Recovery Mode ASAP

Right, I need help.
Yesterday, I changed my iphone 4 nmber pincode without realizing what i changed it2.
I got my phone disabled and It's frustrating, i just keep turning it off and on, and the disabled goes and I'm allowed to do retry attempts, however it's useless.
On iTunes, it say's my phone is backed up by iCloud, so I want to erase the phone and recover it.
However, when I do the hard recovery method of holding down the middle button and putting the usb wire in, the apple logos comes, 2 beeps come and it goes to the front screen...?
Why? I want it to go to recovery mode.
I am holding it down but my middle button is a bit dodgy, but i still hold it down and it works.
I need help ASAP, as I need my phone..

IPhone 4 Recovery Mode Loop PLEASE HELP ASAP

My iPhone 4 is stuck in a Recovery mode loop ever since I updated to iOS 6. I am using a mac running 10.8.3 with the latest iTunes. When it is connected to my computer iTunes pops up and says "An iPhone in recovery mode has been connected, you must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." Then I click restore and update and it goes through with the whole process then i get the unknown error -1 and an iPhone that is still in recovery mode:(

I called them and they said that they needed my serial number wich i do not have because my device is in recovery mode.

I have just set a passcode and somehow i am entering it wrong. I put it into recovery mode and says i can restore due to the fact i do not have the latest iOS. is there ANYTHING i can do? please help ASAP.

i dont know how i typed in my pass code wrong and now my iPhone is disabled. It will not let me restore it because i do not have the newset version of iOS 7. Please helppp

I thought you could still restore using iTunes on your computer. iTunes would download iOS 7.0.4 (current version) then restore from there. Of course, this assumes you are using a reasonably current version of iTunes.
Anyway, if I'm wrong and you cannot restore, try recovery mode descrbied here. Note you may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once.

i connected my ipod touch to my laptop windows xp and ipod was on normally and then it opened itunes like usual, but then the ipod touch iteself turned black! then itunes said it was stuck in recovery mode. so i clicked to restore it, and its in the process of restoring, then it stopped, window popped up saying error 6! my ipod touch wont turn on at all, restoring doesnt finish, help!!!

Error 6: All of the steps in this article apply to resolve this issue. Following iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125 ) frequently resolves this error. There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting a TcpWindowSize entry into your Registry. If your default packet size is set incorrectly it can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet size modification for assistance.

Also try to delete the ipod software file located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates to make iTunes download a new copy when you connect in recovery mode. Maybe the file stored on your PC is damaged.

IPhone 3gs stuck in recovery mode, firmware iO 5

My iPhone is stuck in recovery mode. I have a 3gs, firmware 5.0.
Before I tried to restore it, my iPhone would randomly shut off, turn back on, and display a notification that said "Activation Required." Now, sometimes my phone would shut off again and return to it's previous working state. However, this time it did not. I put the phone into recovery mode and tried restoring it on my Acer Aspire 1 with Windows 7. iTunes put the phone through the various stages of restoration; Extracting Software, Preparing iPhone for Restore, Restoring Software, Verifying Restore, Restoring Firmware. After all of this, a nice little error message pops up that reads, "The iPhone 'iPhone' could not be restored. An unknown error has occured (1)."
After this little mishap occured four more times, I decided to click "More Information," and was promptly brought to the help page set up here. I proceeded to troubleshoot by updating to the latest version of iTunes, updating my security, restarting my computer, and so forth until all the necessary precautions were performed. Now it was back to iTunes to try my luck at getting my life back.
To my delight, I found that this time the restoration process took upwards of forty minutes to complete. However, to my despair, a nice little error message popped up that read, "The iPhone 'iPhone' could not be restored. An unknown error has occured (-1)." Ah, a different error message! i thought, feeling as if there was hope in fixing my phone. I clicked "More Information" and skimmed through the specific error messages, looking for that lucky -1. Nothing.
I need help. I have attempted to restore my phone a dozen times since this occurence, and I'm growing tired of going through the same process over and over and getting the same result. My phone is stuck in recovery mode now. I've tried restoring the phone on 2 different computers, to find out if, in fact, the problem was my iPhone and not my computer.

I have an iPhone 3GS which I updated with the last firmware (iOS 5) 2 weeks ago. Everything goes ok.
And suddenly, while the phone was recharching. It asked me to activate it but I was unable to do it as it was rebooting constantly every time I connected it to iTunes.
I tried both 2 restore modes (Restore and DFU) but since I can't achieve a restore with the last Apple iOS 5 firmware. I got the error code 1.
I I tried on 3 different computers but same error. I really don't know what to do next...
I already called Apple Customer Care and I'm still waiting for an answer. I let you know.
And you, did you manage to get your iPhone back alive ?

IPhone 5 went into recovery mode trying to upgrade to iOS 8.1

So last night i tried upgrading my iPhone 5(iOS 8.0.2) to iOS 8.1. Initially the phone hung up maybe due to network being slow and i rebooted my iPhone which took around 10 mins just to come back on and then took about 2 hours searching for my network but in vain. Then i retried iOS upgradation only so that my network can come back. Upgaradation failed but network came back.
Today i went to a much better fast network and started my upgrade. An alert came of text "Verifying Upgrade" and after about 10-20 minutes my phone just went into recovery mode showing the Connect to iTunes sign. Now it keeps on saying restore which will delete all my data plus i need to download the entire 1.87 gb of it instead of just an up gradation of 64-65 mb. Now what am i supposed to do.
I have been using Apple products for the past 5 years almost as i am a iOS developer myself. Apple is really starting to loose it. I never had OS problems before and even the iOS 8.0.2 was too slow for my phone. Now this phone is not under warranty anymore so what i need to know from Apple ASAP is what do i need to do to make my iPhone up and running and i think they should cover this as this is their OS problem.

If your phone is in recovery mode, then connect to iTunes and restore your phone.

I was updating my iphone to ios 8 and it went into recovery mode. i went onto itunes to fix it and it said i needed to update my phone. when i clicked on it it said it would take 500 hrs and kept going on, then it would crash. plz help. :(

yesterday i tried updating to Ios 8. i new there were going to be some problems but i decided to do it. i started the update and less than a half hour into it my phone completely crashed.it went into recovery mode so i connected it to iTunes. i hit restore and update . it gave me and estimated time that kept going up. finally when it got to 800 hours it stopped and said an error occurred. i tried it again and the same error occurred. i am very disappointed in this because i greatly need my phone for school and other important things. i wasn't gonna wait that time anyway. i would like to know if there is anyway i don't have to update, get out of this screen without waiting forever, speed up the time, or get my computer to not crash when it gets to so many hours. I have experienced a similar error with the iPhone 4S. The new version of iTunes will not let me restore the phone, it must be updated and nothing appears to be happening. Suffice it to say I am not amused. Apple needs to work this out - I had trouble updating to 8.0.2 as well.

IPhone stuck in recovery mode after failed update.

Hi, I have a bad situation here... My iPhone 5 got stuck in recovery mode after I tried to update to iOS 7.1.1 from 7.0.4 and it failed (error code 6). If this was my iPod touch I would just restore it because all I have is music, but this iPhone has all my sisters graduation photos, important photos, important school documents, contacts, app data, videos from concerts. Etc. I was wondering if I could get the photos off the phone before restoring it, because they are important. I know I should've backed up my photos and made a backup of the phone, but I've been really busy with a lot of stuff. So I was just wondering if there is any way to get the photos and app data back. The app data doesn't really matter but the photos do. The device was not jailbroken or hacked in any way.
If you could help, tell me ASAP.

When your phone is in recovery mode, it's like it crashed. The only way that you can get it out of recovery mode is by restoring, and this erases all your data as well.
You can believe what you wish by "reading all over the internet". This is Apple's technical support forum. We do know what we're talking about.
since you have very important photos on your phone, why haven't you been importing them to your computer as soon as possible after taking them? This is how the phone is meant to be used. Keeping critical data on only a device which can be easily stolen, dropped and broken is just plain foolish. Also, did you not back up your phone (as you should be doing with any computer) before attempting any operating system update? As you've now just painfully learned, updates do not always go as planned.
I'm sorry for your data loss, but let this be a very important lesson. BTW, when was the last time you backed up your computer? I'm sure you have important data on your computer. Hard drives WILL fail.

My iPhone 4s is stuck in recovery mode after trying to update to iOS 7.1.2

I have an iPhone 4s and today I received a notification to update to iOS 7.1.2 so I started to install it, it failed the first time I tried cause I didn't have enough space in my phone, i deleted a few apps and then tried again. While it was installing, the apple logo appeared, I thought the update would be successful, but then the iTunes logo with the charging cable below appeared, meaning that my phone was (is) in recovery mode.
I tried pressing home and unlock/lock button at the same time until the Apple logo appears again but it didn't work since it sent me back to the recovery mode screen.
I tried using Tinyumbrella to exit recovery mode but it didn't work.
I tried restoring my phone in iTunes but I got unknown error 3194 and it didn't work.
I'm desperate to solve this, I've been looking for answers for 4 straight hours.
I'd appreciate it a lot if someone could help me ASAP.

hello guys,
i tried to install the latest version that software update informed me which was 7.1 something today, normally for me it would just go directly to the loading bar, but this time it shut down and went to the recovery mode or whatever(just telling me to connect to itunes)
because i hardly use itunes, i uninstalled it ages ago, but it seems like theres no way i can get out of this thing without installing one, so i installed the latest version itunes. when i connected my iphone to my laptop(windows), itunes responded "the phone software update server could not be contacted".
i had no idea what that was
i was thinking maybe is my itunes's problem? because when i connect my iphone, it didn't detect my iphone, it was just a blank itunes and i couldn't even connect to the itunes store...but i dont know
i did so much research, yet nothing has helped me so far.they said there's a high possibility that im going to lose all my data, but i really really dont want to, i have too much important things in there
im really hoping someone can help me with this problem, really cant loose my datas and need my phone getting back on asap!!!

Plug your ipod into your computer and load up itunes, it should sync and it should work

After you perform each step, try to restore your device.
Restart your computer.
Disconnect all your USB devices from your computer and connect to another USB port.
Use a different USB cable.
Uninstall third-party security software.
Try restoring using an alternate computer.
