Redirection issues? What is going on?

I am using firefox 3.6.17 on my MacBook Pro. I am running the latest version of Snow Leopard (all latest security updates, etc). For awhile now my browser randomly redirects to this website:
Code:
http://bidder.mathtag.com/iframe/not...872%26adurl%3D
Code:
http://bidder.mathtag.com.
So far I only notice this on my firefox on my macbook pro. I have yet to see it on my chrome (mac and windows 7).
What is causing this? I recently reinstalled my mac os.

Clearing out messages was one of the things i initially did to reduce data unfortunately. It did clear up about 1 to 1.5 gb so that was good (mostly from videos/pictures in messages). However it is very frustrating that after taking the time to do that the 1.5 gb is now gone again lol. I have a feeling it is corrupt data as well.. I just don't see anything that visibily changed when i synced the phone. I will give a restore a shot and see what happens. Thanks for the help

No they do not and no it is not affecting a large portion of the user community.
If it is an actual hardware issue, the only fix is to repair or replace the hardware.
If it is a software issue, restoring as new will fix it.

comes up. I end up playing with it going back to where I was or trying to reload it and after a few tries it will let me go to the page i want and then it will do it again even if I'm not touching anything. What's going on? This has been happening a lot. I came to this page and it doesn't seem to be doing it with this but I can't say why. I've tried to search through the Q&A but haven't found anything so far.

    Video playback issues

  • I am exporting a 2 min video, using a custom compressor setting. i have not had issues with this setting in the past, but recently its taking upwards of 4 hours to process. Any idea what is going on?

  • What is going on with 6.0.2 exchanged two phones today in store all with battery draining issue problem

Guys, what is going on two phones exchanged in store today all had battery draining problems once phone updated to iOS 6.0.2.
First phone wouldn't last 3 hours usage even in plane mode function.
Second phone bit better battery life 3 hours 15 minutes usage No Apps installed on both phone and location turn off even setup as new phone.

First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

  • Sending an message in iMessage to one reciepient causes it to be redirected to another recipient: what is going on?

    Hello,
I am trying to send a message to my daughter through iMessage, and using here email address of [email protected]; but when I send it, it goes to her mother who using her Mobile Phone for iMessage (we are divorced...): what is going on, and how can I ensure that my messages are going to my daughter and not to some-one else's contacts?

    Hello FlashJackFromGundagai,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From the description of your post where another person is also receiving the messages, it appears that the other person is signed in to the same Apple ID as your daughter, thus also getting the messages.  Either your daughter will need to create a different Apple ID, or your ex-wife will need to log out of iMessage of your daughter's account.
Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    Have a great weekend,

  • What is going on with Apple / ITunes?

What a mess! I received a video IPod in August and with some issues (my lack of computer knowledge) all has worked out. I wanted to download a new movie and its where it all went south. Just so you know I have downloaded videos and short films with zero issues and was really looking forward to having movies for a long trip I’m taking on Wednesday.
First I'm told I must download new 7 version and that did not work for some time but now its loaded. I purchased a movie and the download took most of yesterday. I called Apple support and was sold support for $59.00 since I had already called to question the download issue (only one free call) I was told the issue is probably I am using a router and I should bypass the router.
I decide to mess with it in the morning (today) and when I go on line to ITunes my movie is downloaded. I try to add it to my IPod and it will not transfer. I call customer service (on hold 45 minutes) and speak with a woman with a very strong Indian accent. We go though tons of marketing research gathering information and she basically doesn't know what is the issue. We look in files, we spend 20+ minutes on the phone and she tells me I need to speak with someone else. I now go on hold again and with 10+ minutes a upper level tech comes on the line and ask me many of the same questions, telling me I need to redirect me internet connection away from the router and that may be the issue.
All said and done she finally directs me to the ITunes web site where I can email them for help since Apple does not support ITunes tech issues. I must be crazy because I then think she might be right about the router and I bypass and buy another movie from ITunes. What do you know it is telling me I have only 8 more hours remaining downloading an 2 hour movie????
Can anyone tell me what is going on and what I need to do to get the 2 movies I purchased onto my IPod. I'm now down $59.00 for no service and $9.99 times 2. Blockbuster and my DVD playing is looking better all the time. Thanks, Margrettte
    Toshiba   Windows XP Pro

Three basic questions (which you may have covered with the customer service people already):
For your speed of movie download problem, how fast is your internet connection? The movie file is probably about 1.5 GB (much larger than the videos and short films you've downloaded before), which could take 20 minutes to download on a really fast connection (at a University), an hour or so on cable, 3+ hours on mid-range DSL, or a lot longer if your connection is slower than that. 8 hours does seem too long, but it's possible the problem is with your internet service, not iTunes. Your router is obviously not the problem if it still takes 8 hours after you've bypassed it.
For the iPod transferring problem, does your iPod have the latest software update (v.1.1.2, which came in the iPod Updater 2006-06-28 for Windows)? You can see what version you have by clicking on your iPod in iTunes and looking at the Summary, where it will tell you what version of the iPod software you've got and will let you download the new one if you need it.
And can you transfer music files to your iPod using iTunes 7 without problems? Can you transfer those old short films to it? Is it just the new movies that won't transfer?
You wouldn't be the only person to be having problems with iTunes 7 for Windows (I'm one of them, too), but it would be helpful to eliminate the basic stuff before giving up.

  • What is going wrong with this config ??

    Hello guys,
I am busting my head to find out what is going wrong with this config and cant figure it out since i am not an advanced cisco technician.
Problem is that i cant access the 94.70.142.127 server that is supposed to be in a DMZ zone.
I know it is a bit chaotic but would really appreciate any help since i am running on a deadline.
I am building the config step by step and although it seems to be working access to the server all of the sudden is denied.
No idea if its a NAT issue a firewall issue or a security audit issue.
    There are 3 vlans.
Vlan 1 is the inside network.
Vlan 2 is the DMZ server
Vlan 3 is the Management Network.
    thanks in advance

    Hello karolos,
    Here is the thing.
You said you are trying to access 94.70.142.113 and that is a server on the DMZ but based in your configuration that is not true
ip nat inside source static 192.168.0.101 94.70.142.113
So 192.168.0.101 is on Vlan 1 witch is the in-zone
    interface Vlan1
    description $FW_INSIDE$
    ip address 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0
    security in-zone
If you got confused with  the security zone that the host is assigned to then just add the following and it should work
    ip access-list extended WebServer
    permit ip any host 192.168.0.101

When I updated to iso7 my credit card information for my iTunes account is no longer valid. Tried to update my credit card information and it will not allow my current and valid credit card to be used and will not accept any of my other valid credit cards to be used.
What is going on? Am I missing something or is apple hijacking my paid for accounts again?

  • I have a new Mac and mail is showing thousands of incoming mails that do not show up on the computer.  does anyone know what is going on?

I purchased a Mac OS x 10.9 in December. When using Mac Mail i get thousands of incoming mails that do not show up on my computer.  Does anyone have any idea what is going on?  this sure never happened on my old mac. i have three email accounts.  gmail, verizon and hotmail.

I posted the same question a day ago with no response. I'm using an Acer x193w. You actually don't have to switch monitors to get it to work. Just make sure you turn off the monitor after shutting down the Mac mini (actually push the power button on the monitor, not just let it go to sleep). If you turn on the monitor (push the power button on the monitor), then power up the Mac mini, the monitor is recognized. The issue didnt exist with Snow Leopard for me. It only started after I started using Lion. Hope this issue gets fixed In a future OS update.

Safari problem:  when I switch back into safari from another application, the menu bar comes up but no tabs or windows.  What's going on?  Just started yesterday.  I have found a workaround: when I Command Tab back to safari, I hit command T to open a new tab and Command W to close it, and my other tabs are visible.
I have tried shutting down, closing tabs, with no success.  What's going on and how can I fix it?
    Thanks,

PS:  I'm not sure of the actual OS level, but I have not allowed it to upgrade to Maverick yet; concerned about it because of a few things I've read...

A Safari extension or third party plugin may be causing the menu bar issue.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
As for which OS X is installed.
Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
    The version is noted there.
v10.6 Snow Leopard v10.7 Lion  v10.8 Mountain Lion
It's your choice whether or not to upgrade to Mavericks. If you decide to do this, make sure your Mac meets the requirements noted here.

  • It works....and it doesn't....it works...and it doesn't...what's going!?

I am currently on my 3rd replacement Express. The first one I purchased worked well for a few days, then stopped syncing up with the cable modem. All features of the Express worked save the internet connection. To resolve this issue, the Exress had to be reset (shut off then and turn back on) along with the cable modem. After reseting, Express would allow internet use for 5-10 mintues. Anyway, I called Apple, they told me it was the modem... we had the cable people come and test the cable modem... the modem works. Called Apple back, they sent a new one.
The new one (#2) worked for about 1 week, then the same thing started to happen. I called Apple about it and they told me it was interference from other wireless appliances (cordless phone, etc). Well, we shut off our phone and all other electronics they listed as causing interference. Still the same problem as with the first. I called Apple back and they wouldn't do anything about... "Sorry, it is not our product" was essentially the reponse I got. Well, it stopped putting out any signal at all. I tried it in other locations to check for signal interference.... No signal at all. I called my local Apple retailer, they told to bring it in and they would check it... Yup. "It doesn't work," they said.
Now I am on my 3rd. It has worked superbly for the past 2 or so months (no problems staying connected to the internet), but is now starting to show some of the same symptoms meaning all features work (printing, airtunes) but connection to the internet is lost. Again, turing it off and back on along with the modem helps out for a while, but the internet connection is eventually dropped, though currently only after 30 min - 1 hour. I am worried this one will stop working like the others especially now that my warranty is nearly over.
Does anyone know what is going on? Any suggestions?

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Finally someone who understands! Apple has been less than sympatheticwith this issue... By the 3rd replacement they didn't want to take responsibility and came up with more and more reasons for it not working like "cement and bricks cause interference."
Anyway, we have used up to 3 machines (iMac, 2 Power Books) - when one looses connection, the others do too at the exact same time. You can hear sychronized groans through out the house!
What type of internet connection do you have? We are on Comcast cable - I am pretty sure it's not them or the modem because the modem works for weeks without problems when directly connected to the iMac/Power Book. But just thought I would ask.

  • My steam won't launch ever since I updated to Yosemite I don't know what is going on.

Whenever I try to launch it, it says "Steam quit unexpectedly" I have tried redownloading it 5 times and have every software up to date. I also have tried
deleting all my steam files and it still doesn't work. Here is a screenshot:
I also downloaded a program called EtreCheck that checks for issues so here is what it found:

  • I do not receive all my e-mailson all my devices. I seem to get them all on my iPhone 5s, but not all show up on my iPad and iMac. they are all set up the same. Any Ideas on what is going on and what I can do to remedy this? thanks

I have an iMac with OS X Lion 10.7.5,an iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.2 and an iPad with iOS 7.1.2. all software is up to date. My problem is I do not receive all my e-mail on all 3 devices all the time. I seem to get them on my phone , but not all show up on my iMac or iPad. Any ideas as to what is going on and what can I do to resolve this issue? thanks

On the iPhone, go into Settings -> Store and turn off "Automatic Downloads" for Apps (and Music and Books, if you wish). You can also do that on the iPad to prevent it from going in the opposite direction.
That will stop any automatic downloading... to prevent them from coming over when using iTunes, select the phone (under Devices), Apps, and then uncheck "Automatically sync new apps." Again, do the same for the iPad if you wish.

  • We use an Airport Extreme in my office, which works fine for me. Occasionally we need to have more than one computer running on it, but for some reason it won't connect to the internet. It says we have internet, but won't connect to wifi. What's going on?

I use my computer everyday in our office and have no issue connecting to the internet/wifi, but when my boss comes in and tries to connect it doesn't work. It tells her she has internet, but won't connect to the wifi. We've tried a few different tactics(the basic ones I've seen on here), but nothing seems to be working for us. My computer automatically connects to our wifi.
Just recently the Airport Extreme has started with the blinking amber colored light on the front, which I believe means something is wrong? Can anyone help us figure out what's going on and why we can't get my boss' computer to connect as it should?
    Thank you!

    Here's an update:
Now the light is not blinking. It's a solid, consistant green. I don't know if it helps to narrow it down or anything, but I just figured I'd mention it.
