Referencing other files from 'default' webauth on WLC4404

Hi,
I'm happy with how the inbuilt WLC webauth dynamically allows me to use webauth passthru with email on one WLAN and lobbyadmin user on another WLAN, and this doesn't work when you upload your own webauth pages (as you need to call each page login.html), so I'm trying to avoid that.
What I would like to do is have some way to add an iframe with a link to a TOC.html on the WLC. I can't figure out the relative path to the uploaded webauth stuff (/fs/customwebauth) from the default login.html.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

I don't think you can modify HTML for the default page. However - the "headline" and "message" text of your default web page can actually be html code. That might be your out. How sophisticated you can be if you go that route is another story...

If you want to drag and drop ( don;t know why you would do this), you will have to check manually manage music.
Why not just sync?

My firefox-profiles in Ubuntu, are practically one-timers.
Next time i want to use firefox it hangs at start. The window comes up
and it's white, except for a square in upper left corner (without color).
I'm having this problem since June 2010, when I started using an electronic ID,
for access to Swedish goverment organisations. The Electronic ID (BnakID) is
supported in Windows, Mac and Ubuntu. I had a new installation of Ubuntu, in a
virtual machine at that time.
I can't say that this is a problem with Firefox in Ubuntu or some other
combination, I'm a newbie with Ubuntu and BankID.
I've used been using Firefox and installing (Firebird, Mozilla) since 2001,
in other OS:es than Ubuntu (Solaris, RedHat, Windows and SLED).
My workaround are:
- cd ~/.mozilla/firefox
- mv profiles.ini profiles.ini-
- Start and stop firefox
- Copy some files from previous profile, to the new.
cd <previous>.default
cp -r bookmark* cert8.db content-prefs.sqlite cookies.sqlite* \
extensions* places.sqlite* prefs.js sessionstore.* signons.sqlite* \
../<new>.default/
- Start firefox

Try the fix posted by houseboats in this discussion: spinning beachball suddenly every time at launch. Other users have reported that it fixed their problem which is similar to yours, good with airport off, freeze with airport on.
The only problem I had with the fix was that it killed the name I gave my computer in the System/Sharing preference pane. So if you use it go to that pane and rename your computer as it was originally.

SWF referencing other files - Combine?

I recently used a program that converts a pdf in a "flipbook" flash animation, and either exports as .swf or .exe. My problem however, is that when exported as .swf, it exports the frame/player and calls it movie.swf, it also creates 2 folders. 1 is called images, which has each page of the pdf as a .swf and also as a thumbnail jpeg. The other folder is called file and has search xml etc in it.
When the movie.swf is in the directory with the other folders, it loads the other pages, etc. However, if you move the movie.swf to another location, it does not load anything, it shows the frame/player only. (I am guess that this is because it is referencing the other files internally)
My question is, is it possible to convert all of this into one swf, that still has the functionality of clicking on the pages to flip etc.

If you only have an swf (or exe) you cannot edit it.

How do I delete Firefox and other files from my MacBook Pro computer

I want to remove Firefox and all other files that may not be removed from my MacBbok Pro laptop.

I don't know how Firefox installs, but if you just dragged it into the Applications folder, you can drag it to the Trash and empty it.
If it had an installer, then you need to use the uninstaller provided by the developer.
What are the other "files that may not be removed?" It doesn't sound like much of a good idea.

Remove "Other Files" from Backup Drive

I have 10.08 GB of "Other Files" on my backup drive that i need to get rid of, however i am unable to directly access the files to delete them.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
The files are a mis-directed computer back up.

The Q drive typically contains the Factory Recovery data to restore to original factory settings. The S drive typically has the Rescue and Recovery standalone software. I dont think this is a Mis-directed backup. Are you trying to use an old Vista HDD as data Hdd now?

IF this is an old hdd( now secondary drive), that USE to have a functional vista system, you can't View the Q drive
because it is NOT set as an ACTIVE partition. If this is the case, diskpart DOS command can make the Q drive Active, and thus delete able.

Hmm, perhaps it wasn't when you deleted the files, or there is a permissions issue. Test by adding back a known redundant file, then deleting from iTunes. Does it get deleted from the hard drive? If so, great add back the entire media folder, then delete everything added today. If not...
Right-click on your main media folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.
Now try again...
I also have a script called KillSelectedFiles which is useful when the source files are located outside of the designated iTunes Media folder but In your case it shouldn't be necessary.

Referencing external files from flash in Dw

I am working on a web page that has an embedded .swf, the
flash movie reads an xml file which describes some photos and then
displays a slide show with the photos and their captions. It works
fine when I play .swf in Dw, but when I preview it in Firefox
within Dw, it doesn't work, i.e. just a blank area. When I open the
.swf file with firefox in the directory where I first created it,
it works fine in the browser. However, when I try to open the file
in the Dw site with Firefox it doesn't open.. The referencing used
in the Dw copy is "/flash files/XML/slideshow1.xml" and the
reference to the pictures in the XML file is /flash
files/mainslideshow/filename.jpg
I don't understand why it works in Dw but not Firefox. This
has been "bugging" me for a couple of days now so any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks

Automate (batch process) other than from default list?

I really admire the batch process feature that lets me automate functions. The problem is, I want to do something with a single page PDF that is not on the list; Save as TIFF. This is very common in my work environment, and time consuming. Any way to automate this that does not involve a feature request?
It seems to me that the equivalent feature in Photoshop (Record) is much more flexible.

Sure it's available. In Acrobat Pro XI add a Save command to your Action
and then click on Specify Settings and select "Export files to alternate
format" and select TIFF from the drop-down list.

Hi I have a macbook air with USB and Thunderbolt ports. I connect them to a 200GB Maxtor external harddrive via USB
The HD seems to have created duplicates of many of my files. How can i remove the duplictaes from my HD?

Time Machine store backups of all data on your computer.
Changes to files are stored, so if required, you can revert to previous versions.
Once the disk fills with data, old backups are deleted to make room for the newer.
So Time Machine automatically manages the disk.

Problem accessing iphoto pictures and other files from previous system.

I tried to install Leopard, upgrading from Tiger, using the install disc.
The cpu hanged on blue.
I tried all the disc permissions protocol, with no immediate success.
Overnight it somehow came up and was usable, however, I could not access my files in iphoto and open office etc
In the 'previous systems' folder on my HD it is still there and of the correct size, however I cannot access it-it is grey and has a cross through it.
I ran disc permissions before and after uploading combo updater X10.5 from the apple site.
It still would not grant access.
I re-installed the system running disc permissions before and after and archived the HD.
I then carbon copied (using that software) the HD to an external HDD and erased and installed leopard.
I still cannot access the old photos in iphoto and the new iphoto has no photos in it.
Any suggestions as to how to resolve this? The priority is to access the old photos again, preferably still in their folder and album form. Though accessing all old files would be still better.

This is what was done:
1) Quit iPhoto, if it is already running
2) Open a Finder window to show Backup HD>Previous Systems>Users>Pictures
3) Open another Finder window above or below it and navigate to Macintosh HD>Users>Pictures
(It's easier to keep track if you have both windows in column view)
4) Drag and drop the old iPhoto Library onto the new Pictures folder. It will warn you that if you are about to replace "iPhoto Library". Click "Replace" - it may require your password.
5) Open iPhoto

How can I transfer bookmarks, settings & other files from old Windows XP PC to new Windows 7 PC?

Just got a new Dell computer that has Windows 7 pre-installed. I will use Firefox & Thunderbird on it. I presume I'll have to install both from program downloads. But I have numerous bookmarks, emails, addresses, etc. on my old computer that I want to transfer to the new one. What needs to be done to accomplish this?
I will be using Windows Easy Transfer utility to move files & folders, etc. from the old to the new.

How to remove "other" files from iphone memory

Concerning how the memory is used on the Iphones under the "other" category, I have found that the biggest culprit is text messages that include photos and videos sent and received. Think about it, when you take a picture and then send it, even though you delete it from your camera roll, it is still necessary to hold in memeory as being part of the text history. It is only removed from the phone when you delete it from the text message as well. This also applies to text messages received. This is a large hidden area to most people!

Restore the iOS. You may have to do this as a new phone (without using a backup). Note that "other" contains messages and emails - if you have a lot of these, especially with photos/videos, that would account for the other usage.
