Reference condition type wrt IV01 and PI01..

Hi PPL,
Can u plz explain Referrence Pricing condition wrt to the condition types :
IV01  and PI01,
Both are condition tyres pertaining Inter company ,IV01 has a Reference condition Type PI01 assigned to it.
What does it mean in the inter company scenario.Points for sure..:-)
Best Regards,
Subbz..

Hi,
PI01 condition type represents costs to Ordering company code (in other words revenue to supplying company code).
It is statistical condition type & meant for information purpose only.
Condition records for PI01 are created with the following key combination:
Ordering sales Org + Supplying Plant + Material
PI01 represented under pricing procedure RVAA01 is reference condition type for IV01 and the same is defined in the condition type IV01. Due to this these two condition types represent same value.
The condition type IV01 in intercompany billing document represents revenue to the Supplying Company. But its corresponding condition type PI01 in the billing document to the end customer is shown as a statistical item meant for information purposes.
The use of two different condition types in Intercompany billing is necessary to ensure that data is transmitted correctly to the financial statement (Component CO-PA).
Hope this provides you with your answer,
Regds,
Rupali

  • Reference Condition type

    Hi,
    Can someone share with me on the usage of the reference conditon type field in the condition type field? If i put in the PR00 as the reference condition type in PB00?
    How this will affect the price determination?
    Still quite new to price determination in MM. Hope someoneone can give me some guidance on it.
    Thanks.

    hi
    A condition type which can be used as a reference so that you only have to create condition records once for condition types that are very similar.
    Ex: AMIW and AMIZ, these both condi types are used for minimum order value.
    If  u maintain AMIW- (min ord value) condition type We have to assign this condition type to AMIZ (surcharge value) cond type as reference condition type. then only it will work it.

  • In what scenarios does Reference condition type is being used?

    In what scenarios does Reference condition type is being used?
    Please provide inputs.

    <b>Reference condition type</b>
    A condition type which can be used as a reference so that you only have to create condition records once for condition types that are very similar.You may need to use different condition types for the same condition. These can differ in the access sequence, the description, the reference stage of the pricing procedure or the calculation type, for example, you can enter the condition type under which the condition records are created.
    <b>Refer below example</b>
    Condition type MWSI only differs with condition type MWST in the calculation type. For this reason an entry is made in field ReferenceCondTypeMWST for condition type MWSI . Now, condition records only need be created for condition type MWST and not additionally for MWSI.
    Thanks and regards

  • Same condition type on header and item level = printing problem

    Hi
    I have a customer using some condition types on both item level and header level in quotations, orders, invoices ...
    In the pricing procedures it is customized (V_T683S-DRUKZ) that the conditions must be printed on header level (that is at the bottom of the documents).
    My job is to make the Smartform to print the documents, and I want it of course to be as close to SAP standard as possible.
    SAP standard will print these conditions on header level even if the conditions are at item level, but my customer wants the conditions created on header level to be printed on header level and conditions created on item level to be printed on item level.
    I'm no pricing expert, so my question is:
    Will it be fair if I tell the customer that using the same condition types on header and item level is bad practices - or at least bad karma?
    Best regards
    Thomas Madsen Nielsen

    Hi Shiva Ram and Madhu
    I have no problem understanding header vs. item conditions, so I really don't see anything in oss note 876617, that is relevant in this case.
    Madhu - I do not agree that everything is fine. My issue is that I want to stick as closely to SAP standard customizing as possible. In SAP standard customizing of a condition type you can use the flag V_T683S-DRUKZ to determine if the condition should be printed on header OR item level - you can not choose both header AND item level.
    I have a SAP standard smartform using two functions modules for reading header and item conditions. RV_PRICE_PRINT_ITEM and RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD. These function modules are based on the DRUKZ customizing flag and a condition marked for printing on header level will be supplied by RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD even when the condition is on item level.
    My point is: SAP standard customizing does not support printing of same condition on both header and item level. I can of course write tons of code to work around this problem, but that would be bad practices

  • Condition type for landing and clearing charges for imports

    All SAP Gurus,
    Which standard condition type to be for Condition type for landing and clearing charges for imports?
    Regards,

    If both Condition types are Quantity basis then you can Create New Condition types by Referring FRA1 & FRC1 Condition types.
    Else Create New Condition types called ZCCH for Clearing Charges by giving the Following inputs:
    Condition class A
    Calculation Type A
    Condition Category B
    Plus/Minus A
    Also in Control data Check Accruals option and in Scales tab give Scale Value as 2 if want.
    Create New Condition types called ZLNC for Landing Charges by giving the Following inputs:
    Condition class A
    Calculation Type A
    Plus/Minus A
    Uncheck Accruals options and save.

  • Condition types for Insurance and Duties - Export sales

    Hi Friends,
    Please let me know the condition types i can make use of for capturing the Insurance and duties paid during export salesand also the condition type for capturing the commission.
    Thanks
    Ivy

    Dear ivy
    You can create zee condition types on your own and maintain the required datas.  I am just give you one example for insurance.
    Go to V/06, copy some standard discount condition type and rename it as ZEIN and maintain the following:-
    Cond. class:::::::::::::::: A
    Calculat.type::::::::::::::: A
    Cond.category::::::::::::::C
    Rounding rule::::::::::::::::Commercial
    Plus/minus::::::::::::::::::::blank
    Manual entries:::::::::::::::D
    Amount/percent::::::::::::::X
    Value::::::::::::::::::::::::::::X
    In V/07, you can maintain the following tables
    033:::::::::Incoterms
    307::::::::Customer with Release Status
    So in VK11, either you can maintain the insurance percentage for Incoterm or Customer, so that whenever you generate sales order with multiple line items, this condition will automatically bifurcate the insurance percentage.  Also the most important is that in your pricing procedure, against this condition type, you have to assign EIN as Account Key.
    thanks

  • Pricing Condition type controls- Formula and condition records

    Hello experts
    I have one question in pricing.
    Is it possible to determine the value of a single condition type by means of the maintained condition records vs a formula depending on the scenario?
    Eg- In my case for the requirement is:-
    If in my sales order the item category is X or Y then i need to use the condition records to determine the value of the condition type  say ZCON but if the item category is Z then i need to use a custom formula?
    Can this scenario be achieved using only one condition type with the appropriate formula or do i have to maintain separate condition types to achieve it?
    Thanks for your inputs.

    I believe it can be achieved with the single condition type. Since the routine assigned in the Requirement in pricing procedure controls the system's access to condition records...create a new VOFM routine which should check the item category and if satisfied, the condition records will be accessed.
    If the requirement fails and a value is not determined, the routine in the alternate calculation type should handle the calculation (based on PR00 value etc.,) and determining the value for this condition type. If not possible this way, should be able to handle this requirement through a userexit.
    Your condition type should be configured allowing both automatic and manual entries.
    This is just a wild guess.

    yes , that is standard functionality only.
    One is for Credit and second is for Debit note.
    If you want to change the price you can change it manually.

  • How to implement the Reference Condition Type

    Dear Friends,
    My Client is using the Refernce Condition type ZMWS which is referencing MWST condition type. He has implemented the same for one company code already. When I am creating a Sales Order, I am able to get the condition type MWST for the newly created condition type ZMWS through the condition record maintained for MWST.
    But when I am doing the same for other company code I am getting a pricing error as it is saying mandatory condition ZMWS is missing.
    I am not getting any clue what to do. Do I need to maintain any settings?
    Thank you,
    Prakash K M

    Dear Prakash,
    In V/06, detail screen of condition type, under under master data you have to give the reference condition.
    Regards,
    Abhee.
