RED SLASH THROUGH THE SOLO BUTTON

Guys
Sometimes on some sessions I have an audio track that has a small, almost invisible red diagonal slash through the solo button. So when I solo a different track, I still hear the one with the line through the solo button, so I have to mute that one too. It's frustrating to have to mute stuff when other stuff is soloed. The track is like solo exempt or something. What's up...
Any reason for the slash through the solo button.

That channel is in solo safe mode.
It's Control-click on the solo button to solo safe it. It means that channel will be pretected from soloing, ie you will still hear it when you solo other channels.
Good for buss returns and the like.

Title says it all. Sure didn't make it happen on purpose and sure don't want it. I know i can ctrl/click to get rid of it but it returns when reopen the project and i want it not to happen at all. Can't find it in the manual and would appreciate any help.

The solo button and my inability to get a level

While working through Dave Nahmani's book, I opened "We Shared Everything_start" and I armed the acoustic track for recording. However, I get no input from the channel.
I can hear the other channels fine. My input volume is fine on my Fast Track. I just get no level in the channel.
The strange thing is that the Solo Button has a red line diagonally through it. I can't seem to find a reference to such symbology in my reference material (yet).
Just wondering if anyone here had come across this in their travels. HELP!

Battery Icon w/ a red slash through it.

Grabbed my phone the other morning to see the screen fairly blacked out w/ the picture of a battery with a red slash through it. Figured it meant the battery was toast and a new one was needed. Proceeded to the nearest AT&T store to replace it, got stuck with a new salesperson who tried several batteries and the same icon kept popping up. Red light flashes, icon pops up, nada. Salesperson says phone is dead, your warranty expired 25 days ago, you need to buy a new phone for $450. Tell me there is something I can do to get my Blackberry up and running. Anyone else have this issue? Thank you!

Bueno, mira, despues de leer desesperado en varios foros y sitios y no encontrar una solucion para mi BlackBerry 8100, la cual estaba conectada al pc cargando y al desconecatarlo y apagar el pc quedo bien, y en la mañana solo marcaba una pila tachada, trsitemente me resigne a perder mii tan adorado telefono, ya que la garantia no se encontraba vigente y nadie daba con el chiste, en fin, ya desesperado me dedique un par de noches a buscar la solución hasta que la encontre, asi que describo los pasos a continuación:
1. Al conectar el cargador a la BB, se mantiene el icono de la pila tachada, pero dejala asi un par de horas para que cargue la pila al maximo.
2. Luego la conectas al PC y escuhas que el pc la reconoce en el puerto USB, pero al abrir el desktop manager no te muestra el PIN de la BB, y el icono de la pila tachada se mantiene.
3. OK este es el paso importante y es el que revive el telefono, asi que pon mucha atencion, sin desconectar el telefono del cable USB, presionas el boton de colgar (el rojo, con la que se prende y se apaga el telefono), y acto seguido presionas el boton verde (el de contestar), en un par de segundos la pantalla se pondra negra, no sueltes ninguno de los dos botones, que en un lapso de 10 segundos la pantalla se pondra blanca y el reljito aparecera en el centro de la pantalla, no sueltes, repito NO SUELTES, los botones durante este paso, ya que inmediatamente vuelve al icono de la bateria tacha.
4. Cuando termine de cargar el soft, y salga el logo de blackberry, sueltas el boton rojo, para que el telefono no se apague, y mantienes presionado el verde, hasta que salgan todos los iconos.
5. Cuando salgan todos los iconos y tu telefono aparentemente este funcionando perfecto, desconectas el cable usb, ojo, todo esto sin soltar el boton verde.
6. Sueltas el boton verde, y pruebas que salgan llamadas y todo ande perfecto, asi verificas que el hardware esta perfecto, pero no siempre es el paso final.
7. Revisa que reconozca la memoria sd y lo demas funcione.
8. Reconectas el cable USB, pueden pasar dos cosas, la primera es qeu salga la pila tachada y debas repetir los pasos 1 al 5, sin desconectar el cable usb, o en segunda, que aparezca la conexion de desktop y el telefono aparentemente funcione bien. Si te toca repetir los pasos del 1 al 5, NO SUELTES EL BOTON VERDE PARA NADA!!!!
9. Entras a a la opcion de actualizar el software de la BB, con el desktop manager, y actualizas a la version mas reciente, cuando la pantalla se ponga negra, despues de iniciar el proceso de actualizacion, puedes soltar el boton verde, pero ojo, no te puedes descuidar del telefono.
10. Cuando termine de cargar el soft, el desktop manager tratara de reiniciar el telefono, si sale la pila tacha, nuevamente presionas el rojo y luego el verde hasta que el desktop manager, reconozca el telefono y prosiga la carga del software sin soltar el boton verde, hasta q termine el proceso de carga de archivos, q es la segunda parte, de la instalacion del soft del telefono, si la pila tachada no sale, no presiones nada, dejala que ande sola que ya qdo bn.
11. Cuando se vuelva a apagar la pantalla, ya deberia iniciar sola, y ya solo debes esperar que termine de instalar, si no, de nuevo rojo y verde para q recargue el soft, al terminar la actualizacion de manera satisfactoria, desconectas tu tel.
12. Reconfigura tu telefono como solias usarlo, has llamadas y todo normal, y apagalo con el boton rojo.
13. Prendelo y disfrutalo.
Es dispendioso pero les garantizo que soluciona el problema de la pila tachada en la BlackBerry 8100, ya que asi revivi la mia y la tengo andando de lujo, y queda demostrado que es un error de software mas no de hardware, y que mucho menos genera la perdida del telefono, espero les sea util.
Recomendaciones adicionales:
1. Usar la version mas actualizada del Desktop Manager
2. No hacer downgrade del telefono, usa la version ma reciente que te de en disponibilidad el Desktop Manager, ya que con la version 4.2 no me ando, y con la version 4.50.108 quedo de lujo!!!

Seeing the X on the padlock and a slash through the https on the address line when I use Outlook Web App

I run exchange 2013 on windows 2008 R2 with a cert from VeriSign that is about 2 years away from expiration. I have a user who uses our Outlook Web App from home and keeps complaining he is "seeing the red X on the padlock and a slash through the https
on the address line when he uses Outlook Web App"
I go to EAC and the cert seems fine - ALTHOUGH I get a cert error on my IE when I login into EAC. So I'm wondering if I have a cert problem.
Any help would be appreciate.

My Blackberry does not start up, all I get is a red line through the battery

Hi this is my first Blackberry and seven months after purchace I phone stops working. All I get when I turn it on is a red line through the battery. I bought a new battery and the same thing. I am like at wits end, HELP!

#1. Be patient with #2.
#2. Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).

When the same text is view in another browsers it appears correctly as "two/".
I've checked, and the same problem appears in Firefox on another computer.

You are on a Mac and that is a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerning kerning] problem. Don't you see the same problem in other applications if you choose the same font, font-weight and font-size.
I only find one other kerning [https://support.mozilla.com/questions/789254 question] here -- it is marked unsolved. I find it strange that Firefox got involved with this at all rather than leaving such things to the operating system and font metrics.
Does the problem go away with "command+0" (zero) which resets [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Zoom_text_of_web_pages zoom level] to normal. If you mess with the font sizes in your preferences because you want larger print that would have the same effect.
Also found this one recently reported for [https://support.mozilla.com/questions/892222 Firefox 7 in ubuntu 11.04] which appears much worse. If it involves Firefox and specific operating systems it becomes a lot harder to diagnose who or what is responsible.

How do I get the solo button back??

I'm following along in a lecture and had to SOLO a text layer. I did that but now somehow I hid the EYE icon and the SOLO button. I've asked my instructor but he has never encountered this problem. Has anyone had this issue? I'm using Adobe CC on a PC. I've included a screenshot for reference.

You simply right click in the top bar of the timeline and select A/V Features to be displayed. The entire timeline is customizable. I'm surprised that your instructor did not know this. It's all part of the basic interface and instructions are available in the Help files (search timeline layout in the search help field at the top right corner of the timeline).

My iPad has red bleeding through the screen.

My iPad has red bleeding through the screen. The background is solid red behind everything on the page. What causes this?
Is there a fix for this?

On a different thread, someone suggested dropping the iPad on its back onto a carpeted floor. I did this from about two feet high with no effect. Then tried from about 3.5 feet high, and VOILA the red disappeared! Many others reported same miraculous fix. Hope it works for you!

Red lights behind the power button

In reading through some posts last night I got the impression that I should be paying more attention to the lights inside the box, behind the power button, when booting (or I should say attempting to boot) my dual-core G5 PowerMac.
My observations this morning are that I see a big red light when the machine is first powered up from cold, and also when it is restarted. That goes off. A few seconds later, before the chime, I see a brief, much smaller red light flash in that same area. Almost a pinpoint.
Is that normal, or is it diagnostically significant?
(As noted in my earlier post today, I'm launching a final effort to fix this sick puppy before I give up and take it down to the Apple Store, but it needs to be a campaign of controlled baby steps.)

Hmm, on second thought I'm not so sure... but I don't have time to open the thing up right now and figure out exactly where each of those LEDs is. The drawings in that article and in my manual aren't terribly helpful.

Web ADI defines the Oracle tap where the Upload and Download options are. Where Web ADI defines the Oracle tap?
Can I modify that menu and unify in the same button the upload and download processes.
My client wants to see the refreshed data inside Oracle without pushing Uploading Data and pushing again Downloading Data.

What's With The Solo Buttons?

Is there some oddness going on in Logic with the display of solo buttons? It seems like I keep choosing to VIEW SOLO BUTTONS in the arrange, and look up awhile later and have to do it again, they are gone.
A bug or something I don't get yet?

What does it mean when there is a red slash through an app that is listed with my apps?

When I go to my computer and to the App Store I have noticed there is a big red slash mark on some of my apps. What does this mean?

It usually means that you may have upgraded the version of OS X to a version with which these apps are incompatible.

Red light near the PMU button

Hi, my iMac it's a G4 with 1.25GHz and gfFX5200.
It makes began to give problems with Kernel Panic. I have replaced the HDD and reset the PMU but it has not worked. Informing to me better I discover that the problem was given from inner RAM and I replace it. I startup the mac, the screen with the apple still and I shutdown from the power button. From that moment when I startup I find black monitor and a red light beside PMU button. Opening I have removed the thermal paste of the metal body and fear has overheated something. I have tried to replace RAM and HDD whit original and controlled that all she was connected well.
What means the red light? There is some way to save it?
PS: excused for my bad English, are Italian.

The beeping that you are hearing is known as BIOS beep codes. They are to alert you to problems. Here is a guide to help you troubleshoot the problem:

There are codes near the bottom of the page. You should count the beeps and compare them to the charts to determine the problem.

No sound without the solo button

I imported 17 songs in a project and theres no sound at all if I don't hit a solo button.
Ofcourse I don't want to play more than one track at a time but maybe I had something
engaged by mistake. Or does really Logic know I have 17 different songs in the project.
By the way, I have retuned every song so they will tune to my guitar.

Yes, that did the trick. I forgot to open the mixer first so now I will never know...:-)
But it's kind of strange anyway since all 17 tracks were ok and the output and master
has no solo button. But the mute buttons blinked so it was something. Well, thank's for the help. Since I'm new to logic I guess I'm a little nervose for not being in control.
