Red B on Hub - Activation Day

Today is my activation day for BT Services. I setup the BT hub this morning and it went through the flashing rigmarole as per user manual before finally turning red.
I have my splitter plugged into my test line and there is a normal dial tone on my phone hand set. I just received an automated phone call saying that my phone line is activated, however the red broadband sign persists.
Just changing over from Sky who stated the service would stop on the 8th, which it did in the early hours. Am I just waiting from something at the BT end?

It can take up to 24 hours for the broadband to become active, longer if it was a phone and broadband provide, as the phone has to be working before the broadband can be commissioned.

    Hi We have Sky TV and have just transferred to sky unlimited broadband and land line today. I've plugged everything in OK and the landline is working.The internet light isn't on but my phone can pick up the hub on the wifi settings.  Does it normally take a while for the broadband to kick in ? Thanks

    Your connection could be down anywhere from 15 minutes to all day there is no set time frame unfortunately on activation day.

    Have you received the router?
    What does it say in the Internet section on the initial Status page of the BrightBox? Omit your BB Username.
    What lights show / don't show on front of router (count them off)?
    Is this for ADSL BB or Fibre? BrightBox 1 or 2?
    Does the phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?

  • Upgraded one iPad to 8.1 about 10 days ago since then have to restart wireless hub each day to use, other iPad on previous os no problem until upgraded yesterday now have the same problem although both devices show wireless connection.

    we have two iPads (ipad2 and an iPad mini). The ipad 2 was upgraded to os 8.1 about 10 days ago, since then I have to restart my wireless hub every day to use the ipad. I have however been able to use the iPad mini running on the previous os without any problem. Last night I upgraded the mini to os 8.1 and this now suffers the same problem. Both iPads display a strong wireless signal to my hub but don't want to seem to connect.  I have had BT check my broadband connection and they found no problem, whatever is causing it has happened since upgrading from 8.0.2 to 8.1

    Do you have an updated version for your AirPort?

    you could try contacting sky and see what the delay on releasing your line is other than that it is back to the help line

    hi everyone,
    I want to ask about an iPhone`s activation day. Activation day will be the day that I buy an iPhone and leave the App Store or it will be the day that I plug the phone into the computer and activate it with iTunes?
    For example :
    I buy an iPhone on : 7/28/2013
    A week later, I unseal the phone and plug it in to activate with iTunes on : 8/4/2013
    So then the day that will be displayed when I check the iPhone`s serial number on this link : https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do will be what day - 7/28/2013 or 8/4/2013 ?

  • Passed activation day and no broadband!

    I have been led to believe that yesterday the broadband I had orderd would be active, its not!  I odered my phone line on the first   of March and it was installed last week (three months later). I have always been a cable customer and I sort of expected shody services from BT but this is shocking! When I orderd cable in my previous address it took 1 day for the equipement to arrive and guess what? it worked as soon as I connected it.... as soon as I can I will be swapping back to cable! In the meantime has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can get my broadband working? I have called BT and they just say the error will be resolved in 24hrs. Heard that one before...took 3 months. Please help if you can!

    Welcome to the community and thanks for posting!
    I'm sorry for the delay connecting your broadband service.  Have you spoken with anyone since you posted this?  If you're still having problems drop a reply back on this thread and I'll give you steps you can take to come through to us here and we'll help get you sorted.

  • Cannot connect a day after activation day

    My activiation day was yesterday 2/2/11and it is now 10am on 3/2/11 and the only thing that is currently on solid blue on the bt home hub is the power and the wireless. I am currently using Virgins internet. how long will it be for this to work?

    Oh and my phone line does not work. I tried reconecting the bb and the line, change filter etc and still nothing

    Yes you should be able to however there will be a short period of down time whilst the connection is transfered.

  • Activation day today and Broadband isnt active :(

    Hello,
    Today (30/03/2011) is our Phone & Broadband activation date.
    The phone is active and we can make outgoing calls and incoming calls- however I am going to phone in and change the number.
    However... Our Broadband connection doesnt work
    The Hub 3's Broadband light is flashing ''Orange & Purple'' unable to connect to the internet.
    Have I waited long enough or should I wait longer???
    Seems odd that the Phone works but the Broadband does not.

  • Red Spikes! Safari, Activity monitor, finder running. Halp.

    This has never happened before. I used to get green spikes when I'd try to open programs that needed more memory than I had available but now I have red spikes every few seconds and only Safari is open (and activity monitor). OK really weird but Safari just disappeared from processes list. ***? I'm getting hanging, not able to boot without startup disk, slow, slow slow. I have 6.5GB available but system acts bogged down. Have verified and found no issues. Was worse with firefox though RAM usage was less.  I don't know what's up as I'm obviously using Safari. Now the spikes have gaps between them. Anyone know what's going on?  2 Screenshots of process lists and those durn red spikes below.
    I just got an external drive so I could backup just in case system hangs for good. Trying to find out what time machine is because i don't have it on my mac and afraid to put anything else on this thing. It says I have 6GB of diskspace left but acts like it's about to blow up.
    Now something even wierder is happening. I turned off the external drive even though it isn't setup to backup or anything like that yet. The green/read line was way at the top with no red in sight and now it's back to red spikes like photo above.
    Anyone know what to do? I want to switch back to firefox because it showed it was using less RAM but performance was worse.

    You need at a minimum 15% free disk space.

  • Activity Monitor - Red Listing

    Hello,
    I was wondering how my MBP was running, so I took a look at the activity monitor. As many of you - I freak out if I see anything in "RED".
    I have one red line on the activity monitor which says: UserEventAgent (not responding). It is taking about 2.21 MB's in real memory.
    WHAT THE HECK IS THAT? How do I get rid of it ASAP?

  • Equivalent of Global Interactive Activity in 11g

    Hello,
    Is there an equivalent of Global Interactive (not Global Creation) activity in OBPM 11g? What I intend to do is to be able to have certain stand alone activities in the workflow bounded independently to different taskflows (there taskflows are associated with the business process but not directly linked to it). E.g. Let's say I have a requirement that the 'Manager' role in the workflow should be able to assign the primary process participants to different Line of Businesses based on day to day needs. All I need is a UI to achieve this. But I am also trying to leverage BPM roles so that only 'Managers' are able to see this link in their workspace / worklist and able to access this UI. We have previously implemented this using 'Global Interactive' in 10g. All we did was to place the activity in a manager swimlane and associate a screenflow to it. Trying to understand what 11g has to offer for this requirements.

    One of the things that helps end-users train themselves on a process is to present a picture of where a work item instance that they are working on is located in the process. This is commonly referred to as the “you are here” map. In Oracle BPM 10g, this is done like this:
    1.     Add a Global Interactive activity to an abstract role (role with a name).
    2.     Name this new Global activity “You are here”.
    3.     Click Runtime in the left pane and check the "Has instance access" (do not check the checkbox labeled “Use activity for instance presentation").
    4.     Click the OK button.
    5.     Right mouse click this new activity and select Main task from the popup.
    6.     Change the Implementation type to "Show Process Image".
    7.     Click OK.
    8.     Save the project and reload the project.
    9.     Start the WorkSpace again. Log out and relogin.
    10.     On the right side of the inbox, for an existing work item instance click the "Select action" dropdown.
    11.     Click the new "You are here" action.
    12.     Note the red flag above the activity where this work item instance is located in the process.
