Recovery of information from lost iPad

I lost my Ipad2 last week, and have been trying to recover my "Notes" and my videos.  Unfortuantely I can't seem to find them on my computer, and I'm not sure why.  I would assume that when I sync to my computer that ALL material is transferred and saved.  Is this not the case?

Notes and videos taken with the iPad should be in the iPad's backup - which you probably won't be able to make any use of unless you restore the backup to another iOS device. The location of the backup is :
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
For notes you could also check to see if they stored on one of the email accounts that you had on the iPad - try logging into them via a browser and see if they have a Notes folder under them.
Videos and other media content bought from Apple are not included in the backup.

how can I transfer information from one ipad to another ?

What kind of information? You can sync things like Contacts and Calendars by using iCloud. You can backup one iPad to iTunes on a computer and then sync the backup to the other iPad. You can configure your iTunes content and sync the same content to both iPads.
It is based on what you want to do. Or are you looking for a way to send files from one iPad to another wirelessly? There are apps to do things like that, as well as cloud services, such as DropBox.

How do I remove my credit card information from my iPad mini?

Try this and see if it works for you. Not everybody can use the "None" option from the iPad, but try it anyway.
    Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID
    Tap your ID
    Tap View Apple ID
    Enter your password
Go to Payment Information in the popup window
    Select "None"

How do I remove my credit card information from my ipad and ipone account?

Nice idea, but no.  You are no longer allowed to remove it, it will keep asking you for a valid account and won't let you save it with anything less.  So if your account has been hacked from iTunes (like mine has in the past, to the tune of several thousand dollars), and you don't want to keep a credit card on file, just add it in and delete it when you are done buying something, this is no longer an option.  Since I stupidly wanted to buy something and didn't know this had been changed, I now get to hope my account does not get hacked again.
I am so sick of Apple making everything so bloody difficult, I'm about this close to ditching my iphone and ipad.  They are fabulous when they work, but if you have software problems (my ipad is currently a very expensive book reader, since it won't do anything else with any reliability after going to iOS 6), there is no help available, and no fixes available.  Help online just sends you in endless circles, help on the phone is useless if you have not paid for a service contract.

  • My iPad 2 will no longer Sync with iTunes on my computer.  It tells me to Restore which I don't want to do as I may lose valuable information from my iPad. My wife's iPad 2 and my ipod still Sync OK. How can I overcome this?

Upgrade to Snow Leopard - it's compatible with the latest version of iTunes, and still supports PowerPC applications.
    $19.99 - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

  • Photostream from lost iPad

My iPad mimi was stolen while travelling overseas last month. I set it as a 'lost mode' a couple hours later from my friend's Mac, but it has never been connected to the internet and actions (lost mode & play sound) are still pending.
However, I found hundreds of photos stored in my iPad were copied into my iPod touch today. I want to know how it could happen without being connected to the internet. Or maybe someone connected to the net but Find My iPhone didn't activate? (Unfortunately passcode was unclocked that day, and I didn't make backups of the iPad on iCloud.)
I haven't used iCloud except for Find My iPhone and I have little knowledge, so this might be a silly basic question. But there are thousands of photos in my iPad and I'm wishing to retrieve them. Or If I could find my lost iPad, that would be perfect...
    Thanks in advance.

The thief may have turned off Find My iPad in settings before it was connected to wifi.  It had to be connected to wifi to upload photos to photo stream though.

You can only authorize five computers to use one iTunes account.  The message is telling you that you have five authorized.  One would be the associated with the crashed hard drive. If you have access to an authorized computer that is not needed to be authorized you can authorize it and then authorize you now new computer.  Once a year Apple allows you to deauthorize all computers so yu then can authorize the ones you now want authorized.  To deauthorize all computers see the following.

  • How do i transfer information from one iPad to another as I recently bought a new one and want to give the original to someone else.

I bought an iPad 2 in May without 3G and recently decided I wanted that feature so bought a new one with 3G.  I want to give the original to someone else, but need to know how to transfer my data and apps to the new one and "wipe" the other so it doesn't include any personalized information.  How do i do that?

The sync should backup the iPad as Fred said but take no chances.
Connect your iPad and let it sync. Then right click on the iPad name on the left side of iTunes under devices and select Transfer Purchases. After that completes, right click on the iPad name again and select Backup. After that completes sync one last time and disconnect the iPad.
When the new iPad arrives, before you connect the iPad - launch iTunes and turn off auto sync. From the menu at the top go to File>Preferences>Devices> and check "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Quit iTunes.
Now connect the iPad and launch iTunes and activate the device. Then after setting up the iPad - right click on the iPad name on the left side - select Restore - restore from Backup -the backup of your old iPad. When it finishes - go into each tab in iTunes and make sure that you have everything that you want to put on the iPad selected to sync - by putting a checkmark in all of the headings - Sync Apps, Sync Music, Sync Photos, etc. Then select all of the content that you want in each of those tabs and then sync by selecting Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
If you have the opportunity to restore from the backup when going through the activation process- restore then and there. I can't remember if iTunes will ask if you want to restore from the backup but if so - go ahead and do it.

  • How do i remove my credit card information from my iPad

Is there a way to download free apps and still get updates on apps if my credit card is expired.

If you have a credit card on your account then it has to be valid, if it's expired then you will get an error message when trying to download anything.
To remove your card's details from your account then on your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account  - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or you can remove it via your computer's iTunes by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

  • I'm relatively new with my iPad...how do you upload your information from one iPad to another on the computer?

You need to sync the iPad using iTunes but you can only do this with one computer.
    Cancel auto-sync
On a Mac, go to the iTunes menu -> Preferences -> Devices.
On a PC, go to Edit -> Settings -> Devices
