Recursion in planning run: product T-B104 location PL1000 to be planned twice

Dear experts,
Please advice regarding the following situation. I execute the Production Planning Run. After this, I check the log and I get the following error : "Recursion in planning run: product T-B104 location PL1000 to be planned twice". Based on previous posts regarding similar situations, I run the trx. /SAPAPO/SNPLLC to identify the existing cycles resulting in the recursion of the planning run. After this, in the log I have the following error: "no supply sources were found for the model 000".
Does anybody have a clue regarding the cause of this ?

This should be probably master data - please check if you have all the master data in APO. ( for eg PDS)

Requirement of a Report to calculate Contribution Margin (Plan) - For Calculating Contribution Margin.
2 Key figures need to be arrived (per unit/cv of product, locationwise) are Net Sales Realisation (NSR) and Total Variable Cost (TVC).
a) To arrive at NSR (Plan), all the combinations of upcoming discounts and Free Goods schemes which are going to be in force for the coming month for a product, need to be adjusted in the Net Sales Value to get NSR value per unit of Product (SKU / CV), locationwise
The NSR is the result of adjusting Discounts, Excise and Schemes to the List price of a product.
b) TVC is the result of adding Total Material Cost(TMC) + [(LabourPower) conversion cost]Freight.
Calculation of material cost takes into account the LCC (Landed cost chart) price of the materials, which is a future price.
The Total variable Manufacturing Cost (TMC+Conversion cost) can be calculated using Costing Run (CK40N), using LCC price.
In COPA Reporting the values like List price, Discounts, Excise, Free Goods Schemes and freight flows from Billing Documents (SD) because of condition types mapping in to value fields in COPA, which are components for calculating NSR (Actual), based on the Actual sales.
We want to understand how do the Plan values (List price, Discounts, Excise, Free Goods Schemes and freight) per unit of Product, location wise, flow to the Value fields in COPA Planning, so that the Contribution Margin (Plan) can be calculated for each product per unit , location wise.
Contribution Margin = NSR u2013 Total Variable Cost.

Then you hit a bug in your version of Oracle. You may want to investigate and update to a newer version. I get the following error when trying to register your schema in 10.2.0.1
ORA-31154: invalid XML document
ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
LSX-00246: invalid QNAME "***_voting_flag"
This error is consistent with Spy 2008 as well (I didn't try Xerces but I've got two that agree so it's good for me).

Production in another location

Hi,
When i CIF the PPM for some material it is creating with Production in another location but for some material it is not creating. I checked the special procurement it is maintained correctly in the planning plant. Everything looks find but still PPM is not creating with production in another location.
Please let me know in case anybody come across this issue.

Pl. check if material and/or source plant is maintained in active integration model before CIFing the PPM.

How to Setup a JSP to Run on Different Physical Location than OC4J Defaul

I am trying to setup a development environment for jsp application development in Oracle 9ias Release 2 for a development group. I followed the steps outlined in NOTe:167960.1 using both EM Website (creating a OC4J and editing server.xml and defau*.xml files) and DCMCTL (Doc ID: 185635.1) utility. OC4J app is coming up only partially which does not work.
Is this possible to "Setup a JSP to Run on Different Physical Location than OC4J Default Home" in Oracle 9ias Release 2 ?

I was finally able to get it up and running... I commented out all the apple specific lines in smb.conf until I was able to successfully finish the driver copy process via the Windows driver wizard. The line in the /etc/smb.conf which was causing this weird problem was:
vfs objects = notify_kqueue,darwinacl,darwin_streams
I have no idea what this line is about. However after commenting it out the driver installation immediately started to work. I cross checked it by adding the line again and viola the problem was back - so it can be broken down to this line...
As I've found some other comments to this line in the internet I guess I will go for the smb.conf changes described in this article:

It's actually more complicated than that. The class could be in a jar file... would you want the directory the jar file is in? Well, I'll let you deal with those issues. You can get a URL to your class like this, I think:URL me = this.getClass().getResource("/" + this.getClass().getName());

I have need programming in Oracle 9.x and using Forms and Reports for about 1.5 years. My ERP application calls a report from a form. I DO NOT have source code for the FORM. But, I DO have source code for the Report. So, from the Report 6i, I would like to call an Oracle Form 6i. Note: Not WEB based. My question is, IS THIS POSSIBLE. I can not find a command like Run Product in Report for calling a Form Application. Can someone please help me. I am under the gun to have this ready in a couple of days. Can I call an Active X Application from Reports..if Oracle Forms DOES NOT WORK. This needs to be a Form Application because of the nature of this request.

...the ERP vendor based on a form icon button will call a report. They will pass a TAG_NUMBER from a database record (that they just inserted) to the report. This tag_number will link to other tables and will display the report. The problem is ??..there is additional information that the user needs to scan into the database BEFORE the report runs. This is part of the business work flow.
I have options.
1) Get the ERP Vendor to call a FORM based on the name I provide to them.(Not really an option since they are unwilling to make custom mod changes.)
2) Have the user key into the REPORTS PARM FORM. And I will update the tables...
3) Call an Active OCX popup FORM from Reports and then update tables. Is this possible from Reports???..I am not sure if I like to introduce ms vb into an oracle application. It just does not seem to be a correct solution/procedure.
4) Pay the ERP Vendor as a custom mod to make the changes for us. (unlikely because they do not like making custom mod changes)
5) ....any more ideas/comments please let me know..

Two financial statements at product wise and location wise below comp code

company code have number of products and they are being sold in various locations. here management wants to get financial statement both product wise and location wise below company code. the problem is that their is no field to post for BA, profit center and segment in MIGO posting and Billing document in standard SAP
please inform me is it possible to get financial statement both product wise and location wise below company code. if it is possible please provide answer.

Financial Statements can only be drawn at Company Code, Business Area, Profit Center, and Segment levels only.
If you want to have product wise, then the same must have mapped / designed against the one otherthan companyt code.

KO8G for running production order settlement

Dear All,
I need to use the KO8G, for running production order settlement, on a batch job.
I found a SAP Note Number 498387 where is said that, for the selection of statuses of orders of the order category 10 or greater, will be used a status selection profile.
Iu2019m using the status selection profile SAPPI07 on KO8G selection variant for orders.
When I execute KO8G report, system gives me these messages:
- Sender 0 selectu2026
- Msg number KD233 : No settlement for this sender
Someone have Idea how I can solve this problem.

Like I was written in my first message the Standard variant SAP&01, which contains values of Order type, Status of order...Created,Closed, Tech Complete, Released doesn´t work for production orders, like is said on SAP Note Number 498387.
So I need use the status selection profile on variant selection.
My problem is that, I've defined a Variant selection with status selection profile SAPPI07,wich has the status Created,Closed, Tech Complete, Released, but When I execute KO8G report, system gives me these messages:

How to find running product

In oracle, is there a way we can find running product ?

Copy Product to multiple locations

Is it possible to copy one product to many locations after the first product/location master data is created? If so, how?

Do you need to set up the product specifically in APO without using R/3 (sorry I should call it ECC these days !!). Otherwise set up the Material Master in R/3 then using the mass copy functions to copy it across all plants/storage locations, then your standard CIF functionality should create it automatically in all product-location combinations.

MRP run without one storage location

Dear All,
My client's requirement is they need to run MRP on plant level without considering one storage location stock
e.g if a material is having stock of 10 in unrestricted with storage location 1104. Now when mrp is run for 100 quantity planned order is created for 90 only planning strategy is 40....they want the MRP should not consider the stock in storage location 1104.....how this can be made possibe?

I think your question is answered by Sarita Doddi.
If you have several storage location for your plant, you cannot plan for them separately unless you assign them to a separate MRP area.
If a storage location (alone) is assigned to an MRP area, it means you wan to plan for it separately. If several storage locations are assigned to an MRP area (or let's say to a plant), it means you want to plan using all of them - and you cannot choose only one and plan for it (you can exclude a SLoc from planning w/o assigning it to MRP area).
So, planning is not SLoc wise, it goes MRP area wise.

How do I get a smooth running product?

A few weeks ago I got a very friendly/positive email from your company that told me because I was a loyal customer they offered me an upgrade to Xcelsius 2008/Crystal Reports Visual Advantage. Because I was very positive about my past experiences and I was enthusiastic that such a good firm as SAP was now behind it I choose to accept the offer. I had a lot of plans introducing the new tools to customers (something I had planned to do for sometime and now I was motivated to pick it up). That has cooled down.
I bought and downloaded the programs. Then I installed them. When I used Xcelsius I noticed that the diagram had wrong abbreviations along the axis (the K for thousand, M for million etc . was not right). I thought ok lets update the program. I found out that there was no update button and no simple procedure. I found links to websites that kept asking for passports. I registered 4 times on different sites and then I could download updates. I did not know which one I needed because I did not know which release I had. SP1? Fix 1? ??? I thought lets take them all. After downloading SP1 and starting install the SP1 removed my current installation and I had to restart installing SP1 and thereafter I also installed the 3 fixpackages on my PC.
I ran Xcelsius. The diagram did not have the problem anymore. But I found a problem with %. Do not know if that was there before the updating because I had stopped experimenting quickly after the start. When I had a % in the properties panel the values looked strange on the canvas: 001%, 0,05% in spreadsheet gave 0.001% on the canvas (value). The separation was not right and the figure looked strange. Maybe there is an issue with countries? I looked at the download site (https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1ubCZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm ) and saw that the language of the updates I installed was English. I had first installed Dutch when I bought it.
The biggest complaint is that I have to find everything out for myself. The support is not transparent and easy to use/find. Links to sites that are in the manual donu2019t work or are to old sites. I see old samples and videos. Dutch sites seem to be not used anymore. If I call someone here I get an answering machine and no one returns the call. When I wanted to buy the upgrade I had the same experience with the resellers. Nobody knew anything and they did not return calls. This is in contrast with the goal of the programs: easy to use and understand. This instead is hard to use and find out for yourself. I donu2019t even know what release I have. Maybe it is my fault?
I have the programs a couple of weeks but have not been able to work with them and get them running smoothly and without bugs. I spend 4 days now reading the manual and trying to get a correctly working version. I do not even know if I have undertaken the right update procedure. For Chrystal Reports I have not undertaken the updates because I was afraid to run in new problems.
I use Excel 2007 and Windows XP.
