Red dot with the number 2 in white

I recently updated my iweb from previous version and now I see in the upper right side of the icon of the Iweb a red dot with a white number "2" on it and I don't know what that means.
Any help?.

  • Ical icon in dock shows a red circle with the number 1 in it

There is no event for today and I can't make it go away. I can't quit ical either, I can only force quit it. Any ideas?

  • A week ago, I got a red circle with the number 1 on it on the "setting" app on my home screen. I went to settings and there is a notification on the general tab about iso7 for my ipad. Read it and went back to home screen, but red circle won't go off.

Red circle on "settings" app on home screen. It's notifying me of the new iso7 software available I have read the notification but the red one on the settings app on the home screen won't go out as they do after reading the notification. Any ideas?

Have you turned off the device or reset it by pressing the top on/off button and the home button at the same time?
    Try that

  • My App Store icon keeps displaying the little red circle with the number 4 and when it is opened to the updates tab there are no app to update. The page displays "All Apps Are Up to Date". This just recently started an occurs on both my iPad2 and iPhone5

    Why is this happening?

I've seen reports of this happening when updates have been issued for apps that make them only work on iOS 7, users of earlier versions of iOS get notified that there are updates pending but when you actually go into the app store updates function it realises they don't apply to you because you are on an earlier version of iOS than what the new versions  require.
In fact I just had a very similar experience on my iPod touch with iOS 6, in App Store app it flagged 7 app updates in red badge but when I clicked on the Updates button it only listed two  apps to update, once they'd been applied the outstanding updates badge disappeared.

  • The little red dot with a bar on the weekly calender

Stupid question...In iCAl I have a little red dot with a bar attached to is that goes across the entire week. It is next to the timeline at about 2:00. It only shows up on the week calender. What is this bar? What does it do? Can one make it go away? It's killing me. I can't find a setting for it, an explanation, a right click...nothing. It's just buggin' me. Anyone???

    NCesau,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
The red dot with the bar is supposed to represent the current "Time of Day." It will/should be displayed in the Day, and Week views. It appears as if your TOD is stagnant, i.e. not working, if is stationary at the 2:00 time, and only visible in the Day view.
There is no user preference to change the normal behavior.
Since your iCal appears not to be working as advertised, you may be able to regain normal function by refreshing the iCal plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the .plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior.

  • Red circle with a number in it on the icon.  What is it?

    Hi,
There is a red circle with the number 1 in it on the iCal icon on my Dock . Can't seem to figure out what it means. Does anyone know?
    Thanks
    Gerry

    Gerry,
That means that you have an event invitation. Click on the envelope icon in the bottom left corner of the iCal window to display the invitation and choose what to do with it.

Restart your MBP holding the trackpad down and hopefully the disk will be ejected.  Then try to return it and get a refund or put it in the trash.  There is nothing that software does for your MBP that you cannot do yourself or with free software.
If can get your MBP started, delete all traces of the offending software.  Worst case is that you may have to erase the HDD and reload the OS and your user data.  I trust that you have a backup (minus MacTuneUp).
Courcoul has given you his opinion in a very succinct manner, and as you might surmise, I agree with him.
    Ciao.

  • This is probably a stupid question, but what does the red circle with a number in it mean on iCal? It looks just like the emails notification. I do not have anything do or up in my cal.

Actually, another person on the "more like this" had the right answer. It meant I had a notification for an invite that I needed to respond to.
Hope this helps you as much as it helped me.

  • What's with the number in a red circle above the Facetime icon in the dock?

What's with the number in a red circle above the FaceTime icon?  How do I get rid of it?

I'm interested in this too, kongakut2012.  I can't see an envelope either.  I discovered that the number probably meant that I had a missed call, but when I cleared all recent calls (including the missed one) the number didn't go away.  So -- where's the envelope, please???

  • Why when I publish template to FCPX the design appears as a thumbnail but the view shows the red warning screen with the Number 2?

why when I publish template to FCPX the design appears as a thumbnail but the view shows the red warning screen with the Number 2?

That is priceless!!!  Thanks!  I sure needed a good laugh after spending/wasting hours & days trying to either get my c6280 to give up on its Ink System Failure fixation, or find a decent replacement.  Unfortunately I need the Smart Web Printing feature that I guess only HP has, or I'd try a different brand. And now even HP has very few models with that available.
My error msg is a little different from those previously stated, but close:  0xc18a0201.  Even tho there were frustrations with my c6280, I did like several of its unique features which are hard to find now under $100.  I hate how HP (& I suppose other brands also) are CONSTANTLY changing models & then of course ink cartridges.
Oh heavens, I've had the c6280 a whopping 2 1/2 years!   I'm sure they want us poor slobs to have to buy a new one every year & a day!  To say nothing of the exorbitant prices for ink.  And now if this one is really dead in the water, I have SIX unused #02 ink cartridges which I cannot return---I got them in a combo pack, & for some reason have wound up with THREE lite pink & THREE lite blue cartridges, while having to buy extras of the other colors, that ran out before the others!!!   Yeah, & what's with that not being able to print in BLACK if a color runs out????
Anyway I really loved your essay!   It's a classic!  And says it all!  I hate that we have to be 'slaves' to the electronic 'wonders'!!!

  • List numbering without the "dot" after the number

    Hi everyone.
I'm new on Pages. I'm testing it to decide if I change MS word by it (I'm using a trial version of Pages for 30 days, if I like it, I'll buy it).
However, I tried to do a very simple thing and I simply couldn't.
I want to create an automatic number list without the dot after the number. Isn't it possible? I simply didn't find where to configure it. The only possibilities are the ones that appear in the list? Can't I configure it the way I want it? Moreover, in the second level, I also want to put it without the dot after the second number.
This is what I want to do (for example):
    1 Introduction
    1.1 Objectives
    1.2 Structure of the document
    2 Development
    2.1 bla
    2.2 bla
    2.2.1 bla bla
    2.2.2 bla bla bla
    2.3 bla
    3 Conclusions
This is what I could do:
    1. Introduction
    1.1. Objectives
    1.2. Structure of the document
    2. Development
    2.1. bla
    2.2. bla
    2.2.1. bla bla
    2.2.2. bla bla bla
    2.3. bla
    3. Conclusions
I don't want these dots after the last number.
I already saw somebody answering a similar question to the user to not use automatic list. But my document has a lot of sections and subsections (it shall have around 150 pages). If I do the numbers manually and I need to insert a new section between sections 2 and 3 (for example). I'd have to change all the numbers after that with a lot of subsections. It'd be very hard.
Thanks very much in advance for any help.
I'm sorry about my bed English.

With Pages '09, the only soluce is to apply the workaround described by Apple in this Technote (for a different requirement but the problem is in fact of the same nature).

Don't worry about your English and be happy, the technote is available in your main language

  • How can I print with the black and white cartridge only?

I am trying to print using the black and white cartridge only because magenta is out of ink but I'm getting the following error message in HP Photosmart C7200 series print dialog:
The printer is out of ink.
The following ink cartridges are empty: Magenta. Replace these ink cartridges to resume printing.
How can I print with the black and white cartridge only?
    Mac OSX 10.7.3
    HP Photosmart C7280 (7200 series)
    This question was solved.

I am absolutely disgusted by this; clearly a scam from HP to make more money by selling extra ink cartridges!!  I will make sure to never buy any products from the shoddy rip off merchants at HP ever again!!
    You should be ashamed!!
