Recovery mode crashed part way through

I installed an update on my iphone 5 this morning, and then it showed me the screen with the itunes app and the plug in cord.  I plug it into my desktop and it goes into recovery mode but crashed part way through. HELP!

Hi JILLYPAW,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on where you currently stand with your issue. If, after the crash during the recovery mode restore, your iPhone is now no longer responding or starting up, then you may find the following article helpful:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

If it is responding but you are unable to update or it has gone back into Recovery mode, then this article may be more useful:

And if you are able to start the restore but it gives you an error message partway through, then you should take a look at this article:

  • I have just tried to upgrade to the latest version of itunes, and my ipad was connected to my computer at the time. The upgrade crashed part way through. I now cannot start itunes as it says MSVCR80.dll is missing. Anyone got any ideas?

I was upgrading to the latest version of itunes, and my new ipad mini was connected to my computer at the same time, try to sync for the first time. The upgrade crashed part way through, and now itunes won't load and I get an error message saying MSVCR80.dll is missing. How do I do about reinstalling this file?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Burning problem-crashing part way through

I am trying to make an HD DVD with 6 movies and a menu.
It runs OK simulated but when I try to burn the disc it always crashes out .
I am puzzled by each movie having two audio tracks after passing them through Compressor set at HD DVD H.264 60 mins. After importing into dvdsp each movie has an AC3 audio and a Quick time audio with the QT H.264 video. Which should be used??
The part finished _TS file contains .EVO files. Are these the files that 'burn' uses?
    Confused.com
    Keith

HD DVD discs will only play on HD DVD players, Macs and some Xboxes, it is a format that has gone to the great beyond and will not play on most things.
Try using the high end HD m2v and aif files for encoding if you are making HD DVD, that seemed to cure some ills when trying to make a HD DVD. .EVO and the rest will get burned to the disc

  • When syncing Outlook to Pearl it crashes part way through.

Am using windows Vista business. I was using software version 4.3 and when trying to sync to my pearl it crashed with no message. Just program stopped working and had to close it. Once I received error code 0x8004fd30.  I upgraded to version 4.5 it crashed even sooner always giving the message "Error encountered. Error code - x8004fd30. Check documentation"
I can't sync my Pearl at all now. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I found this article. Not the same error code, but it's close: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB14818&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
To confirm if it's the Address Book causing the issue try opening Desktop Manager and going into Synchronize. Can you uncheck the Address Book option and manually sync to see if it completes? If so they try what the above article suggests

  • OS 10.3 install stalls part way through every time

I have attempted to install OS 10.3 on my older G3 iMac for two days, but to no avail. (I'm using the full-featured Panther installation disks.)
First, I performed the firmware upgrade successfully. Then I verified and erased the hard drive with the OSX Disk Utility from CD (no need to repair was indicated). Still, I checked the drive for bad sectors, boot block and allocation block errors, etc. with Norton Utilities and repaired them. Some major and minor errors according to NU, but I moved on after the fixes.
But after I launch the OS 10.3 installation process, my sessions just die part way through writing the files to the HD. The process stops in different places each time although always when writing files from the CD to the HD.
I'm beginning to suspect an imminent HD failure. In fact, maybe it has already happened because the last time I tried to run the install, a message was displayed in the upper left hand corner of the screen as if a Unix terminal session was running (just the black background with no window frame). The message said:
System Failure: cpu=0; code=00C059E8 (Unknown code)
    Latest crash info for cpu0:
    Exception state (sv=0x2CBA2C80)
Is there hope in completing my Mac OSX installation or is my HD hosed? If I need a new HD, does anyone know if local Apple Stores replace them in iMacs this old?
    Thanks!

Do they look exactly like THESE?
    "... with Norton Utilities..."
KEEP NORTON UTLILTIES AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE, FROM ANY MAC RUNNING OS X!
Hopefully your HD is salvagable. Run Repair Disk while booted from the install CD 1, until it reports a clean bill of health. Post the result.
If it cannot repair successfully, you will need to try a more powerful utility, like DiskWarrior.

    Hi brett242424,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The movie would be in your iTunes library, in the Movies application.  However, if the rental period has expired, you may need to contact the iTunes Store Support about your situation:

  • How do I continue a migration from iPhoto to Photos that was interrupted part way through?

I began a VERY large migration (40k+ photos) from iPhoto (v9.6.1) to Photos on an external hard drive.  I have a MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.3 that is connected to a network that has a Synology network drive.  The iPhoto library is on that drive and I was wanting to create the Photos library also on the drive.
The process was very slow and has taken days, but that is expected and it was definitely making progress (I could see the files being added over time). Unfortunately, the transfer was interrupted part way through (my kid closed my laptop, which disconnected it from the network). I tried to start it over with the partially created Photos library folder as the destination, hoping that it would pick up where it left off.  It worked until it reached the same files that were previously created. The migration stopped at that point, and the following error appeared: "Photos was unable to make a copy of your library before preparing it. There were file system or hardware issues…”  I assume the inability to overwrite previous files with the same names was the case of the "file system or hardware issues."
Is there any way to either continue the migration from where I left off, or maybe even manually move the rest of the files over? Or do I have to wipe out the entire partially migrated Photos library and start over?

You probably will have to start over
And I suspect that you are incorrect - as far as I know NO NAS is formatted Mac OS extended - A NAS is basically a Linux computer with no display or keyboard that uses a Linux format drive - a headless computer
Unless you have a directly connected drive correctly formatted you are cgoing to continue to have issues - your photos and your choice what risk you put them at but you are treading in very dangerous water with you set up - is it documented not to work and similar set ups have been reported here hundreds of times as causing major problems and losing lots of stuff

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Plus N911g - scanning stalls part way through

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus N911g. When I try to scan a large number of documents from the printer to my computer, the printer stalls part way through. Today I had a stack of 45 pages that needed to be scanned. I loaded them into the document feeder on the top of the printer, hit "Scan", "To Computer", chose my computer from the list, "Save as pdf" and start scan.
The printer started scanning, got through about 30 pages and then just froze up. The display screen showed "Now Scanning". I let it sit for over a half an hour, but it did not resume. The only way to get out of the stalled scanning was to turn off the printer and restart it.
This has happened multiple times. Is there a limit on the number of documents that can be scanned at a time?

    Hello aksnell,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
In my experience the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus would be best suited to scan such a large amount using the software provided. The printer has a internal memory of 128 MB, that will fill up very fast when scanning into the computer.
I would recommend opening HP Scan on the computer, select .PDF and scan the pages this way. It will still feed from the Automatic Document Feeder and also save all pages to a single file when done.
If you need a hand scanning using the software, replay back with the Operating System installed on your computer, Windows or Mac.
    Thanks for posting.

  • Embeded Flash files stop loading part way through after update to 10.2

Hello, I am currently having an issue with Flash. After the last update to 10.2, flash files, both audio and video, stop loading part way through them and do not start up again. For instance, on youtube, about 2 minutes worth of video will load but load slowly and then stop completely. The only way to get it to advance is to click past the section that has loaded and it will load the next 2 minutes. On Myspace Music, a song plays about 40 seconds each time and stops completely and will not load anymore, even if I try to skip to another part of the song. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit edition with Firefox 4.0 Beta 12 64 bit edition as well. Also I have tried clearing my cache, cookings, temp files, removing and installing Flash countless times, including older versions, as well as tried Google Chrome and IE. All give me the exact same issue no matter what I do. It is really frustrating because I cannot watch or listen to anything embeded in Flash online without having to keep clicking the next section every little bit. If anyone can help, please do and I thank you.

Hi, Since your OS is a 64bit, are you using the 32bit browser for IE? I see you have the FF beta. Have they come out with a 64bit browser? I don't follow the FF beta so if that's true, it's news to me.
    Let me know,
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • Hi..can anyone help? Songs on my itunes are not playing to the end? They cut off part way through a song. Its not on all the songs but lots of them? thanks

Hi..can anyone help? Songs on my itunes are not playing to the end? They cut off part way through a song. Its not on all the songs but lots of them? thanks

A couple of months ago, I went to the Apple Store to try and sort this problem out. I was told that I was not playing my songs out of an actual music library. I created a library and loaded all of my songs, movies, etc. onto it. I had found that when I synced my songs from the new library onto my itouch, the songs no longer stopped in odd spots or bled into each other. To ensure that most of my songs had been fixed, I played the ones that were the most problematic. Fortunately, the songs play all the way through without any interruption. So far, I have not encountered the same problems that I had posted in my question. I apologize for not knowing the fellow's name who helped me with my iTouch at the Apple Store, but I would like to say how thankful and happy I am now that my iTouch no longer skips to the next song.
I know that other people have had this same issue with their iPods. If you encounter your music not playing correctly, I would suggest that making a new library and  loading all of your music into the new one may help correct the problem. I hope that this helps.

    Hi
FIRST OF ALL - THE MAJOR ADVICE in this forum EVER !
In iDVD - Before Burning the DVD DO !
    Save as a DiskImage
Double click on this .img icon
test the new Pseudo DVD (looks like a white hard disk) with DVD-tool
    THEN
    • DVD Brand - matters
    • DVD type used - matters
    • BURN SPEED - matters
    • Audio file format - matters
    WHAT did You use
    I only use
    - Verbatim
    - DVD-R SL
    - x2 max x4 - Best / High - IS NOT BEST
    - .aiff - NO .mp3, .wma etc alient formats - from iTune EXPORTED OUT as .aiff ONLY

  • My L7680 intermitently prints gibberish part way through pdf documents.

My printer has recently strated to intermitently print gibberish part way through a pdf document.  It happens most often if the document is long, eg more than ~5 pages or if I send several pdf documnets to the print queue.  If I resubmit the document for printing, often it comes out OK or it goes wrong later in the document.
I'm running Windows XP and I access the printer through a BT HomeHub wireless.  I've tried reinstalling the drivers, resetting the HomeHub and running the HP Diagnostic software with no joy (the latter found no problems).  The problem does not seem to occur when printing Word documents.
    I hope someone can help.

There have been reports of Vista not working well with older networking equipment.  Here's a link to a Microsoft note on this subject.
I also have a couple of other questions:
When the printer stalls, can you ping the printer from the PC?  Can you access the printer's internal web page by browsing its IP address?
How is the PC connected to your network (wired or wireless)?
Are there other wireless devices on the network besides your PC and your printer?
When the printer stalls, can you still browse the internet from your PC?
