Recruitment -Sites

My question is regarding the E-Recruitment Sites in 9.0. I was going through the white paper posted in metalink on Sites(based on v8.9). In 8.9 while defining a site, there is a field named *'Row Security'* that controls the jobs to be seen in the job postings site(Internal or External Openings). You have the control over what jobs are seen by applicants in each site of the job posting. (SetupHRMS-->Recruiting-->Sites)
Strangely, this field (Row Security) is missing in 9.0 while defining a site. But in the PeopleBooks for 9.0 it still mentions "You can set up an unlimited number of sites for an organization. For example, an organization can have a unique site for each business unit in the organization, and applicants accessing those sites can have access to job openings for each specific business unit. " But it does not state where to define the criteria for enabling the job postings from a particular BU(Row Security in 8.9 makes this work but what about 9.0?)
My requirement is to view only one set of job openings(per BU) in a site from 9.0. Can anyone help me out?

• Popular SAP Recruiting Sites in Germany?

Hi -
I'm from the U.S., but am currently recruiting for a position in Munich Germany. I have posted an ad here in the Career Center, but would like to post the ad on more sites. I know all of the popular sites in the US where SAP resources look for work (e.g. Dice.com, Monster.com), but I have no idea what the equivelent sites in Germany are...could anyone help me out?
Thank You,
LL

gulp.de is quite big in Germany, jobserve.com is an English site but has positions all over Europe.

P.S. I forgot to ask, contract or permanent? If permanent, then jobserve.de might be worth checking out, also monster.de and stepstone.de

• Recruitment Site development - User Access

Hi everyone,
I would like to find out if it is possible to develop an
application like a "recruitment" web site with Dreamweaver CS3.
One of the functions of the site will be the ability for a
job seeker to register, go to a page and then enter all his
details, as well as enter details into the CV creator form. He must
then be able to log back in, and only see his page- Is this
possible with CS3 and php/mysql. Also - recruitment companies must
be able to login, create their own profile and list jobs. Is this
functionality available with the Dreamweaver CS3 "User" modules -
for lack of a better word.
I appreciate any feedback.
Thanks,

Certainly it's possible. This may help (as well as the many
other tutorials
posted in the same location) -

• E-Recruiting error in SLG1 Log after modification to Container Sequence

Hello there,
We are running E-Recruiting 3.0, and I have made a change to the Container Sequence for the Applicaiton Wizard (both employee and external candidate). My HR group wanted to remove the tab that was for candidates to type in a cover letter, and instead have them attach it (Word doc etc.) on the attachment tab. After doing this, I did regenerate the URL's using RCF_GENERATE_URLS.
Now, when I am logged in as a recruiter, if I go into "Candidate Selection" and then drill into the "Application" for any of the candidates, I'm getting an error message in the SLG1 log (I am able to look at the application, only noticable issue is in the SLG1 log). It is within the Application, and not the Candidate Profile that the text from the "cover letter" tab was showing up.
The error message is:
No candidate could be found for US SUPPORT
The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_CANDIDATE===========CM003 line 345
Further details include:
Error ID: D66242F98A2D11449DAF9AF0F1EC7982
Error class: CX_HRRCF_MAINTAIN_OBJECT
Error context: CX_HRRCF_MAINTAIN_OBJECT
Any guidance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Leeanna Travis

Deepak,
Thank you for the quick response, but It doesn't look like this information helps me. Service hrrcf_cand_reg does have service user RCF_CAND_UNR assigned to it, along with the eight other services that you listed.
A user for the candiate does exist, as it was created when they registered on our E-Recruiting site. The external candidates user ID is a dialog user, and is assigned the authorization given to the reference user RCF_CAND_EXT.
Basically, I was not getting this error message in the SLG1 log until I removed the "Cover Letter" element from the Application Wizard Container Sequence. This was done after we went live, and some candidates actually entered information ito the "Cover Letter" tab within the Application Wizard. I can still see that information now, which I would like to, for the people who actually entered something. I just want to know how to stop the error messages when I view the application (not the Candidate information).
Thank you,
Leeanna

2) In reality I'll have another column defined in same table which will have same value as columnFormula (from xml file). I would need to extract caption from the XMLType and store in another column.OK, let's see if I understand correctly.
You want to extract the caption text from the column where the columnFormula contains the value in COL1?
If I'm correct, it's this one :
<sawx:expr xsi:type="sawx:sqlExpression">" Site Life Cycle Metrics"."# of Sites Activated with FPS by Deviation"</sawx:expr>Assuming there's a unique match, you can do :
SQL> SELECT XMLCast(
2 XMLQuery(
3 'declare default element namespace "com.siebel.analytics.web/report/v1.1"; (: :)
4 declare namespace x = "com.siebel.analytics.web/expression/v1.1"; (: :)
5 /report/criteria/columns/column[ora:contains(columnFormula/x:expr,$val)>0]/columnHeading/caption/text'
6 passing t.xml
7 , t.col1 as "val"
8 returning content
9 )
10 as varchar2(100)
11 ) as caption_text
12 FROM temp_xml t
13  ;
CAPTION_TEXT
# of Recruiting Sites (FPS)
If you want to update the same table, say COL2, you can do it directly like this :
UPDATE temp_xml t
SET t.col2 =
XMLCast(
XMLQuery(
'declare default element namespace "com.siebel.analytics.web/report/v1.1"; (: :)
declare namespace x = "com.siebel.analytics.web/expression/v1.1"; (: :)
/report/criteria/columns/column[ora:contains(columnFormula/x:expr,$val)>0]/columnHeading/caption/text'
passing t.xml
, t.col1 as "val"
returning content
as varchar2(100)

• Posting certain vacancies to certain websites

Hi
Could anyone guide me in terms of posting certain vacancies to be advertized on certain websites. How do you set up the different websites into that you're posting to so that not all vacancies to be advertized appear on all the websites?
Thanks

Each job posting site like Dice.com, Monster defined procedure to upload the jobs in batch mode. For posting specific jobs, in the iRecruitment--> Define vacancy page you can choose a recruiting site for a vacancy. So at that time of preparing batch for a recruiting site, you can filter the vacancies based on this recruiting site and post the batch.

• How to automate Drop Down menu in OpenScript

Hello Team,
Can someone help me in automating a drop down menu? The following is what I'm trying to achieve
For iteration 1 the first value from the drop down menu should be selected, continue rest of the task as per the initial record
for iteration 2 the second value from the drop down menu should be selected.. and so on till all the values in the drop down are selected.
I guess we should use for loop? I tried most of the option as per the user guide but unfortunately I wasn't able to crack it :( can some one tell me what to do from the Tree view of the openscript? Alex (guru) can you please throw some light on this :)
N.B: I was able to make a field data driven!
Thanks

Hello,
Thanks for your reply, please find the drop down box record script. From the below you can see first I selected Accounting from the drop down & then later i selected Administration..similarly if i want to select all the values from the drop down what do i need to do? Do i add a for loop? if yes where do i add them from the Tree view & how. I somehow can't understand the user guide. Or maybe Im not thinking right! Kindly help. I have figured out how to run data driven test from an input file, however in this case I can't possibly add all the values from the drop down in an input file also that approach isn't healthy!

• IRecruitment - Post Advert functionality

Hi,
I am trying to achieve “Job Posting to email” functionality:
I have performed following steps:
*1)* I have created Recruiting Sites using my login as:
- Enter the recruiting site name that identifies the third-party recruiting site where
your enterprise posts the job details.
Site name : XYZ_ORG
- To send job postings through e-mail, enter the receiver's address as the Posting
URL.
Job Posting URL: mailto:[email protected]
*2)* I have created the vacancy “TestJobPosting”
I have specified recruiting site as “XYZ_ORG” (created in step 1 above) and after that I have submitted the vacancy successfully.
*3)* Using manager login, I have approved the vacancy.
*4)* I have used my login to search the vacancy and post the vacancy using "post advert" button.
My Problem:
I am not able to receive email regarding Job posting on my mail id.
Any pointers on this!!
Thanks!!

• New LabVIEW jobs website

There is a new website designed specifically for finding LabVIEW programmers. It is located at www.labviewjobs.com

My favorite sharon hutchins quotes:
>
I have heard that there is a new recruitment site just for labVIEW programmers. It might be worth trying it
> It seems very easy to use and is focused on jobs
that have a specific LabVIEW requiremrent. It is also a

need.
Why do you misrepresent yourself as a
user, when you are obviously advertising? This is blatant
misrepresentation. It is apparent to me, by your practices, that your organization is the
type that does not try to do something good in order to be successful, but rather tries to leach from others and suck as much value from them as possible.
> LabVIEW is a great programming language, and this
site has been developed to let engineers take advantage of their
programming skill in finding a suitable position.
I see from your website that labVIEWjobs.com is a Software Jobs Match Company. I doubt that you are focused on LabVIEW.
> It is the first site to try and offer the LabVIEW community an easy way of finding the right job for them.
There you go again, spouting false information. There was the VI Markets website (which no longer exests). There was iLabVIEW.com (which no longer exists). And there is the LAVA Jobs forum -- don't even bother spamming there. And, I assume you noticed that there are the LabVIEW jobs forums, here, on NI.com.

• Irecruitment: Automatic Tracking

Hi
I need help in understanding the below point in i Recruitment.
I was taking a look at your website and we are able to set up automatic tracking through Oracle so you know exactly how many candidates are truly coming from 3rd party advertising. Right now, tracking is manual-self select through the drop-down menu, this fix would pre-populate 3rd party as your source if the applicant started on our site.
The instructions to set up automatic tracking are below and can be sent to your Oracle Admin:
1. Create a new Recruiting Site for abc.com within iRecruitment under Setup.------what this point means and is this same as setting the agency in system, if yest the concern 3rd party is already there in system.
2. Query table irc_all_recruiting_sites and note the value of recruiting_site_id for abc.com
3. Ensure that ‘Third Party Site’ is an enabled value in the REC_TYPE HR Lookup.
4. Provide value of recruiting_site_id to abc.com to be passed as “&p_site_id=[recruiting_site_id]” in redirect URL.
Is this possible and how can it be done?
Can some one help me to understand all the above point.
Regards
Kalpana

• New Oracle11g jobs hang

Hi,
We have noticed in our production database that when the number of active jobs reaches its limit set by job_queue_processes parameter then new jobs are not started after some previous active jobs finish. For instance, when job_queue_processes = 50 and at a given time all 50 jobs were active and then finished, so new jobs are not created when the number of active jobs becomes for example 40. Anyone seen such behavior? Or is it a known bug?

• Cv upload+photo transfer

Hi apple support, please in the next ios version take into consideration file upload i'm applying for jobs right now and most recruitment sites have upload button which is useless with the ipad(i can't upload my cv ) and it is so inconvenient.
Moreover can you please allow apple users to transfer photos between i devices.people would like to share photos especially after a trip with friends.last time for example i took photos with my iphone which i wanted to send to my aunty who has an ipad via bluetooth. I couldn't do so i was disappointed.
I know you have strict policy regarding piracy and file sharing but this is, somehow, making other useful features unavailable.

You should see something like this on your iPad screen

• What URL for E-recruiting page to use from external job posting web site

Hello,
What is the standard SAP entrance back to E-recruiting from an external job posting site? We have sent our job postings to an external web site vender (Monster) to be posted for candidates to review. On the review page at Monster is the Apply Now button for a particular job. When the candidate clicks the Apply Now button, we would like the job detail to show within E-recruiting for the reference code of the job posted. Otherwise, the candidate has to repeat the job search within E-recruiting to get to the referenced details. Currently, we have a custom enhancement to populate the reference code (parsing it from the URL) to the Job Search page so at least the candidate can click one more time on the search button and the details display. Is there a standard page or better way to get to the job details in E-recruiting without custom enhancements coming from the external job posting web site?
Using BSP and non-XI platform
ECC 5.0 E-recruiting version
Please advise,
Cindy

Hello Cindy,
this is not very difficult and completly possible within the standard application functions. As you show all position data already in the page of the job board (like Monster) you use a link which dirctly referes the applicant to the page where he enters name and mail-address to apply for the job (if he like to see the postion instance again this page do includes a link to the data overview).
The link you use is the same link used in the "request for application" correspondence with which you can request a candidate youidentified in your talent pool to apply for a position.
The link should be available directly if you use the XI integration scenario but can be created very easily. Only 2 things to know:
- do you use the standard posting channel ID 0002 for external postings or have you confiqured a custom posting channel for posting at monster
- how do you get the job information to the monster guys. As you wrote you do not use the XI integration, so have you created a customer own publisher to dump all information to a share where monster is reading it automatically or do you maintain the publications by hand?
If you could give me this information i'll post the easiest way to get the link.
Best Regards
Roman Weise
