Redirect from port 80 to 50000

Can someone point me at some sample code or documentation to show how calls on Port 80 (internet) can be redirected to port (port 50000) without problems in things like dynamic menu.  Assume portal EP6 stack 09.
Thanks

Run the Web Dispatcher.  This URL can help you out.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f5/51c7d170bc4a98b1b5a0339213af57/frameset.htm
The easiest way to config the Web Dispatcher is to run sapwebdisp -bootstrap at which point it will ask the following:
Message server hostname
HTTP Port of the message server: Which is 81 system number of the SCS
System Number for the Web Dispatcher: Pick a number your not using
HTTP Port of the Web Dispatcher: You would want port 80 but you can set it to anything.
I have been using this for EP 6.0 SR1 and I have not had a problem.

  • How to do a PortForward/Port Proxy? Redirecting traffic from port 8080 to 80 on the SAME machine

    We have a CFTV system running on Win2008R2 that listens on 4 sequential port numbers and the last port is the Web Browser Port number for management and viwing cameras
    When we configure the port 8077 on the software, it opens 8077, 8078, 8079 and 8080 and works with no problem
    But...
    When we try to configure ports 77 (and therefore 77, 78, 79 and 80) thw applications hangs and seems like not be possible to configure to use port 80
    I could confirm that,  using NETSTAT and the main CFTV application open all required ports with no problem, but only works on ports with a different number from "80", wich is what i want, to make users more confortable, avoiding to type ":PORT_NUMBER"
    after the URL, it will be more "ellegant" solution to use default port 80 for user´s connections
    The question is: How to do a PortForward/Port Proxy? Redirecting traffic from port 8080 to 80 on the SAME machine?
    May i Use NETSH? (based on Help, it can be used to do this, but on different machines, not the same one)
    There is a RELIABLE application, running as a service, that can do the port forward/redirect?

    Hi,
    I’m sorry to tell you that we can’t redirect traffic from a port to another port on the same server itself. But we can do it with a router which is configured to portfoward.
    By the way, according to your description, another program may use the port 80. Is there an IIS installed on the server? If it is necessary, you can consult your CFTV system vendor.
    Hope this helps.

  • I am trying to setup to secure a redirect public port to a private port

    I i am trying to setup to secure a redirect public port to a private port to a Microsoft server exchange
    A user coming from the outside(Untrusted security level 0) will connect to IIS server in the DMZ(Trusted security level 50) with a port 443 to a PIX 515 , the IIS server has a application called Detour Service(Service transparently reroutes any TCP connection from one IP Port to any other IP Port) will initiate a connection to Microsoft server exchange to the inside(trusted security level 100).
    Do you think it is the right solution I term of security?yes or no, are do you have a better solutution
    Thanks
    User port destination 443(outside)>>>>>> IIS server port destination 9999(DMZ)>>>>>>>>>>> Microsoft server exchange(inside)

    Actually the connection from lower security level to higher security level is blocked. You can apply an access list to limit traffic from inside to outside, or allow traffic from outside to inside. For transparent firewall mode, you can also apply an EtherType access list to allow non-IP traffic.

  • SolMan 7.1 SPS 11 - deactivate redirect from HTTP to HTTPS

    Hi Gurus,
    I am currently experiencing the case, that I can't call HTTP pages anymore.
    Before I made the check described under SOLMAN_SETUP -> System Preparation -> 2. Check Installation -> Manual Activities -> Check Secure Web Browser Comm. (HTTPS) I was able to call SOLMAN_SETUP with HTTP and SSO worked (starting the Browser by calling transaction SOLMAN_SETUP in GUI).
    After I have executed the check, I have changed nothing but to execute the check and make sure there is a working HTTPS service.
    Now I am experiencing the case that if I start transaction SOLMAN_SETUP I get a browser call HTTPS. If I change the protocol and the port to HTTP it jumps directly to HTTPS. This behavior makes me think that some configurations steps have activated a force redirect from HTTP to HTTPS.
    This specially gives me some headache because all other (satellite)-systems are not configured to use secured communication and the certificates are not rolled out.
    Currently I can't afford the need to roll out certificates all over the landscape.
    To buy me some more time:
    How can I check if my feeling about the redirect is correct?
    If there is a redirect, how can I disable this so that I can work with HTTP-URLs?
    I appreciate your help.
    Kind regards,
    Niklas Theis

    Hi Niklas,
    Perhaps this note can give You a little hint how to reverse to the HTTP setting again:
    1716999 - Enable HTTPS for Solution Manager web service communications
    Also check and adjust if necessary the setting for the webservice  “wd_sise_main_app”: Change the setting to “Switch to HTTP”.
    In addtion to that You also might look into:
    - the ACL file; if any block against HTTP has been setup

    Is there a way to forward requests from ports other than 80 to the proxy address? For example, trying to define a rule to forward the requests from port 8080 to proxy_ip...
    Best regards,

    Hi Emre,
    Have you looked into using ipfilter port redirecting ?
    It may depend on your configuration.
    /etc/ipf/ipf.conf
    pass in quick from any to any port = 8080 keep state
    pass out quick from any port = 8080 to any keep state
    /etc/ipf/ipnat.conf

  • Redirect from one ADF SSO application to another ADF application

    Dear All
    I've 3 ADF application developed which have 3 different context roots
    1. /XXXXView (http://<server>:<port>/XXXXView/)
    2. /YYYYView (http://<server>:<port>/YYYYView/)
    3. /ZZZZView (http://<server>:<port>/ZZZZView/)
    Without ADF security being implemented I could redirect from one application to other using below code:
    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ExternalContext ectx = ctx.getExternalContext();
    ectx.redirect("/YYYYView");
    Then I implemented ADF security in /XXXXView application and also protected the application in OAM (the port changed to <ssoport> and the new URL is http://<server>:<ssoport>/XXXXView/). After implmenting ADF security the rediection from /XXXXView to other applications stopped working and gave the below error.
    IllegalStateException: Response already committed
    Thinking one ADF secure application might not redirect to another non ADF secure application, I also implmented ADF security in /YYYYView. But no luck. Still redirection didn't work.
    Even I tried using the below code after following the blog (http://adfdeveloper.blogspot.in/2011/07/adf-auto-redirect-while-still-passing.html)
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ViewHandler vh = fctx.getApplication().getViewHandler();
    UIViewRoot viewToRender = vh.createView(fctx, url);
    fctx.setViewRoot(viewToRender);
    fctx.renderResponse();
    Still redirection didn't work. It will be of great help if anyone can help me resolving this issue.

    Hi,
    we just installed podcast server and also installed the certificates. Browsing, https://podcast.localhost works fine.
    What I want is if someone tries to open, http://podcast.localhost, i want all this traffic to be redirected to https://podcast.localhost
    How do i do this at the server level by manipulating apache or whatever files ??

    I'm trying to redirect from http to https. I have the sites set up, one on port 443 and the other on port 80. I added a redirect on the port 80 site as follows:
    Redirect / https://podcasttest.ucmo.edu
    This works for http://podcasttest.ucmo.edu, but not for any sub domains, like http://podcasttest.ucmo.edu/groups (this does not get redirected to https).

  • How to pass on variables while redirecting from BSP to HTML  page.

    Hi all,
    I have two BSP pages - BSP1, BSP2.  When I click a submit button on BSP1, it should call BSP2 wherein BSP2 will work silently behind the scenes and redirect some variable values through hidden form fields to BSP1 back.
    User will not see BSP2 in fact.  He just deals with BSP1, but when he clicks the submit button on BSP1, it silently calls BSP2, and then BSP2 will process something behind the scenes and sends back values through hidden form fields to BSP1 by means of redirection. After redirection from BSP2 to BSP1, I am not getting the hidden fields in BSP1.  From the BSP1, I am trying to get the hidden fields of BSP1 using:
    Here is how my code in BSP2 (redirecting to BSP1) looks like:
    <b>BSP2 : Layout:</b>
    <input type="hidden" name="hf1" value="vicky">
    <b>BSP2 : OnInitialization:</b>
      response->redirect( url_BSP1 ).
      navigation->response_complete( ).
    But when I am doing this, the hidden form fields from BSP2 are not being passed to BSP1 back.
    I am trying to get the form values <b>in BSP1</b> as below:
    <b>BSP1 : Layout:</b>
       <%
       data:  hfield type string.
       hfield = request->get_form_field('hf1').
       %>
    I even tried the above code in onRequest, and onInitialization sections.  But I am getting nothing.
    Please give me some ideas on how to deal with the redirection and get the hidden values out of that.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers,
    Vicky.

    Hi,
    There are different ways to do it, but let's pick this one. It closes the popup. If you need additional things to be done, you can make a form with all hidden fields, submit that form, do the same close and do whatever you need in the inputprocessing
    <html>
      <head>
    <title>title</title>
          <script language="javascript">
              function init() {
              <%if count eq 1.%>
                  opener.document.form.F<%=field%>.value = '<%=value.%>';
              close();
             <%else.%>
          <%endif.%>
          </script>
      </head>
      <body onLoad="init();">

  • How can I write to port C and read from port A&B simultaneously using 6503 DIO-24

    I attempting to read from Port A and B which are grouped together and at the same time I want to write to Port C. The problem I having now is that every time I want to read from Port A and B, Port C seems to be effected. I have only used the easy dio's vi this may be the root of my prblem

    Hello,
    You will need to use the advanced digital VIs to accomplish what you are trying to do.
    The Easy DIO VI's are simply a combination of two DIO advanced VI, so you will use the same two advanced VI with a little different calling method. We want to call both PORT Config VI first to configure two ports for read and one port for write. Then we can simply read and write to the ports as desired, perhaps in a loop.
    The best place to start would be to look at the LabVIEW examples for Digital Input and Output operations. In LabVIEW, go to Search Examples then under I/O interfaces select DAQ (or Data Acquisition)-> Digital Input and Output->Immediate Digital Input and Output. From her you will want to look at the examples under the 8255 chip which is the chip on
    the DIO-24. I would recommend looking at Read from two digtial ports and the Write to one digital port VI's.
    From here you will simply need to combine the two together. One note: you will want to make sure that both port config VI are called before either Port Read or Port Write VIs.

    Starting in Firefox 14, Firefox will guess an address and place it in the address bar (AutoFill feature). If you have ever connected to the site using a secure (HTTPS) connection, then Firefox will try to connect security to the address suggested by the AutoFill feature. To work around this you can:
    * Edit the address to force Firefox to interpret your entry literally. For example, if there is a trailing / you can remove it.
    * Turn off the URL bar AutoFill feature and just use the AutoSuggest drop-down.
    * Clear Firefox's memory of the site so it doesn't default to a secure connection (however, this also removes any bookmarks you have to pages on the site).
    To disable the in-address-bar autofill without losing the suggestions that appear below the bar:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''autofill''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click '''browser.urlbar.autoFill''' to toggle it from true to false. You're done with about:config and you can close this tab.
    "Forget about this site" will clear cache, history, bookmarks, and permissions for the site, and probably any saved certificate. There are two ways to get to this:
    * History > Show All History, right-click an entry for the site > "Forget about this site"
    * Type or paste about:permissions in the address bar and press Enter, then select the site from the list on the left side, and click the "Forget about this site" button on the right side
    Depending on the size of your history and cache, this may lock Firefox up for a minute or two while everything is cleansed.

  • Getting URL redirects from Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" Search

    Hello all! I'm working on my final project for my intermediate programming class but I've hit a bit of a snag. This project is a "do whatever interests you, as long as it incoporates what we've learned this semester" type of project. (My personal favorite type of programming project!) I have a significant amount of code already complete, but here's my problem:
    To put it simply, my program:
    1) Takes a list of movie names
    2) Gets the movie poster from Wikipedia
    3) Saves the poster images to a folder
    4) Creates an HTML file, so I can see a visual representation of every movie on the list (btw, how do you like my idea?).
    I'm using (what I think to be) a very clever system of searching with Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" search (using detailed search terms such as "air+force+one+movie+wikipedia" that will, more than likely, always take me to the right page (if it exists))...
    Basically, my getPic(String url) method is now throwing an exception when I try to search the page that Google redirects me to, and I'm guessing it might be because the code is trying to search the "I'm Feeling Lucky" redirect page, instead of the page it is supposed to redirect to.
    I get the following error:
    10000 BC
    A connection to http://www.google.com/search?btnI=1&q=10000+bc+movie+wiki could not be established.
    java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 403 for URL: http://www.google.com/search?btnI=1&q=10000+bc+movie+wiki

         at MovieList.makeMovieList(MovieList.java:109)
         at MakeMovieList.main(MakeMovieList.java:13)(Etc, with all the movies giving the same exception.)
    If my guess is correct, could someone please inform me on how to either:
    a) Follow the redirection from Google to the Wikipedia page or
    b) Obtain the URL which the Google search will redirect me to.
    Preferably b, so I can program it not to need to recreate each movie search every time the program runs.
    Or if you have another idea of what it could be, please feel free to make suggestions.
    Thanks a lot,
    Derek

    When I tried printing the source of, for example, http://www.google.com/search?btnI=1&q=10000+bc+movie+wiki it gave me the source code to the Wikipedia 10,000 BC page with no errors at all.
    Does this mean that it could be something wrong in my code and not Google?
    Here is the code I'm using in the particular section that throws an exception:
          * Gets the image address of a movie poster from Wikipedia via
          * parsing the passed-in URL.
          * @param url The website address (URL) of a Wikipedia article containing a movie poster.
          * @return The first occurrence, in "picture_name.jpg" format, of an
          * image whose address contains "http://" and ".jpg".
    public String getPic(String url) {
              try {
                   URL connection = new URL(url);
                   InputStream in = connection.openStream();
                   Scanner console = new Scanner(in);
                   while(console.hasNext()) {
                        String temp = console.next();
                        if(temp.contains("http://") && temp.contains(".jpg")) {
                             String temp2 = temp.replace("src", "").replace("=", "").replace("\"", "");
                             return temp2;
              catch(IOException e) {
              System.out.println("A connection to " + url + " could not be established.");
              e.printStackTrace();

  • Re-routing of SNMP traps from port 162 to port greater than 1024

    Hello,
    I have to re-route SNMP traps received at port 162 to some other port greater that 1024 (say 2041). There is an application which sends SNMP traps to port 162 and our application running on Windows listens for SNMP traps on port 2041, so we want
    to route/forward the traps internally from port 162 to 2041.
    I have been looking at the rules defined in 'Windows Firewall with advanced security' but not able to succeed. I noticed that there is a predefined rule for SNMP traps but it does not give me an option to forward the trap to another port. I tried
    creating a new rule but that also does not give me an option to change the port.
    Please help.

    Hi,
    According to Technet Library:
    SNMP uses the default UDP port 161 for general SNMP messages and UDP port 162 for SNMP trap messages. If these ports are being used by another protocol or service, you can change the settings by modifying the local Services file on the agent. The Services
    file is located in \ % SystemRoot %\System32\Drivers\Etc
    There is no file name extension. You can use any text - based editor to modify the file. The management system must also be configured to listen and send on the new ports.
    Caution:
    If you have previously configured IP security to encrypt SNMP messages on the default ports, you must also update the IP security policy with the new port settings. Otherwise, communication can be erroneously blocked or SNMP communications might not be secured.
