Recreate a pages document in mail

Let's say I've created a document in pages. Then I want to email it to others. I don't want it to be an attachment, but I want the email to look just like the pages document I created (kind of like those apple emails). Thanks in advance.

It can sorta be done - but not direct from Pages [whether Pages should have the facility to convert a Pages document to a stand-alone document that can be read by someone without Pages is a matter for another time].
Theoretically, Pages can export a document to HTML. The HTML document can be looked at with Safari, and Safari DOES have an 'email this page to.." function.
The reason I say "theoretically" is that the HTML export of Pages is not meant to be very good [according to many people in these forums. I've not tried it, myself], so I don't think it's the best way to generate an HTML page.
Mail uses Safari's HTML renderer, so any HTML document that can be read with Safari should be emailable.
Of course, the question of whether you SHOULD send an HTML email is a matter of debate [many people block them on principle, for instance]

I'm using Mac OS X 10.4 with Pages 2, and my experience is that email and web site links work fine when exported to PDF, MS Word or HTML file formats.
What version of Pages are you using?

Sendmail plugin: emailing multiple page document, each page to a separate email address

when I try to email a document to separate email addresses it will not separate the pages, The Sendmail plugin claims (in the page with the "next" button) that it will read each page and use the email address found there to mail that page to that address, but it only creates a multiple page document to mail to the address found on the first page.

Apple Mail stationery via third party templates, or custom development is another possibility. The latter isn't for beginners, and is made more palatable by the use of commercial tools like Mail Designer Pro. Apple Mail stationery embeds the graphical elements into the e-mail, rather than a dependence on those images hosted on a remote server.
Yesterday, I composed an email with Apple Mail stationery, and sent it to a peer, who received it in Outlook Web App (OWA). This was on a 2010 Exchange Server. The e-mail appeared in the Microsoft mail user agent just as intended by my original composition within Apple Mail.
I also tested the “Send Contents of This Page” feature from Safari 6 on Lion (10.7.5) that opened an Apple Mail composition window with the web page displayed. I prepended the page content with a short message and sent it on to OWA with similar results to above. On Mountain Lion, the equivalent would be the Sharing icon on the Safari toolbar that contains ”Email this Page.”
Caveat. There is no assurance that all e-mail clients will embrace Apple Mail stationery, or any HTML e-mail composition with equal compatibility.

Hard to say what is happening without examining the file.

It's difficult to do more than guess when you don't say what version of OS X or Pages you're running, but if you're on the latest, have you tried the Share menu -> Send via Mail command?
If that doesn't help, you may have better luck if you ask in the Pages forum:

Hit File > Export... and choose Word Document.

Not there aren't any special settings for this. You just use the Open In feature to save the document into Pages. You could have a font in the document that Pages doesn't like, maybe something that you copied and pasted from somewhere into the document that went corrupt. But there is nothing special about the way that you save a Word document into Pages. You save it like you save any document or file into a compatible app.

Are you sure PDF won't work? It should as what you're trying to do is pretty much what it is designed for (PDF - Portable Document Format). On a Mac anywone who receives the file should be able to see it in all its page layout glory by using the app Preview or Adobe Reader. Same on a PC, the file should be viewable as a PDF file using Adobe Reader and probably some other viewer (don't use PCs so not sure what other apps).
What application are you creating the file in and are you sure you're exporting it correctly in PDF format, fonts and images embedded?

Problem sharing .pages documents as Word via Mail

Hello All,
I have recently begun using Pages on my MacBook Pro, but I am having an issue sharing my Pages documents through the program.
I click Share>Send via Mail>Word , but when I do this, it only gives me a "frog" sound as if I am doing something wrong, but Mail will not open or attach the document.
I have tried changing the document name, making sure there are no / or \ , but this has had no effect.
Is there anything I could be doing wrong?

Illegal characters are generally those Windows doesn't allow in file or folder names. There are also those UNIX doesn't allow. Just play it safe & use alphanumeric characters, spaces & hyphens.
You can just export the file using File > Export or Share > Export & then attach that to a new Mail message. Probabaly easier than trying to figure out why e-mail via the Share menu doesn't work.

when sending Word version of Pages document in email, says character borders not supported so were removed, so email didn't have all of the text of the Pages document

Not that I know of. Would be less practical than the option coming from Pages -- everyone using Pages probably has some default email client, but far from everyone using Mail would have iWorks and Pages. So building in the feature to Mail not so practical.

Hello-
I use gmail for my e-mail server. I am trying to e-mail some Pages docs that are on the desktop. When I click "Attach" and the window comes up, go to "Desktop" and all the Desktop icons show up except the Pages documents are not highlighted like all other pdf, etc. docs are. Unable to attach Pages docs to an e-mail?
Anybody have an help? Novice here but want to learn more.

Control-click the documents, compress or archive them, and attach the zips. iWork documents are packages, not single files, and can't be attached directly.

Can't attach Pages document to e-mail...yahoo or gmail.

When I try to attach my resume (Pages document) to an e-mail, the document is grayed out from the list of things I can attach. The document is definitely closed, and I've tried saving it to both the hard drive and the desktop, no go.
I can attach other things, pictures, text edit documents just fine. Pages won't let me save the doc with anything but a .pages extension. A friend suggested it was a yahoo thing, so I tried gmail. Is it a Pages thing?

Control- or right-click on the file in the Finder & choose "Compress" from the contextual menu that appears. The option is also available from the File menu in the Finder.
