Redirection is not happeing with higher version of Fire Fox (v 2.0.0.17)

Hi,
We are using sundirectory service (version 6.x) for login authentication via LDAP protocal. On entering the invalid user info on the prelogin page, it should redirect to the prelogin page with an error message, but it's not happening as expected with higher version of firefox(V :2.0.0.17 and above). The user authenticated redirection to prelogin page is happening as expected in IE 6.0 and lower version firefox (V1.0.7).
Could you please confirm whether sundirectory service or SAM supports the higher version of( V :2.0.0.17 and above) fire fox or Latest fire fox features/bug fixes creating the problem.

Hi Sheger77,
Thank you very much for suggesting installation Live Http Headers. I have done like what you suggested. I am able to see the live http headers and rensponse codes. The authentication is hppening correctly.
below is the authentication response from SAM server user password is wrong.

One thing i did not understand is that the scenario to get the below page with a link "Return to Login page" in the firefox browser v3.0.3.
Sun Java System Access Manager (Authentication Failed)
Authentication failed.Return to Login page
On cliking the Return to Login page, i will get the below page.
Sun Java System Access Manager (Login)
This server uses LDAP Authentication
User Name: Password:
And a Log In Button.
This issue is happening with fire fox version browser 2.0.0.16 to till v3.0.3. Is there any chance of client validations restricting. The same code working as expected by the browser MSIE 6.0 and lower version of FireFox(V: 1.0.7). Is there any chance of client side(brower) security updates restricting the redirection to pre-login page. Please suggest.

    Hi sheger77,
Thank you for the kind information, but still I am not clear with the difference of behavior in prod & test regions.
We have two regions like prod & test. Both the prod and test has same environments (hardware & software). But the problem occurring only prod region but not in test. So I am not able come to a conclusion that the problem is with Sam server 6.1 version.
In the Sam code we have some intermediate pages, After authenticating the user by sun directory service, the control should go to a normal intermediate page and from that page it is coming to application Prelog-in page with an error message. It is happening as expected in test region; but in production, due to some exception at Sam code the control is going to an auth_exception intermediate page. So the control is not coming back to application Prelog-in page.
Would you please elaborate the suspecting reasons for throwing exception in Sam code.

  • How to download 3.6 version of Firefox to my Mac which is not compatible with higher version.

I have Firefox 2.0.0.12 on my Mac OS X Version 10.5.8. I do not

I download for e.g 3.0. How do I do that on the web-site?
    Thank you, Harris Clemes

    See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-no-longer-works-mac-os-10-4-or-powerpc
Since you have a Intel Mac, if you can upgrade to OSX 10.5.x then you may be able to use more current releases.
jscher2000, You should link to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html for 3.6.28 since the ftp is not mirrored.

  • I have updated to the latest version of FireFox 6.02! As FireFox is my official browser whenever I'm on the homepage I keep getting a message stating that I've not updated to the latest version of Fire- Fox. Not true!!!

I have updated to the latest version of Fire Fox on my computer. I have Firefox set as the home page whenever I'm on the Internet. Right on the homepage is an "urgent" message stating that I am not using the latest version of Fire Fox. I most assuredly do have the latest version of Fire Fox downloaded and installed into my computer.

  • TARGET database is not compatible with RMAN version

    Hi all,
we have an issue related to RMAN version.
A few weeks ago we update our 10.2.0.1 Oracle Database to 10.2.0.4 using 6810189 pacth set.
Now when we try to execute RMAN this is the output:
    Recovery Manager : Release 11.1.0.6.0 - Production on Jue Nov 20 12:20:57 2008
Copyright (c) 1982, 2007, Oracle. All rights reserved.
Recovery Manager incompatible with TARGET database: RMAN 8.0.4.0 to 10.2.0.4 needed
    RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
    RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
    RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00554: initialization of internal recovery manager package failed
RMAN-06429: TARGET database is not compatible with this version of RMAN
(I translate the spanish message, maybe the words is not exactly the same in the english version)
As is shown in the output the RMAN version installed by the pacthset is higher than database version, is there a way to downgrade RMAN or to solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

I'm pretty sure patchset 6810189 does not install RMAN executable 11g. I did several patchings to 10.2.0.4 and that never happened. Patching may sometimes leave components at a lower level than the patchset, but never the opposite is true. That would be definitely a bug. So you (or someone else) installed 11g software.

  • I downloaded Firefox 4 and tried to launch it. The message said that Firefox will not work with this version of Mac OX. Please advise.

I downloaded Firefox 4 and installed it. When I tried to launch it, a message came up saying that Firefox will not work with this version of Mac OSX. Now I have no Firefox. How can I get Firefox 3.6 back on my Mac? How can I make Firefox 4.0 work? Please advise.

Thanks for the reply so quickly! Is the tenfourfox going to be be just as safe and as high of quality as the Firefox 4? Also since Mozilla's website says, "Firefox 3.6.x will be maintained with security and stability updates for a short amount of time. All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 4" does that mean if I go back to 3.6 there will be security and stability issues after a "short amount of time"?

  • I have installed Firefox4 to find it is not compatible with my version of OSX how do I get version 3.6 back or do I just give up and use Safari?

I downloaded Version 4 and installed it. At no point did it say that it was not compatible with the version of OS X that I am running (10.4.11) now that it is installed it will not open but it has already up graded from 3.6 so I have lost the lot. How can I download a version of 3.6 so that I can use it again or should I just pack up and use Safari as all I can get from your site is version 4. HELP!!!

I want to add another management server to our existing SCOM environment. But whenever I run this setup on a new server I get stuck in the window for selecting the OperationsManager database. The database field stays blank and in the OpsMgrSetupWizard log
there are lines that the setup version is not compatible with the database version. But I use the same installer as when I installed the other management servers a year ago.
Maybe there is a newer setup installer? But I can't find it.

  • Photoshop CS2: "file not compatible with this version of Photoshop" error

So, I've been working with Photoshop for almost 20 years now, and lately I've been getting this error message on occasion (but not on every file) when I go to open a file I worked on just yesterday: "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop." I just worked on it yesterday in Photoshop. The file was saved as a PSD, and when I attempt to open it through Painter IX, that program tells me that it's not a Photoshop document. Why can't I open this file anymore, and why is it giving me this error message when I don't have Norton AntiVirus installed, and my 'maximize PSD and PSB file compatibility' is set to 'always'??
Does anyone have an idea on how I can open my file? How can I get around this, and how do I prevent it from happening again?

This is the boilerplate text I use in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please
    cease and desist immediately
in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files.
Working across a network is not supported.
    See:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/322391.html
    Copy the
CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work. It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does
not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

  • HP Smart web printing is very useful web printing extension which is not compatible with any version of firefox till now but compatible with Internet Explorer any version. So Please do correction. Thanks

It is up to HP to make that program compatible with Firefox.
That application last worked in Firefox 3.5, but HP was always very lax in updating it for a new version of Firefox. Usually they didn't bother to update it until like halfway through the "run" of a particular Firefox version. It worked for like 6 months and then a new version of Firefox was released, and it didn't work for like 6 months until HP got around to fixing it - then the cycle repeated.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

*download the full firefox setup file from getfirefox.com
*uninstall firefox on the machine (but don't chose to delete your custom files & settings in the uninstaller!)
*manually delete all remaining files in the firefox program folder, which usually resides in ''C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\''
