Red notification badge not appearing...

A developer reports that they can't seem to get the red badge to work as a notification. They have an Enterprise account, they have set all things up correctly on their end (so they assured me), their client didn't turn off badges as a notification method for their app (so they promised me), and everything else like messages and background downloads are working fine. I told them, it's difficult to point out what the problem is, without being able to monitor all steps and settings. But they're hoping some one comes up with a usual pitfall in this area. What on earth could they be overlooking or doing wrong ?

Thanks for responding :-) Your answer makes sense. Their client might not be familiar with the fact that Newsstand is actually an app (not a folder) taking care of the updates and editions of other apps. So he/she might have missed Newsstand's red badge and also have overlooked any blue dots. I haven't asked the developers about that scenario...

I found the answer. You have to manually go into the iBook store and re-download your purchased books. In the store, if you do a search and try to download your book from the search results list, you'll be charged for the cost of the book. I kept it off like it was overnight, in the morning agin recharged it, but still it is not switching on. it is not responding, except when i connect the charger, it gives a blink noise that recharge has started. I removed the SIM and tried restart it but no response, What should i do to restart it please?

Seems to be working again, I haven't done anything though. And the "wifi" led on my laptop is off, which should mean that the interface is down.
This is driving me crazy I don't understand how the all thing works, if anyone has any tips that would be very nice.

Hi I have an Iphone 5c and set my email account (local provider company).
I can receive mails perfectly and also send mails but the notification of a new mail comming is not appearing with the red globe on top of the Mail as suppose to.
Once I entered the mail application the mails start to download and the red globe appears but not before just after I entered tha application.
the other applications I have like whatsapp and bbm are working perfectly. I check the notification center many times and looks ok for me but don't know what could be the problem. If someone can help me I really appreciate...

Push mail is automatically sent to your device when it arrives at the email server. Your email account has to support this.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Push > ON, your account > select Push (if available), Fetch, or Manual

Notification Tasks not appearing in IW22 but appears in IQS12 transaction

When I try to close the Notification then I am getting the error message u201CTasks are not completedu201D. Even in system status, I got the status there is u201COutstanding tasksu201D. But when I looked for Tasks in Notification, I can not find any tasks in Header or Item Level. In fact there is no TASK Tab at Header or Item Level.
When I checked in QMSM Table, I found entries for that Notification. I came to know about one standard SAP transaction IQS12, where we can process (i.e. Release and / or Complete) the task of Notification. In IQS12 transaction, I found outstanding tasks for that Notification.
I need following clarification, kindly let me know:
- Why the Tasks are not appearing in IW22 transaction but appearing in IQS12 transaction?
- When we can use the IQS12 transaction / purpose of IQS12 transaction?

For our business requirement, we don't want the task tab for Notification type. Hence we have not configured the task tab.
I found the reason, even we don't have the task tab also we can assign the tasks to Notification by following menu path in IW22 TC: Edit > Tasks > Determine.
This path is only activated, when we made the configuration in Define Response Monitoring > Response Time Monitoring for Notification Type. Here we are assigning the Response Profile to Notification type. In Response Profile, we define the Task Code based Priority.
I hope in this case (i.e. where task tab not defined for Notification), we can use the IQS12 transaction to release and close task. Please let me know, if my understanding is wrong....

10.1.3.1 - Wrong syntax red flag does not appear for undefined variables

I installed 10.1.3.1 and I noticed something strange.
In 10.1.3.0 a very nice feature was the indication, with a red flag, of wrong instructions.
Now, when a variable is not defined, the red flag doesn't appear and I see the error only at compile time.
Did I miss something during conversion ?
Is it a bug ?

I was getting this problem, and diagnosed and fixed the issue in my case. This was after checking the audit preferences and finding they were correct.
The problem was that I had migrated from an installation of 10.1.3.0 that had developed the problem described in Jdev plugins cause StackOverflow exception on startup of 10.1.3 .
JDev 10.1.3.1 doesn't display the exception on startup, but it seems still to mess up the way it reads your preferences--quite significantly. That seems to have worked for me.
If others have this problem and migrated under similar circumstances, try the solution suggested on that thread (removing just the <Item> tags that mention scm, not all of them, which causes even worse problems).

Mail Badge Not Appearing - Please help

Hi,
I have a Gmail account, and the iPhone set to fetch every 15 minutes. When I receive an e-mail, the phone vibrates or rings to indicate mail received, but no badge # appears on the Mail icon the iPhone's desktop.
Is this normal?

Egads. After the Comcast forced port change, then 3 days of Comcast "Can Not Help You's",
my third party "domain" address would still not send. Got all the configurations right, but the user login was in conflict. "Can not send both from same server" or similar to that.
My main Comcast account was in the same name of my main email address, or user (as yours may be because that's how they set you up) and my password was also the same. So Mail kept rejecting it as a conflict, and no one googled knew why.
I set up a new email account at comcast. Something like domain4ccastmail (@comcast.net) which I will never use. (No need to fill in the new password fields, it will keep the main). I used this new address for the outgoing smtp and password verification puzzle. Alas, no conflicting usernames. And I won. Hope you do too.

New mail notification counter not appearing in dock

I've noticed recently that my new mail notification counter doesn't appear in the dock if I have Mail sitting in the background. I can be working in, say, Word, and not know I have new mail. Yet, when I go to Mail there are emails sitting there (and the dock counter appears as soon as I go to Mail.
Not a major problem, I agree, but it would be nice to fix it, if anyone has any suggestions.

Red Slider will not appear when trying to force reboot

I found my old ipod touch and it says Disabled connect to Itunes. I do not have my origional pc to re-synch so i am trying to do the force restore. However i cannot get the red slider to appear in order to turn ipod off. I have tried numerous combinations of buttons. Any ideas?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

E-mail notification alert not appearing

I am running Thunderbird 24.4.0 on Windows 7. I am using no add-ons and I am only using a Gmail account with Thunderbird right now for testing.
I do not receive any new e-mail notifications. I did receive them once or twice before, but it is very random and rare when I do receive a new e-mail alert.
However when I maximize Thunderbird, it displays the new e-mail. So Thunderbird is indeed actually receiving the e-mail, it is just failing to notify me.
I have ensured notifications are enabled in the Menu Bar > Tools > Options.
I have tried using Add-ons such as:

Which also do not help display alerts. However the "new mail attention" add-on does blink the Thunderbird icon on the Windows taskbar, so at least something can notify me.
I have also tried running Thunderbird in safe mode, and running it in compatibility mode for Windows Vista, both also did not help. This appears to be a bug in Thunderbird, as I have noticed other users mentioning the same issue.

Right Side Red Line will not appear for full browser width.

I had my top navigational bar set up to fill in a 100% browser width. Now, only the left side red line will appear and the right side will not work.

Ah, I understand now. Menus will stretch to 100% browser width in terms of any background applied to the top level Menu widget, but the actual items will not be stretched or fitted at the moment. I'd recommend adding that to our ideas section so that others can vote on it. It would also help if you clarify what you'd expect. Would you want the menu items to grow, or the space between them? And what would you expect if one of the menu items became too long for the container? Should the text wrap, or should it not be able to get smaller than that?

Newsstand Notification Badge Not Disappearing

I subscribed to MacLife for 0.99/month, and downloaded the first issue. I flipped through every page and the "1" badge in Newsstand will not go away (I have no other subscriptions). I deleted it, redownloaded it, made sure to deliberately load pages and the menus, and even in the app it will clear the "New" marking, but Newsstand keeps the "1" badge. I even turned off the badge notification in settings for the MacLife app, but when turning it back on, it just comes back. I haven't read of anyone else with this problem. Any suggestions? (I've tried hard resets, too, of course.)

For me, the badge went away when I disabled badges on the magazine app I had subscribed to.
I'm wondering if it's because there's another (older) issue available that I didn't buy through the app.
I still have badges turned on for the two mags I haven't subscribed to yet, and I don't have any badges showing on Newsstand.

Then, I noticed over the last few days that I'm just not getting any notifications... not apps like Facebook and Twitter, nor iPhone apps like Mail. Any ideas? How can I fix this and get my notifications back?
