If not, when your notebook doesn't have the recovery manager software, you will have to order a set of recovery disks for your notebook from HP.
Contact them for the country you live in at the link below.

  • Dv6775us HP Backup and Recovery Manager software corrupted - can't find download

I am getting an HP error message saying the HP Backup and Recovery Manager software has been corrupted and needs to be updated. For over an hour I have been frustrated trying to find where on this site to download a replacement of what was installed or an upgrade that would repair the problem.
Can anyone point me to where I can get the software? Thanks.

Did you make a recovery disk set or usb recovery media?
If you did, then you are in luck because  that is the software that can be used to reinstall the Recovery manager.
The downside is that you will have to do a  factory image recovery to reinstall the software.  A recovery is a destructive process, unlike a Windows stystem restore. A recovery will mean that you  will needto save all of your data externally  to avoid losing it and reinstall all of your programs after the recovery is complete.

  • Management software for VIC [M81KR] card "Cisco VIC Ethernet Interface" - Win 2k8R2

    Hi,
I am configuring a blade presently that has a VIC (M81KR) card installed.
In the UCS profile, I configured 4 vNICS
    - 2 vNICS for Public (One on Fabric A, one on Fabric B)
    - 2 vNICS for Private (One on Fabric A, one on Fabric B)
I have installed the OS (Win Server 2008 R2) and the Ethernet Drivers (Cisco Ethernet Driver).
What I want to be able to do is to bond/team the links together and tag VLAN traffic.
-- I've downloaded the Utility ISO from Cisco, however there is no management software for the VIC (That I can see). There is only software for:
        + Broadcomm, QLogic & Emulex..
    Any assistance is appreciated!
    Cheers, Chris.

Just to add to Simon's comments, we rely on fabric failover rather than a teaming driver.  This take the load off the host and puts it on the adaptor hardware.
The only other use case I've heard of for the teaming is in full width blades such as the B250 & B440, where customers may want to team across the two adaptors for great redudancy.  As the MTBF for the adaptors is extremely high, this wasn't seen as a priority/concern.  If you have another business or technical requirement that FF will not solve, please let me know so I can feed this back to our development team.
As for the VLAN driver, at present you need to configure unique NICs for each VLAN.  I've pushed on this request for some time and I'm told it has been planned for a future release.  I'll check to verify which release the Palo VLAN tagging driver (for windows) is tentatlively planned for and get back to you.

  • RAID Management Software for TS130 (Windows Server 2008 R2)

Hello, I'm needing assistance locating RAID management software for the TS130 in Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. In Device Manager, the drive has the following hardware ID: "IDE\DiskRAID11.0.00__".  Does anyone know of a utility to check and monitor the health of this RAID array from within Windows?

    Hi beau_goldkey,
Thank you for pointing out that we don't have the Intel RAID Management GUI software on the TS130 support page.  We'll work on getting that resolved.  In the meantime, the same software is used for the TS140 and can be found here.
    I apologize for the inconvenience!

  • Recovery Manager Software

    Hello,
My name is Adrian Danalache, and i own a HP G62 (Not sure if product number is relevant). It came with the OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
    The problem at hand:
I have re-installed a different OS that i own and that is Windows 7 Professional x64, however i have not done a back-up to disks of the pre-installed OS that came with my laptop. The Recovery partition is still there thow and i want to know if it's still possible to back-up the Recovery drive to DvDs. Albeit i know i would need the Recovery Media software or something along those lines. I have tried a few software i found on the forums but there were some compatibility problems. So if there is any chance i can still make the Recovery disks a response and a link to a compatible Recovery Manager would be very much appreciated.

  • Need security management software for OS 8.6 through 9.2

Are there any security management softwares available these days for OS 8.6 through OS 9.2? Something which lets the computer owner turn off firewire and USB is what I'm looking for. It would be nice to be able to allow only some selected USB devices, like a keyboard and a printer or scanner, and still disallow external drives or thumb flash drives, but turning off all USB would be useful on machines which don't need USB keyboards, like beige or B&W PMG3 computers or G3 iBooks.

  • Best project management software for mac

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best project management software or strategic planning software for imac??
    Thanks

If you are willing to spend money on professional tool with free support, if the team get's large, I would ask you to look at ConceptDraw Project. If you are dead set on open source and "free" software I would say that Redmine, Bugzilla or any other that has been around a while, and looking for plugins to make it suit your needs is one of your best bets.

  • Free Project Management Software for Mac or windows!

    Hi all,
Does anyone know of a good project management software that does more than what Microsoft project does and is freely available? I mean one that has a local application but also can update updates to the web side of the software? I saw sharedPlan which is really good so far but its not freely available. It runs on Mac and Windows but really looking for a windows version as all my team members only use windows.
So I guess am asking for one that's open source?
    Please let me know.

You might want to check out Wikipedia page and look for open source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparisonof_project_managementsoftware
The only free tools that I know of are web based such as Zoho projects, Basecamp etc..
Or you can always download and use for 30 days tools from:

  • Project/Task Management Software for iMac, iPad and iPhone

    Hi,
I work at a Espresso Bars company in Sydney and we have a small but busy Design & Marketing department.  We're looking for the best, yet simplest software so we can manage all the marketing and design projects.
I've seen a few good Online Management Software but they are quite expensive ($25+ per month per user).  The good thing about those systems is that you can access it from anywhere and people can collaborate, ask questions about a project, give feedback about a design, enter a new task or tick as completed, etc... And you can use it on an iMac, an iPad and an iPhone.
I came across Projector for iMac and iPad, but it is not online, if you want to share the project from iMac to iPad you have to conect your iPad to your computer and sync it.  It also works by projects, so there is no way for you to see in a single screen all the projects you're currently working on and the process of them.  So, although it being very user friendly and excellent UI, not sure if it is what we want.
I wanted to ask you if you know about another Project/Task Management Software that we can use on an iMac, iPad and perhaps and iPhone as well.  Something that you either buy the app once or if you have to pay a monthly fee it needs to be very low.  If it is online it would be much better! but everything would work I reckon.
User friendly and good UI software are preferred.
Thank you so much for your help!
    Cheers

  • New BlackBerry Desktop Manager software for Mac

Let me know if there is a better "BlackBerry" forum to ask these questions -- but just wondering if this software will backup Address Book on my Mac to my BlackBerry without erasing everything I've already entered into the Blackberry by hand the past 2 years...
...also we have the Enterprise (corporate account) BlackBerry license (BB 8820) - if I use the newly released BlackBerry Desktop Manager software will that make a real mess of things or is it compatible.
Thanks for any comments or references to other forums or such. I come here because everything I've done with computers since 1989 is MAC - and this is a great discussion site-- and yet my latest job is using BB's... (and most others are on PC's...)

As far as screwing things up, mine went fine. There were some comments about problems. If you go to crackberry. com, there is a Mac users area, under Forums/Blackberry Operating Systems and Desktop Managent.

  • Recovery Manager Asking for 5 Disks! HP G56-118CA

Hi.  Hopefully someone can help me.
To replace a corrupted HD, I did the following:
    1) I created the factory installed Win 7 resore disks (4 in total).
    2) Wiped my drives (not formatted, but wiped) for disposal security.
    3) Replaced old HD with new HD of same capacity.
    4) Started restore process.  After formating +/- 82%, the Recovery Manager ejected disk #4 and asked for disk #5.
I don't have a disk number #5 !  What has happened and how can I fix this?
(After reading the boards, I checked out the ordering disks from HP option for my model.  The recovery disk set is also 4 disks.)
Thanks very much for your advice and help!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I understand that you only had four recovery disks created from the system, but the recovery asks for a fifth disk.
Is it asking for disk 5 or a supplemental disk?  In any case, the disks you made are not working and there is no way to alter the files that are actually on that disk to change what it asks for at the end of the disk.
I suspect the best option would be to contact HP to have a set of factory recovery disks sent to you.  These disks would be made for this system specifically and should work without any issue.  Granted, the system made disks should work as well but some issues with them can arise.  In some cases where the user created disks are not working, you may get them sent at no additional cost. I will note that I cannot guarantee they will be at no additional cost.  In the U.S., they typically run $15-$20 USD.
HP can be contacted at 1-800-474-6836 in the U.S. and Canada.
