  • Satellite M307 - many dots and lines on the screen

I bought this new pc in China half year ago,
However, when I move the screen today, there are always many dots and lines on it.
But if I don't touch it, it will be OK. I think it may be caused by the connection between screen and main physical system. Please contact with me: [email protected]
    Thank you!

    Hi!
I agree with you that is a connection problem or the display is faulty.
I think your notebook must be still under warranty so I would go to a local ASP.
They can order all necessary parts and exchange it.
    Bye

My ipod touch seems to have updated on its own, and now I can't access the songs, show a red circle with a red dot in the center.  Computer says the songs are still on the ipod.  Fix?

I have the same problem. I bought a 3rd party software (tunejack) and it allowed me to transfer my songs to my new pc. Now I can't play them because I am not authorized. It says I am but then it says im not.

  • Red Dot and Won't Turn On

my battery died last night and this morning when i woke up and tried to plug it in (to both usb and the wall) a red dot, appeared to the left of the speaker and it wont turn on. I left it plugged in for a little while and a screen appeared with a usb chord with an arrow pointing toward the itunes logo. i now have it plugged in my computer but nothing is happening, my computer doesn't recognize it.

I've seen that issue twice before. Try to take a picture of it with a digital camera (can be from a different iphone) and see if the ligh will go white...if so it's the infrared sensor and in both cases I've seen the phones were water damaged, so I thought it's related to liquid exposure, but if you're not sure, then it's hard to say.
Try taking it to Apple or an iPhone Repair place and they may be able to diagnose that. Best option (if it's over the warranty period) would be to just put your logic board in a different phone and this way test if it's ok

  • HT3302 my ipod got wet by the sprinklier but i check for the red dot and its not there. Yet i am still having problems with it sense. Does anybody know what is wrong?

My ipod got a little wet but it wasnt that bad. none of the inside was wet really and the red dot hasnt appeared.........i was wondering if there is something else wrong with it because it keeps pausing when i dont do anything to it

As a precaution I would dry the iPod by:
How to fix a wet iPod or iPhone | eHow.comfix-wet-ipod-iphone.html
After it is dry I would try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
For a nano the drying still applies
You have to find out how to reset the Nano
Yu can then try restoring via iTunes

  • White dots and lines are flickering through my iPad Air's screen and sometimes I have to hard reboot to get the screen to work...ideas?

I just got this iPad Air (32 GB wi-fi only) brand new from an Apple store on Saturday, so it's definitely not an issue of wear and tear. Basically, it looks like my iPad has bad TV reception, there's snow everywhere and lines running up and down the screen occasionally. It's not immediately noticeable, but once you do notice it you realize that it's on the entire screen. I managed to make it go away once by rebooting it which I found odd. I noticed this last night. Today, it was working fine when I woke up but a few hours later the screen wouldn't turn on. I could use Siri still so I knew the iPad was on and funtional, but I couldn't see anything. I managed to finally get it to work by hard rebooting it (Hold down top button + home) and it came alive again, but still has the snow. I rebooted it again and it didn't go away this time. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so is there anything I can do short of taking it into a store to get it replaced? It's obviously still under warrenty and I took Apple Care on it, so I'm not frantic about this, but if there's a DIY fix out there that would be great.

If the machine matches your profile, Mac OS X (10.7.4), iMac 27', 2012 model, refurbished, then it should be covered under the first year of use. Contact Apple's Express Lane and verify. If it is, then after getting it fixed, purchase AppleCare—the cheapest insurance policy available for Macs.

  • HT1451 Red Dot and a Circle? Forget this mess

I really am unhappy with my music library being tampered with because I am using iTunes. When I purchase songs, they should work on all of my devices. My ipad and my iphone and my laptop and my desktop have scrambled music on them. This is getting ridiculous. There should be no red circle with a square dot on my iphone making it impossible for me to hear music I own. I'm flat out sick of having to turn myself into a computer progrmamer to just use my own music library. Hello Spotify.

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

  • Strange dots and lines directly under my cursor.

I have booted my Mac Pro up this morning to find there are tiny black lines and dots underneath the cursor arrow.
The rest of my screen is perfectly fine.

On a closer inspection, the lines - they look like numbers and letters. Sort of if they had been printed on an old dot-matrix printer and the setting was on draught - hope someone can help me out here - I hope it’s not the Logic Board

  • The screen on my ipod touch is white all over and black in the upper right hand corner only with color dots and lines run to the left hand side but stop in the middle. how do i fix it?

right now it is the middle of april and i bought the ipod at the beging of Agust the year befor so it still has not been a year. currently it is thursday and the screen changed to the white and black corner on the monday earlier in the week (so 4 days ago). i had just broken up with my gril friend and we were fighting. in anger i through my ipod at the wall. i was aiming for my pillow on my bed so it would hit something soft but i missed and it hit the hard concrete wall in my room. when i looked at my ipod it had turn itself off and when turn on the screen was white with a little black in one corner. i have tryed to restart it by holding down the power and home button till it restarted but the screen only got brighter and then eventually went back the the brightness it was before and turn off. i can still turn the screen on but cant unlock. i know it is still working cause my alram still goes off in the morning. the ipod is a 4th generation ipod touch 16 GB memory and is black. can this be fixed at home on my own or do i have to take it in to apple. can apple even fix it or is my ipod past the point of repair. any advice would be nice. thanks in advance.

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Bad video RAM causing dots and lines

    Hi,
For some days there is a rendering error on my iMac G5 1.5 GHz (Tiger 10.4.11) : Dock, all menus, all message boxes are displaying with strange pattern overlayed on top. See http://snowflakejoins.com/forumhelper/desk.png and http://snowflakejoins.com/forumhelper/pattern.png
The Hardware test confirmed there are problems with the VRAM (Error code 2ATI/1/4 113-xxxxx-117)
The iMac's serial number is not one of those affected by the bad capacitors problems. To be sure, just opened the computer, and capacitors are ok.
Temporarily, found a workaround to disable Quartz Extreme here: http://discussions.apple.com/profile.jspa?userID=1606440. All the desktop icons, the dock etc are ok. There are small artifacts around the mouse pointer, but basically the computer is usable. Some eye-candy is gone, for example the topsites in Safari
Any ideas if VRAM will continue to degrade ? Could this be fixed by re-soldering the GPU and/or VRAM on the logic board ?
    -Alex

    Hi
harware test is on the "apple disk 1". Reboot and hold "option" key (the one near the apple logo). Select "harware test" . For 1.5 gb of ram complete test takes about one hour...

  • Red dotted line appear on the screen

There is a red dotted horizontal line will occasionally appear on the playbook's screen while I'm browse the web. It will stay there for from seconds to minutes. That only appear with the browser app and happen once on the Pictures app. Seems like a software problems? Or hardware( stuck pixies)?
Anyone gets clue about what is this thing about?
Updated: Just found out there are blue dotted line as well.

    Hi Byron,
I am creating an application that could possibly identify and fix your issue. Based on the pictures, it could be one of three things
    Dead Pixels
    Misbehaving Pixels
    Hardware/Screen defect
The app will try to solve 1 & 2 by cycling through all the pixels using an algorithm I made. Hopefully this will fix.
    Cheers

  • Music has red dots on iphone and wont play

Some music has red dots and wont play on iphone but appears on ipad and plays. Also cant update pc with music purchased on ipad that has been backed up on icloud.

I'm experiencing the same issues. Some songs will play andsome it just skips through and I can't make it stop scrolling up to the point where it will take me back to the main screen. depending how many times I do it or when I do it, some songs that didn't play on the initial try might play then, but not my whole playlist. All the songs play on my Ipad 3 and Ipod and they used to play on my Iphone 4 with iOS 6.

  • External display problems, Red dots.

Display on external monitor is plagued with red dots and horizontal lines, this only occurs with certain resolutions (particularly high resolutions).  I have a late 2010 revision of the Macbook Air ultimate 13inch, using a Griffin mini-display to DVI/HDMI (i have tried both HDMI and DVI), display is an ASUS 24inch (have also tried a dell 23inch, to the same problem).  I would really like to be able to use this display with my Air but the red flickering is annoying to view.

I have the same problem. I bought my Retina Macbook early so Jun 2012 I think and I got a new one for work Early 2013. Both have the same problem. I had the LCD burn in problem with the first one and when I asked apple about the red dots while they were replacing the display they said it was because it was trying to push too much data to the external display. I seriously doubt that but they said there would be an update to fix the problem which never came.
Right now my guess is that the DVI adapter I have maybe suspect but I haven't tried to replace it yet.

  • HT1296 red dot events in iphone calendar do not sync to outlook, only blue dot events

In first calendar sync with outlook after setting up iCloud account, there are numerous double entries for events on iPhone calendar, one with red dot and the other with blue dot. Also, some of red dot events on iPhone calendar do not sync to Outlook. How do I fix this?

  • Iphone calendar entry comes up with red dot?

I entered an entry on my iphone calendar that somehow had a red dot associated with it. As opposed to either blue or green, home or work, the standard calendars I have. Sync between my iphone entries and the mobilme 'cloud' has been working fine except for this one entry. It doesn't appear on the mobilme server's calendar nor any of my ical's on my computers. I don't know how this red color was assigned to it, because I didn't, at least not on purpose. Any thoughts?

How annoying. I just found this too. Right after I re-signed up with Apple's less than stellar MobileMe service b/c I can't find any other way to sync my contacts and calendar. What a waste of $99 per year for something so simple considering how much this phone can do.
Anyway, here;s what i have found:
When inputting a new appt in iPhone - with MobileMe in effect - I now see an option called Calendar (under "Repeat" and "Alert" in input screen). When I leave new appt in default iPhone calendar the date gets red dot and does NOT sync with MobileMe. So - and here's the annoying part - the only way I can make sure my newly input appts get synced to MobileMe and my Outlook on PC is if I take the additional 3 button clicks/steps to click "MobileMe" in Calendar section.
If I do that then the appt gets a blue dot and syncs properly across the board
I am very VERY disappointed and how unsimple (unApple) they have made syncing contacts and calendar with this phone. If anyone else finds diff, please tell me
