Ref: Having trouble to install visio 2013 alongside with office 2007

Hi,
I am trying to install Visio standard 2013 on a desktop computer which  has already  MS Office Suite Pro 2007 installed. Every time i try to install it, it keeps pop up the window saying that i need to uninstall per-release or beta version in order
to install Visio 2013. I have checked my computer all the way and even i have run fix it from Microsoft.Still popping up the same window...Any suggestion..Please

Did you install the Visio Professional 2010/2013 trial version before even you have removed it? Office trial version cannot coexistent with Office production final release.
I notice that you have run fix, could you tell me the hotfix package you've tried?
At this point, please try to remove Office 2007 totally by the
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us and then install Visio Stardard 2013 first.

    Does Visio 2013 work with Office 2010?

    Take a look at this Microsoft KB
    KB2784668
    It has one reference to Visio and the support / install order of Office.
    Now with that said, regardless of 2010 vs. 2013, you can NOT mix 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Office.
    For example, lets say I installed Office 2010 SP2 64-bit
    (FYI... How to determine Office 2010 SP file version
    KB2121559)
    I then want to install Visio 2013 32-bit, the install will not work.
    You cant mix 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Office Products.

    Stackoverflow.com)
    Above article is dependent on Full Office being installed...  You can also query the DisplayName REG_SZ key as well, it will report back the Office version.
    Registry Location:
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
    Look for the Office GUID in my example for 2010 64-bit SP2....
    Now with the above said, below are notes from one of our desktop support techs in regards to issues we have seen internally running Office 2010 32-bit SP1 and SP2 on Win 7 x64 Enterprise with Visio 2013.....
    Office interops. The ability for office and other applications to communicate with other office apps.
    The first instance today: User sends corporate communications from word using the send to mail recipient feature. After visio 2013 installed, he received a message stating that word could not communicate with outlook, to either repair office or check the
    server. Office was repaired, new outlook profile created. After research, discovered the office is sensitive to various versions in regards to interops. Discovered that Visio 2013 was installed around the time user experienced issues. After uninstalling visio,
    when launching word it began to configure (like for a first time install), the send mail to recipient feature began working. This probably will affect anyone with visio 2013. Visio 2010 was not reinstalled afterwards, as user barely uses it and was hesitant.
    Installation files are still on his machine in the event that he does need it reinstalled. Office version is 14.0.7109.5000 User is on Office 2010 SP2
    The second instance today: Teammate stopped working 3 weeks ago according to user. After working through several support groups here and working with the vendor support, the vendor noted that some dll’s from the application were not registered. If that didn’t
    fix it they suggested a reimage. After registering the dll’s, issue persisted. After further troubleshooting, determine that the feature that did not work for user consisted of teammate downloading information from a system, parsing it, then outputting it
    to a word document. The application provided no error of any sort, it just would never get to the word document portion. Discovered that Visio 2013 was installed around the time that the issue occurred, and that the issue appeared to be related to office interops.
    I uninstalled Visio 2013 and it began working as designed. In both cases Visio 2013 had been installed on 11/25/2014 (I didn’t see any corporate communication about an upgrade, but maybe one took place?). Office version is 14.0.7109.5000 User is on Office
    2010 SP2
    I’m not sure if you have much experience with interops, but pretty much anytime you want to communicate with a different office application, that is how it is done. Per my reading through various Microsoft KB’s and support forums, different version interops
    do not play well together always. It appears that these applications are trying to communicate to office 2010 (v 14) using 2013 (v15) interops, only after installing visio 2013 professional. Users were both Windows 7 x64. We also had a group of several users
    who also ran into issues with sharepoint not working in any browser, turned out the problem was Visio 2013 was well....
    Feel free to research more, but my own research comes down with having both 2010 and 2013 interops on the machine. To simplify it, the applications and office apps are being told to communicate using office 2013, and but only listen in 2010, causing problems.
    Its not causing problems with every simple interop, or we would see it far more widespread, but we are going to continue to see the “ghost” issues where Visio 2013 is the root cause, but nothing is really going to scream it.

  • How to remove OCS and install lync 2013 on MS Office 2007 and 2010

    Hi,
    We need to install lync 2013 on our systems having office 2007 and 2010 via SCCM 2012.
    Please suggest.
    Regards, Syed Fahad Ali

    Lync 2013 no longer has its own installer, but instead uses the Office installer.  You can create a customized installation and deploy it just like you do with Office:

    Hello, I am having trouble re-installing itunes on my PC. error message keep popping up "Apple mobile device failed to start, verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

    The thread mentioned above now has some out of date direct links. This is a more recent version of that post...
    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

    Hi,
    I noticed that you have posted the same question in SharePoint forum. Please post the thread by using English, we can understand your issue cleanly.
    You can login your system administrator account and unhide the hidden files in explorer. Then open c:/MSOCache when you open this folder it will ask for permission press ok to view. The error can occur because of the permission is set to no in this folder.
    Run 'Fix it' from the following KB link to remove any existing Office installation files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501
    If the problem persist, scan your computer with antivirus software and re-download the Visio and install Visio 2013 again.

  • Standalone Project/Visio 2013 package using Office Deployment Toolkit?

    Hello all,
    As per the title, is it possible to use ODT to produce standalone Project/Visio 2013 packages without Office in there? I've tried it couple of times now but it will always ended up having the rest of the office suite in there.
    Here's an example of the configuration.xml used:
    <Configuration>
    <Add SourcePath="C:\Temp\" OfficeClientEdition="32" >
        <Product ID="ProjectProVolume">
          <Language ID="en-us" />
        </Product>
    </Add>
    <Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />
    <Logging Path="%temp%" />
    <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />
    </Configuration>
    Any ideas? I've tried using the Sequencer to sequence Visio by itself but everytime it launches, the wizards will run on every launch even though I've already ran them once.
    Thanks in advance!

    No. You can restrict the application using the XML configuration.

    Hi! I have an x-mini headset which im having trouble pairing to my iPhone 5s with bluetooth, any tips please?

    Cellular calling doesn't yet work reliably.
    Make sure you've followed the instructions in this support article. Note that both iCloud and FaceTime on the Mac must be signed in to the same Apple ID; those are two separate steps. Also note that the Mac and the phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Ethernet won't work. Trying to pair the phone to the Mac as a Bluetooth device won't work either.
    If cellular calling still doesn't work, sign out of FaceTime and sign back in. You may have to do the same on the phone. The email address that you use as your Apple ID must be able to receive FaceTime calls.

  • Can Contribute Keys be sent with Office 2007 installed?

    Maybe Contribute 4 does not work with Office 2007 beta TR? I
    have Outlook set as my emailer. Clicking on send key just hangs
    Contribute. So is the workaround just to save the key to disk and
    send via email attachement? Is that all that function does anyway:
    mailto: with attachement?

    Hi Tatiana,
    This is the know issue. I have experienced this issue with one of our client. The cause of issue as below -
    Scenario
    You have 2007 Microsoft Office installed on a computer.
    On the same computer, you also have a Microsoft Office 2013 application installed, such as Microsoft Lync 2013 or Microsoft Word 2013.
    SOLUTION
    To work around this issue, remove the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support program component from the Office 2013
    installation on the affected computer or computers. To do this, follow the “Install or remove individual Office program components” section of the following Microsoft Office website:
    Install or remove individual Office
    programs and components
    (http://office.microsoft.com/redir/HA010354261.aspx)
    After you complete these steps, repair 2007 Office. For more information about how to repair the installation, click
    the following article number to go to the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    924611
    (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924611/ )
    How to install the individual 2007 Office features or to repair the installed 2007 Office programs
    Note When
    you follow these steps, set the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support
    component within Office Tools to Not Available.
    This solution doesn't apply to scenarios in which SharePoint Designer 2013 is installed on the affected computer.
    You can find further details here at Microsoft support site -

    Hope this helps you.

  • Error 25004 installing Visio 2013 Professional

    I am having trouble installing Visio Professional 2013 on Windows 8.1. I have Office 365 installed, and had previously installed a trial of Visio. I have un-installed the trial version, and am now getting an error 25004 at the end of the install process
    for the licensed version. The error indicates that the product key is not valid, but there is no option to add or change the product key (very frustrating), and the error only comes at the end of the (very long) install process, also very frustrating.
    A couple of other posts have suggested deleting files/directories in the program files/common files directory, but that did not help.
    Any other ideas?

    Hi,
    If we get the error message: "Error 25004. The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine", the 25004 error is typically an indication that this trial bundle had been installed previously in this Windows installation. I suppose
    that the previous Visio trial was not removed completed in your pc. I recommend you use "Offcat tool" to scan your pc and get a detailed report of your installed Office programs.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2812744/en-us
    Next, we also can try to Installed Hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2968890
    Downloaded Office application without SP1 and installed
    Then, we may go to registry path to check if there are some keys related to Office.
    32 bit version: HKLM:\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
    64 bit version: HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
    Note: Backup the registry key before delete.
    Once done, start the computer in clean boot and re-install Visio.

  • I have a 27" imac (intel) my hard drive failed and I installed a new one. This is my first time dealing with this so I am having trouble re-installing the OS. Install disc spits out and ? mark with folder appears what am I missing?

    Like the title says. My 1 TB drive failed and unfortunately my computer isn't covered on the replacement program even though my hard drive is the one they are claiming to replace. So that is not a solution just to get that out of the way. So I replaced the hard drive. What I am having trouble with is re-installing my OS. I have 10.6. When I load it and restart it just spits it out and I get the question mark folder. What am I doing wrong is there a step I'm missing? I did do a back up to my Time Machine before the crash. Can I plug it into it and reload format? I'm new to this so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Well, let's hope that nothing was jiggled out of place when you were installing the new hard drive. Your optical drive may just be out of alignment or the disc you have is "dirty." Get a lint-free cloth and some rubbing alcohol, then clean the disc as thoroughly as you can starting from the center and working outward in a concentric circlular motion. See if that helps. In particular clean the inner portion well.
    If this does not help, then you have a problem. You have opened the computer yourself. That action voids all support from Apple. If you take the computer in for service the store may refuse to service the computer. This is not related to your now expired warranty.

  • Problems installing Visio 2013 Professional on my Windows 8.1 system

    I have a recently built developer machine with Windows 8.1 Professional.  I have Office 2013 installed and running in 32-bit mode.  When the 64-bit install of Visio failed we got the 32-bit setup for Visio 2013 plus SP1.  That failed so I
    went out and downloaded the 32-bit "Visio 2013 Professional Preview" to get that installed instead.
    In both cases when I double-click the setup the behaviour is identical for both installs:
      The administrator approval screen pops up and I approved it.
       The Extracting Files screen pops up and goes to completion.
       The 'busy' cursor starts, disappears, restarts, and disappears once again.
       After that there is no sign of the setup process.  It just disappears.
    I did the Universal Microsoft Fix and rebooted my machine but got the same behaviour again.
    Visual Studio 2010 Silverlight 4.0 using Unity and Prism Expression Blend 4.0

    Hi
    Yes that is correct, if you have 32 bit version of office installed you need to install the 32 bit version of Visio.
    Can you right click on the setup file and then select "run as administrator"
    Perhaps restart your machine and then try the setup again. Also look for any errors in the event viewer.

  • Having trouble re-installing my OS... Please help.

    Hi.
    I just bought a new Mac Pro so I migrated all my files from my old PowerMac G4 Dual 1.42 Mirror Drive. Now I am trying to set up my old Mac to sell. The original install disks that came with the PowerMac are for OS X 10.2... I wanted to try to sell it with 10.4 installed. I have a 10.4 disc that I thought was the full install but turns out it is just an upgrade. I dont have a 10.3 upgrade disk.
    This is what I have done (before I realized my 10.4 disk was just an upgrade disk):
    I inserted the 10.4 disk and started the install. Then I used the disk utility to erase both hard drives in the PowerMac. Then tried to install 10.4 but since it did not have 10.3, it would not install (this is when I realized this was an upgrade disk). So I eject that disk, insert the original 10.2 install disk that came with the PowerMac aand booted up holding down the "C" key. It tries to start... I get the grey screen with the Apple and the spinning status circle, but then it goes dark grey and says you must restart by holding down the power key. It does this every time and I have tried a lot.
    I used to have Apple Care on this PowerMac but it expired. I have Apple Care on my new Mac Pro. I called tech and they took the time to suggest unplugging for 30 seconds, resetting the PRAM, and trying again. Tried this several times with the same result.
    I have never had any hardware problems with this computer. I think I need to replace the battery in it because every now and again I have to cycle power to get it to boot plus sometimes the date and time is lost until the Airport fires up and resets it. I would doubt that could cause this problem.
    Does anyone have some suggestions before I have to give an arm and a leg to a service center.
    I really appreciate anyones ideas. Thanks a lot!

    Thanks for your help... I really appreciate it!
    I used the "option" key and it recognized the disc and booted. When I click the right arrow button, it begins to load the OS. It loads for a second and then some white static looking lines appear on the screen, the status wheel freezes and the cpu freezes. Tried several times with the same result. I bought this cpu used. I've had it for 2 years with no problems until now, trying to erase and re-install the OS. I did have a 5 port USB PCI installed and a second hard drive installed. I removed them bothe, reset the PRAM and ended up with the same result. Only other piece of hardware that may have not came with it new is the video card. It is a GForce Ti4600. I bought the CPU used and this was the video card I received with it. Could this be causing the problem? Do I need to locate a different video card now? Thanks for your help.

  • Problem opening documents from SharePoint (2013) libraries with Office 2010 and 2013 components installed

    Hi
    I've been encountering the problem of Office files failing to open from SharePoint 2013 libraries with the prefix of 'ms-excel:ofv|u|' etc. in the url. Following the
    helpful questions and answers in the forum, I've identified the likely cause as the fact that my main Office installation is 2010, but I also have installed OneDrive for Business 2013 (which I need in order to sync document libraries with my local drive).
    The solution I've seen suggested elsewhere of deactivating the SharePoint integration of Office 2013 components fails for two reasons: there is no way (or at least, I can't find one) of deactivating SharePoint integration probably because, deactivating
    SharePoint integration would likely stop the syncing of libraries/folders.
    One thing that I have noticed in my case that I've not seen mentioned elsewhere is that if I right-click a document and select 'open in new tab/window' the required
    document opens directly in the relevant office package. I don't know if this is a useful observation, but it seems to be new information.
    My question is, is there a way I can continue to sync libraries and open Office documents directly in Office 2010? My thoughts are possible changes to registry settings
    (which I can do, but don't know enough to find the correct ones myself) or (re)installation of software in some appropriate order to leave the correct settings.
    I have 'repaired' my Office 2010 installation without any observed affect on behavior.
    Thanks
    Ray
    (I've just seen a suggestion that Office 2010 SP2 may fix this issue. I've requested to test this, but whilst this may fix my problem, rolling it out to

    Hi,
    According to your description, it is a good way to do a test about office 2010 SP2, here is an article about this issue- limitations of using the OneDrive for Business sync app with Office 2010 applications , it may help you.
