Redemption Code for Lion

A friend purchased a MacbookPro with in the time frame to receive Lion free. Her out of town son thinks she should get Lion (I think because it would be free). I'm not so sure (old programs that might not be compatible - she is not all that comfortable with computers and I don't see her using any of the new features). Their other computer is an original Mac Mini (PowerPc still with Tiger installed) .
I'm trying to get her to hold off on updating.
Question is if she gets the redemption code how long would it be good for?

Thanks - can't upgrade the mini anyway as it isn't Intel.

Received redemption code for Server instead of Mountain Lion

I was one of the lucky ones who got a redemption code which had already been used.
I waited patiently for a new code and just received it. Unfortunately, they sent out a redemption code for OS X Server instead of Mountain Lion.
When I redeemed the code, I got the message that I couldn't donwload the product because it requires OS 10.8. So now I'm stuck with software I don't need and can't get the software I want.
I think that Apple iTunes fulfillment group is in a rush and people are making sloppy mistakes.

I just got a new code for Mountain Lion. Oddly enough, I still have OS X server listed in my purchases. I think it's an evil plot to get me to buy a Mac mini.

I'm trying to import a spreadsheet of redemption codes into Apple Configurator. I download the spreadsheet directly from https://vpp.itunes.apple.com, but when I try to import it, I get the following message:

What can I do to import it?

I've got support from Apple Germany. It seems to be a problem of version 1.1.2 of Apple Configurator and Mountain Lion 10.8.2
As mentioned above I had the same problem using 10.7.4 and 10.7.5 and Configurator 1.1.2. Apple Germany sent me a different spreadsheet, where I've put my codes in and it worked. Strange but true.
Other story, I bought 50 redeem codes, after installing 22 iPads it stopped, telling me that there are no more redeem codes left ?

On October 27th 2014, you have purchased two CC (one complete &one photography) under the same Adobe ID. That is the reason you are being asked for a code because under one Adobe ID only one CC can be activated(twice).
Please contact Adobe Support or you can inbox me privately the CC order number that you would like to cancel.
You can also check if the host file has Adobe entry or not as if Adobe entries are there then also CC can ask for serial number. You can check the host by the followinh method.
Creative cloud do not need a serial number. it will be using your Adobe ID on which you have purchased the creative cloud membership.
So you need to login with your Adobe ID and password to activate the cloud membership.
Log out & log back in of the CC Desktop App.
In case it is not signing in successfully please try the following:
I don't know which operating system you are working on so i am giving you some steps windows and MAC OS:
   Windows:
   In windows 7 navigate to following location:
     /windows/system32/drivers/etc
   1. look out for "Hosts" file
   2. Open it with notepad
   3. Check if you have any entry for Adobe
   4. Remove the entries and try again launching any product from CC
Mac:
   1. Please click on "Go" and navigate to /private/etc
   2. Open "hosts" file and check out for any entries for Adobe.com
   3. Remove the entries and save the file
   4. try again launching any product from CC

Do you have these codes because this will be your app? Or is this a "loan" from the school to install on your machine? Do you use your own Apple ID to redeem the code and install the app?
If it is your app, then you may install it on as many Macs as you own or have in your control.

I have sent a message (hopefully given the absolute user unfriendly interface for any problems) to the Order folks. If they don't reply, i will cancel the credit card charge. If you're still unable to redeem your code after verifying the characters in the code, you'll need to contact iTunes Store Support for help. You'll need to provide a digital image of the front and back of the gift card as well as the sales receipt for the purchase of the gift card.

I have a brand new Macbook Pro 15" 2.2 GHz, and was purchased within the up-to-date OSX Lion free upgrade period.
I use my mac primarily for basic things: Web, music, socialising. If some more advanced programs wont work on Lion yet i'm not really concerned. I do most of my serious business on my beast mode PC

My redemption code for OS X Mountain Lion does not work. It claims it is not a valid code.

I purchased my MacBook Pro on August 2nd and it did not have the new software installed. I went to the website to redeem my code but everytime I tried to redeem the code in the App Store it said it was invalid. I e-mailed Apple back for a new redemption code and the same thing happened. Both of the content codes are not valid. Am I doing something wrong?

I thinks so. You get 2 emails. You use the code from the one to unlock the redeem code from the other, then you enter that unlocked code into the redeem field.

Can I use the redemption code for more than one machine for Photoshop Elements?

I want to use the Photoshop Elements that I bought on more than one machine. Is that
possible using the Redemption Code? It says it was used with another Adobe ID.

Hi Stover,
Typically you use the redemption code to retrieve your serial number for Elements products. The licensing for Elements allows the owner to install on two of their computers.
