  • Red Blue issue with published DeskI Report in InfoView

    Hi everyone,
i'm expieriencing a strange behaviour with my published DeskI Reports.
I'm using logos in my report and they work just fine... in my full client. As soon as I publish them to InfoView and open them up in the browser, then somehow the color red and blue interchange. Red becomes blue and vice versa...
    My System consists of:
    BOE R 3.1 SP2
    Win Server 2008
    DeskI and WebI
Has anyone expirienced the same issues?
    Thanks and kr,
    Nils

    Hi Stratos,
so far everything is just fine. Hope you are doing great too.
    my IE version is: 7.0.5730.13
    Tomcat version: 5.5.20
If I click on the logos in InfoView, nothing happens.
I tested 3 different ways to implement them:
    1) via link; pictures shows up, but again with the red blue issue
    2) as an object; pictures shows up; also w/ the red blue issue
    3) inserted a cell, and pasted the picture in it, pictures shows up; also w/ the red blue issue
The strange thing is, that this issue only appears in the browser.
    Thanks,
    Nils

  • 3rd Gen nano (RED) screen issue

I've just got my 3rd Gen nano (RED) but it seems that there is an issue with the backlight of the screen. Initially, when I tried to charge it with my MacBook with the USB cable, it didn't charge at all. I have to plug it into the power adapter to get it charging.
Also, I have to press the screen to get the backlight to "work" otherwise I can hardly make out what's on the screen.
What can this be? Also, is it a case of the iPod being fully drained of power? Please help! I'm getting this as a Christmas present for my girlfriend

To address the charging issue, make sure you are connecting the ipod to a high powered USB port (2.0) for it to properly charge on your computer. Often these ports are on the back of the computer, not on the front or the keyboard.
Yes, if your ipod is very low on battery charge the backlight will not come on.
Also, you should not have to touch the screen to turn on the backlight. In fact if it comes on when you touch the screen it is defective. It is only supposed to come on when you touch the clickwheel.
You should probably check to see what you have your backlight settings set to on the ipod. I have mine set to 10 seconds, so it comes on when I touch the click wheel and the light turns itself off after 10 seconds. If this is the behavior you see on your ipod, it is working fine. If you want to extend the time it stays on, you can set it to stay on longer under the settings. be advised the backlighting does use battery power, and your playlife may be affected by having the backlight on a lot.

  • Still Having Random Red Frame Issues

I've been reading several threads about the dreaded red frames when exporting through Premiere Pro CC or Adobe Media Encoder CC.  I have installed the Premiere Pro CC (7.2.1) update and I have cleared my cache and re-rendered previews for the sequence.  My source clips in my sequence are MXF files (XDCAM HD 35) and I am operating on a Mac OSX-Version 10.8.5
What is really frustrating is that I'm dealing with multiple clips in this format and it is totally random as to which ones are affected.  Sometimes I don't even see the red frame when watching the clip through, but when I export it, it's there.  I know that the fix mentioned in the previous thread was supposed to help those using ProRes files, but the MXF files are still being affected.
Thanks for any and all help.

    Hi Kevin,
I'm still having this problem with the red frame errors.  Also, it's not
limited to Premiere Pro.  Just trying to convert one .mxf file to a .mov or
.mpg file through Media Encoder (while bypassing Media Encoder) is causing
the same issue.  And it's totally random and intermittent with respect to
which file I send through.  Also, sometimes, sending the file that didn't
work the first time back through AME again, sometimes converts successfully
and sometimes doesn't.  There is no constant which makes it very difficult
    to pinpoint the problem.

  • HH5 Flashing Red light issues

    hello,
experiencing strange issues with a BT Infinity 2 circuit at my property.
    Symptoms:
    * 3 days ago the original HH5 dropped the broadband connection - it changed to an orange light with flashing red broadband symbol. No dial tone when the RJ11 is plugged into the SSFP Infinity socket but dial tone returns as soon as RJ11 unplugged.
    * reported to BT and after typical troubleshooting they decided to send a replacement HH5 out
    * whilst waiting for this I borrowed a Draytek 2850 from work and decided to test on the circuit - bizarrely this was able to connect to BT Infinity (albeit at around 45581 Kbps instead of 75000 Kbps i was getting last week) and dial tone present on phone
    * replacement HH5 arrived today, plugged in and exactly the same symptoms as original HH5
any ideas what could be going on?
    thanks
    Michael

Does your phone work if just conencted to test socket with filter?  Try quiet line test. Dial 17070 option 2 should be quiet and best with corded phone

  • W510 Hardware LCD Screen Red-Colored Issue

It seems that after a rough transport of my W510, the screen is now malfunctioning with a grainy/noisy static-filled image that's tinted red all over. I am hoping this is a cable issue, similar to when you jostle loose your computer VGA/DVI cable and discoloration occurs.
    Here's what it looks like:
    Image 1
    Image 2
What steps should I take now? My warranty is expired.

Seems like a good guess, and some reports online also indicate that it could be a solder joint loose on the motherboard. But I need some test to diagnose this as the LCD display or the Mobo. What do you think? Okay, and I already reconnected the connections from the cables to the motherboard, but what about the cables leading to the LCD itself? I didn't take it apart that far. Are there more connections within that top half of the laptop that could possibly be causing this?

  • Messenger / red clock issues

I have a new 9300 Curve, which I got about 3 weeks ago. It's my third blackberry, so I'm quite used to it although not all the technical side of things.
I am having problems with Messenger, when I send messages to contacts. Sometimes they go straight through and are fine, other times they get the red clock, and take minutes, hours or sometimes days to go through. I use messenger a lot, so this is really inconvenient and annoying for me. I have tried turning on and off, and tried battery pulls, but neither of these clear it.
Today I emailed the chat history to myself (in case it got wiped), and none of those emails will go through, and this is 3 hours later now.....
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can solve this? I'd be so grateful!

Are you pulling the battery like this?
With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Also, check Options > Applications and tell me what version of BBMessenger you have installed?

  • HP Photosmart C7283 red color issue

    hi
i am using HP Photosmart C7283 All-in-one and my red color (Light Magenta and Magenta) are not printing.
i have tried changing the ink including usig originals and it seems the problem is not with ink.
i have also printed a report from the printer itself which didn't print these colors that means the problem is in the printer and not whitin the pc driver.
    any help, please....
    tnx
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I looks like you are having a serious print quality problem. This particular problem is caused by either a faulty cartridge, or a failed printhead. I would start by trying the steps in the document below. If that doesn't work, try doing a hard reset. If it's still not working, try doing a partial reset. If after that the problem continues, replace the cartridge that is causing the problem. If it's still not working after all of that, the printhead is most likely bad, in which case you will need to replace the printer.
    http://goo.gl/1kSmu
    To do a hard reset:
    1. Make sure the printer is on.
    2. Pull the power cord from the printer.
    3. Pull the power cord from the wall.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. Plug the printer in and turn it on.
    To do a partial reset:
    1. Make sure the printer is on.
    2. Pull the power cord from the printer.
    3. Pull the power cord from the wall.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. Plug the power cord inot the wall, but do not plug in the printer.
    6. Hold down the 3 and # buttons.
    7. While holding the buttons, plug in the printer.
    8. When the lights come on, let go of the buttons.

  • Avoiding Red Triangle issues in VLOOK

    Hi All,
I am using this line -
=VLOOKUP($A2,Pupil Grades :: $A$34:$P$38,COLUMN(),FALSE)    -   (FALSE has replaced EXACT MATCH for some reason)
The problem is, if a child was missing or there is no data against a looked up entry - i get a red triangle. I have tried to use IFERROR, but that does not seem to work.
Could anyone suggest how to avoid a red triangle when there is no corresponing data.
    Thank you.

    Gwyn,
    vlookup takes several arguments:
    VLOOKUP(search-for, columns-range, return-column, close-match)
    search-for is what to lookup
columns-range is where to look for the item search-for
return-columns is the column relative to the first column in the range defined by columns-range
close-match determines HOW vlookup returns values
with close-match (the last argument) set to FALSE you are asking vlookup to return an error if if cannot find an exact match.
you SHOULD be able to use the iferror() function.
    I suggest something like:
    =IFERROR(VLOOKUP($A2,Pupil Grades :: $A$34:$P$38,COLUMN(),FALSE), "")
    OR
    =IFERROR(VLOOKUP($A2,Pupil Grades :: $A$34:$P$38,COLUMN(),FALSE), "Not Found")
If this doesn't work please post back with a screen shot showing the problem cell along with the error

  • Red eye issues

I was wondering if someone with more experience cam help me. I have a picture in iphoto that needs major red eye editing. When I proceede to remove the redeye and then save my work, I proceede to open the picture again and it is only partially corrected. It is as if it did not stick.
I anyone can offer some help I would be very appreciative
    Marc

There's a trick that may help you here. You can change the red-eye tool into a circle that you can resize and place over the eye in your photo to tell iPhoto exactly where to remove the red. I've found it helpful in cases where the photo has lots of red and iPhoto would put splotches in strange places, no matter how well I clicked on the eye.
The following is a quote from Old Toad:
There are a lot of "undocumented" or "very hard to find" gems for getting more out of iPhoto. I've gleamed most of them from the forums. One of the most useful is how to change the size of the red eye tool and the size and intensity of the retough tool. Another poster found it somehow and shared it. It's :
How to Change the Size of the Retouch and Red-Eye Removal Tool
    Type Caps lockControl9
    Undo caps lock
Click on the Retouch or Red-Eye Removal tool
The tab key will toggle between cursor types, a cross or a circle
The "[" and "]" keys decrease or increase the size accordingly.
NOTE: Using the "{" "}" keys will will change the value next to the circle and that represents the degree of change or intensity that the tool imparts on each pass.
I never would have found it on my own. That's why these forums are so valuable - sharing the tips with others.

  • Red Noise issue

I've got a photo that was taken in a dark room.  I adjusted the level to brighten it up some, but I'm seeing this red noise on everything.  It's really noticable on the grey wall.  Is there a fix for this or am I asking too much of a bad photo?
    hxxp://gtworkspace.com/red_noise.jpg

The image has a lot of Jpeg artifacting.  Here's what I tried:
Run it through Noise Ninja using the default settings (cleaned up most of the problem, http://www.picturecode.com/)
Create a channel mixer layer (see attached file for this and other layers)
The channel mixer recovers some of the depth that is lost in noise reduction, especially in the face.
Create a curves layer over that to modify color balance
Select the face and add a final curves layer to improve flesh tone (can't attach a file for that, but you need to add 9 points of red, and take out 2 points of green.)
The result looks a lot like old Kodachrome.  Other parts of the picture will have some color shifts owing to the channel mixer, but you can selectively mask those out if desired.

  • Red X Battery Issue Prevalent After Reset

I have the dreaded red X on my battery icon when attempting to charge, ive already run a factory reset (and lost stuff because apparently "backup paused, cloud service unable to connect" but thats beside the point), and yet this issue is still there, along with the battery drain issues many have stated from the kitkat update. to make matters worse, my phone wont connect to my laptop through usb, and i feel the red x issue and this are connected. Does anyone know of something i can do? this battery is less than a year old, and the usb cable has worked with other devices.
Ive pulled the battery, checked the cable, hard reset, tried charging in safe mode, and still nothing.
Does anyone know what i could do to fix these problems?

Thank you for your response. My phone has suffered no physical/water damage of any kind that I am aware of, this appears to be an issue linked mainly to the kit kat update. My little brother is not having this problem, yet we both have the same phone, however his was replaced recently due to water damage so maybe that has something to do with it. A new problem has arisen with my phone now, I cant accept downloads through texts; such as ringtones or pictures. this wasnt an issue before the reset...
Anyway, what is the general cost of a replacement when under warranty because Ive still got a few months left. Seeing as how there is no physical damage and it seems to be linked to the update which I have no control over, would it be possible to have any fees reasonably waived?

  • That red frame discussion

So i have been dealing with red frames for about a year and a half now -
    - In Premiere pro CC and early CC 2014 versions, .MXF footage used to red frames and relink badly on multi spanned clips if the sidecar files were detected by premiere. This was a major bug because your edit would now relink to bad timecode. The handling for that was deleting any kind of metadata before importing your .MXF files. this worked 99% of the time for me - did not get much bugs after that.
    - Skip to what i believe was the 8.0.0 version, and most importantly the 8.0.2 - i do not have re link issues, however red frames appear on export nearly everytime. With the media encoder log you can see how much red frames you have, but no timecode and its still a pain in the *** to double export(correcting the red frames on the first export file).
    - From the few adobe employee posts i have read, the way to counter this is - import the card while maintaining the structure, then import footage via the Media browser. This should technically handle any bugs. I have not tested this yet, however i already know that sometimes i get mxf files without card structure(director's sometimes create their bins at the Mac OS X Finder level)
Im hoping adobe fixes this issue ASAP - i undestand that red frames are only an indicator of a bigger problem, but this problem is making me consider converting all my footage to prores before import, thus turning my premiere pro cc in FCP 7.

    Hello Adaptat1on,
    - From the few adobe employee posts i have read, the way to counter this is - import the card while maintaining the structure, then import footage via the Media browser. This should technically handle any bugs.
With the release of Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 (8.2), we believe we have solved the "red frames" issue with .mxf files.
If you are working with an earlier version of Premiere Pro or have updated a project file from a previous version of Premiere Pro to 8.2, you might still see them.
The method of importing these files is correct as you outlined above. Copy the SD card to your HD, then import via the Media Browser.
I have not tested this yet
However, this is precisely the right way to import footage coming from a camera's SD card.
However i already know that sometimes i get mxf files without card structure(director's sometimes create their bins at the Mac OS X Finder level).
I would communicate with your colleagues and inform them of how you would like your footage prepared. You should state that you will be saving them money by doing so as you won't have to troubleshoot red frames issues which could still occur with raw .mxf files even in 8.2. Tell them turn around time will be faster, as well. They will listen to you when you speak their language (saving them time and money gets their attention quickly).
Im hoping adobe fixes this issue ASAP - i undestand that red frames are only an indicator of a bigger problem
All our fixes are in 8.2. Please create new projects in version 8.2, ingest the footage correctly, and you should have no trouble with red frames. If you do, please file a bug report and send me a PM.
This problem is making me consider converting all my footage to prores before import, thus turning my premiere pro cc in FCP 7.
That's certainly an alternative, but I'd try the method previously outlined before doing anything rash like transcoding. That said, certain cameras produce beautiful pictures but create files which perform poorly in Premiere Pro. I'm most frequently tempted to transcode Canon footage, as that gives my Mac Book Pro the most trouble.
    Hope this info helps.
    Thanks,
    Kevin
