Reduce Motion Problems iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.4
I've been having problems with my reduce motion setting. I usually have it turned on so I don't have the extra motion. But when I turn it off, it only stays off until turn off my phone. When I turn my phone back on then reduce motion is enabled. In other words after disabling reduce motion, it will enable its self after a reboot. Help!
I would suggest to update your phone to the latest iOS to see if that resolves the issue.

Seconded. Although my main problem w/ that zoom-out-as-app-loads effect is that I suspect it's the source of that annoying delay between app zooming open & UI being active/accepting input. When I switch between apps, after the zoom completes, there's 1-2 seconds where the app accepts no UI input at all. This seemed instantaneous in iOS 6.
(Oh, off-topic, but the control center is devilishly hard to sweep up. most of the time I accidentally start Safari or Mail.) -
Random crash and gyroscope problems (Iphone iOS 6.1)
Since the last iOS update (6.1). I have experienced a few problems with my Iphone 5.
First of all the day that i updated the iOS, i started getting random crashes.The screen dimmed and 2 or 3 yellow vertical lines appeared, and short after the Iphone restarted itself. The crash was happening mostly when opening the camera or any app that used the camera, but it will also restart by just browsing through the home screen (less likely). Then i noticed that some apps that use the gyroscope where locking up (like panorama 360), and a message telling me to restart the iphone because the gyro was locked up (i checked pressing home twice and the gyro wasn't locked). After the restart i worked for about 15 minutes, and the gyro would stuck up again (and the crashes were getting worse). I decided to do a factory recovery, and it solve most of the problems, but i still get 1 or 2 crashes everyday (maybe more, because i dont know if the cellphone restarts when it is in my pocket) (and it now doesnt restart by using the camera), and the gyroscope sometimes works fine, and very few times it stucks up, so i close the app that uses it, lock the gyro, give the phone a few shakes, put the gyro back on and it works again.
I'm trying to simulate the moments that the phone crashes or when the gyro stucks up, but i can't, it is just very random.
PD: The phone worked perfectly with iOS 6.0.1, could be a software problem? hardware problem?

The last two day i haven't experienced crashes but sometimes the gyro stucks.

IOS 7.0.3: Not impressed with new Reduce Motion update
I agree with others that the parallax feature was nauseating at times however the zoom in/out animations of opening/closing apps didn't bother me much. Maybe I was one of the few in this category however up until iOS 7.0.3, I truly enjoyed turning on the "Reduce Motion" under settings because it allowed me to turn off the parallax and still retain the the zoom in/out animations of iOS 7. Now with 7.0.3, it turns off the parallax as well as all the OS animations. I wish they had allowed two options under the Reduce Motion setting where one setting allowed you to turn on/off the parallax and another setting that allowed you to turn on/off the OS animations. I am curious as to what others think about this new update to the Reduce Motion setting in iOS 7.0.3. Thoughts?

Problems with IOS 7 and reduce motion (parallelex)
I had problems installing IOS7 so I had to do a recover but now I do not have the "Reduce motion" feature in accessibility. When I first tried to install IOS 7 I saw the feature, but when I had to reinstall IOS 7 I no longer see the feature to ensure that it is turned off.
Should I still see it? How do I make sure it is off since I can't see it?
Thanks for your help...Does anybody have even any thoughts on this and whether it might be a known issue of any kind? Anyone seeing this with other .wav attachments outside of Cisco UM ?

Please advise whether there are any settings other than "Reduce Motion" under iOS 7 that could help prevent motion sickness on an iPad 3 and iPhone 4S. I've set "Reduce Motion" on but it hasn't helped, I still get motion sickness within a minute or two.

IOS7.0.3 Reduce Motion fixes the problem for some, but goes too far.
In the past, reduce motion would disable the parallax effect, which is basically when the wallpaper shifts back and forth as you tilt the screen. This parallax effect was rather pointless to have, but it was pretty big on draining battery (I noticed around 10-20% longer battery life after turning Reduce Motion on).
Now, reduce motion not only disables the parallax effect, but all the zooming motions as you open apps or folders. The problem with this is that some people, such as myself, really enjoy those zooming motions. However, the parallax effect (wallpaper shifting) was pretty pointless and not too noticeable, so turning that off was fine.
I would like to have the option to turn specific things off. For example, an on-or-off button for the parallax effect. A separate on-or-off button for zooming motions when you open apps and folders. That way, I can still have the iOS motion I love, and save that much battery power at the same time. I don't really like the smooth overlay transition, it's not as exciting and it feels too much like Droid OS.Sorry but no point in telling us, Apple is not here this is just a user to user forum for technical support. I recently updated my Iphone 4 to IOS7, and while I over-all like the OS, I find it hard to use with the moving backgrounds and parallax screens. So, I played with my phone a little, but couldn't figure out how to disable these features, so I did some searching and found out it IS actually possible to disable by going to settings>general>accessibility and hitting "reduce motion".
and I'm sure you'll apprecite my woe when I discovered, the Iphone 4 apperarently doesn't have the option to disable it!
I understand that older models of phones won't have every feature newer ones do. I understand that I don't have siri, or AirDrop. However, I do not appreciate being FORCED to have a feature that causes nasua and motion sickness just because I have an outdated iphone.HELP. I have the same problem. That's because the 4 doesn't support the motion effects that option reduces to begin with. There is nothing to reduce.

I have a problem with my iphone 4. My 3G always stays activated but I lose my network signal. The bars all get lost and I'm not able to receive / send sms, mms or phone calls. Could you guys please help me fix this problem? Ios 5.1.1
I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated. -
After I've upgraded my iPhone iOS to 5.0.1, I got problems with connectivity. If my iPhone lose network, then it gets frozzen and I cannot make calls. After restart the telephone still does not work.

This is a typical response from the manufacturer. Did you try the fix that Lawrence mentioned. When Apple or any other phone manufacturer update phone software, they have the latest Bluetooth installed. It is usually the problem with the radio manufacturer that they devices are using the older Bluetooth protocols. You can try this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3581 and see if anything there helps, but generally it requires the radio manufacturer to update their firmware.

Smart Playlist problem on iOS 4.2 iPhone 3g
I don't know if it matters that I have an iPhone 3g or if this is a universal problem with iOS 4.2...
I have several smart playlists I use to manage podcasts. One for news and talk podcasts and one for fiction podcasts, but I suppose they could be anything. I have them set to grab specific podcasts where the play count is 0.
What I'm noticing since the last update is that they will play the first podcast fine, then get about 2 seconds into the next track and stop playing. Interestingly, while watching the screen today when a podcast ended, the next one started, then stopped, and when I clicked the button on the headphones, the screen said it was playing podcast 3 of 2. There were 3 originally, and when it finishes one, since the play count is no longer 0, it's deleted from the playlist.
I suppose I can manage them manually, but I've been doing it this way for years. It also keeps things nicely in sync between my iMac, iPhone and iPod shuffle.
Am I the only one seeing this?There is no legit way to downgrade.
