Redirecting domain to prosite
I have a site i pushed live with bc in muse and now want my domain to be my prosite website through behance and I must be doing something wrong. I added my custom domain name I went to BC and tried to redirect but it is not working. I check the staus on prosite and it says error, the domain is pointed to some other IP. I do not understand what info is required in what fiel under what drop down menu. I am admittedly a novice, so any spelled out help, like I was in kindergarten, would be most appreciated. Thank you. Amanda
BC is not a domain host. If you no longer want your domain to point to your BC site and to something else you need to delete your domains in your BC site and go to your domain registra and change the NS records or A-record (depends on which was set up) and point that to your new sites required details

How to redirect domain controller address to another one without changing IP Helper
Hi All
Basically we have been told that our domain controller's address is going to change, we have many switches 200+ that have the current address as the IP Helper address. The topology is basically a core 6509 that goes out to approx 45 distribution switches 3560s that then have multiple access switches hanging off 3560s, 2950s and 2960s. There are also many workstations that have the domain controllers IP statically assigned.
My question is is there a way that this server can be decomisioned and replaced with a new one with a different IP without having to change all of the devices IP Helper address static DNS etc. but to just redirect requests for that address to another at a higher level? Like say the core receives requests for the old IP and redirects requests to the new address? We have tried suggesting they keep the same IP for the new server but it's not going to happen.
thanksYou can use NAT to do that. Be careful though because that is really a band-aid and not a resolution to the problem.

Sorry people, this whole stuff with domains, DNS, A-Records etc. is very cryptic...
My Problem:
I own the domain "designformat.de". Host was the german company "1&1.de". I built the side with Muse now and published it on BC (CC-Membership). I made a redirection for the domain name to BC. It works, but the url shown is "designformat01.businesscatalyst.com. How do I change this into "designformat.de" ?
Thanks for help!Using a frame redirection is probably not the most effective ways to redirect your domain to Business Catalyst. You should call up 1&1 and tell them that you want to remove your "frame redirection" and add an A record pointing to "54.246.209.120" for your "www" and naked domains.
Once you do this, login to BC and add your custom domain name under Site Settings > Site Domains > Add New Domain
When adding your domain, make sure to check "Use an external server" and if you want your custom domain to be the main domain for the site, click the "Default" checkbox too, making it the default domain/URL for your BC site.
Adding frame redirection might be easier but you'll see some hits in your SEO for sure. -
Redirecting Domain & Uploading Changes through Muse
My site is hosted in business catalyst, but my domain is with GoDaddy. I keep redirecting my A records and Nameservers but the site appears then later is saying it's temporarily unavilable. Addtional to this, when the site does load on and off I try to upload changes and Muse says it is successful but days later nothing will have changed.
Here is the site:
<http://www.rawmountainfoods.com>
Someone please help!Hi Candace,
I did DNS look up for your site http://www.rawmountainfoods.com and found you are using external Name Server and you have correctly add A record to point to our data center IP address. I then checked your site and its working fine on our end. Please confirm whether or not, your issue is resolved. If not, please contact support directly, either by initiating chat from http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html or log a ticket.

Redirect domain to fixed IP adres
Is it possible to configured the DNS of my E4200 to return a specific configured IP instead of actually go out and resolve it? So for example: www.google.com should return 192.168.1.1
Not possible.

Redirecting traffic based on source address on CSS11503
Hi all,
I need to redirect HTTP traffic originating from a specific range of IPs to a specific farm of HTTP servers. More specifically, I need request comming to CSS's outside VIP address on port 80/tcp to be redirected to the HTTP farm (2 boxes with RFC1918 addresses) on port 30084/tcp.
The trick is that this rule should only apply for a certain range of source IP addresses. The rest should be content switched normally. I.e. 80/tcp -> 80/tcp, etc.
Is this possible with ACL or somthing similar?
I'm running WebNS 7.20 on a CSS11503.
Thanks,
haveryou could create a 2nd VIP like x.x.x.x:81 and
a service like
service redirect
domain x.x.x.x:81
type redirect
keepalive type none
Under the Vip x.x.x.x:81, you configure the 2 services with private ip addresses and port 30084.
Then you create an ACL
acl 10
clause 10 permit tcp destination content prefer redirect
clause 99 permit any any destination any
apply circuit-VLAN...
Don't forget you will need an ACL permit any any on all other interfaces to avoid blocking the rest of the traffic.
What this will do is tell the browser to close the current connection to vip:80 and reopen a new one to vip:81 and this will be loadbalanced to the private servers.

Hi,
I want to configure http to https redirects on CCS 11501. Could someone guide me on how to implemet HTTPS redirect for a sub-directory.
Say I have www.xyz.com by default it goes to http, which is fine. But if someone types in http://www.xyz.com/login or http://www.xyz.com/login/secure/index.html then it should be redirected to httpS://www.xyz.com/login or http://www.xyz.com/login/secure/index.html. Basically anything in and under login directory should be HTTPS.
I have setup following but I am getting redirect loop
content DEFAULT
vip address 10.1.1.1
protocol tcp
port 80
url "/*"
add service Server1
add service Server2
advanced-balance arrowpoint-cookie
active
content SSL_RULE
protocol tcp
vip address 10.1.1.1
port 443
add service SSL_SERVICE
active
content LOGIN
vip address 10.1.1.1
protocol tcp
port 80
url "//www.xyz.com/login/*"
add service LOGIN_RD
active
==========================
service LOGIN_RD
ip address 2.2.2.2
keepalive type none
type redirect
domain https://www.xyz.com
active
service SSL_SERVICE
type ssl-accel
slot 2
add ssl-proxy-list SSL_LIST1
keepalive type none
active
I would greatly appreciate any help.Your getting a redirect loop because you do not have an alternate port were the redirected traffic can be processed. The inbound request that contains "/login" will get redirected to the HTTPS equivalent however with your current configuration the connection will simply fall under the same redirect content rule and you will never resolve content correctly(redirect loop).
The following configuration will work:
content DEFAULT
vip address 10.1.1.1
protocol tcp
port 80
url "/*"
add service Server1
add service Server2
advanced-balance arrowpoint-cookie
active
content DEFAULT
vip address 10.1.1.1
protocol tcp
port 81
url "/*"
add service Server1
add service Server2
advanced-balance arrowpoint-cookie
active
content SSL_RULE
protocol tcp
vip address 10.1.1.1
port 443
add service SSL_SERVICE
active
content LOGIN
vip address 10.1.1.1
protocol tcp
port 80
url "/login*"
add service LOGIN_RD
active
==========================
service LOGIN_RD
type redirect
no prepend-http
keepalive type none
domain https://www.xyz.com
active
service SSL_SERVICE
type ssl-accel
slot 2
add ssl-proxy-list SSL_LIST1
keepalive type none
active
Update the ssl-proxy-list with an alternate port to send the decrypted traffic too.
ssl-server 1 cipher all-cipher-suites 10.1.1.1 81
I chose port 81 as the alternate decrypted port, however you can choose any other port. Please be sure that your servers are setup to accept traffic on that alternate port as well. If not, you can simply setup a NAT rule and hardset the destination port on the services to port 80. This will allow the CSS to re-write the destination port to port 80 when the decrypted traffic gets sent to the alternate port 81 content rule.
Hope this info helps.

Trying to capture a URL String after a redirect.
I'm trying to capture a URL string after a redirect. Is this possible? Am I going at this the wrong way?
They code below always comes back; isURLInaccessible: true
I've tried mutliple attempts of using Security.loadPolicyFile, still no luck.
Both the URLRequest domain and the redirect domain have crossdomain files with access set to *.
[CODE]
public function init():void{
var loader:Loader = new Loader();
loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, progressHandler);
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(myVideoURL);
loader.load(request);
private function progressHandler(pe:ProgressEvent):void{
var info:LoaderInfo = LoaderInfo(pe.target.loader.contentLoaderInfo)
if(info.isURLInaccessible){
trace("isURLInaccessible: " + info.isURLInaccessible);
}else{
trace(info.url);
[CODE]use an Event.COMPLETE listener and listener function to check that property.

Any help would be much appreciated.what is the correct way to add/remove a program from startup at kde4?
I'm not sure this is the correct way, but it worked for me for starting up yakuake on KDE4's startup.
1) Open Konqueror
2) Go to <<user home>>/.kde4/share/autostart/
3) Right Click > Create New > Link to Application
4) You can type in the name (if you know it) or click the icon and do a search for the app name -
Inputstream.java.io.IOException , applet connection
I'm working on a problem with the failure of a java
applet connection to a java servlet.
The connection is via the internet, and over port 80.
the java console loggin reports the following
There was an attempt to redirect a url request,
but the attempt was not allowed by the client. IOException caught in run
could some one let me know what the URL re-direction is here,
much apreciated,
slainteI have often found this problem with inexperts java programmers.
I could tell you better luck next time, but today I feel generous, so I will answer.
There is a redirect domain problem. When you try to connect the site you receive an ICMP error message, which is the responsable of the error message you can see. That occurs because the URL connects to another URL different (surely because its original URL has changed to another) and you only have to discover the new URL, and try to connect to it. -
5760 guest network not receiving IP address
I'm testing a pair of 5760s for a near-term production rollout. I have the dot1x employee wlan working, but am having trouble with the guest web-auth wlan. We have a foreign controller with connected APs and an anchor controller in the DMZ. We're using an external redirect to the ISE guest portal. ISE is working with our production equipment and hasn't been changed. However, I'm not able to get an IP address assignment to test the ISE redirect. When I remove all of the web-auth configuration, I'm getting an IP address without issues. My configuration is attached below, and would appreciate an extra set of eyes.

I am new to CSS. I have CSS 1150 with IOS 7.3. I want to load balancing two servers 192.168.210.55 and 192.168.210.56 on port 80.
My CSS is connected in single arm configuration. Core switch is dong the Inter VLAN routing and CSS is connected in the VLAN 200 access Port.
Servers and CSS are connected to same Layer 3 switch.
CSS is in VLAN 200 (192.168.200.10)
Servers are in VLAN 210
Below is the configuration of my CSS

ACE class-map match url syntax
Can someone help me with the string that would match a url with no path specified? For instance; user types "https://outlook.domain.net" into their browser and I want the ACE to redirect that request to https://outlook.domain.net/owa".
2 match http url oulook\.domain\.net\Adam and Shday,
I'll give you a hand on this =)
Adam we can solve your problem only if you're doing SSL offloading on the ACE as the layer 5 information that needs to be checked is being sent encrypted.
In case SSL termination is configured then the configuration would be like this:
rserver redirect OWA
webhost-redirection https://%h/owa 301
inservice
serverfarm redirect OWA
rserver OWA
inservice
class-map type http loadbalance match-any OWA
2 match http header Host header-value "outlook.domain.net"
policy-map type loadbalance first-match OWA
class OWA
serverfarm OWA
class class-default
serverfarm Backend
Shday yours is pretty much the same but you need to decide if class-default needs
to be in place:
rserver redirect Domain
webhost-redirection http://%h/any_path 301
inservice
serverfarm redirect Domain
rserver Domain
inservice
class-map type http loadbalance match-any Any
2 match http url /.*
class-map type http loadbalance match-any Domain
2 match http header Host header-value "domain.com"
policy-map type loadbalance first-match Domain
class Any
serverfarm Backend
class Domain
serverfarm Domain

Severe Site Slow-Down with multiple DNS/Sites
Alright.. this is a bit of a strange situation, any help is appreciated because I'm pretty much out of troubleshooting options.
Mac OS X Server hosting a few important sites and then several "redirect" sites.
- A PHP/MySQL system
- 2 normal PHP/MySQL websites
- 8 Redirects (domain.bz, domain.biz, domain.name, etc..)
The redirects are set up like so:
- A DNS entry with a "www" alias pointing to the local machine.
- A site with a .html file containing a meta-refresh to domain.com
The Redirects work just fine when they are enabled, www.domain.biz goes to www.domain.com, etc.. however, the 3 sites that run on the server experience severe slow-down to the point of not even loading.
Normally the sites are blazingly fast..
Anyway, if the redirect site entries are disabled, the slow-down disappears.
As an added oddity.. if Safari is experiencing the slowdown, but I cancel the site load.. the site pulls up missing images/css in varying degrees, depending on when I cancel, so it's like something is "hanging".
There's nothing apparent in the error logs other than a report that 'there is a mismatch between the domain name and reverse DNS' etc.. 'may cause some services to not work properly'.Nevermind, I found the problem.
The performance cache was enabled for the redirect sites. -
Is it possible to offer more than one panel option(one being Bc) to clients from a single website ?
From a technical/design stand point, what would be the best way to achieve this ?
example : from 1 website, offer Bc & Plesk 11.
obviously Plesk cannot integrate into Bc and Bc cannot integrate into Plesk.
to offer both, both admistration panels would have to be set up on their respective individual servers,
but the main website would be best set up to offer both services on Plesk or Bc and how in God's good name would this be achieved,
without redirecting domain names when client chooses either service ? people get "bommy" when they are redirected or see a different domain name when making any sort or purchase.
i hope i have explained myself clearly.
even if this forum is not suited for a suitable solution,
may someone please point me in a suitable direction ?
& obviously i will have to post the same on "Parallels" forum.
Any kind assistance in this would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
RC.much appreciated.
i actually did contact bcgurus directly but they referred me to their forums, which i shall do soon.
i cant get much feed back because i guess no one else has the same idea.
i would like to share my reasons for such implementation if anyone really cares and also i guess for the same reason i cant get much of a response.
the Bc community (at least the devout followers) seems to me to be pushing a silly "us and them" concept sometimes.
"Bc vs Wordpress". "its either or". "Bc is an all in one solution", "what good is open source if it does not give you leads" etc. etc. how silly, immature and stupid the human species can be sometimes.
there are actually people, (millions of market share) that do not need or want a lot of what Bc offers.
would it not be wise to offer customers a panel solution of their choice ?
that way, they win and we, the partners, web hosters, designers etc also profit.
maybe in the future Bc could consider integration options the way cpanel and plesk and many others do.
depending on our few Bc followers alone to build web apps will not be sufficient for the competition.

Can I add non regular repeating events in the default Calendar?
Hello, I've recently been using the Calendar app to try to keep track of my increasingly hectic work schedule. One of my jobs is easy to add as it's on the same day each week, so I can just use the repeating events menu. The other two can be any day
