Reference Text in Treasury posting

Dear Expert,
Is there a place/field that I can use while posting Money Market (TM01) to enter the reference/short text? This reference/short text will then be displayed in FBL5N or FBL3N. This is needed as easy to monitor the transaction.
Can you please advise?

Firstly what text/id you are moving from Treasury to FI with TBB1?
Secondly, since you maintained reference in the transaction master it have posted for orignal cash flows with TBB1. TBB4 is only posting accrual entries for that transaction and not actually calling all transaction master to FBL3N as it is not relevant as per standard function.

Is the highlight pink? That means a missing font. Check Type>Document Footnote Options and see what paragraph style you have set for Footnote Formatting, then check that paragraph style. Also, click into the footnote to see if the type has any local override that is changing it from what is defined in the paragraph style (look for the + next to the paragraph style's name).

Maximum size to reference text fields in report painter

I have created a library for report painter but reference text fields were not transfered because of their size exceed 24 character long. is there some SAP procedure to extend this size at the moment we are creating the library? Thanks in advance for support me.

Firstable I created a structure evaluation using SAP TC MCS7 and took the own customized table that was set up for SPL porpuses. this table contains several fields including text fields and now we would like to take them for set up several report painter but I noticed that this kind of fields are not available when I created the library using GR21 also when I tried to create the set using GS01 appeared a error "this field is bigger than 24 characters" or something like that.

ML85 - approval overwrites Reference text in all SES

Hi,
Why is the reference text is overwriting with the text from first SES to all SES approved in ML85 screen ? For instance, in below screen, the pop-up appears only once with the text from first SES and when the approver goes ahead, it applies the text for all three SES approved in this session. Ideally, looks like this pop-up should appear three times with header data from three SES in this case because three SES are involved. Is this a bug ?

How do I preserve cross reference text when exporting to XML?

I am exporting my Framemaker documents to XML. However, when I open the raw XML, the reference formatting is obviously gone. So instead of seeing, say, see Figure 6. I now see, see .
Is there some way to preserve this on export?

The normal behavior is to have an empty element with the ID/IDRef markup that allows the xref element to be resolved again afterwards, by whatever post-processing step you put the XML through. The text of a cross-reference is a FrameMaker formatting artifact (not unlike a paragraph format, etc.) and is intentionally discarded during export. If you reimport the XML with the empty element, FM will re-resolve the xref, and then will restore the text using whatever format it originally had (the format name is also stored as markup).
If you want to preserve the element tag of the xref, I don't think there is any way to preserve the text, unless you write an import/export API client. You could possibly use an XSLT stylesheet to repopulate the text in some cases, but this seems like a process fraught with many complications.
If you do not care about the element tag, the manual says that you can just unwrap it, then you'll get the xref text. Here is a (rough) snip from the Structure Developers Guide:
Translating FrameMaker cross-reference elements to text in markup
You may not want your FrameMaker cross-reference elements to remain elements in the
markup representation—you can choose to translate them to text instead. To do so, use
this rule:
fm element "fmtag" unwrap;
where fmtag is the FrameMaker element tag for a cross-reference element.
All of this does beg the following question, though... why do you want to do this, especially if the text is referencing figure numbers, page numbers, etc. that have no relevance in the markup? Normally, it is expected that preservation of the markup is the essential thing, allowing the text to be regenerated later by whatever process uses the XML (perhaps including FM). If you drop the element tag, the actual link will be permanently lost.

Cross-References Text Dropped?

I'm having a problem with cross-references exporting to XML. I'm using Frame 8, and I have associated an element as a FrameMaker "cross-reference". I then go to insert that element and everything seems to work properly (no errors). But then, I open the XML and get something like the following: <l2item><para>Approval for Return to Service Procedures. See <refint refloc = "RSM0420" reftype = "Heading & Page"/>.</para></l2item> So, it drops the text of the link and replaces it with a "." and then also does not close out the tag "</refint>". Any ideas of what is going on? Thanks!

The text of a cross-reference is a property of the FrameMaker xref object that is expected to be autogenerated, so it is not included in the markup. The XML version of an xref is similar to the internal FrameMaker model, where you insert an xref an the text is automatically created and controlled internally. An xref saves as an empty element with information about how to find the source and regenerate the text, but no indication of what text was originally displaying when you exported the markup.
Properly configured, the xref text will autogenerate when you reimport to Frame, so the empty element is OK there. If you are using the XML with some non-Frame post-process, that process will need to accommodate this convention for representing xref links.
Note that the refint tag is actually closed, as indicated by the trailing slash just before the final angle bracket. This is a shortcut for representing elements with no content.

Additional Reference Field for Journal Posting

1. I would like to have other 2 additional reference fields (not exceed 10 characters) for Journal Posting.
Other than Assignment field, Reference, and Text field
2. For assignment field, if I didn't key in anything, why sometimes this field auto input the date for me?

Why is a single Cross Reference text turning red after doing an Update?

After updating a large book in FrameMaker10, the same cross-reference made in a couple of chapters is turning to red text. It is set as Heading 2. I tried to deleted the heading and re-typing it. I tried to change the style to Body and back to Heading 2 but all references to it are turning to red text after I update the book. Any idea what is wrong and how do I fix it? I am using unstructured version. See image.

Apply a Character Format of Default ¶ Font. Then re-apply the desired Paragraph Format. If the red goes away, it was either a Character Format that had been applied or a local color override. If the red is still there ...
Look at the Special > Cross-Reference > Format > Definition itself. Look for any <character-format-name> and see if any of those have a red Color defined in their Format > Character > Designer. If so, remove that building block from the definition [Change] [Done] [Replace].

Cross reference text anchor source in Word doc

I'm trying to figure out a way to automatically generate page numbers for a list of courses at the back of a course catalog. The listing is not arranged alphabetically or in the order the courses appear in the catalog, and (right now) the listing is a table. Because of this, I don't think a TOC or Index would work.
Cross references seem to work, but they're just as much work as turning pages, finding each entry, and typing it into the list. What I'd really like is to be able to use cross-references to text anchors, but have the anchors inserted in Word, before it goes into Indesign. Many of the courses repeat from one catalog to the next. The editor who creates the Word file does so by pasting each course with its description into one big Word file. If the text anchor were in each course to begin with, it would end up in Indesign and I would only have to reference it to generate a page number.
It seems that Word's Bookmarks come into Indesign as text anchors, but not with their original names. The first bookmark, regardless of its name in Word, comes in named "Anchor". The next one comes in named "Anchor 5" or something like that. I want them to come in with course numbers or some other unique identifier. "Anchor 5" doesn't really tell me anything.
Any ideas?

Posting a credit memo in reference to a previously posted document

Hi SAP gurus,
I would just like to ask if there is a functionality in SAP re: credit memo postings wherein the system can refer to a previously posted customer document and automatically derive the values such as GL account, cost center and business area of the posted document to the new Credit memo being processed?
Example
Customer invoice:
Dr Cash (GL 100001, Cost center 1000, BA 1000) 1000
Cr Customer A 1000
In the credit memo posting screen, upon inputting the document number of the invoice in the invoice reference, the client requires us that the GL account 100001, cost center 1000 and BA 1000 be derived automatically without manual encoding from the user. Meaning all they have to input is the customer number and the invoice reference (doc number). Is this possible? Thanks

The invoice ref field in credit memo posting is related only with the payment terms. The systems determines the payment term from the original invoices.
This field should be either filled with the original invoice document number or "V".
If the field is left blank, then the system always takes the payment term for credit memo as "Due immediately"
I dont thing there is a provision for copying the line item details as per original invoice document.

How to change the HTTP Response as XML (Content Type "text\xml") When Post

I have created one RFC Destination TYPE H . When i am trying to post some XML Message to that particular HTTP Service using POST method . It succesfully accepted the XML File but , it is returning the String as " OK" . In the connection test trace i have seen the Content Type as "text/html" but * I need to get as XML format no Srting ( Type "text\xml" . ) *
I need to get response back as XML not plain text .
1 Any Configuration setting do we need to do on Service (SICF ) ?
2. Or any other place we need to modify to get the HTTP Response as XML not plain text
Can you please help to solve the problem . Any clue ?

The response message was failed while excution of the message mapping with the error
Mapping failed in runtimeRuntime Exception when executing application mapping program com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_SMS_CUST_RES_; Details: com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException; Content is not allowed in prolog.

Post new document by reference from a hundred posted document.

i want to post new 500 reverse posting documents by reference from the existing 500 documents. but FBR2 can only do like this one by one. i cannot use mass reverse function because almost of them were cleared. is there any standard program or function can do like this?

i try to create the batch input session for FBR2 by recording function (SHDB). but i found errors when i release my batch input session, due to each reference document has the diference number of line items. and each item contains profit segment data as well. system always prompt the coding block screen for each item. but if i use FBR2 directly, system will not show this coding block screen.
i don't know why both method work not the same.

Unable to copy and paste code or text in the post

i am unable to copy or paste the code or text from my notepad/word to this editor when i am trying post questions etc.
is this feature blocked my MS ?
If i add a html code windows , i am able to paste the code and text. can anyone pls confirm why they have removed copy-paste operations from the normal window

Did you try to paste by right-clicking or by typing Ctrl + V ?
Sometimes the former doesn't work but the latter works. -- My own experience.

Parked Document Item Text disappered after Posting

Hello experts.
Our system has a bug that :
Enter an invoice verification document with MIRO, in the Customer Line Item Text(BSEG-SGTXT)
we input some info, and than save as complete.
The manage approval the parked document with FBV0, when he open the document with FBV0,
the Item Text still there, but after he post id, the item text disappeared....
Our system is ECC6.0 , I'v checked note but all of there is talking about 4.6 4.7.
I can't find a such case for ECC6.0.
Anyone help me?

In mb51 enter material , pant anf f8
click on current display variant , 2 tabs wil appear header and position , click on position- if u select Document Header Text header text will appear and select Text for item text and click on copy
stored in Text - SGTXT field in MSEG TABLE
for this u have to enter both the texts and ppost some quatity, so that mvt. happens in background anf for that mvt. type text will appear in mb51

Hi,
First check the field status group assigned to that GL account. Then go to OBC 4 ...Select the field status group ...which is assigned to that GL account ...then click on general data and make text as required/optional entry.
After completing the MiGO.. check the fi document and double click on the line item .... it will go to the journal screen...enter there text...
