Redirect website...

Hi!
I'd like to have my soon to be former domain re-direct
automatically to a new domain/new website/design whenever someone
goes to the old site.
For just a redirect is it only the domain name registration I
need to keep up? I can dump the old hosting, correct?
Now, what sort of HTML are we looking at here? Say if it's
for Windows Server and out of curiosity for if its Linux also?
Where would the code go if no more hosting available -- would
I have to add it into my domain account remotely?
thanks!

Have the old domain point to the new host servers the same as
the new domain
does. Then ask your new hosts to bring the old domain up as
an alias to the
new domain.

  • How do I reset Business Catalyst log-on after redirecting website to Google Sites?

I am trying to log into my Business Catalyst account after moving my website to google sites - the BC login tries to go to the new website instead of logging into a business Catalyst dashboard.
All I want to do is to make sure the Business Catalyst account is closed and files are deleted - but can't get to it.

Is the user logging out or is the internet disconnecting after 15 minutes?
If the user is logging out go to System Preferences > Security and there is an option to log-out after a specified time period inactive, uncheck that box.

  • G580 WIFI Problem ONLY at school (redirected website for wifi password)

    Hi all,
    I recently purchased a lenovo G580 laptop; windows 8
My laptop wifi works perfectly when I am at home or connected to any normal wifi.
It does not work when I am at school which typically once you connect to the school's wifi, it opens up a web broweser asking for your usename and password to get compelte access. (figure 1- from my other laptop)
My lenovo laptop cannot download this website, therefore I have no internet access at school since I cannot put my information inside. (figure 2- from lenovo laptop)
The problem is not my school's router because I have wifi connection on my other laptop here without any problems. Also the problem is not really the location/wifi of my lenova laptop because I can connect to my phone's personal hotspot when I am at school.
Simply, the problem is found when I cannot connect to my school's wifi because it requires me to download a site to put my information.
I have read other forums and try to figure it myself, however, I am very noobie when it comes to computers. So I appreciate a step-by-step instructions. For example, please provide links that I may need to download to update my driver.
I have called customer care, and I am not going to pay 100 bucks just to fix a simple problem. So i appreciate your time.

check whether you have set up your wifi settings correctly.(i mean 'servers' and login credentials ).

  • How can I make an HTTP redirect in Apache on Mac?

In IIS on Windows, I was making a redirect that when I went to localhost, it would go to localhost/IndigoUnlimited for my site. Now, I am using Apache, and to get to my site on my Mac, I need to type in localhost/~myuser. How can I make a redirect so when I go to localhost it will redirect me to localhost/~myuser?

You'd do this by editing your hosts file. That's actually what was happening when using IIS to set up the redirect. It just had a fancy interface.

  • Is there anything suspicious in these Terminal results?

I'm a fairly new iMac user and I have recently been bombarded with spam on my Verizon email account, which I view through my iMac's Mail program. (Except that now that I'm getting so much spam, I've been signing into my Verizon email instead of my Apple Mail account so that I can send all the spam to Verizon's SpamDetector without opening the spam ... another problem in itself since it seems that my Apple Mail program always opens the spam no matter how discreet I try to be while forwarding it to my Junk folder.. and on top of that, Verizon's Spam Detector doesn't seem to be doing a thing for me!) Sometimes it seems that the spam arrives in droves after using particular forum-oriented websites like Trip Advisor and others, but this could just be a coincidence.
I also recently upgraded my WEP on my Verizon Actiontec MI424WR router to WPA2 in accordance with Verizon's July instructions. Since then, I am also having all sorts of inconsistent connectivity issues with my iMac, my HP 8600 printer, and my iPhone 5s.
Occasionally, it seems that I am being redirected to sites that I didn't ask to see -- nothing really trashy or anything, but for instance, when I was trying to research my problems via Apple Support, I am nearly positive I was being directed to fake Apple Support sites. The main reason I think this is because some of the pages were advertising or directing me to download things that I have been told are not safe -- like fake malware removal programs. I didn't click on any of the links on these pages. Instead, I re-inserted apple.com into my browser and came up with a more official-looking apple.com home page.
Other than my first massive spam issues ever (in over 20 years with the same email address), and the connectivity issues that I've been having since upgrading to WPA2, and what occasionally appears to be redirected websites, I have no other reason to research malware issues. But I'm suddenly  having so many little irritating issues with my iMac that I began to suspect that I MIGHT have a problem.
After reading several forums and solutions on the Apple Support site, it occurs to me that I MAY have updated Adobe Flashplayer from a third-party website. I do recall being surprised at the frequency with which I was directed to upgrade Adobe Flashplayer, but I did it anyway because it seemed official and because I didn't know that there was a known security issue with Adobe Flashplayer.  And maybe the updates WERE official! I just don't feel like I know anything at this point.
Anyway, I saw a response by Linc Davis that directed a community member to take several copy and paste steps with Terminal. I have followed Linc Davis' instructions and got these results:

  • Autodiscover not working internally

    Hi
So far this has driven me crazy. I cannot seem to get this to work. I am going to try and explain the situation fully. What we have is a hosted Exchange environment where we have
multiple tenants with their own domains. We have a SSL certificate for our own domain domain.com. It has the following domain names linked to it:
    webmail.domain.com (Primary)
    autodiscover.domain.com (SAN)
    mail.domain.com (SAN)
We have multiple tenants with each a unique domain (i.e. tenant.com). We have setup CNAME records for this domains so that they point to our HTTP redirection website which in turn
redirects them to our autodiscover website (= autodiscover.domain.com). This is to avoid having to buy an SSL certificate with several SAN hostnames. Our domain domain.local or domain.com (= externally) also hosts a series of other servers including terminal
    servers which are tenants/clients use.
The autodiscovery service works externally (which means devices that are not within our domain.local domain). It is able to use the autodiscover service for i.e. autodiscover.tenant.com Internally it does not work for some strange reason. It is able to reach
the redirect website and it is able to get to the right web server hosting the autodiscover website but it fails when it tries to find the hostname autodiscover.domain.com in the SSL certificate webmail.domain.com. Even though the hostname autodiscover.domain.com
is included in the SAN. It says that they can't validate the certificate name. Externally it is able to find this and validate the certificate but not internally for some strange reason. Why would this be?
Thanks again for all your help. It is much appreciated.
    Daniel

    Hi,
According to your description, the name Autodiscover.domain.com can be resolved externally while it cannot be resolved internally. If I misunderstabd your meaning, please feel free to let me know.
If yes, I'd like to recommend you check if there is an internal DNS entry about the name Autodiscover.domain.com. Additionally, we can also check the result of directly accessing the URL:
https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml on a internal client machine.
    Thanks,

  • SSL and webcache on defaut https port

I have followed the note 338071.1 to configure Discoverer 10g (10.1.2) Plus/Viewer For HTTPS (SSL) Access.
Now I can access to the OEM in https, only if I put the port 4446
    https://checlas01:4446/
If I use https://checlas01 the server return an error message (No Response from Application Web Server)
The port 443 is setted in the webcache to redirect website with port numer 4446 (As described in the howto)
    What's wrong ?
    Thx

When you try to access https://checlas01 then this assumes that there is something listening on port 80 for this. Try if https://checlas01:443 works, if so then your webcache is probable working as you set it up. To access https://checlas01, you will have to set up a virtual server which is accessible under port 80 and also add the site and the site to server mapping in the web cache.

  • Removing OSX.RSPlug.a  Trojan Virus / Using a Trial version of VirusBarrier

Hello, i have just downloaded the trial version of VirusBarrier and it has found 5 infected files with the RSPlug.a files
    Resourses> Post Install (OSX.RSPlug.a.postflight)
    Resourses> Pre Upgrade (OSX.RSPlug.a.preflight)
    Resourses> Pre Install (OSX.RSPlug.a.Preflight)
    Internet Plugins> Plugin.Settings (OSX.RSPlug.a.Preflight)
    Resourses> Postupgrade (OSXPlug.a.Postflight)
    Not looking too good!
Now in the trial version you can not repair the files, but you can delete them. I am not good with macs as you probably tell by this post and can not afford to upgrade my copy of virusbarrier, but i obviously want to remove these files.
Can i delete the files then go through the steps on:
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20071031114140862
or will deleting the files cause me any other problems using my mac?
Also, can someone explain this step in laymans terms as i dont know where to find the "Network systems Preference panel":
    3. Open your Network System Preferences panel, go to the DNS Server box, and copy the entries you can see to a Stickies note, TextEdit document, or memorize them. Now retype those same values in the box, then click Apply.
Thanks for your help, and sorry for my ignorance on the matter.

  • HTTP Monitoring through Java

    Hi All,
I would like to monitor my browsing data, such as the websites browsed, domain names, redirected websites informations, ad-popup details, finding the active session duration of each window, cookies created by the websites etc.
I hope there are some third party utilities which can do this. But i want to build this monitoring stuff in java, so that i could also learn some networking stuffs.
Can you please provide some information on how to proceed?
    Thanks.

Sounds like he wants to do a lot more than that, depending on what he means by "finding the active session duration of each window"I think he is just asking for the world and hoping for just a small island. If the OP is an experienced programmer then he will know that what he is asking for is a BIG project that is very platform specific. If, as I suspect, he is not very experienced then to me his posting this in "Networking" implies he really wants just network traffic.
Until the OP replies we will never know.

  • Losing Audio in Video Conversion m2ts mp4

I am using a video importing device and software that creates a "m2ts" file.   I can play the created "m2ts" file perfectly using VLC.
However, neither QuickTime 7 or QuickTime 10.3 will play this file.   When I tried to use MPEG Streamclip I was presented with a pop-up suggesting I need to purchase an additional plug-in, (which I am happy to do). It suggested I go here to purchase.  http://www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2
I tried that, but was redirected here http://www.apple.com/quicktime/extending/components.html
I have no idea if the software I need is at this redirected website.
The plot thickens.   The importing software has the ability within it to convert video file to a mp4.   I tried that because I have found mp4 to be more compatible.
Unfortunately,  I lose all audio (the video is perfect) when I try MPEG Streamclip or VLC.  With QuickTime 10.3 I get perfect audio and video.  So, I drag the mp4 file into iMovie 06 (aka iMovie HD) and it begins converting into something. When the conversion is complete the audio is gone!
I have dumped many mp4 files into iMovie 06, and never had a problem until now.
    Thanks for reading, suggestions appreciated.

I thought I would report my progress.  ( I have sound now, BUT !! )
I purchased a video conversion program from the Mac App Store.   It is called “AnyVideo converter HD".  It is well reviewed.
So, I dropped in my "m2ts" file.  I set the conversion to "Computer MOV 720p HD".  "AnyVideo converter HD" converted a 1 minute video in about 15 seconds to a "mov".   The converted file had excellent picture quality and sound, it played perfectly using QuickTime.
Then the trouble started.  When I dropped this 60 second clip into iMovie 06 (set for 720p) it's conversion process took 35 minutes ?!?!   The result was flawless!  However, a two-hour video conversion would not be complete until about the time Capt. Kirk joins Starfleet.

My problem is that I cannot view enlarged pictures on redirected website page.

Hello @mikeb1501,  welcome to the HP Forums.
It appears that you have an issue with viewing enlarged pictures on redirect website pages. I will try to assist you with this.
    Some questions to start:
What are the Model and Product numbers for your notebook?
What's the currently install operating system?
Do you only have the issue with viewing when it's a redirected website?
Is this specific to one website or many? (list if more)
    What browser are you using?
Have you tried an other browser?
Can you view pictures (normal or enlarged) from non internal related sources like Windows photo gallery?
If you can provide answers to the above questions, it would allow me to better assist you.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

  • WAP ( and no, I don't mean WPA *mutter*)

After searching for WAP (thanks to all of you who watered down my results by using the wrong acronym for your wireless security issues :P), I found nothing regarding what I was looking for. So fair warning, if you respond "If you had searched, you would have found this blah blah," prepare to be flamed.
I was curious if anyone knew of a workaround( or "hack" if you feel so inclined) to make iPhone's Safari default to the WAP version of websites. Yes, I enjoy being able to see and manipulate web pages in all their glory, but when I'm on the go, what I want is speed and the ability to quickly scroll to get to the information I need. I browse a lot of tech news/rumors, such as Engadget, ThinkSecret, MacRumors. Some of the sites I frequent like to bloat things up with eye candy that is unnecessary. I know a few of them have WAP versions, and I was just curious if there was a way to fool those sites into thinking the iPhone was a regular POS cell phone :P
I remember years ago, even before the whole "OMG DON'T GO ONLINE SOMEONE IS GOING TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY" craze began, there were some redirection websites like Anonymizer. These sites would redirect you to the site you wanted to visit and mask your IP, OS, and browser information to keep it from being farmed. If anyone has any experience with sites like this that are still up that allow you to mask the version of your browser to say, whatever the heck Symbian or PalmOS uses, and would recommend one, I'd take that as a good place to start. While on my Mac, I don't have problems googling such things and clicking on any and every link that shows up. But years of using my PC has taught me better than to click on links I'm not familiar with while in Windows. In fact, I'm going to have to remove the XP partition on my MBP because it's loaded with spyware/adware (and I haven't even hit the **** sites in months! :P).
OK, sorry for getting longwinded. If you all skipped the rest of the book I just wrote, the only important part is this: Anyone know any good ways to mask the iPhone's Safari browser info so that I always default to WAP versions of websites?

A popular mobile proxy is Skweezer. It takes sites and knocks them down to single column for small screens. You can change the Settings for various max pages sizes.
    http://www.skweezer.net
A couple of lists of mobile friendly sites:
    http://www.cantoni.org/palm/
    http://www.pocketpcmag.com/mobile/mobile.asp
It's also a fad lately to watch for "iPhone" in the HTTP header and serve up smaller pages. Some people like it, some don't. If it stops the site from trying to serve up Flash, then it's helpful.
There are also often mobile versions of popular websites, they'll start with "m." or end with ".mobi". Like:
    http://m.yahoo.com

  • Radio not connecting

Setup a user with a new Dell, Windows 7 and iTunes 10.6.3.25, but the radio doesn't connect.
We are in a corp environment and the users old PC with same version of iTunes does not connect.    No error it just keeps trying to connect but never downloaded the list of stations
I uninstalled, rebooted and downloaded  10.6.3.25 again,  but again radio doesn't connect....  Any suggestions?
Could this be one of the dependent pgms or services?
    thanks in Advance
    David

It appears that Apple has discontinued it's intermediary stream lookup service.  If you check the "info" for the radio stations in your list and see that they all refer to
                http://pri.kts-af.net
you will have to reload all the radio stations into your list from the iTunes "Radio" list.  The new version of iTunes puts the actual station's stream URL in the list, rather than just pointing to the redirect website.
You will have to rebuild your radio station list, which is a pain, but should be straightforward.  There does not seem to be any way to have this done for you automatically. It has to be done manually, one station at a time.
Took me 5 minutes to get the list rebuilt.
Don't forget to delete the old entries AFTER you have gotten the new entries in place.... the list of the old ones is useful as you populate the list with the new entries.
