Our requirement is to add infotype 0006, 0022, 0023.
Please suggest me how can I add these infotype  in ref. personnel no. field to autopopulate employee data.

Hi Lata,

  • Decoupling of customer infotypes; additional update mechanism

    Hi
I am currently working in a project, were we are trying to decouple a number of own / customer infotypes (9xxx-infotypes), according to SAP's New Infotype Framework.
In this connection we want to use the recommendations by SAP, stated in the paper: "Business Logic Guidelines for Creating & Migrating Infotypes".
One of the challenges we have is that in the validation methods of the check class for the indiv. infotypes, we need to update other tables (Z-tables).
The guideline says: "additional updates for tables that lie outside the PAnnnn name range must be processed via the so-called additional update mechanism".
Does anyone know what this "additional update mechanism" is? can anyone point me to some documentation regarding this subject??

  • Infotype Additions did not upgrade to ERP2004

    Hi all,
We have recently finished a test run of our upgrade from 4.6c to ERP 2004 in our DEV environment (we will be going to ERP 2005 instead in a few months). While I was looking around to see what has changed and what hasn't, I noticed that some infotype modifications did not come through. A couple of years ago we made extensive changes to infotype 565 (Retirement Plan Valuation Results), and in our upgraded box the infotype has reverted back to the orignal SAP format. I would prefer not to have to make all of the changes again. I had created an additional tab and subscreen, and the subscreen does not even exist in ERP 2004 now. Has anyone come across this issue? If so, how did you "fix" it? Do you know if this will be a problem when upgrading to 2005 as well?
    Thanks in advance.
    Mary

    Mary,
Other than SPAU I don't know what to tell you.  But if you find an answer can you please post it to this thread?  We are getting ready to upgrade our HR system from 4.7 to mySAPERP 2005 and if we come across something similar it would be great to know.

  • Start date personnel number infotype 0002 (Personal data)

    Hi gurus,
I have the following problem in SAP ECC6.
I created a personnel number with transaction PA40 with start date 200208.
In infotype 0002 (Personal data), after that I have filled various field, if I save, the start date changes from 200208 to 01011900.
    Could you help me please?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Adding to what Mr. Sai Naraynan has said.
See whatever happening at your end is absolutley correct you have to understand the logic behind that.
See Personal data infotype will contain the master data of an employee like name, ***, complete name, form of address etc... whuich is same from his birth so there is no need to have a validity starting from the date of hiring because this data is same from his birth thats why system automatically stamps a Birth date out there.
    Hope it clarifies your doubt.

  • Impact of NOT UPDATING infotype(Additional Action IT0302)

    Hi,
I wanted to know the functional and technical impacts if IT302 is not updated and maintained ?
    Regards,
    Jyoti

    Hi Jyothi shankar,
IT0302- Additional Actions are maintained, if more than one action need to be updated/maintained on the same calendar date!!
Functional: In any organization different actions (say hiring & termination & Promotion & change of Org unit & etc...) can not be done on the same day
Ex: you can not hire and terminate any employee on the same date, isn't it?
that is the reason we have additional actions for any updations required on the personnel action on the same calendar date.
Technical: It will update your records as per the personnel action you run!!
    Cheers,
    TG

  • How to configure Additional acquisitions and divestures

I am using YTD consolidation application. I wanted to know how to proceed to account Additional percentage of acquisitions and divestures while handling goodwill.
    Thanks and regards
    Naveen Vaddi

    Hi,
Infotype 0302 Additional Actions allows you to automatically log all of the personnel action types that are performed for an employee on a specific date. It allows you to perform and document several personnel action types for an employee in the R/3 System on the same day.
You can display and edit the data records logged in the infotype Additional Actions (0302) on the list screen of the infotype Actions (0000),
In Customizing for Personnel Administration, choose menu path Setting Up Procedures -> Actions -> Set up personnel action types to specify, among other things, the following:
whether you want to use the automatic logging of personnel action types in the infotype Additional Actions (0302)
which personnel action type should be saved, that is preserved, in the infotype Actions (0000) if you perform another personnel action type for the employee on the same day.
You can check the link below for detailed procedure for config:

  • Questions Regarding IGMOD & Additional Actions

thanks for your response. What i want to ask suppose i define infogroup with infogroup modifier with return value what purpose it basically served. Also what the terms non holders with body, non with holders without body, rehabilitants means in IGMOD,
Can you know what is Additional Action?
If you have any IDEA pls share because recently these questions asked me during a Interview
    Regards
    Surajit

    Hi,
Feature IGMOD provides the flexibility to run different sequence of infotypes for different group of employees based on company code , personnel area , personnel subarea, employee group , employee subgroups , infogroups etc. This modifier is one of the key parameters which determines infogroup definitions (V_T588D)
The sequence of infotypes can also be varied depending on the employees for whom the action is being run .
    Additional Actions IT 0302:
This infoytpe works in tandem with IT0000, and stores actions, which are not stored in IT0000. In this infotype , the records are not for a period but for a single , I:e from date and to date are same . Meaning of all the fields in this infoytpe is same as that of IT0000, and no separate config is reqd for this table .
SAP lets you decide , whether you want to use 'Additional Actions'or not . If you want to use Additional Actions then system switch ADMIN+EVSUP in table T77S0 must be set to 1.You need to activate this switch
IMG path :Personnel management >Personnel Administration > Customizing Procedures   >Actions>Set Up Personnel Actions > Activations 'Additional Actions'
    Hope this will help you

    Asiya

    Hello
In addition to above message, please note you must ensure if you want Z infotype for Personnel Planning or Personnel Administration?
You use following transactions to create Z Infotypes and their components:
o PPCI (Personnel Planning Infotype Copier) - PD
o PM01 (Personnel Administration Infotype Copier) - PA
In most cases we create "Personnel Administration" infotypes.
If you want steps for PPC1, let me know.

  • Maintaining IT0014 and IT0015 through Personnel Actions or PA30

    Hello,
I have one query. I would like to know the standard practise for maintaining the Infotypes 'Additional Payments' and 'Recurring Payments'. Is it advised to maintain those through Personnel Actions or directly through PA30? My client wants to know what is the good practise?
    Thanks in advance.
    Madhu

    Madhu
It depends upon the requirement of the client
Ex: in some of the cases we have food allownace will be the part of Structure and it is irregular income in that case the user has to maintain at the time of the hiring so in that case you have to maitain it in IT0014 and after some time he may ask the user to cancel the allowance and to add the income in special allowance etc
Comeing to to IT0015 it is one time payment in order to decide you have to check with the functionality of the wage type

  • Employee and applicant infotype

    HI all,
I need to know the concept of employee and applicant master data.
Also, the difference between employee and applicant infotype?.
    Regards,
    Shanthi

    Hi,
Find below characteristics of few applicant infotypes.
    1. IT4000(Applicant action):-The Applicant Actions infotype (4000) serves as a record of all applicant actions carried out for an applicant. These applicant actions can be:
Data entry procedures (e.g. Initial entry of basic data, Enter additional data )
Procedures that change the overall status of the applicant (e.g. Reject applicant, Put applicant on hold)
The time constraint for this infotype is 1.
    2. IT4001(Applications):- The Applications infotype (4001) is used to store information on whether an application was made in response to an advertisement, or is an unsolicited application.
The time constraint for this infotype is 3.
    3. IT4002 (Vacancy Assignment):-You can assign the applicant to a vacancy. The applicant will then be included in the selection procedure for this vacancy. The applicantu2019s vacancy assignment status shows where the applicant is in the selection procedure.
The time constraint for this infotype is 2.
    4. IT4003 (Applicant Activities):- Applicant activities are administrative stages through which an applicant passes during the course of the application procedure. Correspondence with applicants is also handled by means of applicant activities.
The time constraint for this infotype is 3.
    5. IT4004 (Status of Applicant Activity):-The Status of Applicant Activity (4004) infotype is a technical infotype that stores the status of the activities you have performed for the applicant.
    6. IT4005 (Applicantu2019s Personnel Number):-The system enters this number automatically in the corresponding Applicantu2019s Personnel Number infotype (4005) for all internal applicants. This means that it contains a data record for each internal applicant.
The time constraint for this infotype is B.
    7. IT0139 (Employeeu2019s Applicant Number):- This infotype can be used for following purposes.
An external applicant enters the company as an employee.
The internal applicant who is already a company employee occupies the vacant position
I think it will help you.

    Purnima

  • How to count no of rows affected by a ref cursor ?

    Hi,
I have taken a ref cursor inside the function since I want to return resultset to the calling application. I also need the NO. OF ROWS AFFECTED by the ref cursor. When I used refcur%rowcount, it returned me 0. Whereas actual no. of rows inside the table is 11.
As a workaround I created a integer variable v_rcount and again executed the cursor's query using count() to store the no. of rows affected by the cursor query. See definition 1 and 2 :
