Redirecting to a specific Page; portlets on another Page are displayed

Good day,
I want to direct User who clicks on a URL like
"http://somedomain.com/portal/portal.portal?_destPage=workspacePage" to
the Page labelled 'workspacePage'. The User will click that link from an
email or a web page that runs on a remote server, not the one hosting the
Weblogic portal.
I declare this page backing for my Page. The portal has 1 desktop, 2 pages
(Page1 and Page2). Page1 has portlet1 and Page2 has portlet21 and
portlet22.
When the User clicks on http://somedomain.com/portal/portal.portal, the
portal shows Page1. when the User clicks on
http://somedomain.com/portal/portal.portal?_destPage=workspacePage, the
portal shows both portlet1, portlet21 and portlet22.
When I tried stepping through the code, the preRender block is executed
twice.
Can somebody on the list points out the error in this snippet? Thanks.

Problem solved; just read the control tree documentations more closely and
ran some simple simulations.
