I have a Photomart 7760 that is now starting up from power on, blinks 10 times "green", and then continuous "red" blinking.  If I remember correct from another post, it said something about printer head.  So...question is what does this blinking sequence mean, and how to I correct it?

  • Lcd blank and red blink one times pause then blinking 4 times

can someone tell me what my problem and can fixed it? my blackbery q10 red blinking one times pause then blink 4 times again and again.. its problem with ic cpu? or ic power? thank

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Red blinking light & phone is unresponsive (8100 Series)

I've had my Pearl for about 18 months and it's always been fairly reliable.
Yesterday it got wet for the first time (I suspect this may be the cause of the problem...).
Right away, I took out the battery and SIM card, dried the phone as best I could, and put the parts in a warm area.
Now all I'm seeing is a series of red blinking lights:
    - blink, blink, blink (3 times, a half second pause, then)
    - blink, blink (and a 2 second pause before it starts again)
I tried using a backup battery, and I tried it with and without the SIM card.
Does anyone know what this sequence of blinks means?
And, more importantly, how can I save my phone??

the three blinks, a pause, and two more.. don't know what the blink meant or why mine started.. I connect to computer via bluetooth and wasn't connected when it began. I came here for answers and very surprised bb doesn't have a tech rep providing help.  & phone charged full the night before..
anyway, followed advice to disconnect from battery and reconnect in certain order while plugged into wall socket.. tried a few times with a few minutes of complete 'no power' each time. the light would sometimes flash when only the wall plug was in with no sim or battery. I gave up and left it connected to the wall socket with sim and battery in and flipped it over so I wouldn't get annoyed seeing the blink. left it for 30 minutes and it still was flashing. stuck it in my pocket went to a friend's house and checked when I got there 10 minutes later. still flashing. threw it half way across the room (carpet floor) and it booted up fine. is on now and I'm not touching it until tomorrow.
not suggesting anyone throw it, could break it, but it worked for me. likely in conjunction with topping up the battery. who knows. they're touchy.

  • Red blinking light as well as trailing broken black line going in a square on left side

red blinking light as well as trailing black broken black line going on left side that goes in a square trail

Did you ever fix this? My daughters is the same. Treated with tender loving care, we reset to factory and it disappeared but was back again after 2 or 3 days. Still in warranty so going to take to the genius bar, however a bit concerned that because it belongs to an 11 year old they are going to assume she's damaged it.

  • Red Blinking Message Light Indicator Back to Green

On the BlackBerry Curve 8330, can anyone tell me please if it is normal once you receive any type of message, and the light on top blinks red, after about 15 minutes it goes back to blinking green even though I never checked my messages? You would think, especially with a BlackBerry that the light would continue to blink red until messages are checked?! Is there anything I can do to remedy this? Any programs out there third party or what not?...any free? Or is my phone defected? Thank you for your time and your input.

Yes the coverage indicator is on, I want it to blink green. Again, I want to know why the red blinking light message indicator goes back to blinking green after 15 minutes and does not continue to blink red until I actually go into the particular message folder? Thanks anyways for your help.

  • RED Blinking LIGHT

I used blackberry software updater to update my phone then it had to restart and it almost did except the it came to 100% and the battery died to it shut down then when I turned it on it would came on but a red blinking light comes on every other second. I don t know what to do somebody please help me

The red blinking light means that you most likely have a corrupt software because your downloading was interupted by a drained battery. You may have to re-install the software with the Blackberry Link by connecting your phone to the computer

  • How can I fix this red blinking SYS LED light?

I am having problems with the extender losing signal and the GPS turns red and the SYS light is slow blinking red.  I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with a Verizon tech who had me unplug it and just pretty much said "Sorry, there nothing we can do"!!!!  This is happening several times a day for the past 2 weeks.

I am having the same problem with a blinking red sys light and red gps light. The system has been working fine for months and without my changing anything at all, it stopped working yesterday. I am using the correct power supply. I have powered off and on the gateway and the extender several times. My zip is 94306 (although Verizon shows my device as nearby Los Altos 94022 where I think the tower might be). I have AT&T Uverse as my ISP with a standard 2wire modem/router gateway 3800HGV-B. • 8120 Pearl Black Screen, Slow Red Blinking LED. Data Recovery?

    Hi,
I've been tearing my hair out for the last four or five hours (a drop in the ocean compared to some people with the similar problem I've read about), but I haven't given up hope of recovered my data - I'll happily condemn the phone if I could get just 5 minutes to copy the memo pad files and voice notes!
    ANYWAY, here's the story:
My 8120 has been working fine.  I checked it, put it back in my pocket.  2 minutes later, I took it out and got the slow flashing red light.  I hadn't dont anything to it...no spilling, no knocking, no random button presses.  Nothing.
So I tried to plug it into the charger - that did nothing.  Same slow red LED flash and black screen.  After 5 minutes I plugged it into my computer, first with the battery, then without.  Exactly the same.  My computer recognises it as plugged in when the light is on, and unplugged when the light is off - I've read this is common.
I download Blackberry Desktop Software.  It kept giving me the message telling me to either hit retry or update every time the light came on.  Retry did nothing, so UPDATE it was.   This is where the interesting thing happens - it scans for software updates - this stops the phone flashing altogether and suggests I proceed with the update.  I would do this, except when it suggests I back-up/encrypt the backup, these options are grayed out.  My data is more important to me than the phone (I know, I'm an **bleep** for not backing up before, but what's not done is not done)
So, it appears if I do the update my phone will be wiped.  Can anyone confirm this? Then I installed the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and clicked on the add/remove apps.   It did the same thing - seemd to recognise the phone and the LED went out.  It told me how much space I had left on the internal memory - 22.2mb. I saw the internal memory is 32mb, so so long as the operating system isn't 10.2mb, it would mean my data is still on there?
SO for now I've decided to plug it into the wall and leave it for a few hours to see what happens.  Can anyone think of anything else I can try? Is there any software or any other way I could rescue my Memopad and Voice Notes files? Sorry if this has been gone over again and again, but I don't know what else to do!
    Many thanks,
    Andy.

Hello andoak and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Usually, the black screen with the red LED blinking indicates there is a problem with the core software and it needs to be reloaded for functionality to resume.
If you are reloading the software and the options are grayed out to back up that usually indicates the data is not able to be backed up.
On a brighter side, if you saved your voice notes to your media card, they should still be there. As for the Memos, if you never backed up or synchronized with a desktop application, they are lost.
If you have email accounts set up, after the software reload completes, resend your service books as shown in KB15402 to resume email.
    Hope this helps.

  • CFP-2110 controller STATUS LED red blinking after powering up

    Hi,
Have any one experienced this before:  once we powered up the control panel to the instrument, the cFP-2110 controller would just start blinking the RED STATUS signal.  I checked the manual on cFP-2110 and it says if the red signal comes off more than 4 times, it is an unrecoverable error.  Any recommendation from the board?
    Thanks a lot.

First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.
    1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • 9800 problem

Im not sure if your the team i need to contact because i found your contact information very confusing if i need to discuss this problem with some other department i would appreciate if you could give me there details.I have a blackberry torch 9800 and this morning it started playing music on its own i have goggled this problem and i see it has been happening to other people as well my main issue with this is the 15 second song it plays on my blackberry is a song called little demon girl which is a little girl saying if you don't come and play with me I am going to kill you which it keeps repeating over and over and the only way to get it to stop is by resetting the phone.  Now when this started happening my children were using the phone and it really scared them they showed it to me and as IM sure you'll agree it is very spooky and extremely offensive it scared me also, I have mental health issues and this has caused me and my children great deal of distress I am very unhappy with this and I now consider the phone unusable even if this problem can be rectified I am too scared to put the battery back in in case it happens again.  I would like to know if there is anything you can do to rectify this problem.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
First to set your expectation -- this site is a user-to-user community of volunteers. It is not part of any formal support from, escalation to, nor communication with RIM. Hence, it is the right "department" -- if you wish help and advice from other users. But if you desire formal support, you seek that from your mobile service provider, you original place of purchase, or an authorized service center -- it varies by region, so I can't tell you which it is for you...but your original documentation should have included instructions as to how you seek formal support.
Here's what I suggest...boot the BB into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, look carefully at everything that is installed:
KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
Remove anything that is not truly necessary for use. I have no idea what item to tell you to look for...the possibilities are rather huge to make guessing of any value. But, again, if you see something as installed and you don't use it, then remove it.
It is highly likely that someone has put something onto your BB that is doing this. You would be wise to implement password protection on it so as to prevent that from happening again. But, to protect your data, you may also want to review this process:

  • Blinking MagSafe Connector Problem

The magsafe connector on my year-old MacBook has suddenly started constantly blinking between green and orange when plugged into the computer. My battery status in the menu bar is also constantly switching between "Charged" and "Calculating." Opening "Energy Saver" in the System Preferences also shows the battery going back and forth between 99% and 100% charged every second or so.
Does anybody know what's going on?
    Mac Pro 2.66 - 4 GB RAM - Radeon X1900XT | MacBook 2.0 - 2 GB RAM   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    e-man,
Here's a thread where I posted my experience with this problem. At first Apple sent me a replacement charger, but when that didn't fix it, they had me send it in for repair and replaced the battery, hard disk, and a couple of other parts. So far everything's holding out well, but I've been operating off the AC more than the battery since getting both replaced.

Hello, My DX 5150 front panel led is blinking red/ beeping 5 times. It will not start up (the monitor has no signal). I tried reseating the memory cards in their slots with no change... I am clueless as to what I should try next.<br><br>Thanks,<br>CJ Yates<br><br>

    Hi:
It is a memory (primary cause) or motherboard failure.
Try running the PC with only one memory chip at a time.
There is a good chance one of the chips is bad.
If the beeping stops when you run with 1 module installed, keep testing each one until you get the beeps again.
Then you have isolated the bad memory module.
If the PC continues to beep no matter what you do with the memory, the troubleshooting guide then suggests the motherboard is bad.
