REDEEMING GIFT CERTIFICATE-- LOST MUSIC! arrrgh

I see a similiar string but not precisely the same issue. Here goes!
I redeemed a gift certificate for the specific album that was gifted to me. I didn't remember my mac password right away and after a few tries, it asked me if I want help. I said 'no' and the download process did not complete (ie no new music in iTunes on my PC). I attempted passwd again and this time got it right... and went to redeem gift certificate again. This time, though-- it listed the goft cert code number and said it was already redeemed... and cannot be redeemed again. Well, I have searched both iTunes and on my PC (in general) and this album is definitely not on my computer. So iTunes store says I have it but I actually never completed the process... and now this music seems to be lost in limbo.
Any ideas here?? Am pulling my hair out over this (what little is left), I don't see anything like this listed in their online support, etc. Arrrgh!

My advice is to contact the iTunes store directly via their email support link. You can find this link when you're in iTunes and you click on the store and then the support link in the right-hand column. Pick a topic "lost music" or something similar and then at the bottom of this page will be an email link with your name and email address already filled in. Report your problem just as you've reported it here and see what they say.
As an aside, I also had a gift certificate that I tried to redeem but the song I wanted was no longer available. My account was charged $0.99. (They must take the money out before the song gets downloaded.) I decided it wasn't worth the effort to try to get back a $1 so I accepted the loss and moved on. A few days later, I'm happy to report, the $0.99 was credited back to my account. Apple discovered the mistake and corrected it without me having to do anything.

Thanks, this was the clue I needed to figure it out.
From Settings you can pull up Control Center.
In Control Center you can enable "Access from within Apps" (also "Access from Lockscreen")
Now when I'm playing music, I can swipe up from the bottom and a little control center window slides up. Neat - this is new since my old iPod. On this window, the name of the current Bluetooth connection appears. Tap on that, and a list of connected Bluetooth items appears. I just tap on the one I want to connect to and I am now playing through the speakers I want.

Redeeming gift certificates

I just recieved a gift certificate through email for the itunes store. But when i go to redeem it, i get a message saying itunes cant be found on my computer, even though its open right in front of me. And everytime i click the "i have itunes" option, i get "error on page" Any help would be much appriciated!

Verify your payment details.
Click Select Code or enter a redemption code and click "Redeem Code."
Click "Continue Checkout" to complete the payment.

I purchased an email gift certificate for my daughter and had it emailed to her;
she got the email with a PIN: XXXXX and a Gift Card Number: XXXXX
But she tries to redeem it and it says it is invalid.
I checked the amount on the certificate/Gift Card and is shows is has the 25$, how do I get it added to her iPad?

are you following these steps?
1) Open iTunes.
2) Under Quick Links on the right side of the iTunes window, click Redeem.
3) Paste the code in the Redeem Code ﬁeld and click Redeem.
I dont think it doesnt matter even if you send it to her default email because you still have to enter the code to redeem it.
If you are still unable to redeem it, try contacting iTunes Support. Then can surely assist you with this and it will only take a few minutes.

ITunes Gift Certificates Non-Redeemable!

I can't figure out where else to ask about this -- but I cannot redeem my gift certificate because when I go to the link at the bottom of the iTunes page I get some terrible janky undefined site.
Try it out for yourselves just incase my computer will load every other page on the internet except for that one. lol.

I found the problem. This website hates firefox. lol. I used I.E and the link on the page worked fine. I even tried disableing pop up blocking in firefox, but I don't really think that opening iTunes is considered a pop up, and it didn't work anyway.
So there you have it -- if you want to redeem your gift certificates -- I hope you haven't deleted internet explorer out of spite yet, because you'll be sorry.

Cant seem to buy music with a gift certificate on itunes

i recieved an itunes gift certificate recently an now i am tryin to buy some music off itunes an i cant seem to figure out how to use it atall!!!

First make sure that you are logged into your iTunes account in the iTunes Store. There is a Sign In button located at the upper right if you haven't. If you don't have an account, press the Sign In and make one (its very easy). Go under "Quick Links" there is a redeem link. Scratch to reveal the code on the card. Insert that code (caps lock needed). That's all. You'll see the credit next to your Apple ID. afterwards. Buy anything you want, just click "buy" and your gift card credit will be deducted.

Gift certificate "redeem now" doesn't

I received a gift certificate on Christmas eve, today when I tried to redeem it, at first I got a message that said the music store was not available now, and later all I got was this message:
"Not Found
The requested URL /WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/com.apple.jingle.app.finance.DirectAction/showDial ogForRedeem was not found on this server.

Is this just a temporary problem or is it something I should worry about? I want my music!!!

I recently bought a £15 ituens gift card for my partner. Since she is not too savvy with itunes, I went on to her account to redeem it for her. I scratched off the panel and entered the code into the correct box on itunes and was told "the gift certificate or card you have entered has already been redeemed".
I took the card back to Morrisons Supermarket in Guiseley where I had bought it and was told that since Morrisons only sell gift cards on behalf of iTunes and receive a commission, that they could do nothing and I had to take the problem up with iTunes.
Well, dealing with iTunes is no easy thing. I finally found what I thought was the right area on the website and was directed to send an email. I did this, but the chap I got through to seemed to think I had a problem with my iTunes software or that I didn't know how to redeem the card. I tried my best - over several emails - to get through to him that the problem was with the gift card code and that they may have been hacked. It would be very easy for them to find out that a) I wasn't the one who had redeemed the code and b) who the culprit was due to the fact they would know whose iTunes account the code had been credited to. I got nowhere, the chap sent me a link to "account security" and told me to phone them even though it was not possible to get a phone number from the link he sent me.
So, I got back in touch with Morrisons customer complaints and basicaaly told them that as far as I was concerned they were selling faulty goods on behalf of another company and that they should at least try and help me out with iTunes. I have since received an email from Morrisons asking for all the details of the card so they can look into it. iTunes - meanwhile - have stopped replying to my emails and I am now being completely ignored by them.
Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know where I stand and how I can either get my money back or get the funds put on to my partners iTunes account?

Not likely you'll get a "history" but Apple should be able to resolve the problem.

Is the store that you bought the card from nearby so that you can try going back and asking if they can activate the card properly ? If it's not, or if they can't/won't activate, then you will need to do as the message says and contact iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes (you will probably need to give them images of the front and back of the card, and possibly its receipt)
