Redo last action not working

I am new to Pages and am playing with it to see what it can do. In the course of this I have tried to do an action e.g.: copy and paste some text on the page, and then redo this action again somewhere else in my doc and "Redo" last action is greyed out. I wondered if this might be because of the type of action I was trying to do, so I tried again, this time applying a Paragraph style to some text one place in the doc and then trying to repeat this later on in the doc. Still nothing.
I repeated this process with several different types of actions and each time the "Redo" is greyed out.
Am I doing something wrong? I know that there is an alternative in that I can go and do each repeated action manually, but this takes more time when I have a 100+ page document to work on (and have RSI and prefer not to move my arm around too much.)

That is not what Redo is.
Redo undoes Undo. You can only Redo as many times as you have gone Undo.
To apply styles, create a new style in the Format sidebar, click on the text you wish to apply it to and then on the Named Style in Format. This applies to Paragraph, Character, List and Object Styles.
You can also Copy Style and Paste Style from under the Format menu.

If you have the Menu Bar visible when your VI runs - this Forms your Default VI run-time Menu. You will discover a built in Undo and Redo Functions under "Edit" Menu. This fuction can be added to your custom Menus or .rtm files.
However, this undo fuctionality is limited to data change only, which means it will erase the last control change. This Undo will not reverse any data propagated as a result of your last control change. Here is an example.
Say you are taking a continuously polled value of a String control and building a Path using this, and you have a Button that says "Process Path" which ends the polling and brings you out of the While Loop. In this example if you change the value of String Control and Say Undo you will be reverted to Previo
us Value. However If after changing the Value you Clicked the "Process Path" Button, you will be Out of your While Loop with the Path being built with the Last value of String Control before "ProcessPath" was clicked. Now Clicking Undo tries to Reverse the Last Control Which was "Process Path" This has no effect on Path Value. The Undo Function will not reverse the Data which has Propagated and take you backwards in the diagram. It will simply reverse the Data Changed on the last Control.
Therefore if you want a robust "Undo" and "Redo" you will have to program this functionality, Basically you will have to trap values of all controls and on data change remember these values. On Undo you can then Change the values of Controls back to Previous Value and Also take your Diagram back to Where the Last action had impacted any data propagation.
All this - mind you - is for a single level undo. It will get complex to do Multiple Level Undo.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Actions and Advanced Actions not working correctly. - Captivate 8

In our project, we have it set so that after every section the student is asked three quiz questions (they are set on the default quiz slides.) On success, the person jumps to the next question slide. On failure, the person goes to next slide which has two buttons - one that allows them to simply move forward to the next quiz question and one that allows them to go back and review. The "Go back and Review" button takes the person back to the specific content slide that contains the answer to the question they are being asked. This button is set to advanced actions "Jump to Slide ..." and "Show Button..." - The button is a 'Return to Quiz' button to allows the person to find the answer then try the question again. I know that the buttons on the default quiz slides cannot be programmed to do a specific action, but every time we click 'Submit' it seems fine until we click 'Next' to move ahead, it then routes us back to one of the content slides (Slide 7) instead of the next slide (if wrong), or the next question slide (if right). I have looked at the Advanced Interactions Window and there is nothing linking this slide to anything. I have not had this problem with any of our other modules or sections. I have tried creating new question slides and it did not work. I deleted Slide 7 and it worked fine the first time through the preview, but then when I viewed the preview again, it started jumping back and would not even let me get to the questions. Can anyone help?

Normally the Next button on a question slide is not needed, because it has the functionality of Skipping the question. It is however needed if you want to allow Review.
Another explanation is that you did change the normal work flow for a question slide, where a two-step process for submitting will take automatically the user to the next slide.

What did you do to need the Next button? If the user submits:
Feedback appears with the indication to press Y or to click on the slide, happens at the pausing point of the Question slide (default is 1.5secs)
When user presses Y or clicks, the actions Success/Last Attempt are executed if all attempts are exhausted, and you have only 1 attempt on Question level: the actions are by default Continue, but you can change it to 'Go to Next Slide' to shorten the waiting time (or drag the pausing point closer to the end of the slide).

Redo Last Action Plug-in

Is it possible to make a plug-in that could repeat the last action? For example, user rotates Object1, then selects Object2, run plug-in — and Object2 rotates in the same way.
I wanted to implement this plug-in via Undo / Redo list of commands but CmdStackItem class is closed for third-parties. So... maybe it is possible by handling all processed command and saving the last one. How do you think?

You can observe the commands, but the aktual task is not trivial.
There is no silver bullet to clone a command, you'd have to implement that for about 1591 commands.
Also expect many surprises such as
- commands that target multiple items ( that's a UIDList for a purpose ... ).
- commands that screw up their parameters - see the recent "duplicate swatch" thread
- commands that schedule or process other commands, across multiple levels
Btw, for the use case you described, there are already the menu "Object" / "Transform again" actions.

Buttons with page actions not working

Hi,
I have a folio with buttons that have actions such as "Go to Page", "Go to First Page" and "Go to Last Page".
I could export this folio with Folio Builder to the server and I could view it in my tablet with no problems.
However, today (August 30th) I exported the folio again and it's not working. All other overlays are working fine, but buttons with page actions just show their Click appearance and go back to normal.
My friend also teels me of this problem.
What happened?
My Content Viewer in my iPad is updated and I have made the last Folio Builder upgrade.

There was a bug in which these previously supported button actions (Go to Page and Go to First/Last Page) no longer worked, but I thought that bug had been fixed. Let me check on that. In the meantime, the workaround is to use the "navto://" format to jump to a different page within the same document. Use the "navto://articlename#n" format. The first page is 0, so #1 jumps to page 2. For details, go here:

Cross browser testing : Modifier Keys playback actions not working in chrome and Firefox

Hi,
In my work flow I have to select multiple items in list.So I have recorded 'Ctrl+Click' action to select list items.In Chrome and Firefox it is not selecting multiple Items.
Even Ctrl+A,Ctrl+C,Ctrl+V also not working in chrome and Firefox.Complete modifier keys support is not observed in chrome and Firefox.Let me Know how to automate modifier keys actions in cross browser?

First,please make sure the Chrome and Firefox is supported by cross browser testing.
Latest version of Chrome and Firefox supported by cross browser testing are Chrome version 38.0.2125.111 and
Firefox 33.
I doubt whether Chrome and Firefox in cross browser testing don’t support automating modifier keys or there is anything wrong on it if you are using supported browser. Since this issue is related to the Extensions tool
Selenium components for Coded UI Cross Browser Testing, if possible, I suggest you post this
issue here, click “Q AND A”, and then you could post this issue there, you would get dedicated

Setting of "opening web pages from last session"not works when open next time

In Options, setting to "open windows & tab pages from last time" does not work. I have tries several time but nothing happens. have written to you earlier also , please help

That would be very surprising but a change was made to Firefox 4 to always have the choice of going to History ("Alt+S") and choose "Restore previous session".
With Firefox 5 coming out in a few days (June 21-22) you might try again then, if the solution the developers built in does not work for you. Do you know about pinning tabs ('''app-tabs''') they persist across sessions as a convenience -- if I really want to keep something permanently then I would bookmark such things as a group. Because they can be closed easily.

"Show my windows and tabs from last time" not working, Mac OS 10.6.4, FF 3.8.10 or FF 4 Beta 6

I have tried any number of times to get this to work, but it's still not working. On my other Mac with OS 10.6.4 and FF 3.6.8/10 the "show my windows and tabs from last time" is working just fine.
I have checked some of the settings in about:config per some of the other forum posts with resolution to this issue, but this hasn't worked for me. Especially Since some settings have changed in the more recent versions of FF.
I'm pretty sure my settings are correct. Is anyone else having this same issue?
On the Mac exhibiting the issue it prompts me if I want to close all open tabs when the red X is clicked, when I quit firefox it keeps my tabs open just fine when firefox starts up the next time. This is normal behavior, but when the feature in question is active it overrides this behavior, on my other mac, and just stores my last session so that when I open firefox all is as it was before it was closed (either closing it via quit or with the red X will do the trick).
On my new mac, the prompt to close open tabs never goes away and my tabs just vanish, whichever way I close firefox.

If you use [[Clear Recent History]] in Firefox 3.5 and later to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.

Actions not working in illustrator cc

I've a list of actions that I've created in illustrator cs6, now that I'm using CC they're not working any more.
I get the message e.g. 'the object move is not available' or 'the object reflect is not available'.
Does this mean I have to recreate all of my actions again?
I'm using CC on OS X version 10.9.3 on a macbook retina

I've recreated all my actions in AICC 2014, because the ones I created in
AICS weren't working.
When I test the AICC 2014 newly created actions in AICC 2014 they seem to
work fine.
When I restart my computer and open AICC 2014 again and use the actions
they don't work. Please find attached a screenshot.
They default AICC 2014 do seem to work, so I'm not sure what is the problem.
Any help is much appreciated as I rely on my actions

Smart Actions not working properly after software update

My Razr updated 2 days ago and since then my Smart Actions are not working properly.
I have my Work action set to turn the volume down when I'm at a certain GPS. It shows that "Work" is active, but doesn't turn the volume down.
Also, there are times (since I've owned the phone) that it will not connect to the network after coming off a Wifi Connection without rebooting the phone. I took it into a Verizon store and they did a hard reset, and that fixed it for a time, but it started doing it again.
Any help appreciated.

Hi mcclainkb, Let's make sure your phone works as you expect it to! Have you tried removing the Smart Action and setting it back up again? Are your other GPS services working as normal? After the hard reset performed in the store did you install all of the same application that you had before?

Over State and actions not working with buttons in Flash cs4

Hi - I am working on a Flash file and some of the buttons in the document are not working.When I test the movie the hand cursor appears when I hover over the buttons they don't change colour (as specified in the over state) and the actions don't work. Not sure what is going on here as I created other buttons in the same document the same way and they work fine. Thanks in advance.

If you remove the code from the buttons do they react properly to a mouse over interaction?
What is the code that is in place?

First/Previous/Next/Last buttons not working in Applications Master Detail

I attempted to create an Applications Master Detail UI by selecting Applications : Master Detail from the Applications Component Palette. I created the UI using my headers table (APPLCORE_SHIPMENT_HEADERS) as the master and the lines table (APPLCORE_SHIPMENT_LINES) as the detail. The master is shown as a form and the details are displayed as a table below. On the screen with the checkboxes to include First, Previous, Next, Last buttons, I checked all of them.
On the backend, my headers table has two rows.
When I ran the page:
1. When the page comes up, it shows the data for shipment header 1 and the associated details in the table below. This is correct.
2. However, the First and Previous buttons are enabled at the top. They should not be enabled since I am on the first record, and there is no previous record. This is incorrect.
3. When I click Next, the data does not update to the the next header record (shipment header 2). The data is still for shipment header 1. This is incorrect.
4. When I click Next once more, an Error window pops up:
Messages for this page are listed below.
ShipmentLineId Error java.lang.NullPointerException
ShipmentHeaderId Error java.lang.NullPointerException
LineNumber Error java.lang.NullPointerException
ItemName Error java.lang.NullPointerException
(same error is shown for all other columns in the lines table)
I was under the impression that we do not need to do anything special for the First/Previous/Next/Last buttons to work, other than checking the boxes in the page creation process.
The application in question is here:

The ui project specifically is in this folder:
/home/sheyu/jdevhome/descflexdemo/mywork/descflexdemo/ui/
I have tried to start from scratch several times to no avail. Please advise.

Actions not working in Illustrator CS6

I created some actions that work on my PC. They area currently working in CS3, CS5 and CC. I had a friend test the actions on their MAC which is running CS6. The actions did not work. I am desperately trying to figure out why they work in previous builds with no problems but so far 2 people with macs running CS6 cannot run them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
