Red Blinking Message Light Indicator Back to Green
On the BlackBerry Curve 8330, can anyone tell me please if it is normal once you receive any type of message, and the light on top blinks red, after about 15 minutes it goes back to blinking green even though I never checked my messages? You would think, especially with a BlackBerry that the light would continue to blink red until messages are checked?! Is there anything I can do to remedy this? Any programs out there third party or what not?...any free? Or is my phone defected? Thank you for your time and your input.
Yes the coverage indicator is on, I want it to blink green. Again, I want to know why the red blinking light message indicator goes back to blinking green after 15 minutes and does not continue to blink red until I actually go into the particular message folder? Thanks anyways for your help.

I've asked T-Mobile this question and they are clueless. If I get messages to my BB while I'm asleep at night, the message light reverts back to green...it does not stay red until I have retrieved the messages from the phone. I thought the idea of having it change colors was so one could visually look at the phone and know if they have a message or not. As it is now, I have to actually check the phone physically, to see whether or not I have any messages because the light eventually reverts back to green. I'm not sure how long it takes for this to happen as I'm asleep but I would venture to say maybe a few hours at the most before it changes back to green (I have my network light on always as I like the flashing green).
Any suggestions or is the phone suppose to operate like this? If so, it kinda defeats the purpose of having a message light.
Thanks.I have had four different models and they have all done this, I don't believe it is something we can change. Or atleast I haven't found it yet.

Self install Uverse Internet red blinking broadband light
I've been trying to setup my new Uverse internet service since my activation date (7/21 after 2pm) and the broadband light will not go solid green. I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps I could find and still nothing.

I am sorry about the issues you are having installing your service, but I will be glad to help. Try testing on the other phone jacks in your house. It can take a few minutes for it to sync up, but it should take less than 1 minute for it to start blinking green. I will also send you a private message to look into this issue further.

A blinking amber light doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong.
Yesterday I set up a new AEBSn in bridge mode so that an attached hard disk could be shared by two Mac computers connecting to the AEBSn wirelessly pending inauguration of a new DSL connection.
Although the configuration worked perfectly, the amber light continually blinked because the AEBSn sensed that an Ethernet cable was unplugged even though the configuration did not call for any Ethernet connections.
Interestingly, the blinking amber light turned to solid green as soon as I added two network printers via Ethernet cables.Just wanted to make sure you know that if the amber light is blinking, you can run the new Airport Utility and when the wireless devices appear on the left hand side of the page, anyone that is flasking amber will show up with a flashing amber light. If you double click on that device a new window will come up. On the summary page you'll see a line that says name of device and it will have a status light next to it that is the same as the status light on the equipment. In this case a flashing amber light. If you double click on the flashing symbol it will give you the reason for the flashing amber light.
In most cases at this point, the flashing amber light is usually because there was no security applied to the system.
If you opt, you can also turn off the amber light if you can live with the problem. -

Yes, but based on what you are telling us, I doubt that the device will restart after you try this. You have tested with other AC wall jacks, correct?
I just purchased the unit in April this year, it would be very soon to have to replace it, especially since I don't think I kept the receipt...
Most stores keep a record of purchases. Otherwise, Apple support can look at the serial number and know approximately when the device was sold. You should have no problem getting a replacement, I would imagine. -

Unplug it from power, wait 10-15 seconds and plug it back in.
If it does not power up properly at that point, restore it via iTunes on the computer. -

Did you ever fix this? My daughters is the same. Treated with tender loving care, we reset to factory and it disappeared but was back again after 2 or 3 days. Still in warranty so going to take to the genius bar, however a bit concerned that because it belongs to an 11 year old they are going to assume she's damaged it.

Switched from DSL to cable modem. My Airport light won't turn green. Keeps blinking orange. No wireless now and can't connect to more than one computer! ?????
Hmmmm.
If you reset the AirPort Extreme by holding in the reset button for 9-10 seconds and then releasing, the AirPort should be back in default settings which would allow mutliple computers to connect to the LAN ports on the AirPort.
Power off the cable modem for now and leave it off at least 15 minutes.
With the AirPort Extreme still powered on, hold in the rest button on the back for 9-10 seconds and release. Allow a full minute for the AirPort Extreme to restart to a slow, blinking abmer light.
Then, power off the AirPort Extreme.
Check to make sure that the Ethernet cable from the modem is connected to the WAN "O" port on the AirPort Extreme.
After the modem has been powered off for at least 15 minutes, power it up and let it run for 5 minutes by itself.
Now, power up the AirPort Exteme and let it run for 2-3 minutes
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Connect an Ethernet cable from your Mac to one of the LAN <-> ports on the AirPort Express
Click on the AirPort Exteme, then click Continue to follow the guided setup tp configure the AirPort Extreme. You can use the same wireless network name, password, etc that you used before, or set up a new name and password, etc. -
Since I downloaded Adobe Reader 11.0.07 I have been totally unable to print any PDF files using my Dell 1720 laser printer - I just get a blinking "error" light on the printer, no other error messages . I never had a problem printing PDF files before downloading the new Reader version. Suggestions? Thank you.

Red Blinking Lights on Photosmart 7760
I have a Photomart 7760 that is now starting up from power on, blinks 10 times "green", and then continuous "red" blinking. If I remember correct from another post, it said something about printer head. So...question is what does this blinking sequence mean, and how to I correct it?

You have two options and you probably won't like any of them.
Using the Airport Utility, click on the AE then "Base Station", then "Options". That will bring up two options for you AE green light, either keep it green at all times or only light up when it is being used.
The second option is put some tape over it.

As of yesterday (4th Dec 2012) everything was fine, no trouble or problems at all. Wake up this morning, turn on the computer and when it came time to backup itself, the message occurred above and this has prevented my time machine from backing up from this morning (5th Dec 2012) ever since then.
Everything on my computer is up-to-date but this problem still persists displaying this message practically every hour, on the hour and nothing is getting backedup!
If you know what is going on and more importantly, how to fix this, I would be indebted to you for sharing your knowledge with me on this subject.

I have Airport Extreme as the base unit and an Express unit in a room separated by a brick wall to improve signal. Express shows a green light indicating signal but my iPad does not perform well. How can I improve other than hardwire ethernet connection?

For example, you might find that the brick wall is not the only problem. There may be other devices pumping out enough wireless interference to be making things even worse.
I agree with Bob Timmons that Ethernet is best and most reliable. And that powerline (which I use) is easier and potentially faster than wireless...but only if your power lines do not have electrical devices plugged in which produce electrical noise on the line. Powerline will be slower than Gigabit Ethernet.
Ethernet cable is the only way to ensure that the signal goes directly there in a shielded way for a clear fast signal. Wireless and powerline are much slower because of all the other things the signal has to fight past to get to the other device.
