Reducing space/lines between tables?

Using 5.2 (1860), I have several tables on a document and more lines of spacing between each than I'd like. I place the cursor between each table and hit delete, though that does not do it. How do I do this?
Thanks.

Hi southwestform;
Select the table and make some manipulation in its Text Wrap under Move with Text tab.
By default, Text Wrap is Inline With Text.
Change it to other than Inline With Text, i.e., Above and Below and so on.
Now try to add line spaces as needed.

  • Reduce space/distance between tables

    Hi experts!
    I just need to know how to reduce the distance between some tables.
    I have 10 tables of 1 row each, and I would like to show these 10 tables as one reducing the space until they are all together.
    The solution of combining with similar request it is not a solution for me.
    I guess there is a file where I can change the properties of the sections where I can fill the propertie of the distance with 0.
    I need to have this reduced distance just for this case, not for all the dashboards, columns and sections.

    Use the validation tool below.
    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.betteannesteele.com%2F
    You've got a closing paragraph tag on line 81 where none is needed.

  • How to get only one line between tables in database diagram?

    Hi!
    I'm using jdev 10.1.3. I've got a database schema with a lot of tables. I would like to have them in one database diagram in compact view with only ONE line between two tables even if there are more foreign key columns between the two tables. In the shema there are a lot of foreign keys with multiple columns and the diagram is hard to read.
    How to archieve this?
    Thanks,
    Carsten.

    hi,
    u should use the same variable across all your queries.In the WAD there is a propoerty "display same variable once". Check that.
    hope it helps,

  • White Lines in Tables

    I don't seem to be able to get rid of white lines between

    Not at all. Adding the cellspacing="0" will do the trick.

  • White lines in tables after conversion

    RH8 and Word 2007
    I've just done my first successful printed document, and some of the tables (only some) come across with white lines above and below the text that's in them.  If I delete the text, the lines stay there.  I've tried everything in Word I can to get rid of them (these are single-cell tables that contain Tips and such, with shading and a single outside border), but nothing seems to work.  Could it have something to do with the way I'm formatting the tables in RH?  Like I said, it's only some tables, but sometimes I will copy one and paste it into another topic and change the text.  That's the only thing I do that I'm aware of that might be "unusual."
    Thanks!

  • Line appearing between tables?

    A line is appearing between tables that I can't get rid of. I
    can't seem to make the tables touch. I took a screen of it; I don't
    want that line to be there in the white:
    http://aycu19.webshots.com/image/26338/2005650946393136015_th.jpg

    You have a mistake here -
    <td width="170" height="150" valign="top"
    class="sidebar_buttons"><a
    href="index.html" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()"
    onmouseover="MM_swapImage('Home','','global/nav/homebar_rollover.png',1)"><a
    href="index.html" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()"
    onmouseover="MM_swapImage('Home','','global/nav/homebar_rollover.png',1)"><a
    href="index.html" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()"
    onmouseover="MM_swapImage('Home','','global/nav/homebar_rollover.png',1)"><img
    src="global/nav/homebar_norm.png" alt="Home" name="Home"
    width="130"
    height="30" border="0" id="Home"
    /></a></a></td>
    Note the nested <a> tags ----------------^^^^^^^^
    That's wrong. Each <a> tag must be properly terminated
    <td width="170" height="150" valign="top"
    class="sidebar_buttons"><a
    href="index.html" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()"
    onmouseover="MM_swapImage('Home','','global/nav/homebar_rollover.png',1)"><img
    src="global/nav/homebar_norm.png" alt="Home" name="Home"
    width="130"
    height="30" border="0" id="Home" /></a></td>
    In fact, two of them were redundant, and I deleted them.
    Perhaps your line is coming from the spacer row at the bottom
    of the top
    table?
    <tr><td height="1"><img src="spacer.png"
    alt="" width="170" height="1"
    /></td><td><img src="spacer.png" alt=""
    width="530" height="1"
    /></td><td></td></tr>
    </table>
    Change this by removing the entire row -
    </table>
    and see what happens.

    what is difference between table space and shchema ?

    784633 wrote:
    so each user has it own space of tables - schema ?yes, but let's clarify a bit ....
    The "schema" is the collection of all objects owned by a particular user. So if user SCOTT creates two tables, EMP and DEPT, and a view EMP_RPT, and a procedure GET_MY_EMP, those objects (tables, views, procedures) collectively make up the SCOTT schema.
    Those objects will be physically stored in a tablespace.
    A tablespace is a named collection of data files. So tablespace USERS will be made up of one or more data files. A specific datafile can belong to one and only one tablespace. If a tablespace has more than one data file, oracle will manage those files as a collection invisible to the application - much like the OS or disk subsystem handles striping across multiple physical disks.
    A specific object in the SCOTT schema can exist in only one tablespace, but not all objects of the schema have to be in the same tablespace. Likewise a tablespace can contain objects from multiple schemas.
    and can one user to access tables of other users?As others have said - FRED can access tables belonging to SCOTT as long has SCOTT has granted that access to FRED.

  • Space between tables in dreamweaver

    Cellpad = 0, Cellspace = 0 and Border = 0 but there is still a space between tables. I checked in explorer and chrome, same thing. Suggestions?

    This is not a DW or even a table problem - it's a 'you' problem! ;-)
    What you are seeing is the space that is reserved below inline elements to accommodate text descenders. Make that image have the CSS style of "display:block" and you will see the gap vanish.

    In the Folders Tab, right click on  folder  then click Reveal in Explorer. This will open an Explorer window with the folder selected.  In Explorer you can right click > Properties or navigate to whatever you want to measure.

  • Why is there a thin dark line between two of my three cover images that wasn't there before?  When I delete the images, you can tell that there is extra space between the first two image boxes.

    Getting ready to purchase my first book, I looked over everything once more and noticed that there is now a thin gray line between the first two of my three cover images.  I believe this may have happened when I switched out the left image.  When I delete the images, you can see an extra space between the center and left image boxes.  How can I fix this without starting over?

    Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.

  • Huge spaces between tables

    I cannot seem to eliminate the huge space between tables.  I have set the td to vertical align top but it seems to make no difference.  Example: http://blandheritage.org/GENEALOGY/numberingsystem.html

    There are no tables on that page.  Everything is either an absolutely positioned div, or a paragraph contained within an absolutely positioned div.  The huge space is caused by your (INLINE) positioning of the apDiv12 -
    <div id="apDiv12" style="position: absolute; left: 10px; top: 1016px; width: 994px; height: 1452px; z-index: 10">
    I count 90 such absolutely positioned elements on your page, which could be the poster child for why one shouldn't use absolute positioning as a primary layout method (http://www.apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php).  Just use your browser text size controls to increase the browser's display of text a couple of ticks and see what happens to your layout (in Safari I just use Command-+).  Two ticks, and the contents have overlapped so much that the page becomes unreadable.  I recognize it my be too late to inform you of this fundamental mistake in your approach on this page, but if I were you, I'd fix it.  Who would ramp up the text size like this?  Anyone with vision problems who may have their browsers already set at a large text display for readability - you have no control over that....
    The good news is that this is the only page I see on your site that is built this way - all other pages are table-based, and while that approach is also uber-retro, at least it doesn't suffer from this potential overlapping problem.

  • No page break between table header and first line of the table main area

    Hi all.
    I'm printing a form which contains a lot of tables. Sometimes while printing the table header line remains at the bootom of  the page and the lines of internal table are printed on the next page (also with header because i have marked 'at page break' in the header). How is it possible not to break header line of 'Table'-node and the first line of internal table?
    Regards, Nikolai.

    Hello Niki,
    try to use page protection......
    create a folder and place the text that r to be displayed without break.........
    and check the checkbox page protection.
    I think you cannot put an entire table in a folder & turn "Page Protection" on simultaneously.
    Any ideas?

  • How can I change or reduce the line spacing to single in a "multiple lines of text" column in a list?

    We keep many logs in a simple list format. One of the columns requires a description using the "multiple lines of text" default column. Sometimes the person making the entry needs to complete about 20-30 lines of text. Users are requesting we reduce
    the amount of space advanced between lines to save space and be more concise. Is there a way to reduce the line spacing for the column entries to single spacing without code?
    Maree N Percival

    We determined that the site column settings were incorrect for allowing single spacing, we changed the site column setting from "Enhanced rich text (Rich text with pictures, tables, and hyperlinks)" to  "Rich text (Bold, italics, text alignment, hyperlinks)"
    and it is now keeping the text in single spaced lines.
