Redeem Code PDF password

I just received the email with the redeem code PDF for mountain lion.  What password are they referring to when I go to open it?

You should have received a second email containing the password you will need to unlock the PDF containing the redemption code. If you can't find that email, you will have to get in touch with Apple and get them to send it again. Once you have unlocked the pdf and copied the code, you can launch the App Store, then select "Redeem" under Quick Links.

    When i try to download mountain lion with my redeem code i get an error message that claims that the code is faulty (Could not be identified as valid code). What may the problem be? I've copy pasted the code into the redeem page at appstore.

    made the same mistake...the instructions are unclear
    go to the email that has a pdf document at the bottom...it is a locked pdf...
    paste the long number into there....i think it says "password"...
    it opens aj 1 page pdf...that page has the number that you put in the redeem box...

  • HT201209 Logged in, but can't redeem codes?

    I have reset my Apple ID's password.  Logged out of Itunes, logged back in, no problem.  When I click "redeem code", it asks me to log in again, even though I am already logged in.  I enter my credentials.  Then, oddly enough, the log in window closes, then reopens, telling me to enter my log in credentials.  It doesn't say I entered in the wrong information or anything, it just tells me to log in again!
    Why?  I don't understand, it says I am logged in already, why can't I redeem a code?  It doesn't even let me try, it just goes straight back to the "Log in" screen.

    Not sure what you might be seeing. The login in the uppper right corner of the page is for Adobe.com. You also need to be signed into Forums (upper left side, just below the black Forums Banner). I'll check on the insert image button. It should be active.

  • Unable to redeem code error in configurator

    When installing an app purchased through the VPP onto an iPad using configurator it came up completed with error and unable to redeem code. I downloaded the spreadsheet again and reinstalled the app but it's now saying I have no codes left even though it is not installed on any device.

    Yeah, that's what I would try next... unsupervising and re-supervising. Note that if you have any existing data on your supervised iPad it will be wiped when you unsupervise it so back it up.
    Just to confirm... In iTunes, did you authorize iTunes to download apps with the same Apple ID as the one you used in Apple Configurator? Below is the workflow that you should be following to make it all work. I wrote this a while ago for an older version of AC, but the process is pretty much the same... thought you could go through it to make sure you've completed each step properly.
    If unsupervising and re-supervising doesn't work and if you've followed the correct workflow in the post below, my next step would be to call VPP for Education Support at 1-800-800-2775.

    First, go into iTunes and authorize with an Apple ID (iTunes -> Store -> Authroize this computer). It doesn't have to be a VPP Apple ID…just an ordinary Apple ID used to associate with the app. Then download the app(s). They will go to ~/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications. These apps will be linked to the Apple ID you authorized in iTunes. Next go into Apple Configurator and add the apps on the Prepare -> Apps screen. When you try to add the app in AC (clicking on the "+" at the bottom of the screen), you should be prompted to enter an Apple ID and password (see screenshot below).
    It will say that "This Apple ID will be used to redeem VPP codes…" It is NOT the Apple ID used to purchase the VPP codes… The VPP codes can be redeemed by any Apple ID.
    You must enter the same Apple ID and password that you used to download the app in iTunes, and you should be good to go.

    i've been trying to redeem my gift card and i keep getting the message "this apple id is disbled, cannot redeem codes" i tried resetting my password and everything. Whats wrong? Helpppp!

    Sorry but I don't.  This error happens all the time on PC when people try to create an iCloud account on their PC, but rarely happens on a Mac.  I recall reading a post once that going to System Preferences>Users & Groups and adding the ID (If not already there) solved this problem for someone, but I can't confirm that this works.  I guess you could try.

  • Can't redeem code

    Trying to redeem code, using windows 8.1, newext version of iTunes. When I click Redeem having entered code, it turns red with a message just beneath the code box  to set up 3 security questions [I have security question set up but it never asks these questions] and the login box appears. This repeats infinitely though I am logged in/log in and out correctly repeatedly. I've not tried to redeem codes before but have bought and downloaded without this problem, last time some months agao. restarting computer/resetting password/ uninstall and reinstall of iTunes all change nothing.
    There is an iTunes help page if you're repeatedly asked for password which gives bogus instructions, eg first step win8 says move cursor to upper right and open control panel - there is no option there for control panel. Etc

  • IWork Apps Won't Install from Redeem Codes

    I've had this issue on two separate iPads this morning with two different clients who are each using different Apple IDs.
    When given a redeem code to install Pages or Keynote, the iPad 2 (iOS 5.0.1) accepts the code in the App Store and says "Thank You for Redeeming Your Code", but it does not install the app.
    When you go to Purchased in the App Store, for the account of each person, it is there as an app that has been bought, but it has a cloud next to each app. When you tap the cloud to install it, the app briefly appears on the home screen (for a second or two) and then disappears. I have searched for the App in the App Store, and tapped Install, but it does the same thing. The app is not already installed on the device.
    There are no restrictions on the device to prevent app installations, the devices are not out of stroage space, and free apps will install on each of these two accounts, so why will the Pages and Keynote apps not install?

    I assume you have done the obvious and tested other DVDs to check if the problem is the disk or the drive?
    If the disk is OK you only need access to another Mac or a PC, which can create an .iso file, and a portable hard drive or USB key to hold the resultant file.

    Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
    Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
    Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
    LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

  • I sent gift movie, but recipient (on iPad) was asked for a code to redeem. Where is said redeem code, pray tell?

    I just sent a friend a gift movie. The recipient only has an iPad. He received an email about my gift via the email address linked to his  iTunes account. When he pressed the button in that email to get the movie, however, iTunes opened. He found a Redeem button iTunes. Pressing that button, a prompt for a redeem code appears. But there was no redeem code in the email he got. And I certaintly don't know what the code is (which seems like a flaw to me, but it's a minor flaw within a much more major one).
    I'm assuming the code is encoded in the button in the iTunes email, but obviously it didn't get transferred in a way that's usable for iTunes on an iOS device.
    So how the heck does my friend get the gift I bought?
    And I don't need a link to resend the gift. I've already done that with the dame results.
    There are plenty of articles on how to GIVE any number of gifts via iTunes, but not a one on how to REDEEM a gift.

    Apple store and ITunes is international so why wouldn't we be able to send a gift to anyone around the world? Music works across borders as well. Apparently ITunes really doesn't and this is not spelled out clearly when we make a purchase. The button works, the charge is on my account, but the gift can not be opened.

    No. Only apps purchased from the App Store can be re downloaded for free including updates.

    What you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, go here:

    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They will ask for a scan of the front and back sides of the card as well as a copy of the receipt
