Reflecting Freight Charges in Material MAP

Hi,
I have a requirement to reflect freight charges in material MAP. This can be done when the charges are reflected in the PO price. However, this is the client's situation:
1. A contract has been established for freight services
2. Material is purchased via normal PO (freight charges not included)
3. A release order is created against the freight contract for freight services (potentially different vendor frm material supplier)
The question is, how can we reflect the cost incurred for freight services into the material MAP?

Hi
What I understand by your post is that you have  two seperate POs for material vendor and freight vendor .In thsi case freight charges will not hit your inventory account ,but will hit a expense account (P&L account).Inorder to hit the freight charges to inventory account ,you need to create a new condition type as Delivery charges.Include the delivery charges in the material vendor PO .Now enter your freight amount against the freight condition type .Also mention the freight vendor code by clicking on the blue icon. This will ensure that the freight amount will be inventorised ,and will be included in MAP of the vendor ,Also you can perform MIRO seperately for material vendor and freight vendor

  • Freight charges should not add to Material Cost

    Dear All,
We are maintaining the Freight Charges condition in Pricing Procedure for Stock Transport Order process, as per SAP standard the Freight charges will add to the Material Cost for receiving Plant. But we dont want to add the Freight Charges for Material Cost.
Please let me know how to avoid the Freight Charges adding to the Material Cost.
    Thanks & regards,
    Dhanu

    Dear Dhanu,
Add the condition type at header. So it will not be distributed among individual line items.
I hope this will help you.

So,How would I get report of these freight charges for 1.Material receipt freight charge,2.Material freight charge for material transfer from branch to branch,3.Also for dispatch freight.
Means, every stock transfer there are freight charges. So how would I track & get report as there are daily lots of stock transfer .
    its urgent
will award points for every appreciable help.....

    Hi,
It is a pure Z- report development.
Usually client looks for how much freight he has paid for particluar activities.
say yoy have freight condition ZFRL- for local freight charges, ZFRI for import freight, ZUNL- for unloading charges.
these conditions will be hitting accounts associated with them.
when ever there will be GR, you can pick the data from material documents.
for giving you an idea, you can have the report like this with information on:
PO, material document, material number, qty, freight.
Your client must have told you that what information he want in reports.

  • Freight Charges after doing GR in PO

    Dear All,
We have not entered any Freight charges in PO by mistake, And for that PO, already we have done GR also. Now how can add the freight charges to that PO ? Now the freight charge condn type in PO became as Grey. Can make it as editable after GR also ? If i did so, what will happen ? If that is not the right way, then what is the other way. I want to add this freight charges to material cost.
    regds,
    CB

Make the Vendor Invoice  in referenece to your GR and then
Post the subsequent debit Entry through MIRO.
Pls Note: System will not allow you to post the Subsequent Debit entry without Prior Vendor Invoice .
Refer Below link..., I'm sure it will resolve your Issue

  • How to include Freight charges and unloading charges in Material price.

    Hi All,
Can you pls. advice how we can include freight charges & unloading charges in Material price (MAP) when receive in system.
    Current Situation :
We buy Switchgears from vendor, which transported with special vehicle arrangement from different service provider and gets unloaded at warehouse by another service provider. Currently business create seperate PO for Material vendor, Freight Vendor and for unloading service provider. But MAP is only updated with Material cost only. How can I include delivery cost and unloading cost in MAP thro standard SAP process.
Your solution will help business heaps.
    Regards,

    Hi,
Create three condition types namely basic material price, freight charges & unloading charges.
For  basic material price , you can copy PB00 and rename your basic material price condition type. Now freight charges & unloading charges condition type in M/06 , do not maintain condition category ( keep it blank ), so that it will added to inventory cost .For freight charges & unloading charges do not maintain account key & accrual key in Pricing procedure.
Cretae PO , now you will see all cost added to NET price in PO and you can for doing GR where all cost are inventoried as materisl cost.

  • Reducing the Freight cost on material value for undelivered material

    Hi Experts,
Summary :  The material supplier vendor needs to be paid for full quantity of material. The freight transport is allowed an under tolearance of 0.5% on the material to be supplied. If the delivered material quantity breaches the 0.5% under tolerance then amount at 1.5 times the cost of material for the shortage is to be deducted from the transporter. A dummy GR will have to be prepared for the undelivered quantity for which we do not want the freight cost to be loaded. The details scenario is mentioned below :-
We have to make a Purchase Order with material code say ABC for procured of some material. Suppose we make a Purchase Order for 100 nos. at a Unit Price of Say Rs. 10/- for Material Code ABC on say Vendor M/s XYZ. A freight condition is maintained in the Conditions Tab and suppose the Freight is Rs. 10 per unit of the material.
While preparing the Goods Receipt through MIGO, in the Freight Tab we select say freight vendor say M/s PQR against the freight condition and post the goods receipt.
While doing Invoice Processing in MIRO, when we enter the combination of Purchase Order and Planned Delivery Cost the system will populate the vendor codes of both the supplier of material and the transporter. On selecting the transporter the freight amount will populate against which the invoice of the tranporter can be processed.
In the Vendor Master of M/s XYZ GR-Based Invoice Verification is activated.
The vendor is allowed an under tolerance of 0.5% (i.e. the vendor should deliver at least 99.50 nos. of the Purchase Order). If the vendor delivers 99.50 or more then there will be no deduction in the freight charges.
But suppose the vendor delivers only 99.4 nos. of the quantity. Then we will prepare the GRIR for 99.4 nos.only. But while processing the MIRO we need to deduct 1.5 times the value of the material from the freight amount for the shortshipped quantity, i.e.
0.1     no (99.5 u2013 99.4) X Rs. 10/- * 1.5 = Rs. 1.5 are to be deducted from the final payment from the freight amount of the transporter.
The material supplier will have to be paid in full 100 nos. of quantity and will raise an invoice for 100 nos. A dummy GRIR for the 0.6 nos. of undelivered material will have to be prepared for processing the invoice for the 100 nos. of the material supplier and a dummy issue for 0.6 nos. of undelivered material will be prepared to remove them from the system.
Hence the freight cost for this 0.6 nos. of undelivered material will also go into the cost of the material and increase the MAP by that amount. Also the goods issue Cost will also have the effect of the freight cost.
We do not want to load the freight cost for the undelivered material in the value of the material.
Can any one please suggest a solution for the same.
    Thanks in advance.
    AJ.

    Hi
A PO Will be raised for full quantity of material say 100 nos.
The material supplier vendor needs to be paid for full quantity of material.
A freight vendor is maintained at the time of GR for material against the freight condition maintained in the Po.
The freight vendor facilitates the delivery of the material from the vendor to the purchaser for which he is given an under tolerance limit of 0.5%. Any delivery below this tolerance limit, freight amount to the effect of 1.5 times the per unit rate of material x short fall below 0.5% tolerance will be deducted from the freight amount.
A dummy grir will have to be prepared for the short delivered quantity for processing the invoice for the full quantity of the purchase order, as the vendor is going to raise the invoice for full purchase order quantity. The client does not want to load the freight cost of the undelivered quantity on the material value as it will wrongly show the MAP of the material. This shortshipped material will be issued to remove it from the system and the stock will remain for the delivered quantity only. The vendor is subject to gr based invoice verification.
    Please suggest a solution.
    Thanks in advance.
    AJ

  • Freight charges to be loaded on inventory

    Hi,
In Import process, I want the freight charges to be loaded on inventory.
What should I do? I have two conditions ZFR1 for % & ZFB1 for Freight value.
Please explain in details. Also explain where these changes will reflect??
    Thanks in advance,
    Piyush

For freight charges to be loaded on the inventory
    Proceed as follows
-for the condition types remove the accrual flag &
in the Purchasing calculation schema remove the account key & accrual keys for the freight condition types.
This will post your freight costs on the material account.
for e.g  Gross price  is 100 , freight is 20. at time of GR total value of Inventory will be 120.
hope this is how you want....reward if useful
    Thanks & Regards

  • Foreign Purchase - Freight Charges

    Dear Gurus,
I have an issue for freight charges. It's a new implementation and i want to map this scenario in SAP.
For foreign purchase, My client receives and move their Material at the port area by hiring any transport delivery services they can find.
Once the goods has been delivered to our WH, the Material will not be received and marked it as suspended for sometimes until the Finance dept. finalizes the freight charges.
The freight charges must not be included on the liability to the vendor.
I did a simulation of this scenario by creating a Purchase Order and on the item details, condition tab, 1 selected condition type FRB1 and changing the condition details and selecting other vendor.
After doing the purchasing cycle till finishes the Invoice verification, i checked FBL1N but the vendor line item shows the freight charges has been charge to the foreign vendor.
How can we do or map this in SAP Purchasing?
    Regards,
    Ber

    Hi,
I think the your issue is because you selected "Goods/Service items + Planned Delivery cost" option in MIRO and posted everything to the main vendor.
If the material and freight vendors are different, please ensure that the invoice is done separately for goods and planned delivery cost. Go to MIRO and select the planned delivery cost option first and enter the PO number. If there are multiple freight vendors, system will gibe a pop up asking for the vendor. You can select the required freight vendor and proceed. If there is only one freight vendor, the same will be automatically populated in MIRO Header. Enter the details and post the planned delivery cost.
For the material cost to the main vendor, select the "Goods/services" option in MIRO and enter the PO number. Here, system will default the foreign vendor and you can enter the material cost and post.
Test the scenario and revert back.

  • Goods issue from vendor consignment stock with freight charge

    Hi Experts,
I have a typical scenario for GI from consignment stock with freight charge.
The consigment price is agreed of the material is agreed between the vendor and the client. The vendor buy the material and use the company/client shipment. The client carry the vendor material in their shipping. The fright charges was not included in the consignment price. Presently they accumulated the vendor frieght charge in a separate account.
When the user raise a reservation and goods issue was done from consignment stock  Info record price of material  for the consignment + 8% of the price of material should be charge to the user.
And the 8% of info record price of the consignment material should be posted to freight recovery account.
So there is no balance between the freight charges account and the freight recovery account.
Can you suggest who we can mapped this process?
    Regards
    DP

    Hi DP,
As SAP doesn't Support Delivery cost settlement with the consignment process to seprate G/L ( Similar to accruals ), you need to go for Z development which while posting MRKO will be executed with refernce to PO & Issue Document Posting the freight Value to Appropriate fright G/L .

  • FREE PO WITH FREIGHT CHARGES

I HAD A PO SCENARIO WHERE I AM GETTING THE MATERIAL AT FREE OF COST.
FOR THAT I HAVE TO PAY FREIGHT CHARGES.
FURTHER WE NEED TO UPDATE GOODS RECEIPT , STOCKS AND ISSUES ALSO.
PLEASE ADVISE IN THIS REGARD FOR CREATION OF PO .

One way is removing GR based I/V tick and keep FOC indicator in PO  and finally book frieght cost as unplanned delivery cost but like this GR valuation will still be zero.
Another method is do not use FOC and feed a minimum basic price  say 0.01 Rs and feed actuall freight charges. Finally clear 0.01 Rs entry manually thru MR11 (GR/IR maintenance). I prefer second method if freight charges are considerable.

  • Freight charge in MIRO details tab

    Dear expert,
Please help me on below scenario.
I raised PO. My PO cost is 10000 INR. and My delivery charge is 200 INR.
I have not maintained delivery charge in PO. While doping MIRO I am mantaning the Delivery cost in Details tab.
But My issue is Goods Provider & Cargo vendor is different. If  i select invoice party in details tab, same vendor name reflect in MIRO Header.
How i post the MIRO at a one time for Both vendor or sujjest any method to pay delivery cost.
Note:- I want to include delivery charge in Material cost.
    Thnaks & Regrds
    nitesh

    Hi,
How i post the MIRO at a one time for Both vendor or sujjest any method to pay delivery cost.
First basic thing ,you can post MIRo for vendor at a one time
as you want delivery cost to differnt vendor,so you will have invoice for that and you will have number also
so In one invoice how you will get both reference number  ( main vendor and delivery vendor bill no)
you  have to create two MIRo in your system
try this from FI side FB60 t-code you can post
    or do what Kunal said

  • Scenario on Purchasing Process - Freight Charges to Different Vendor

    Hi Experts,
We have a business scenario here that we want to implement on the MM - Purchasing Process.
My Client's industry is on Selling Mixed Concrete. Every time they make Contract with Scheduling Agreements, for Raw Materials like Cement 20MM or DUST, on each available Plant from a partner company on a different location. Some of the Location are not inside the country as well.
When we do Scheduling Agreement, we do a blank quantity for example, 30,000 for 20MM on Plant A and 10,000 for 20MM on Plant B. During the creation of Schedule Lines, we key in differect schedules of delivery (incl PGR). Then by the end of the Period, we create a Vendor Invoice.
However on some delivery item, we have a scenario where from a specific Vendor A, we have a Vendor B that delivers our Materials to our Plant (Transporter Vendor). So we have to create another Invoice for them. We have to have 1 Invoice for the Supplier and 1 Invoice for the Transporter Vendor.
I understand that SAP can do 2 Vendor assignment on PO, 1 for Material Goods and 1 for Freight Charge. The Amount will sum up per Ordered Item and during PGI, the Material Cost will be based on this amount. I'm okay with the first statement but the summed amount is not okay with some scenarios.
The problem with some scenarios is that we should not base the Freight Charge on the schedule quantity. We agreed that the Quantity to be considered for Freight Charge is based on their Shipment Tonnage Agreement (which is weighed on the Vendor 2's side). Then for the Schedule Line Qty, we have to take the Average Weight from our side and from their side, and that should be the Schedule Line Qty. The Amount to be posted in PGR line item should be the amount from the Schedule Line Qty and the Freight Charge based on the Shipment Tonnage Agreement and the Material Cost will be valuated with the sum of these values. At the end of the Month, we create an Invoice for the 2 Vendors at the same time: one with Freight Charge the other on is the Stock Amount.
So for this requirement, is there a way we can add another Quantity, based on the Shipment Tonnage Agreement to calculate the Freight Charge inside, And the Transporter Vendor, in the Schedule Line Conditions to be included in the PGR?
Please suggest me configurations to do this also.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    Hi Cruz,
If your requirement is to bill on the monthly average basis for the freight vendor, you can create new condition type for freight based on quantity. Use the calculation type 'M' - Quantity monthly price, in conjunction with the scales and use the scale basis 'C' if the freight cost is fixed based on your shipment agreement.
If your agreement is based on no.of shipments use the scale basis 'S' - no. of shipping units.
Even if these two are not suiting use the scal basis 'G' - formula and define the calculation based on your requirement.
Once this is configured for the condition type. Then maintain the conditiona values accordingly.
    Hope this is helpful.

    Satya

  • Freight Charges Mandatory for Particular Vendor?

    Dear Experts,
i want freight Charges Mandatory for Particular vendor while creating PO in pricing conditions?

    Hi
firstly check on whta keys you have maintained the condition records
if itis with various keys like vendor plant material etc , then check is it satisfying all???
now for your purpose just create access sequesnce with VENDOR (plant can be included ),
now delete all old records created for the fright condition
now assign this vendor in the Fright condition , also you can mark this condition as cant process manually if you dont want user to make any change to thsi condition )
create new record only specifying vendor as key point
    now create Po and check
