Is it possible to configured the DNS of my E4200 to return a specific configured IP instead of actually go out and resolve it? So for example: www.google.com should return 192.168.1.1

Please follow this procedure for the input tax codes which experience
the error F4341:
1) Go to SE16 and enter table T007A
2) Hit enter and in the next screen choose the following parameters
   and enter values that represent the tax code for input tax which are
   encountering the problem.
   KALSM (tax procedure)
   MWSKZ (tax code)
3) Click on the "execute" button.
4) Take special attention to column MWART which represents tax type.
   This should only have a value "V" to represent input tax (or "A" if
   output tax).
5) The cause of the error F4 341 is when this column does not contain
   any value or is blank. Which means that there is no defined tax type
   "A" or "V" maintained in customizing.
6) To correct this you should maintain the value again via FTXP for the
   corresponding tax codes and complete all the customizing settings
   relating to tax on sales and purchases thereunder. Afterwhich you
   should no longer experience the error message.

Redirecting domain to prosite

I have a site i pushed live with bc in muse and now want my domain to be my prosite website through behance and I must be doing something wrong. I added my custom domain name I went to BC and tried to redirect but it is not working. I check the staus on prosite and it says error, the domain is pointed to some other IP. I do not understand what info is required in what fiel under what drop down menu. I am admittedly a novice, so any spelled out help, like I was in kindergarten, would be most appreciated. Thank you. BC is not a domain host. If you no longer want your domain to point to your BC site and to something else you need to delete your domains in your BC site and go to your domain registra and change the NS records or A-record (depends on which was set up) and point that to your new sites required details

How to redirect domain controller address to another one without changing IP Helper

Hi All
Basically we have been told that our domain controller's address is going to change, we have many switches 200+ that have the current address as the IP Helper address. The topology is basically a core 6509 that goes out to approx 45 distribution switches 3560s that then have multiple access switches hanging off 3560s, 2950s and 2960s. There are also many workstations that have the domain controllers IP statically assigned.
My question is is there a way that this server can be decomisioned and replaced with a new one with a different IP without having to change all of the devices IP Helper address static DNS etc. but to just redirect requests for that address to another at a higher level? Like say the core receives requests for the old IP and redirects requests to the new address? We have tried suggesting they keep the same IP for the new server but it's not going to happen.

You can use NAT to do that. Be careful though because that is really a band-aid and not a resolution to the problem.

Redirecting domain name

Sorry people, this whole stuff with domains, DNS, A-Records etc. is very cryptic...
My Problem:
I own the domain "designformat.de". Host was the german company "1&1.de". I built the side with Muse now and published it on BC (CC-Membership). I made a redirection for the domain name to BC. It works, but the url shown is "designformat01.businesscatalyst.com. How do I change this into "designformat.de" ?

Using a frame redirection is probably not the most effective ways to redirect your domain to Business Catalyst. You should call up 1&1 and tell them that you want to remove your "frame redirection" and add an A record pointing to "54.246.209.120" for your "www" and naked domains.
Once you do this, login to BC and add your custom domain name under Site Settings > Site Domains > Add New Domain
When adding your domain, make sure to check "Use an external server" and if you want your custom domain to be the main domain for the site, click the "Default" checkbox too, making it the default domain/URL for your BC site.
Adding frame redirection might be easier but you'll see some hits in your SEO for sure.

Redirecting Domain & Uploading Changes through Muse

My site is hosted in business catalyst, but my domain is with GoDaddy. I keep redirecting my A records and Nameservers but the site appears then later is saying it's temporarily unavilable. Addtional to this, when the site does load on and off I try to upload changes and Muse says it is successful but days later nothing will have changed.

Please clarify domain.sites/domain.sites2 fix

I've seen two different versions of applying this fix:
1) Rename your domain.sites file to domain.sites2, then open the file.
2) Just open the domain.sites file without renaming.
From browsing the blogs, it appears that this doesn't work for everyone. Just wondering if how you do this makes any dfference.

I have to apologize, but I just seem to be getting more confused about this issue. I do appreciate the responses, both in this thread and others. Perhaps clarifying my situation will help.
My upgrade to iWeb08 appeared to be successful (my domain file is shown as domain.sites2). However, I use a third party template and soon discovered that iWeb2 does not support any third party templates that were written for iWeb1. So I lost those templates. That is being rectified by the developer of the template. New templates for iWeb2 are in beta testing.
My site appears intact except for a few things. On blog and podcast pages, no entries appear. However, the entries are intact. No entries appear on archive pages as well. On photo pages I'm missing a "play slideshow" button, which was replaced by "play slideshow" and "subscribe" texts on a different part of the page. All my pages that started as blank pages are just fine.
I was hoping that opening my old iWeb1 domain.sites file would correct those few things mentioned above, so that my site in iWeb2 will appear as it did before the upgrade. I have not published anything since upgrading.
When I get my new templates, I will probably go about rebuilding the entire site, and then publish that new site.
So am I really in a position where I need to do this fix at all?

DrillDown in ALV for fixed values of domains

i want to create an ALV Grid with an structure that has data elements with domains containing fixed values.
As far as i know, in Table Controls and other dynpro fields refering to such domains, the drilldown function is automatically available.
In an ALV-Grid the values are available with the F4-Button.
Ok, you can select a value, but the value is shown in the grid is the fixed value not the short text of the value like it is in Table Controls. What I did is to implement an conversion exit to show the short text in the grid, but I am not really satisfied.
What I ask you: Is there a possability to show a field of the ALV-Structure with drilldown functionality automatically, when the domain has fixed values?

Hi Michael,
I think I have found the solution to your problem. When you call the method SET_DROP_DOWN_TABLE of the ALV Grid, you can see that there are two tables parameters (both of which are optional).
You can use the second tables parameter to give the short text of your field-value.
Consider the following code snippet.

EEWB - Display Domain Fixed values

Hi Guys,
We have a field added to CRMD_ORDER using EEWB. A data element with a domain having fixed values was used while creating this field. This custom field is displayed with no issues. But now the user wants the fixed value to be displayed next to the selected value. Anyone have any idea how this can be achieved? We are thinking of a adding an output only field on the screen and then filling the value to it. But this need some custom coding to be done. Not sure if we can do this custom coding anywhere in the generated code of EEWB.
Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

For the EEWB fields for the CRMD_ORDER.....you need to implement BADI's for filling up the values....and also to meet your requirement.
you need to tell the in which set you created the field like customer_h, customer_i......or whatever. according to that there are BADI's to fill up the values and display them.

I actually had the same problem: I have one oracle instance (11gXE2) with Glassfish and the APEX Listener. I'm hosting different applications (in different workspaces) on this instance. The whole configuration is accessible by one fixed IP adres from the internet. I further have several domains (and sub-domains) mapped to this one IP. To ensure that a request for www.d1.com is routed to Application1 and www.d2.com to Application2 I wrote a smal plsql-"proxy (or multiplexer) using the OWA_UTIL.get_cgi_env ('HOST') variable to determine the requested domain and then redirect to an application that belongs to it.
The configuration I have stored in a table, for matching I use LIKE patterns:

Grant execute on this procedure to the APEX_PUBLIC_USER, create a public synonym on it and make sure all requests without a path get redirected to it, for example with a simple index.html containing a redirect to "/apex/redirect":

Enabling SAML V2 redirection to target application

I have been facing to issues for which I cannot find any relevant information. I have been trying to enable SSO SAML 2 on our SAP Netweaver Platform and I am not able to configure everything.
I followed the step by step implementation described here:

The only difference lays in the fact that the provider is an external one and not hosted by NW.
The SAML V2 is activated and the SAML backbone of my customer redirects to the endpoint URL I gave for a test (our java portal address). So this is more or less fine.
But my business case is different as redirecting to a fixed URL: I want to allow any user to run any BEx queries to be authenticated via SAML 2 backbone and to be redirected to the initially targetted query.
Meaning:
A user is accessing the following URL:
http://<server_name>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=<query_id>
The actual situation: the user is getting redirected to the SSO backbone and back to the endpoint I gave meaning:
http://<server_name>/irj/portal
What I would like to have as a behaviour is to:
1- the user request any URL hosted on our Java (it can be BEx query as well as a Web Dynpro application called)
2- he is getting authenticated by the SSO Backbone and redirected to the original URL
I am not an admin and it is hard for me to find the relevant information.

although an answer to my question was provided it doesn't really solve the problem because in order to be able to get the patch that fixes the flaw it requires as described at the bottom of the page of My Oracle Support website that "This site is intended solely for use by authorized Oracle customers, partners, and employees."
I'm not currently part of any of this groups so access to such resources is denied for me. So, i would kindly request from someone to explain to me the purpose of this kind of policy. Oracle Apex and Oracle Database XE are suppossed to be free products. Why are patches of discovered bugs on these products require special privileges to access them ? I say this because now i have to wait for several weeks or even months for the next release of APEX to be able to continue my study.
I would really love to hear a comment on this issue.

Redirecting traffic based on source address on CSS11503

Hi all,
I need to redirect HTTP traffic originating from a specific range of IPs to a specific farm of HTTP servers. More specifically, I need request comming to CSS's outside VIP address on port 80/tcp to be redirected to the HTTP farm (2 boxes with RFC1918 addresses) on port 30084/tcp.
The trick is that this rule should only apply for a certain range of source IP addresses. The rest should be content switched normally. I.e. 80/tcp -> 80/tcp, etc.
Is this possible with ACL or somthing similar?
I'm running WebNS 7.20 on a CSS11503.

you could create a 2nd VIP like x.x.x.x:81 and
a service like
service redirect
domain x.x.x.x:81

Under the Vip x.x.x.x:81, you configure the 2 services with private ip addresses and port 30084.
Then you create an ACL
acl 10
clause 10 permit tcp destination content prefer redirect
clause 99 permit any any destination any
apply circuit-VLAN...
Don't forget you will need an ACL permit any any on all other interfaces to avoid blocking the rest of the traffic.
What this will do is tell the browser to close the current connection to vip:80 and reopen a new one to vip:81 and this will be loadbalanced to the private servers.

My client does not have rights to update Domain's values manually, so i've created transaction which allows such action, but i have a problem when users try to use that value, system prompt to change it because this value is illegal (doesn't exit, but DD07T tables has it). i 've tryed different update combinations:

With your code also, the values are getting updated but the domain is not adjusted and reactivated. Check the version management, there you can see a new TR under your name.
When you use FM 'DDIF_DOMA_PUT' the system will add the entries, but the domain will not get adjusted. So you need to use another FM 'DDIF_DOMA_ACTIVATE' to get the values.
Please have a look into the below code and adjust accordingly your code.

HTTP redirects

Hi,
I want to configure http to https redirects on CCS 11501. Could someone guide me on how to implemet HTTPS redirect for a sub-directory.
Say I have www.xyz.com by default it goes to http, which is fine. But if someone types in http://www.xyz.com/login or http://www.xyz.com/login/secure/index.html then it should be redirected to httpS://www.xyz.com/login or http://www.xyz.com/login/secure/index.html. Basically anything in and under login directory should be HTTPS.

Your getting a redirect loop because you do not have an alternate port were the redirected traffic can be processed. The inbound request that contains "/login" will get redirected to the HTTPS equivalent however with your current configuration the connection will simply fall under the same redirect content rule and you will never resolve content correctly(redirect loop).

Update the ssl-proxy-list with an alternate port to send the decrypted traffic too.
ssl-server 1 cipher all-cipher-suites 10.1.1.1 81
I chose port 81 as the alternate decrypted port, however you can choose any other port. Please be sure that your servers are setup to accept traffic on that alternate port as well. If not, you can simply setup a NAT rule and hardset the destination port on the services to port 80. This will allow the CSS to re-write the destination port to port 80 when the decrypted traffic gets sent to the alternate port 81 content rule.

Skipping domain errors in editable ALV

Hi Gurus,
Have a concern wrt an editable ALV.
I have an editable ALV in which a field's(Chain ID is the name of the field) domain has
fixed intervals. The fixed interval is defined as:
T000000000 TZZZZZZZZZ
S000000000 SZZZZZZZZZ
Which means that the values for this field can start only with T or S. In the ALV, for this
field I may have blank values getting displayed. If I enter a valid value in the ALV then
its ok but when I delete the same value the ALV protocol shows an error 'Enter a valid
value'. The system is interpreting the value to be 'entered' in the ALV as 'space' as its
not valid as per the fixed intervals. BUt this actually should not happen because I am just
undoing my change. Can anyone suggest a way so that this validation is skipped and the ALV thus can accept initial value?

Skipping processing of the chain block will not stop the message from coming as the message is raised from the domain level. If you mean that among other things I need to delete that message from the protocol then in that case the changed value strangely does not get deleted. It comes back to the value which has been put before deleting it...
