Hi,
Since I have installed PC Suite last year, the same old bug re-appears each time a new release is made available. The scenario is invariable
1. I launch PC Suite and it tells me there's a new version available.
2. I acknowledge and accept the download.
3. PC Suite downloads the new installer and stops at 99%.
4. Then it tells me that it couldn't download the file (although it actually did), stops the process and deletes the downloaded installer (I can see it in my TEMP folder).
5. If I close PC Suite, download the file directly (I have written down the URL) and launch the installer, there's no problem. The new version installs correctly.
This bug has been reported multiple times but nobody seems to move an eyebrow.
I'm using XP Pro SP3. The problem occurs with all versions of PC Suite that I have used. My phone is an E71.

I think I'd try to manually download the *.ipsw file specific for your device and install from that. If you aren't sure what to do you can do a Google Search on installing iOS from an IPSW manually.

Adobe updater mac version fails when opening Master Suite CS3 products after reinstall from drive crash

When I open a CS3 Adobe Product I get a screen that says "Adobe Updater Failed". I reinstalled the suite after a hard disk failure and re-registered the product. I'm sure that there are many updates since this suite came out many years ago, and I want to update to the latest versions.

I have since downloaded a new version of Adobe Updater 5, but now when i launch, the the error screen: "Check your internet connections, Updater cannot connect to the web [paraphrased]", shows up. Of course the internet connection is there for safari, firefox and chrome.

PE 9 always fails when installing shared technologies.

I even paid for it (I know theres no diffrence) but I always get the same error (Adobe Premiere elements failed to install shared technologies. Rolling back changes). I have windows 7 x64 And after 3 HOURS of waiting of the phone for a rep, I decided not to contact them for any info. PE 7 installed fine, but they don't work on windows 7.

Use task manager to see if you have any other Adobe software running in the background - Adobe Bridge is often the culprit for these installation errors. If you find anything running then use End Process.

Server always fails when attempting to set up e-mail

Carrier: O2 UK
Model Info: BlackBerry 9320 (3G, Wi-Fi)
OS Version: Version 7.1 Bundle 2301
Battery pull did not solve issue
I attempted to set up e-mail, but my device had a problem connecting to the server.
BlackBerry World is not downloading, so I can't show you any screenshots

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan?

Installing Profiles always fails

We are currently using 2 profiles on our iPad carts adn deploying them with Apple Configurator. The first just contains our wireless information. The second is a profile for Meraki Systems Manager. It looks like the Meraki Profile is the one that always fails.
The only way we can get it to work is to install just the wireless profile. Then go to each iPad and pass through the lock screen, then reconnect all the iPads and install the Meraki Profile. This is a major inconvenience.
To me it looks like it needs the wifi for it to work, but don't understand why or if that is even true.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A little more background.
We have a cart of ipads. They are all setup with apps and profiles. They all have the wifi profile and Meraki profile. When it is time to add more apps, we go ahead and add the apps to our 'Master' ipad. We place the apps in the correct folders. Then we go ahead and backup the 'master' ipad using Apple Configurator. Then we go ahead and restore that backup to all the ipads to install the apps and place them in the correct folders. We keep both the Wifi and Meraki profiles checked for this process. They will always fail when installing the profiles. I understand that it is because the wifi is not connected. Is there a way to get this to connect? It is really a pain to have to unlock all of the ipads before installing the Meraki profile. How long does the wifi profile take to go into effect and connect? Would it work if we just installed the wifi profile with the restore and then waited a few minutes and installed the Meraki profile?

Log In User always fails even when i know that the mysql database is registering the login informati

ok here is my issue. im setting up a login page for my site. i have my other pages restriced to access without the session validated. i register a test user and when i input the info into the correct fields it redirects back on itself and says accessdenied. i know the registration page is updating my mysql tables but it wont let me log in. also right after i create the server side behaviour i get a syntax error on line 2 and exclamation points next to Log In User plus log in user shows up twice in the behaviours panel. below is the form and php script

The $user_name has not been set, thus the login will always fail.

Compiled vi always runs when opened, Labview 2013 bug?

I'm presuming it's not a bug, but right now it looks like that:
I compile a vi to an exe using the application builder, but no matter how I adjust the settings, the vi will always run when opened.
I'm running LabVIEW 2013.

The start up vi will run. This is expected behavior.
If you want the running vi to wait for user input before executing a process you need to code a proper arcetecture to do that. Look into the Producer Consumer (Events) design pattern. It is a good way to start an application like you describe.

Reconnecting to jvm alway fails

My curve 8520 was perfectly fine for almost 2 years now until 3 days ago. It couldnt turn on. It stucked on white loading bar with usually seen when reboot the device. I`ve waited almost 5 hours hoping this loading will end and my bb start working but sadly it didnt.
So i decided to reload os. I used apploader from latest version of DM. At first I thougt it will be fine coz my PIN still detected by the loader. Unfortunately it failed in "reconnect to jvm" phase. I got messages "unable to connect to device.... retry". I`ve tried to do this reload again several times but always failed when trying to reconnect to jvm. Since then, whenever I boot my bb, it always stuck on white screen with "reload software 507" written on it.
I`ve tried bunch of advise i read from here and somewhere else which look simillarly to the problem i have. Here`s what i`ve done so far.
- battery pull (billion times!)
- charge
- remove battery and waited for 15 hours+ then put it back
- used other battery and other charger (got from my friend)
- used other PC (tried on my pc win 7 64bit and my friend`s win xp SP3)
- used other USB cable
- used all USB port available on the pc
None of these worked!.
- Someone suggest that I swip first my bb with BBSAK or Jl_cmder but none of these tools detected my bb.
- I also try to open device manager > USB > Properties >Power managament > then i check off "allow these computer to turn off to save power" (read it somewhere). But still not working.
- When reloading the os, I also tried to plug out the bb from pc when the apploader try to reconnect to jvm and plug in again immediately (also read it somewhere). But in the end I still got the massage "unable to connect.... retry"
Now here I am, asking some advice or maybe a solution about my problem. I live in very small city in Indonesia and there`s no blackberry service centre around here. That`s why i try to figure out this problem myself. This bb is the first thing i ever buy with my first salary so it kinda memorable to me. I dont want to just throw it away (I really hope not). Any advice will be apreciated. thanks in advance

But i made a slight different approach.. for the first and 2nd try i do exactly as it said on KBS27956
but it failed with the same problem as before..
the 3rd time I tried, I didnt put the batterai at all until the updating process start wait for initialization of device phase (I read about it somewhere). I plug in the batterai immediately when initializing start.. the loading process then continue to read application configuration phase. It is like "skipping" the reconnect to jvm phase (I`m not sure what happen exactly, it happen quite fast, i didnt take a good look)
anyway it worked, the os is installed very well..

I tried to download xcode 4, but it always failed when got about 300 mb. The downloading stopped and displaying a message "Mounting failed". My machine has more than 400 gb available space. Anybody knows why?

sometimes when you download things off the internet
the data becomes corrupt and you have to redownload it
best way is to wait a bit for when your isp cleared their cache so you
don't download the same corrupt file again from their cache
but general xcode questions would have a higher successrate of correct answers if asked in the

Push settings always fail now with Profile Manager

So for the last months no matter what we do push settings always fails when enrolling a new device into the MDM. All ports are open on both networks (MDM and iPad), and we can normally enroll and push apps fine, but settings never go through.
What's the next step here? Is this a known issue?
In addition to that we often have problems enrolling devices, and they get stuck and stay "in progress" forever. The iPads can access the web interface to the MDM server just fine. Enrolling these devices through Apple Configurator.

Make sure the ports MDM requires are open to the outside
where there any changes made to profiles round or network about the time this started happening
have a look in the server logs, it might indicate what's wrong

Guess what? It was a font conflict all along. I removed a folder of free fonts I downloaded days earlier. Problem solved. No need to wipe out the system and reinstall!

Assuming the phone isn't jailbroken, the basic steps (as needed) are:
Restart phone (you already did this)
Reset phone
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup

If your phone is jailbroken, this is the most frequent cause of the problems you described. Restoring could permanently brick the phone.
Note that your iOS is old and the current version is 4.2.8. It's odd that it wasn't updated when your activated your phone in iTunes, being that you got it last Friday.

Update failed when adding email

Hi please can someone help me. I have a curve 9320 and had my work emails and hot mail on my phone. My work emails stopped coming through and after attempting to fix the issue, I deleted my work emails from my phone. When I try to add the work email again it keeps saying update failed. The IT dept said I need to change the mail server settings. Does anyone know how to do this or even if this is what the issue is? Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Is your work email account a BES/Enterprise account? Were you able to, with that, synchronize wirelessly calendar, contacts, tasks, and memos? If so, then your IT folks must resolve this BES activation issue.
If you only had email, then it likely was not BES, and instead acted just like any other "personal/internet" email account. But, I cannot quite tell what you are doing and what your IT department is recommending.
If you are using the on-device email wizard and providing only the email address and password yet it is still failing, then that could be what they are referring to. If the server does not respond with the proper server settings (e.g., port, server address, etc.), then the wizard will indeed fail.
To bypass the wizard and force the ability for you to provide those additional details, you need to provide a correct email address, but an intentionally incorrect password. When the screen repaints, the same fields will be visible, but an additional "tic box" for "I will provide these settings myself" (or something similar) will be added...tic that box and proceed, and you will be presented with a screen on which you can manually enter all of the necessary details.
