I attempted several times to update Camera Raw Ver 6.7 to my PS 5 and PS 6 but failure notice was prompt even after 100% complete message was shown. Can you tell me the reason?
BR,Without proper system information and other technical details like the actual error messages nobody can tell you much.

my ipod was in recovery mode and fixed it. i can use it. but the problem is whenever am i connect it with itunes it says IPOD is in recovery mode even after recover is done. i cant sync ipod rite now. it showing same msg again. nyone knows wat to do plz??
I did the restore and it cleared and reset the iPod but after it finished the same error came up. I tried this 3 times. Also it no longer shows up as a drine in My Computer.
if it's relentlessly doing that to you, it's plausible that the message is being caused by a Windows drive letter confusion. (that's consistent with the disappearance for My Computer, too.)
see the following article for troubleshooting information on that possibility:
"iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode - Use iTunes to restore" -
Hey guys, I was playing on my ipod 2nd gen the other day, and it went into recovery mode and wont go out even when i restore it. How do i fix this?
What happens when you connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes? Error message?

IPhone 4S stuck in recovery mode even after restore
Yesterday my sister told me she had a problem with her iPhone.
She was on 5.1.0 and updated OTA to 5.1.1. When the update was done, her iPhone rebooted and displayed the 'connect to iTunes' screen. She gives it to me, I do what I can and after several restores the only thing that shows up after a restore is the 'connect to iTunes' screen. In iTunes, it says it's in recovery mode and needs restoring....again.

any solutions? This is Apple's troubleshooting for restore loop issues (from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694):
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes): This issue is typically caused by out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software. Please followTroubleshooting security software issues if USB troubleshooting does not resolve this issue.
You may want to disable any security software you may be running on your computer and try to restore it again. If that doesn't work, try USB troubleshooting steps (also from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694):
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network. -
I-touch will not come out of recovery mode, even after restore attempts
iTouch became unresponsive after charging. The screen dispalyed icons indicating it should be connected to iTunes.
iTunes said that it was in recovery mode and needed to be restored.
Multiple attempts at restore have been unsuccessful. After each restore "completes", the ipod reappers in iTunes saying that it is in recovery and must be restored.
ITouch buttons will only shut it down by holding down the top black button. Power down never appears on screen, home button is unresponsive.
iTouch is only 6 months old.
Thanks so much for any ideas!Did you check your security software settings, to allow iTunes to contact Apple during the process?

How to recover from an iPod Touch 2G stuck in recovery mode (even after using DFU)
I have an iPod Touch 2G which is in a mode that requires recovery. When connecting it to a Windows XP computer running iTunes 11.0.2.25(HP) it is detected as needing recovery. I think it has got into this state from pressing random buttons when it stopped working (not a good idea!).
I turn off my AVG antivirus software and Windows firewall and start the iTunes recovery. This fails with error 40.
I now try putting the iPod into DFU mode using iREB-v6. This reports that the iPod is in "PWNED DFU state". I then try the iTunes restore again and this time the iPod screen turns white and then I get an error 21.
I have tried 2 different cables and 2 different computers (Windows XP and Windows 7) and have also tried different USB ports.
Whilst this iPod was never knowingly jailbroken a visit to an Apple store was unsuccessful in that they claimed it had been jailbroken. Various combinations of buttons have been pressed together but no different firmware installed. I don't want to jailbreak it - just restore the factory settings. I'm not bothered about retaining any contents of the iPod.
Any ideas on what to try next and any advice on what the updater log is telling me precisely about the problem would be really useful.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

To make a very tedious story short, My Mac decided that it would crash and not reboot the OS. I decided to bite the bullet and just reformat, sacrificing my very important data. I have tried just about every trick in the book. There is one one major problem I am facing. When I try to reformat the internal HDD using Disk Utility. It fails to unmount. "Make sure that all applications and files are closed on this disk.", Suggesting that the computer is ignoring my command at startup to boot from my external recovery drive, and using the Recovery partition on the problem drive, making it impossible to reformat the drive. When the internal drive is removed and connected by another method it is not recognized.
I failed to read the fine print on the box that suggested I purchase another Mac to fix problems with my primary Mac because any utility with the potential to fix the problem can only be run on a functioning Mac.Booting to any version of the Recovery system, the built in partition on the internal drive, a recovery partition on an external drive or from the Online internet system will not stop you from formatting the Macintosh HD partition on the internal drive. So your problem is not that you are booting from the internal Recovery HD partition. It is probably your internal hard drive has problems, failing.
You could try booting the system from the Online system. At startup hold down the Option/Alt + Command + r keys and keep them held down until you see a globe on the screen. That will boot the system from across the internet from the Apple servers completely removing the internal drive as a boot source. If you still can't erase and format or repartition and format the internal drive then your drive has problems and will need to be replaced. -

I have done the reset with the wake/sleep buttons, it goes to the silver apple screen, then it just goes right back to the recovery screen. I tried it plugged into my computer and not plugged in, and it keeps going back. Please help me!

It provides information regarding that error. That is generally due to a problem with security software in a Windows environment. Temporarily disable your antivirus software and/or firewall. Kaspirsky software is a real problem for this. See if this helps you finish the update and get the iPhone working again.
p.s. It actually isn't an Apple iPhone problem, it has to do with Windows antivirus software. -
DV4 keeps showing recovery manager even in safe mode
Hello everyone,
i have a hp pavilion dv4 with windows7 64 bit intel core i5. It had been going well until last month. After I did several shut downs I ended up with a problem. Whenever I start up the computer HP Recovery Manager loads. I finished using system recovery but still the recovery manager shows after starting windows instead of showing welcome. i finished all system recover, minimize image recovey and i cant use the microsoft system restore
I can get into setup, the f8 f9, f11 etc. options. But chosing any, including safe mode just continues to load recovery manager.
Also selecting "run a computer checkup" in recovery manager (since that is the only option besides a system recovery) causes the machine to reboot and load recovery manager again.
Any ideas? please ASAP
Thanks,
cheirmaneSo the hard disk looks good but your system files are shot. Seeing that your recovery partitions appears to be corrupt you will have to use recovery disks to perform a factory restore and I presume you did not create them when you got the computer.
If you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144, and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks.

IPod Nano 5th Generation Stuck in Recovery Mode even after Restore.
Hello,
I have an iPod Nano 5th generation (model number A1320) that I would like to completly restore to working condition.
Currently it is stuck in "recovery mode".
I have followed the steps given by Apple here on a Microsoft Windows system with the latest Apple iTunes software but after step 9 I am back to "recovery" mode where I am given the option of performing the restore process all over again.
How can I restore this iPod Nano?
Thank you.Hello tmason101,
