50GB HDD on a HDD bay replacing the DVD/CD. bay.
I did a system recovery on the HDD, to put it on its original states. Then I used Acronis True Image HD to clone the HDD to the SSD. I have the main partition on the SSD along with the Lenovo_recovery partition. I then install the SSD on the HD slot, and start the PC. No problem till there. It starts, and the machine works fine.
I then do a system recovery from the HDD, and the recovery process goes to the end, but when the system restarts, I have a crash and it asks me to introduce the windows recovery disk. But I cannot starts anything anymore.
If I reinstall the 500GB HDD, it start no problem.
Any idea? Thank you for your help!

Really? Then how did you get the Samsung SSD in there to begin with. Look, you got two choices here: 1. Return the SSD for a refund, or 2. Find a Windoes PC & update the firmware.
Why you'd purchase an SSD, to use in a Mac, whose firmware can only be updated using a Windows computer, makes no sense to me.

Running Windows 7 64-bit on 650gb drive.
Error: "The system media does not support this computer. You are not able to restore this system with the media."
I'm about to order the recovery discs from HP and with any luck be able to bring this laptop back to factory conditionn with all the correct partitions and sizes after I format the hard drive.

Yes our recovery disks will return your unit to the factory state. All the software that came with the unit will be reinstalled. Whatever you added you will have to reinstall.

Restoring a Data Backup Made With HP Recovery Manager - Recovery Manager has Since Been Removed

My system (Pavilion dm4 notebook, Win 7 Home Premium x64)) is working fine but I would like to restore a data backup made with HP Recovery Manager. HP Recovery Manager has since been removed from the system and I do not have a recovery disk. I tried installing sp45415 which supposedly runs a silent installer for Recovery Manager, but it silently fails on my system. The accompanying notes say it is applicable to Windows 7 computers and to Pavilion dm1 and dm3. There is no mention of the dm4. Is there some trick to getting sp45415 to run correctly? Is there somewhere I can download an installation package for HP Recovery Manager that works on the Pavilion dm4? Is there any other tool that can restore the backup made by HP Recovery Manager? If you uninstalled Recovery Manager it likely removed the recovery files in the recovery partition.When those files are removed-no download of Recovery Manager is going to install. You will need Recovery Media to boot from to restore the recovery partition and files. If you did not make Recovery Media you will have to order from HP. As for the files you are trying to restore- If this was a backup of personal files,photos,etc to external hard drive or dvds there should be one .exe file inside those files-probably Restore.exe or Recover.exe. Double clicking the .exe will extract the files to a folder on the hard drive of your laptop.
