Red-5 how to show live users connected

Hi,
I am working on an Flex application with red-5. It is based live broadcast, the flow is:
1. user connects to red5 and starts broadcasting
2. viewers also connect to same location on red5 and receive live broadcast.
I have to show how many people are attending the live broadcast. I am using remoteSharedObject thanks in advance for any help.

The GUI design/function of Lync is so flawed I prefer not to argue the point.
But to the previous comments, why would Microsoft NOT have an option to a 'compact view'; to see more contacts at a time -- is it because it doesn't fit in with your 'touch' interface? And just how many corporations/companies are using a touch interface
with all their workstations? Why remove features from an application in a so-called upgrade? Is it so hard to understand that desktop real estate is valuable and that's why most companies have two monitors for workstations? Pretty isn't productive, and sometimes
productive can't be pretty...
I recently had to update from Microsoft Communcator for work and at this point, I think I could've vomited a better GUI than Microsoft has 'planned out'.
It's hard not to be sarcastic on this one, but good job on the roll out and execution of Lync Microsoft; good job. Way to look out for the users...
Next time I need a 'train wreck' execution of an upgrade, I will keep you guys in mind.
You'd been a heck of a lot better just replacing Lync with Skype...
Isn't that why you buy ccompanies like Skype for $8bn dollars?

Id like to be able to show the users connected to my IPSec L2TP vpn (openswan and xl2tpd) - Ive been searching and searching but finding nothing.
If possible I'd like to be able to show username - remote ip of user, local vpn ip assigned, time connected and data transferred. Im not interested in monitoring what they are doing, just the basics.
Can anybody point me in the right direction please? Id like to be able to put this into a php web manager I'll build at a later date so I have a visual of whats going on.

Ive found this command " netstat -i | grep "ppp" | wc -l " However all this does is simply show the number or connected users as a simple numerical digit.

I would share an excel in my SharePoint 2013 (Entreprise) . This excel file contains a worksheet which contains data retrieved from a cube. So is it possible to filter this report directly in SharePoint ? How can I match my username indicator with the user
connected (ID) ?

The way to set this up is to either use and configure Kerberos or EffectiveUserName within Excel Calculation Services. Both methods will pass the user executing the report to the SSAS instance.

How to show the User Name on the Cart.aspx page when a user is connected.

Hi,
I am trying to find how I can get the User Name and display it in the top of the Cart.aspx.
For the diplay point of view, this is fine (I have created a <Literal> with a property ID, and specified it in the prerender.)
However, i can not find anywhere how to take the UserID from.
Do you know if there is a way to get this Data?

How to know where users connected to the network?

I check on ISE monitoring to see the authentication status, i found out IP and device port left blank. What should i do in order i can track user is connected from wchich access switchport (all switch were join identity\ network device)
Somemore, how to track the enduser were connecting from which AP?
What i should i do on the ISE in order able to track on this particular info, thanks

RADIUS packets aren't going to show you what AP the client connected from, the RADIUS packets are exchanged between WLC and RADIUS server, if you have a WCS managaing your WLC you will be fine using the reporting, if not you'll need to set up some heavy logging from your WLC and work out a decent way to analyse it.

I use function module WS_QUERY to do exactly this thing. If it sends back RETURN = 'ITS" then it is connected to ESS/MSS. This has worked in our 6.20 and ECC6 systems, though I guess it may not work in exactly the same way in your system. There also might be a more modern method of a class to do the same thing.

PDC showing no users connected

Trying to set up a PDC here, but I've run into a couple of brickwalls.
We've got 1 OD master and one OD rep. We are running a PDC on the master and a BDC on the rep. Both PDC and BDC are configured the same.
No guest access
unlimited clients
authentication NTLMv2 & Kerb/NTLMv1
Registered with WINS server (our primary DNS server)
enabled virtual homes
I am able to join the domain created by my PDC.
I am able to log into the domain, but in the Server Admin Connections view for the PDC, I see no connections. Occassionally, my user will show up upon initial login or logout, but user disappears from the Connections view after about a minute. When the user does show up, the time connected is always 00:00.
I have also found that there are periods of time that the WinXP host I'm testing off of can't see the domain and I can't authenticate in. Sometimes if I wait 5-10 minutes I can get back in, but sometimes I have to restart the PDC. There's nothing particular in the logs that tell me the PDC is down.
Any ideas as to what's up?

A little more strangeness...
I have two users that I have no problems logging into the domain with. All other users get an error that the domain is not available.
I look in /var/log/samba/log.smbd and I can see the two users who login, but what I don't see are any entries for those users who get the domain is not available error.

A question about tracing users' connections

Dear all,
I would like to know, whether there is a report in SAP
providing information about users connection. What we
are looking for in terms of information is:
1) How many times each user connected to the system?
(for example how many times during each day or each week)
2) How long each session lasted?
3) What standard transactions did each user execute during
each connection?
Is there any report providing such information?

SM20 (Information security audit logs ) In USER Statistics and Terminal statistics , you can get enough information .
ST03N
In ST03N (Workload distirbution monitor ) you can find ,what is the workload of individual users and which actions users performed ?
2) How long each session lasted?
In tcode - SM20,you can find detaild activites about users in Users statistics field . Secondly For transcation details ,Please select Transactions statisitcs field .It
will provide you enough information
AL08 Shows you Tcodes using by user time ,external & internalsessions .Also with tcode SM04 You can find list of users .There is USER TAB on top left hand side
You can click on that and select " Techincal Information , you will get informatoin STATE , MODES ,MEMORY COnsumption etc .
3) What standard transactions did each user execute during
each connection?
Pleae use these tcodes :SM20, SM04(users overview) , AL08

Proxy user connection in oracle form10g

Any one could help me out how to use proxy user connection in oracle form10g ?
proxyapp[SCOTT]/proxyapp@orcl which is running fine is database side i like to use this user in oracle forms 10g and would like to know the syntax of connection .

Do you know if there is there anyway to use proxy users without using OAM? It is working fine for us assuming the combined prox_user[real_user] does exceed 30 characters .... Need to expand the forms user id field ...???

User Connection

I have users with limited resource one session per user and they connect using JDBC
driver, but the thing that is how to kill the user connection because if the PC is in Halt the user must reboot but his session is still exists but he cannot login again because he has limited resource, so how can I kill the connection for him to relogin again.

To kill a session in Oracle, issue this command:
alter system kill session '34, 23';
where 34 is the sid and 23 is the serial#.
To find out which session to kill, you will normally do this:
select sid, serial# from v$session where username = 'pakloh';
SID SERIAL#

What Badal Ratra gave you would be the basis for your query to populate your own table...Project Server does not give you a way to do a daily connect report
One of the ways I would go about doing this would be to run a nightly query to update a table - fill it in with the necessary data and run your report off that newly created table
High Level Steps:
(1) Create a table in the Reporting Database call DailyVisits
(1a) The table would have Name/Date/Connected columns
(1b) You wouldn't need a no answer for connected columns since the answer would always be yes, the result set would ONLY have users who connected for each day. And really you would only need 2 columns since the "connected" column would always
be Yes...
(2) Create a query that would query the published database (msp_resources) for the current day and store the result set in the table DailyVisits
(3) Put this query in a nightly task to append to the DailyVisits table @ 11:55pm (for example)
(4) Let the query run and you'll have only the users who connected for that day - the DailyVisits table would represent users who visited every day.
As long as the query runs nightly you'll have the information you're looking for - the one caveat is that it will only be starting from the day you start running the query.
You could also append the older user (last_connect) information from the resources table from other users to populate the dates but that would only represent a single entry/single last connect date. This "old" information would represent the
base for the table.

Live Office Connection not showing Go to Object Option

Hi All,
i m using Xcelsius Enterprise 4.5. I have created a dashboard in which I m having a live office connection. I had added the live office connection from a Webi Report, Binded the Prompt and created a live office connection to the server. The report was working fine.
After a couple of days when I open the report again I find the Go to Object has been disabled in the report and the Modify Object shows only Properties option. The Refresh Object also does not work.
Could you tell me what has gone wrong and how to fix it.

I am still on Xcelsius 2008 but faced similar refresh disabled problems. May be this helps:
These days I maintain a Live Office Excel spreadsheet and import it into Xcelsius after any kind of changes.
You can maintain the data connections part within Xcelsius as required, but treat Live Office Excel report as a separate unit and set up all the refresh properties at report part level before you import it into and start developing the Xcelsius.
This way the refresh never gets affected and it works every time.
