Reduce the depretiation amount.

hi all,
i have an asset and it's depretiation is higher than i want so i want to reduce it. deptretiation in 31.12.2010 is 1.494.591,48 but i want this asset depretiation in 31.12.2010 1.486.378,40.But i want this update happen just in one ledger. we have 0l and UF ledger we want this reduction in just UF ledger we have depretiation are 25 which is just for uf ledger.

You post adjustment to your depreciation doing Manual appreciation. You can create an asset trasnaction type with transaction type group 80 "Manual appreciation of replacement val." or gorup 89 "New valuation w/ depreciation adjustment". And limit the posting to depreciation 25.
NOTE: In OADB, deprecaition 25 must used GL indicator that posts to APC, if not no Accounting Document will be created in this posting, Target ledger group also is UF.
If the depreciation is not yet posted or planned only, try to change the depreciation key with correct one so the system will calculate depreciation automatically.
Thanks!

  • How to reduce the GR amount?

I have made the PO say for Qty1 for amount 1000 in FEB'09.
    I made the GR for Qty 1 & amount 1000 in Feb'09
Vendor given us the invoice reduce price for amount 500..Accounts dept book the IR & release the check. then period has been rolled off. Now how can we make the GR amount to 500?
    Pl advice..

Quantity variances occur if the vendor:
Sends a partial invoice for one or more deliveries
In this case, the system expects to receive more invoices (or return deliveries).
Sends an invoice for a delivery that the goods receipt has not yet been posted for.
In this case, the system expects further goods receipts (or credit memos).
Special circumstances exist for goods-receipt based invoice verification:
If goods-receipt based Invoice Verification has been defined for an order item and the goods receipt has not yet been posted, the system does not allow you to post the invoice.
If goods-receipt based invoice verification has been defined for a purchase order item, a goods receipt has been posted, and an invoice is now entered for a larger quantity, the standard system is configured to display a warning message. This enables you to post a quantity larger than that received at the time of invoice receipt even when goods-receipt based invoice verification is active

  • Is there any way to reduce the JPEG compression ap...

I'm wondering if there is any way to reduce the fierce amount of JPEG compression applied to photos taken with the 6220 classic? I'm 99.99% sure that there isn't, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
I'm a professional graphic designer with 15 years experience, and as such understand the technicalities of digital imaging better than most.
What the general public fails to understand is that ever higher megapixelage doesn't automatically equate to ever higher quality images.
The 6220 classic has a 5MP camera, which is one of the reasons I bought it, along with the fact that it has a Xenon flash and a proper lens cover. Its imaging quality also generally gets very positive reviews online.
However, the 6220 classic takes far poorer photos than my 5 year old Olympus digital camera which only shoots 4MP. Why is this? Many reasons. The Olympus has a much larger imaging chip, onto which the image is recorded (physical size as opposed to pixel dimensions), a far superior lens (physical size & quality of materials), optical (not digital) zoom, and the ability to set various levels of JPEG compression, from fierce (high compression, small files, low quality images) to none at all (no compression, large files, high quality TIFF-encoded images).
When I first used the camera on the 6220 classic (I've never owned a camera phone before) I was appalled at the miniscule file sizes. A 2592 x 1944 pixel image squashed into a few hundred kilobytes makes a mockery of having decent pixel dimensions in the first place, but then the average consumer neither cares about nor would notice the difference. They're not going to be examining & working on their images in Photoshop on a 30" Apple Cinema Display.
Is fierce JPEG compression (and an inability to alter it) the norm with camera phones, or do other camera phones (perhaps from other manufacturers) allow greater latitude in how images are compressed?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Believe me, I was very aware that this was a phone with a camera attached, not a dedicated camera, before I bought it. I went into this with my eyes open. I knew the lens, imaging chip, zoom, etc, would all be grossly inferior, but given all of this, surely the phone manufacturers should help to compensate for this by adding a few lines of code to the software to reduce (or ideally remove) the JPEG compression, or at least give the user the option to do so if they want? The fierce compression just makes images obtained with compromised hardware even worse than they would have been otherwise.
It adds insult to injury and is totally unnecessary, especially given that the memory card in the 6200 classic is 1GB but the one in my Olympus is only 128 MB! It's not as if lack of storage space is an issue! On the Olympus I can only take about 8 pictures without compression (although I could obviously buy a much larger memory card). On the 6220 classic, given the ridiculous amount of compression, there's room for over 1200 photos! It would be far better to let 70 uncompressed images be stored than 1200 compressed ones. Does anyone seriously need to take over a thousand photos on a camera phone without having access to a computer to offload them? I doubt it.
Also, compressing the images requires processing power, which equals time. If they were saved uncompressed, the recovery time between shots would be reduced, although obviously writing the larger files to memory may offset this somewhat.
Just to give people an idea, an uncompressed 8-bit RGB TIFF with pixel dimensions of 2592 x 1944 takes up approximately 14.5 MB of space. (The exact number of bytes varies slightly depending on the header information stored with the file). The 3 photos I've taken so far with the 6220 classic (and that I've decided to actually keep) have files sizes of 623, 676 & 818 KB respectively. An average of these 3 sizes is 706 KB. 706 KB is less than 5% the size of 14.5 MB, which means that, on average, the camera, after is records the 5038848 pixels in an image, throws over 95% of them away.
    I'm deeply unimpressed.

  • PR Contract PO not reducing PR commitment amount

    Hello,
When we follow best business practices, the PO doesn’t reduce the commitment amount of the PR line item because the link between the PR and PO appears to be missing.  We now have a large dollar amount of outstanding contract related PR commitments spanning several fiscal years.  Is there a configuration or business process that we missed?
I am the CO person and an issue was recently brought to my attention when a business owner ran standard commitment reports.  The business owner found the report was doubling the commitment amounts because the full dollar amount of the purchase request line item and the related purchase order line item were both displayed.  Apparently, the PO wasn’t reducing the PR amount.  This only seems to be happening with service contract related PR and POs.
The PR line item is created (transaction ME51N and ME52N) with doc type NB and then the contract is referenced to it (ME31K and ME32K).  The PO is then created by adopting the contract number (ME33K).  Both the PR and the PO are now linked to the contract.  We have our commitments activated (OKKP) up to FY 9999 and the PR has been flagged as ‘Affects commitments’ (field XOBLR in table EBAN).  As far as I’ve been able to find out, we have been following best business practices when creating our PR and POs when a contract exists.
I appologize if this question should be in the CO or FM area.
    Thank you for any replies,

Do you create the PO manually  in ME21N and  Link the Contract during creation process?
In that process,  you are losing the link between the PO and the PR.   Because in the System, your PR although linked to the Contract , has no Followup  PO linked to it.   The PO is only linked to the Contract.
The correct Practice would  be :
    1-  Contract Created.
2-  PR Created   with the Contract  in source assignment (either assigned Manually or via MRP -source list  ) .
3-  PO created  w.r.t The PR . either in ME21N or ME59N ( This   would ensure that your PO is now linked to Both  the PR and The Contract and the issue you are facing would no longer arise) .

  • How can I reduce the amount of storage my iPhone uses for messages?

Is there any way to reduce the amount of storage space my iPhone uses for Messages?  Can I limit the storage to the last year or some other limit (specific date, specific amount of storage etc.)?
    Thank you

I'm not sure there is a solution to your question, other than to not keep so many photos on your devices.  If you delete a photo from photo stream, it will delete it from all your devices.  To keep them, first save them to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll), then import them to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  However, given the number of photos you have, a much more practical solution would be to transfer them to your computer using an app like PhotoSync, which will select them all at once and transfer them over wifi.
I'm not sure why you're seeing such a discrepancy in the amount of space taken up by your photos.  It's possible that something is corrupt given the large number of photos on your device.

  • Reducing the amount of code in htm pages :-)

Hi, I recently had to reduce the amount of abap business logic in a view.
The view was in a large multifunctional bsp that someone else had written, and to which I needed to add some code.
That view consisted of many htm includes, each include having an enormous amount of business logic determining the choice and parameters of htmlb expressions that were to be rendered by that view.
Thus I had view1 with many such includes: <%@include file="page_or_fragment.htm" %> and the includes would include further includes.
All this meant that the bsp was at its limit: adding 10 lines of htmlb code caused a dump : too much abap, branch offset limit reached.
    End of project?
The solution was simple, once found with the help of discussions in this forum and the online documentation:
    1) Set the main controller lifetime to session.
    2) In the view called by that controller, replace the biggest include statement:
    <%@include file="biggest.htm" %> with the statement:
    <bsp:call url="controller_for_biggest.do" > </bsp:call>
    3) Do not code comp_id on that call (it is prefixed to code later if you do, and the bsp has not been written that way).
    4) Define a new view with the same content as the previous include, 'biggest.htm', let's call it 'biggest_view'.
    5) Take out the begin and end tags for the htmlb content, page, and form extension elements from 'biggest_view'.
    6) Define the new controller 'controller_for_biggest.do'
    7) The new controller creates and then calls the new view in the normal way in via call_view( 'biggest_view' ).
    So the project could restart.
    I hope this is useful.
    Kind regards David Lawn

    This is sound advice.
I have an application that suffered from these "growing pains" and so I redesigned much of it with your advice.

  • Reducing the amount of space

I'm attempting to use some code like this to make a tabbed
    page.
    <cfformgroup type="tabnavigator" style="indicatorGap:0;
    verticalGap:3;">
    <cfformgroup type="page" label="Contact Summary">
    <cfformgroup type="vbox" id="editForm">
There is to much space between the tab (contact summary) and
the first form element inside that tab. I've tried going over all
the formatting style options at the following URL:
    http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/7/htmldocs/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm ?context=ColdFusion_Documentation&file=00000677.htm
I just can't get that darn space out of there. I know it is
tough to see what I'm talking about without an image, but no
uploads to this forum that I can see.
    Anyone got a tip?

Thanks for your reply. I was going to take a screen shot and
link to it or something. Before I did that, I thought I would check
out the site you have listed beta.killtheheart.com... Well, guess
what! You have the same 'problem' that I am trying to fix.
Looking at your form, you have a number of tabs. The default
shows as the music tab for me. From the bottom of the music tab to
the start of the search box you have a lot of space. This is
exactly what I have, and I can't figure out what style will reduce
the amount of space that is shown there. It is waisting an entire
line, and I'm trying to squeeeze as much as possible on the form.

It is quite common for the program size listings to be wrong. To check the actual size of the Firefox installation, you can manually check the size of the Firefox [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory installation directory]. It is is typically around 26-30Mb, and the default location on 32 bit Windows is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
There are also a couple of other locations where Firefox stores data, check the size of the following folders as well.
Firefox also stores user data such as bookmarks and passwords in the [[profiles|profile folder]]. It should be inside this folder C:\Users\''username''\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
Firefox stores temporary files in the cache. To find the location of the cache, type '''about:cache''' into the location bar. It should be inside this folder C:\Users\''username''\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
The last 2 folders are normally hidden, you may need to set Vista to [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial130.html show hidden files and folders].

  • Reducing File Size by reducing the amount of embedded fonts

Currently we use coldfusion to generate a rather large PDF. We take the data and merge it with pdf forms and then combine all the forms into one large PDF. The end product of the PDF is rather large in size, when i do and audit of the space usage i notice that 89.40% is fonts which relates to almost 92.9 mbs. Is there a way i can strip some of these fonts either using coldfusion or adobe acrobat pro, and still maintain the integrity of the PDF?

It may be you can subset the fonts and not include the full fonts in the file. You might also consider replacing some of the fonts with others to reduce the total number. Removing the fonts is dangerous as the PDF may not display properly in such a case. There are some preflight macros that deal with fonts that might help -- worth looking at.

Deleting large data would have ultimately put ghost cleanup into action. You would not be able to free space using shrink operation untill it completes. So wait for time and then start shrinking. You should note that shrinking would cause fragmentation and
you would have to rebuild indexes after shrinking is completed
