Red laser toner not printing on MFP M476Nw

Just bought a brand new HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M476nw. Everything set up smooth as silk, but the red toner refuses to print. I have ran the print calibration several times but it doesn't print a calibration page. It says printing document but nothing comes out. What should I do next?
This question was solved.

Hi DCLEE,
I am sorry to know that you are experiencing issues with your new HP product.
This product has a internal calibration procedure, it does not print a page during or after calibration.
Other than calibration page, are you able to print other documents from printer? where I understand that the printed pages are not having Red (Magenta) colored images.
Try to print an engine test page and check if all 4 colors are being printed.

  • Red laser toner mis aligned?

CM1312nfi color laser all-in-one. Suddenly the RED toner is mis-aligned vertically about 1/10 inches. Makes it look like double vision. How can one cart become mis-aligned from the other 3?
More importantly, how do I fix it?

    Hello ducling,
To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since the HP Color LaserJet CM1312 Multifunction Printer is a commercial product. You can do this at HP Enterprise Business Community.

  • Red not printing correctly

    Hi,
The printer is aHP Officejet 6700 Premium.
The red color is not printing correctly it is printing as a maroon colour. All other colours seem okay. No error messages are appearing.
I have run the clean printhead pgm and no change.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Couple of things come to mind.
First, obviously, make sure it is a Geniune HP cartridge. I have seen other ink that is a little off in color.
Second, make sure it has nothing to do with the paper you are using. Print a test page (if you haven't already) on normal white paper, not photo paper or something else.
Third, if you have a features tab in the printer preferences, make sure in the color management field, that it is not set on some custom color profile or application controlled setting.
    Hope that helps.

  • Desk Jet 810C Not Printing Magenta

    I need some troubleshooting help.
Months ago, my black ink cartridge started to empty and the printer started using reds or blues. I replaced the black cartridge with a refurbished one from Office Max. All worked fine.
The color cartridge started to empty a few months later, so I again went to Office Max and obtained a rebuilt color cartridge. I rarely print in color, but at times, after scanning a document on my HP scanner, when it printed it was in blue and red again. This was when I hit the "scan and print" button on my scanner. If I saved the scan as a PDF, it would print fine in B/W.
Now, the printer will only print black, yellow and green. The red/magenta will not print at all.
I did a head cleaning. I also did a "prime" maintenance function, with the same results. I even unplugged the printer, removed the cartridge, reinstalled it, and there was no change (this was the advice from someone on fixya).
Any ideas from anyone, other than trying a new cartridge?
    Thank,
    Mike

The quality of reman cartridges varies greatly (see here for a study).  You will likely have much better results using HP cartridges.
It may be possible to recover your cartridge by soaking the printhead nozzles down in 1" of very hot water for about 10 minutes.

  • Laser Jet Pro MFP M476nw printing lines of nonsense until it runs out of paper

I have a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476nw, and it has begun printing out pages of nonsense symbols until it runs out of paper.  This is particularly bad when I print from a website, sometimes from emails, etc., and it is wasting tons of paper.  I am extremely dissatisifed with this printer, and it is not even a year old yet.  I have tried turning it off and then restarting it, but the problem comes back.  Is this normal for this particular all-in-one?  I bought it instead of a Brother, which I had last, and expected better for my money.

If the output is repeatable (i.e. exactly the same when reprinting the same document, using the same driver, to the same device), then it is likely that it is caused by a driver (or driver settings) fault.
There may be a more up-to-date driver available, or (depending on the printer model) you may perhaps be able to switch to a driver using a different Page Description Language (i.e. PCL5 or PostScript or PCL6 (the 'marketting' name for the PCL XL PDL), depending on which you are currently using).
If the error(s) is/are random, they are much more likely to be the result of intermittent corruptions of the generated print stream between the workstation and the device (check cables, ports, switches, etc.); it could also possibly be an intermittent problem with the printer itself.

  • Laser Jet 1536dnf MFP says memory low and will not print

Laser Jet 1536dnf MFP says memory low and will not print. Have tried hard disconnect and restart. Error persists.

Hey ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I hope you enjoy your experience here. I see that you're encountering the memory is low error status on your LaserJet Pro 1536dnf MFP. I would like to help.  For this particular error, I have found the NVRAM Initialization type of reset to be beneficial in restoring functionality.  Note that completing this step will reset your printer's wireless configuration, ePrint address, and other customized printer settings. If you have created a custom @hpeprint.com address it will be permanently erased. For more information on custom ePrint addresses, click here.   As HP does not typically make the steps for this type of reset available publicly, I will private message you the instructions you need.  Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and clicking to accept this solution. Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!

  • Help, Upgraded to Yosemite and now my HP Laser jet 1320 printer will not work!

Two days ago I upgraded to Yosemite on my Imac. Now my HP 1320 Laser jet will not print at all!!! I need a printer for my eBay business ASAP and this is not good. The printer is a driver version 19.8 Is it compatible with the new program? I am so frustrated.

    Hello k1watt,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I see that you're unable to print to your HP LaserJet 1320 series after upgrading to Yosemite on your Mac.  I defintely understand how frustrating this is, especially since printing is vital to your business.  The printer driver version 19.8 is the most current version available.  To troubleshoot the issue however where you're unable to print, please follow the steps in the article below.
USB printers and Bonjour-enabled network printers
Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:
Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel.Note:If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
UseSoftware Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
Deletethe affected printer, thenaddthe printer again.
If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
Resetthe printing system, then add the printer again.
If the issue still persists, resetthe printing system again. Download and installyour printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.
Contact the printer vendor or visit their website for further assistance.

  • Laserjet 2600n not printing black on one side of page. already cleaned the laser/scanner assembly.

laserjet 2600n not printing black on one side of page. already cleaned the laser/scanner assembly. i've cleaned the assembly a few times beofre to restor the colors as the printer is in a semi-dusti environment.  after cleaning the printer was fine, then about a week later, the black - and only the black - stopped printing on the right side of the page.  the text is straight across left to right then starts to waver and then then stops altogether.  i tried a different black toner cartidge and the problem remains.

    > so this is strictly a hardware issue as no drivers are involved. Yup. > Still prints all black.   Ok its not the controller. > Still prints all black.   Ok its not the fuser. >  its still prints all black. OK its not the laser itself > it still prints all black. Not that part either. > What else left is there?  Formatter board hasnt been mentioned.  Something is sending a command to the printer that is telling it to open up the doors and charge the entire page.  Normally the laser is responsible for charging the media.  As the media passes over the toner doors it atracts toner particles.  Then as the paper continues it rolls past the fuser where heat melts the particles into permanent place. > The power supply board maybe?   Perhaps but not likely.  If you have a spare you could try it but power supply problems usually result with the machine unable to boot or print correctly, not printing too much as you have described here. > Is there another part you would reccomend I look at?
You could try the old Halfway test just to verify that the problem is coming from teh laser/toner part of the printer.  http://www.printertechs.com/printer-troubleshooting/halfway-test Your paper may have somehow gotten a staic charge that opposes the charge of the toner, thus auto attracting all particles in range as it passes over the toner doors.  Might want to grab a fresh ream of paper to test and rule somethign crazy like that out. Not very many options left after that.

  • Color Laserjet 2600n: only red not printing properly, washed out on the left side

    Hello,
Our HP2600 Color Laser printer does not print well whatever includes the color red. On a portrait layout the 2" from the left are washed out in red. We only use new HP cartridges, clean the machine regularly.
Error happens with different computers, XP and OS 10.
Machine is about 2.5 years old, estimated 100,000 pages have been printed on it.
    Thanks
    Su

I have two 2600n color laserjet printers.
One has color fading down the left hand side and I understand that this is due to dust accumulating on mirrors and laser.
More worrying is that the second printer will not print the color red at all - it gives an orange output

    Hello @ Averus89,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand you have done quite a lot to resolve your M176n and its connection to the ePrint service.
I would like to help you with this issue.
If the printer is not printing the web services info sheet, or allowing you to add it to HP Connected, I
    would set a manual DNS.
I wont go into great detail about setting this up. From your post, I feel you know your way around the printer and your network. If I am mistaken, let me know. I will go into detail.
    The DNS to try is:
    Primary: 209.244.0.3
    Secondary: 209.244.0.4
Set the DNS then try printing the web services info page again.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Not printing red

Hi, my Photo eStation is not printing Red despite the fact that all
cartridges are new or over 75%. They are all HP branded.
red shows as yellow, blue is more turquoise?
Any ideas, the colour quality is really poor.
Printer is under 3 months old.
