REFERENCE VALUES BETWEEN REPORTS MODULES COMPONENTS IN DESIGNER6I

Good afternoon;
I am building a report in Designer 6i which inludes 4 different
module components.
My question is..
How can you verify (and pass) a field's actual value between
module components?
Thank you,
Michel Turcot

The way to pass information from a PJC back into Forms is via the WHEN-CUSTOM-ITEM-EVENT trigger. Then you can pass the info around in Forms in the usual way. Look at some of the examples in the Forms area on OTN.

    Can anyone help me in passing multiple values in prompts between reports in CRYSTAL REPORTS 2008  using opendoc or any method. I am able to pass single value from main report to second report. but not able to pass multiple values. Plz help me . Thanks in advance

    Hi Ramy,
    How you are passing your prompt values ? where you have created these prompts ? i.e. created these prompts in report level or stored procedure or Add command ?

  • Passing Values Between to portal components

    Hi All,
       Im having  2 portal components in my UI ,in the 1st component user has to select data from dropdownkey and inbox and i need to carry these values and display in 2nd portal component,also user has to select somemore details from the second portal component..,based on all his inputs i need to create a new data in r3 system.
    Any codesamples,articles..??

    Hi,
    This is possible and very easy to implement.
    Since version 1 patch 3 of the PDK.NET was released, embedded .NET iViews on the same page are processed together. So you could actually access one portal component from another.
    One of the new features of version 2.0 was creating server side events between iViews on the same page <b>at</b> design time Take a look at the following <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/dotnet/pdk%20for%20.net/developer's%20Guide%20PDK%202.0%20for%20.NET/Programming%20with%20PDK%20for%20.NET/Designing%20Portal%20Pages/PPD_Workflow.htm">link</a> .
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/dotnet/pdk%20for%20.net/developer's%20Guide%20PDK%202.0%20for%20.NET/How%20to/PortalServerSideEventing.htm">here</a>is the link to the HowTo illustrating creation of server side events between iView at runtime (this if part of the documentation that comes with the PDK .NET add-in).
    Another option is to implement client side  events using the EPCM, <a href="https://media.sdn.sap.com/html/submitted_docs/dotnet/How%20to/Portal%20Client-Side%20Eventing.htm">here</a>is the link to that how to.

  • Difference between reports & modulepool programs

    hi experts,
    what is module pool programs?
    Pls tell me the difference between reports & module pool programs?

    hi..
    TYPES 1
      Type 1 programs have the important characteristic that they do not have to be controlled using user-defined screens. Instead, they are controlled by the runtime environment, which calls a series of processing blocks (and selection screens and lists where necessary) in a fixed sequence. User actions on screens can then trigger further processing blocks.
    You can start a type 1 program and the corresponding processor in the runtime environment using the SUBMIT statement in another ABAP program. There are also various ways of starting a type1 program by entering its program name. This is why we refer to type 1 programs as executable programs.
    When you run a type 1 program, a series of processors run in a particular order in the runtime environment. The process flow allows the user to enter selection parameters on a selection screen. The data is them selected from the database and processed. Finally, an output list is displayed. At no stage does the programmer have to define his or her own screens. The runtime environment also allows you to work with a logical database. A logical database is a special ABAP program which combines the contents of certain database tables. The flow of a type 1 program is oriented towards reporting, whose main tasks are to read data from the database, process it, and display the results. This is why executable programs (type 1) in the R/3 System are often referred to as reports, and why running an executable program is often called reporting.
    Since it is not compulsory to define event blocks, you can yourself determine the events to which your ABAP program should react. Furthermore, you can call your own screens or processing blocks at any time, leaving the prescribed program flow. You can use this, for example, to present data in a table on a dialog screen instead of in a list. The simplest executable program (report) contains only one processing block (START-OF-SELECTION).
    Executable programs do not require any user dialog. You can fill the selection screen using a variant and output data directly to the spool system instead of to a list. This makes executable programs (reports) the means of background processing in the R/3 System.
    You can also assign a transaction code to an executable program. Users can then start it using the transaction code and not the program name. The reporting-oriented runtime environment is also called when you run a report using a transaction code. This kind of transaction is called a report transaction.
    It is appropriate to use executable programs (reports) when the flow of your program corresponds either wholly or in part to the pre-defined flow of the runtime environment. Until Release 4.5A, the only way to use a logical database was to use an executable program. However, from Release 4.5A, it is also possible to call logical databases on their own.
    Type M
    The most important technical attribute of a type M program is that it can only be controlled using screen flow logic. You must start them using a transaction code, whcih is linked to the program and one of its screens (initial screen). Another feature of these programs is that you must define your own screens in the Screen Painter (although the intial screen can be a selection screen).
    When you start a program using a transaction code, the runtime environment starts a processor that calls the initial screen. This then calls a dialog module in the corresponding ABAP program. The remainder of the program flow can take any form. For example, the dialog module can:
    return control to the screen, after which, the processing passes to a subsequent screen. Each screen has a following screen, set either statically or dynamically.
    call other sequences of screens, selection screens or lists, from which further processing blocks in the ABAP program are started.
    call other processing blocks itself, either internally or externally.
    call other application programs using CALL TRANSACTION (type M program) or SUBMIT (type 1 program).
    ABAP programs with type M contain the dialog modules belonging to the various screens. They are therefore known as module pools. It is appropriate to use module pools when you write dialog-oriented programs using a large number of screens whose flow logic largely determines the program flow.

  • Display In Between  Prompts Value in Report Title

    Hi All,
    I want to show the in between dashboard prompt value in Report.
    So that when user download the report he will come to know the date range.
    I have gone through the couple of links but it does not work.
    I tries the below one but when ever i am selected the to_date it reset the from date also.
    http://obiee101.blogspot.com/2009/03/obiee-between-dates-prompt.html
    Thanks
    Nawneet

    I would add one thing to Saichand's solution which I use for the situation you describe. If you create two dashboard prompts one for the "from" date and the other for the "to" date and then modify your filter on the date column to be:
    datecolumn >= @{From_Date} AND datecolumn <= @{To_Date}
    ...then you just need to add two more columns to your report to house the presentation variables. Make these columns the first two so that in your Narrative View you can reference them as "Between @1 and @2"
    You don't need another report to place on top of your current one, just add the Narrative View to your existing report.

  • Pass Values between two Function Modules RFC in Portal

    I need to pass values between 2 FM RFC.
    I have an implicit enhancement in HRMSS_RFC_EP_READ_GENERALDATA RFC function module.
    PERNR LIKE  PSKEY-PERNR
    ENHANCEMENT 1  Z_ESS_EXPORT_PERNR.    "active version
      EXPORT pernr to memory id 'PMK'.
      set parameter id 'PMK' field pernr.
    ENDENHANCEMENT.
    On the other hand an RFC function module that has the code:
            pmk    LIKE PSKEY-PERNR,
            pmk_2  LIKE PSKEY-PERNR.
      get parameter id 'PMK' field pmk.
      IMPORT pmk_2 FROM MEMORY ID 'PMK'.
    When the execution is done in development environment, the modules function at the level of R3, the "get parameter id" works only if the debbuger is classic, otherwise not work. The Import to memory id never works.
    In the environment of quality, r3 do not work any of the 2 sentences. If run from portal (which is as it should be) does not work.
    Thanks if anyone can help me get the problem. Both function modules are executed at the portal.

    When the execution is directly in r3, in development environment or quality, does the set / get parameter id. Export / Import memory id not work.
    But if the FM are called from the portal, does not the set / get parameter id.
    I tried changing the sentence as I indicated harishkumar.dy still not working.
    Madhu: They're in different function groups, one is standard and the other not.

  • Navigate between 2 reports and pass values between 2 different columns

    Hello
    I have a question about navigating from 1 report to another while passing the value from column 1 to column 2 in the second report...
    In OBIEE 11G, I create action link on report 1, column 1 and this action link is navigate to BI Content and the destination is report 2. Now report 2 has column 2, which is an alias of column 1 from report 1, from user's point of view they are the same, but from OBIEE point of view they are different.
    My action link is able to navigate to report 2, however, the value in column 1 which I clicked to execute the navigation, does not get passed to column 2 in report 2..
    Is there a way around this issue?
    Let me know if I need to provide more clarification
    Thanks

    Thank you Anirban
    I think this is the best solution you just provided.The current post and the post at below looks same
    Navigate from report to dashboard and  pass values between different column
    is it not answered?

  • What is difference between report programming and dialog programming?

    hi,
    what is difference between report programming and dialog programming? plz provide some example code
    bye

    ABAP programming
    Basically reports are used to read database and represent the results in lists.
    Reports are collections of processing blocks that the system calls depending on events.
    We can use reports to evaluate data from database tables.
    Reports are stand alone programs and controlled by events.
    A report itself never creates events
    steps in report:
    Processing the selection screen
    Reading the database
    Evaluating the data and creating lists
    Outputting a list.
    1st u write simple logics, after that u can enhance the code as step by step.

    Dialog Programming
    Structure of a Dialog Program
    A dialog program consists of the following basic components:
    Screens (dynpros)
    Each dialog in an SAP system is controlled by dynpros. A dynpro (DYnamic PROgram) consists of a screen and its flow logic and controls exactly one dialog step. The flow logic determines which processing takes place before displaying the screen (PBO-Process Before Output) and after receiving the entries the user made on the screen (PAI-Process After Input).
    The screen layout fixed in the Screen Painter determines the positions of input/output fields, text fields, and graphical elements such as radio buttons and checkboxes. In addition, the Menu Painter allows to store menus, icons, pushbuttons, and function keys in one or more GUI statuses. Dynpros and GUI statuses refer to the ABAP/4 program that control the sequence of the dynpros and GUI statuses at runtime.
    ABAP/4 module pool
    Each dynpro refers to exactly one ABAP/4 dialog program. Such a dialog program is also called a module pool, since it consists of interactive modules. The flow logic of a dynpro contains calls of modules from the corresponding module pool. Interactive modules called at the PBO event are used to prepare the screen template in accordance to the context, for example by setting field contents or by suppressing fields from the display that are not needed. Interactive modules called at the PAI event are used to check the user input and to trigger appropriate dialog steps, such as the update task.
    All dynpros to be called from within one transaction refer to a common module pool. The dynpros of a module pool are numbered. By default, the system stores for each dynpro the dynpro to be displayed next. This dynpro sequence or chain can be linear as well as cyclic. From within a dynpro chain, you can even call another dynpro chain and, after processing it, return to the original chain.

  • Doubt : retaining the value between the calls

    hi,
    Which statement would you use to declare a variable, within a Function Module/Form-routine, so as it will retain the value between the calls?"
    Gaurav

    Dear Gaurav,
    To retain the same value outside a function module, you can define a variable with the same name as the exporting parameter in a function module. However in case of Subroutines you can pass the value by reference as any change in the formal parameters will be reflected in the actual parameters.

  • About passing the values attributes of UI components

    Hi,
    I have a question related to passing the values attributes of UI components from JSF to a baking bean.
    Assume I have inputText and I need to pass its value to the data model via an application module. So, this will be done as follows:
    <h:inputText value= "#{bindings.MyValue.inputValue}";
    I need also to pass this value to a managed bean. Therefore I used EL class prepared by Steve Muench available at:
    http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2006/12/18/sourceForMyFavoriteElHelperClass.html
    So, in the JSF page will be as follows:
    <h:inputText value="#{myBean.myValue}";
    In managed bean:
    String myValue;
    public String get MyValue () {
    return EL.getAsString("#{bindings.MyValue.inputValue }");
    public void set MyValue t(String value) {
    EL.set("#{bindings.MyValue.inputValue }",value);
    Then when I want to use myVlaue in the managed bean just I use this line:
    myVlaue = get MyValue ();
    I tried to use the same steps to pass the value of selectOneMenu but I always get errors such as cannot be cast to java.lang.String.
    But I achived this by binding the value of selectOneMenu to a HtmlSelectOneMenu attribute in the managed bean as follows:
    In JSF page:
    <h:selectOneMenu value="#{bindings.TaskView1TaskName.inputValue}"
    binding= "#{projectBean.selectOneChoice1}">
    In managed bean:
    private HtmlSelectOneMenu selectOneChoice1;
    public void setSelectOneChoice1(HtmlSelectOneMenu selectOneChoice1) {
    this.selectOneChoice1 = selectOneChoice1;
    public HtmlSelectOneMenu getSelectOneChoice1() {
    return selectOneChoice1;
    Then I can used the selectOneChoice1 value as follows :
    somenu= getSelectOneChoice1();
    somenuValue = (Integer)somenu.getValue();
    task= taskName(somenuValue);
    this works with me. Now what is the different between this way and using EL class
    And how can I use EL class to pass the value of selectOneMenu to the managed bean
    Thank you
    Waheed

    they are look like:
    <list id="TaskView1TaskName" IterBinding="TaskView1Iterator"
    ListOperMode="0" StaticList="true">
    <AttrNames>
    <Item Value="TaskName"/>
    </AttrNames>
    <ValueList>
    <Item Value="value1"/>
    <Item Value="value2"/>
    <Item Value="value3"/>
    </ValueList>
    </list>
    and TaskName is String

  • How to download ABAP(report,module pool...etc) source code to client PC?

    hi guys,
    please advise how can i download/export ABAP(report,module pool...etc) source code to client PC?
    thanks.

    hi
    this report is to export to another server...
    PROGRAM ZDOWNLOAD_SAP
    LINE-SIZE 132
    LINE-COUNT 62
    NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING.
    This program up / downloads from / to a local dataset
    all the components of an ABAP - i.e TEXTS, the entire CUA
    including statuses and menus, DYNPROS and source code.
    Program documentation and variants are not handled.
    INCLUDED programs are automatically handled both on upload
    or download. INCLUDE selection can be excluded or generic
    e.g only handle INCLUDES starting with ZIN*
    INCLUDES within INCLUDES alos handled.
    The only restriction is on UPLOAD the INCLUDED programs must come
    from the same directory as the main program.
    On Download of course the ABAP must exist in the library.
    Note for LINUX and BATCH users
    This program was originally designed as a one off tool for
    getting ABAPS etc from a SAP R2 (IBM MVS mainframe system) into
    an R3 test system minimising the need for a large amount of
    mainframe sysprogs (anybody remember what they were !!) time
    and support to say nothing of access problems from TSO /JES2 /
    SAP R2. At that time network connections were patchy and the
    transport systems largely incompatable and not very reliable.
    This program was originally designed as a one off tool for
    Must run on Windows front end ---- If you are running SAP with
    LINUX on your work station you will have to change the WS_UPLOAD
    and WS_DOWNLOAD functions to reflect the Linux file system. The
    contents of the data sets themseleves do not need to be changed
    Program can easily be modified to run in batch and store
    the data on a UNIX host. Change the WS_UPLOAD and WS_DOWNLOAD
    to read from and write to UNIX data sets (OPEN FILE etc).
    You will also need to modify the parts of the program that get
    the DOS directory and display the Windows file paths.
    The actual abap data sets do not need to be changed.
    Rel 4.0 names can now be up to 40 bytes long
    Dynpros and CUA have changed from rel 3.1
    Tabstrips now loaded and unloaded in dynpros
    Please note restriction on 4.6 systems for users who
    have ABAP names which include '/'s in their names.
    Rel 4.6b, 4.6c Abap names can include the '/' in their names
    e.g /CUST1/CUST2/ORDER
    This causes problems when storing to a local file.
    a solution is to change the name to %CUST1%CUST2%ORDER i.e / will
    be changed to %. On upload the % should be changed back to /
    again. This change still needs to be implemented.
    If you don't use the / in the abap name then this is not a problem.
    If file to be uploaded is in rel 3 format then names are only 8
    bytes long.
    program uses 3 datasets per abap
    1) abapname.eee source, dynpr logic, texts, CUA stuff
    2) abapname.hhh dynpr header
    3) abapname.fff dynpro fields.
    because of varying lengths and contents 3 data sets are used. The
    complexity of combining all these to 1 data set would make the
    program far too complex.
    NOTE: This version of the program can only be used on
    release 4.0 or higher. Once an ABAP has been converted
    to rel 4.0 it cannot be converted back to rel 3.0
    on a release 3/3.1 system. Release 4 CUA tables
    are different. Use release 3 version of this program
    for releases 3.0 and 3.1. Available on SAPFANS website.
    Note that data to be uploaded must have been previously downloaded
    by this program (any version since rel 2.0) - except for Initial
    Load -- see end of these comments.
    Dynpros and CUA statuses have changed since rel 3.1
    This program will handle rel 3.1 format on upload but will
    download in rel 4.0 format. To upload 3.1 format specify an 'X'
    in the rel3 parameter.
    If you have downloaded components in rel 4.0 format and you
    want to re-load to a 3.1 system you will have to load
    the source via standard upload and re-create dynpros and the CUA
    manually.
    As names can now be longer than 8 characters you can only
    use this program if the SAP front end (SAPGUI) supports
    long file names (WIN 95/98 or WIN NT). Windows 3.x will not
    work as the underlying DOS system cannot handle long file names.
    UPLOAD function and DOS directory.
    When an ABAP is selected for UPLOAD then the DOS
    directory is read into a table. A file called ABAP.BAT is created,
    and down loaded to the 'C' drive and executed.
    This file executes a DOS DIR command and pipes the output
    into a dataset which is then uploaded into an internal
    table on SAP.
    Note on running DOS commands from ABAP
    The first time this procedure is executed you will see a DOS window
    which you will have to close manually. To get round this
    use windows explorer to select the file ABAP.BAT and then
    right mouse click on the file name. Select the
    properties window. From this click the CLOSE on EXIT box. This
    will then automatically close the DOS function after it has
    executed. (Windows restriction).
    The DOS function has not been tested using Windows 2000 so
    it might not work. OK on W95,W98,WME and Windows NT (No Thanks)
    If INCLUDE programs are wanted on UPLOAD only the specified
    directory is searched.
    Instead of entering path name manually you can click on
    the path parameter. Because of Windows restriction you will
    have to select ANY file in the relevant directory.
    The path will then be copied on to the selection screen.
    To do still : Merge 3 files to one and compress output to .ZIP file
    fix 4.5 4.6 problem of abaps containing '/' in the name
    possibility to automatically up / download referenced
    function modules with selection criteria like INCLUDES
    To load the ist time into a system.
    Create program with ABAP editor and Upload the .EEE file.
    Delete ist line (????SRCE) in the ABAP EDITOR --NOT THE DISK FILE
    Delete all the source from the line that starts ????TEXT (towards
    the end file) till the end so the last line in your source is ENDFORM.
    DO NOT ALTER THE DISK FILE. DO THESE CHANGES IN THE ABAP EDITOR.
    Save file and execute
    Use following parameters (Note the ist time you won't get proper
    text on the selection screen).
    Function U
    Path full dos path containing source e.g c:\abaps\
    NOTE YOU MUST ENTER THE FINAL \ as above.
    REPID the program name. e.g ZZJIMHXX
    note that on the DISK you will see 3 files
    ZZJIMHXX.EEE, ZZJIMHXX.FFF, ZZJIMHXX.HHH
    just use the name before the dos qualifier - the
    program will do the rest
    ignore other parameters
    The program will then load itself with all the texts etc.
    It should now be ready for use.

    For download INCLUDE handling can be resolved via function
    module call.
    All Includes within Includes are also resolved by the function
    module call.
    Note that this method does not work if program itself is of type
    I (it's an include)
    In this case we can still search the source.

    We need to check now for INCLUDES on DOWNLOAD when the INCLUDE
    program itself is of type I. In this case the function call
    will not return the INCLUDES. For example we could be
    downloading ZTESTTOP (an Include itself) which as an include
    ZTEST01.
    The process fortunately is the same as the UPLOAD function
    except of course we need to read the library instead of the
    DOS directory
    process INCLUDE modules for Upload
    On upload the procedure is more complex as Includes within
    Includes can only be resolved by scanning the code and
    searching if the program exists in the directory.
    To get all INCLUDES within INCLUDES entries in table I_INCL
    that do not exist in I_INCLUDE are copied to table I_INCLUDE
    after each entire pass of table i_INCLUDE and table is then
    re-looped through. Programs in table I_INCLUDE that have already

            50 LAS VEGASIs it possible to create the lov of the report module with an indivdual select statement?
    Does anyobody have an idea?

    Hi,
    There are probably a number of ways that you can handle this, but the underlying principle for all of these would be that you need to have 2 reports. The first report would contain the first ten records and the second report would contain the next ten.
    The way to do that would be to get the ROW_NUMBER() value for each line and, in the query defintion for each report, you would have a WHERE clause that restricted the results based on this value. The best way to do this would be to create a view and base the reports on this view. The view definition would include:
    ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY xxxx) AS ROW_NUMBER
    where xxxx is the same order definition as the main ORDER BY clause. Each row will then get a ROW_NUMBER value that matches it's position in the query resultset.
    Your first report would then have a WHERE clause of:
    WHERE ROW_NUMBER < 11
    the second report would have:
    WHERE ROW_NUMBER BETWEEN 11 AND 20
    The final step would be styling/positioning the reports. The first would probably be in Column 1 in the region and the second in Column 2. You would almost certainly have to adjust the styling and/or positioning using a style attribute in the region/report definitions.

  • Differences Between Report Painter and Report Writer

    Hi,
    Anyone knows the differences between report painter and report writer?
    Thanks,
    CW

    Hello CW Teo,
    Yes report writer can be used in logistics also. One of the way which I am aware of is described below.
    Flexible analyses allow you to can tailor the way in which key figures are combined and aggregated. This means that it is possible to both provide administrators with detailed information and management with aggregated information.
    Flexible analyses enable easy access to the Report Writer, a user-friendly tool with which you can create reports for various analyses. The Report Writer is integrated in other SAP applications, such as Extended General Ledger and Cost Center Accounting.
    Evaluation structures form the interface to the Report Writer. Evaluation structures consist of characteristics and key figures and are easy to construct.An evaluation structure with the same name exists for each information structure in the standard system.Even the self-defined information structures created in Customizing can be evaluated via the flexible analyses.
    Evaluations:You can create an evaluation on the basis of the evaluation structure.
    To define an evaluation, all you need to do is select the characteristics and key figures you require (pick-up technique).One of the especially useful features here is that you have the option of tailoring the layout of your report to suit your particular requirements. You can also define extra key figures for the reports, which are derived from existing key figures by means of calculation formulas. You can thereby multiply the key figures or divide one key figure by another.
    ============================================================
    In addition to the above you can also edit a report in logistics module with the help of a report writer. below mentioned is the process for it.
    It is now possible to edit your report data using the Report Writer. You can also change the layout of the report. The most important functions of the layout design are summarized below.
    Summation levels:In the report screen, you can use the menu sequence View ->Summation level to specify the number of summation used to calculate total values. All totals that do not lie within the specified interval will be hidden. A summation level corresponds to a hierarchical level (for example, material level). Summation level 1 is the lowest hierarchical level. Summation level 2 is the next level up, and so on. The individual values are on the summation level 0.
    The summation levels can be specified both universally (for the entire report) or locally (for specific blocks of rows). In this case, the local settings overwrite global values.
    Report views:If a report is displayed on the screen, the Report Writer will then set page breaks so that exactly one page fits into the current window. This view will be defined as the standard view. As the Report Writer always processes exactly one page, you can only use the page keys and page icons to page up and down; the scroll bars cannot be used.
    The page view can be determined via Settings-> Page view. The page breaks in the page view correspond to those defined in the report layout.
    Hide and show rows:The function Edit->Hide rows exclude certain preselected areas of your report from the display. You can undo this command with Edit ® Show rows.
    Expanding and collapsing report rows:View-> Hierarchy->Collapse allows you to hide the report rows of the sub-trees that are located underneath. View->Hierarchy ->Expand allows you to undo this command level by level.
    If you want to display all the report rows that were hidden by collapsing the hierarchy or restricting the summation levels, select, View->Hierarchy-> Expand all.
    View->Collapse all allows you to reduced every row block to the highest summation level.
    Texts and Annotations:You can create an annotation for your report.
    Select: Extras->Annotation.
    You branch into the text editor of the Report Writer.
    Via the menu sequence Settings->Texts, you can create and format a title page, the last page, as well as headers and footers using word processing functions.
    For example, you can store variables in the header for the author of the report, the date of the selection or the name of the person who last changed the report.
    Layout parameters:Using the menu sequence Settings->Layout you can specify the page format, display form, rows and columns of the report according to your needs and you can determine the settings for the graphics function. You can make these layout settings with Report->Save settings.
    Hope I had been able to help you to some extent. please assign points as reward.

    Explain exactly how you create your 2 reports.
    The second one must have "is prompted" filters if you want it to use the values of the first one.
