Recovery project automatically deleting all audio and video transitions

When Premiere crashes, the recovery project has automatically removed all audio and video transitions. This has happened to one project about 3-4 times.. Has anybody seen this or has a solution?

No ... but I'll just kick in here that it is good to have your auto-save set for not too long a time, and not a bad thing to manually save-as to an incremental every so often. It does mean your last couple few minutes of work need to be re-created, but ... that's nothing compared to losing a LOT of work.

OT: What viewers do you need to use ALL audio and video files?

I had a lot of trouble with audio and video files on my PC. I
now have a
MacBook Pro, which is a big improvement. But I still
frequently
encounter files that I can't use. I try to open them, but
Apple doesn't
know what to do with them. For example, I often encounter
unusable
videos while perusing news websites. I also have some audio
files with
.mva or .mvw extensions that don't work.
So what viwers/players do I need to download in order to be
able to play
every audio/video file that comes my way? iTunes handles .mp3
files, and
I also have QuickTime installed. I just viewed another video
after I
installed a Flash plugin. What else do I need to install?

Old Projects in HD poor audio and video

I had an old on going project that I have added to for 2 or 3 yrs.
using imovie 2,3,4,5 and HD It would not ''share'' back to tape.
Some nice people on this forum advised me to export the project to
quicktime then back to a new project. I did that and it seemed to
work fine, even burned an idvd.
But the next day when I played the dvd and also tried the tape
the video and audio was was not good quality. Is a reduction in quality
to be expected or did I do something wrong ?
I really appreciate the help and information I've gotten from all
the great people on this discussion group

How to apply audio and video transitions automatically when drop multiple clips to timeline?

If I remember OK, in previos versions of Premiere it was possible to Drag multiple Clips from project area to timeline, and apply automatically audio/video transitions.
It was possible to configure how many video frames will be overlapped to do a default transitions (and for audio, also).
Is it possible in Premiere CS6 to do the same thing ? Leave me a link to documentation, or a hint, how to get this thing done.
I have searched over the documentation, but i have not found.

I believe the feature you're referring to is Automate to Sequence. In CS6, it was in the Project Menu; for those using CC, it is in the Clip Menu.

ITunes 6 makes all audio and video on PC scratchy/jerky

This is for a friend: since updating to the latest iTunes on an HP laptop, all audio in all apps (iTunes, Windows Media, Quicktime, system sounds) is scratchy and all video is jerky. Everything. Every application. Everything is a total wreck. Quicktime settings are correct according to apple "support" documents. No idea what's wrong. Anybody have any ideas?
Win XP, current version, iTunes 6.0.1.

Locking all audio and video tracks

Hmm. I want to lock all the tracks in video but Shift - F4 does zilch. Nor, for that matter, does Shift - F5 for video.

That's great. A simple adjustment and it works like a charm. Voila! One click of the mouse and the locks all snap like a year old bagel.

Delete all pictures and videos after the restart iPhone

I used various iPhone 3G 8 Gb, 3G 16Gb. Now 3Gs 16Gb. It had all the firmware. Now 3.1.3.
And all had the same problem - after restart iPhone all the photos taken on the iPhone, from the album disappeared.
Why is this and how to fix it?

For what completely insane reason would someone attempt an iOS updare (or any operating system update) without first ensuring all their media and other important data was backed up?
Pictures taken with the iPhone are designed to be regularly copied off to a computer. Apple even provides PhotoStream to sync them to multiple other devices as well as including them in the backup done via iTunes or iCloud.
If you elected to not take advantage of the multiple ways of saving the date before updating iOS and it is now lost, tough luck.

New Project will not save, re-open with accurate or matching audio and video.

I filmed footage last week. Uploaded it into Premiere Elements and edited the footage in Elements, and saved my work as a project. I opened Elements this morning, and upon opening my saved project I was prompted by the program to locate the file. When I then selected the raw footage files, it loaded the project, but with audio and video out of order, not synced, etc.
How do I save my work as a stand-alone project file with the audio and video synced as I intended, in a format that I can load, share, re-open and work on without having to re-locate the raw video?
This seems to be a basic function of Video Editing software, so I hope it is something small I can adjust and move on from. Oh Also all the files, both project (.prel) and raw footage (.mov) are saved on the desktop of the computer i am using to run Premiere Elements.

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
After you have created a project and it has been saved, you should be expected to be able to reopen the project with the
project as before the save/close (some discussion about rendered files remaining rendered, but essentially as written).
When they do not, we can invoke the damaged project syndrome.

If you are getting "Where is the file....?" messages when re-opening a saved closed project, typical reasons
a. you have moved, deleted, or renamed files and folders that were imported into the project after the save close...when
you import media into a project, all you get are copies of the originals in the project. But the project needs to trace back
to the originals in the hard drive location where those originals were when first imported into the project.
b. if you store your source media on an external hard drive, the external hard drive may be malfunctioning and/or the
drive letter of the external drive changing for a variety of reasons. Does any of that apply to you.
Please review and consider, and then we can decide what next.

Synchronizing several audio and video files automatically in premiere?

I'm working on a short film shot on the Arri Alexa, and all my audio is on seperate audiofiles, though synced through time code. So I'm wondering: In Premiere CC, is there a way to automatically synchronize several audio- and video files, using timecode (as you can in Avid), without having to merge them individaully? THis would save me a lot of time.

You can try using the "create multicamera sequence" command. That will create "multiclips" of your footage with its related audio. It can sync with timecode or use the audio for synchronization. When you need to export the edit for color grading, you can select all of them and choose multicamera>flatten. But beware that if you apply effects, such as speed ramp or intrinsic effects, those will be removed on a "flatten" command.

I am trying to export a video from Premiere Pro. I have both audio and video checked and the sequence is active but only the audio exports. There is no video at all. Can anyone tell me how to get the video to export. It was working fine until today.

I am choosing entire sequence. The audio exports but the video and title does not. Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this so I can complete this project? Please!

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Honestly, I don't even know why this is an option. The conversion to Flash is completely unusable.
I have exported some things to Flash, and since I program in Flash all the time I was able to manipulate to work to some degree. Most text captions are built with multiple elements and completely fall apart.

OS/CPU/RAM/GPU/vRAM ... version of PrPro ... and other programs or plugi-ins/3rd-party apps involved ... footage type/codec/wrapper ... such things would be very useful.
