Red blue yellow lines in safari under Google search links

when I look up something on Google under each link I see red yellow blue colors in safari it's really annoying how do I turn it off

It's hard to tell without a screenshot, but this may be font substitution by a bad font. If you have added fonts to your system with a CYR or SLAV in their name, try removing them.

  • Lenovo G550 laptop - red, blue, yellow specks and lines on screen

    Hello,
I have a 2 year old Lenovo G550 laptop, system model 20023 ( Dual-Core CPU T4300 2,10Ghz, 3,00GB RAM) running 32-bit Win 7 Home Premium OS with graphic card Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
Month ago, I started getting 2 vertical lines on my screen, which change colors and tend to disappear when I tilt it. Recently, problem graduated to red, blue, yellow specks all over the screen. Tilting no longer works, but I noticed a definite relationship with the degree of pressure on the case. When I push hard enough on the left spot below the case (where hard disk is located), the problem resolves completely. I also tried plugging another monitor in and there seems to be no problem either. Please, help.
    Solved!

Graphic card issue sounded highly unlikely with the external monitor image appearing to be normal. I tried reseating the lcd cable and it fixed the problem.

  • Safari's Google-search bar in Dutch ***?!?!

I have a Macbook pro, Lion all up tp date, and recently I discovered that when I use Safari's google search bar it uses the Dutch google (i.e. goole.nl). I haven't changed any settings.
I am in China atm, but have a UK VPN and even when I've just been connected to the Chinese server in the past, I haven't ha any problems.
I did a software update earlier (it was regarding security) and I think it somehow changed a setting. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Ok I think I figured it out myself... no need to answer

  • I just installed ios8 on my ipad3 and now I can't exit out of the last search using Safari and Google search

I Installed ios8 then iOS 8.02 on iPad 3. Now when I use Safari and Google search I can't exit out of the last site visited. It seems that all the sites are saved. Help. When I go to use Safari the next time the last site visited is always there. I want to be able exit those sites every time exit from Safari

Safari works a little differently in that respect on iOS 8 on the iPad than it did before. To exit the last site used, tap the icon that looks like 2 overlapping pages at the top right of the screen and then tap the x at the top left of the smaller display that appears.

  • I just to open every Google searched link in ( new tab ) in same webpage , when i click the link

    hello sir/mam
i just to open every Google searched link in ( new tab ) in same webpage , when i click the link
    what to do
    please replay
    thank you

I am not sure what you want. Do you want to open links in a new
tab / window, or the same window you are in?
Type '''about:preferences#general'''<Enter> in the address bar.
    Check the settings under''' Tabs'''

  • Google Search Link Redirect

I might be paranoid, but i just did a google search for a website and was redirected to another site after clicking on the google search link.
I tried going directly to the website by typing the name in the browser and it worked fine. A did a google search again for the same wesbsite, clicked on the link like before, and it worked fine like normal. Other google searches seem to be fine.
Do I have something to worry about as far as malware or viruses on my computer, or is it possible google, or the website I was trying to go to, is infected? Or, is it nothing?
I would really appreciate any feedback.
    Thanks.

I would not be to worried about it, perhaps a glitch in the search engine. You could reset Safari if that is the browser you use, just read the list of items it resets and make sure you are happy to remove that information.

  • Dead Google Search Links in Safari

After making a Google search, I hit the 'back' button, only to find all of the links on the page frozen. This happens ALL the time in my Safari Google searches. Is anybody experiencing a similar issue?
    For example:
    1) I search "Martin Luther King" in Google (typing into the Google search box in the Safari toolbar).
    2) Google shows the search results.
    3) I click on an item to read it.
    4) After reading the article, I hit the 'back' button to return to my search.
    5) None of the search results are clickable. They're all dead. Not a single link on the page works. (Control-click does nothing, either)
This happens on a daily basis, with nearly all of my Google searches.
I have done many re-sets of Safari caches, etc. This incredibly frustrating problem continues.

From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

  • Safari and google search

    Hi Guys
I have strange problem with searching google with Safari.
Try to search any thing you want, I will call it "Search string 1" and feel free to click on any link then go back to the your google search page either by pressing back button or the gesture. Now try to do the same thing with another search criteria which I call it "Search String 2".
    NOW here is the problem:
When you click on any result for "Search string 2" and go back to your google search page, you will see the  "Search string 1" in the google search textbox BUT the results are for "Search string 2".
    Very wired.
    any idea??
    Thank you

That's nice my post helps resolving your problem.
How is... actually I don't know exactly.
But we (I mean Japanese) always have got problem with functions which automatically do something during typing.
We always need change word from how I type to how I want by IME(Input Method Editor) because we have 3 different type of characters.
(see this Youtube if you have a time, maybe you could imagine what I talk about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYVKT-TWB8A)
So that kind of functions are really difficult to apply for Japanese services.
And I have experience trying early beta of Google Instant Search, and remember that behavior was awful for Japanese. (now much better)
Then I've got this problem, that idea suddenly crossed me which the cause of problem might be Google Instant Search, JavaScript for the search might be cause something bad for BACK operation.
    Just like that.

  • Force Safari's Google Search to use IPv6

Does anyone know how to force the Google Search that is built in to Safari to go to
    http://ipv6.google.com
    instead of
    http://www.google.com
Note: Glims has lots of features but it doesn't provide a way to modify the Google URL.

Note: Glims has lots of features but it doesn't provide a way to modify the Google URL.
Does something stop you from creating a new one as described at http://www.machangout.com/tutorials/addsearchengine ?
or I see, you maybe want to default google one to go there, rather than creating a new search option which of course can be pointed anywhere. It is possible to modify strings inside the safari app & change that. I'm sure Klaus here has linked to it before.

  • Blank popup in safari after google search

Can someone tell me why I get this popoup everytime I submit a search via the built-in google search field in Safari?
And, more importantly, how I can I get rid of it?
This started happenning not long after the upgrade to Lion.
    Thanks!
    J

My girlfriend's computer is having the same issue.  We tried those steps last night, to no avail.  She is generally a safe and savy internet user, and never downloads files.
A temporary fix has been to use the Safari Block Pop-Ups option, but obviously the concern is that whatever is causing this is still running, even if we can't see it.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.  When I get home this evening I will edit in full details of her system.

  • What configuration is needed in tab utilities for firefox 5 lite to get google search links to open in a new window?

I have installed tab utilities lite, when I select some links (i.e. the ask questions button in this site) I get new tabs, but when I open the google search results links, the link opens in the existing tab.
What config is required to get the google links to open in a new tab?

This began to happen to me when I tried to run two separate profiles simultaneously on the same installation of firefox with -no-remote

  • Google search link gives me an error 404

Firefox 4.6.18. Last night when I typed a search into the firefox supplied google search box I received the message error 404(not found)!!1. Since this is a google supplied link it should have no problem with the address. I have just completed an scan on system with norton 360, malwarebytes and superantispyware and nothing came up.
