Reflection iCon like iPhone Apps
Hi all,
I'm wondering whether Keynote possible to create the icon like iPhone Apps' icons with the Reflection?
How to do that?
If what you mean is that shiny reflection that looks like this

Then, yes, you can. The main part of the "reflection" is just a portion of a circle overlaid on the image with a white gradient. If you put that shape over almost any image, you'll get something really close to the look you're going for. I've uploaded a doc to iWork.com that you can deconstruct to see how it's done. Can process and icon of iPhone app be hidden?
Hi guys!
i was always worried about the security of iPhone 3GS since i stored most of my id/password on it. recently i had a little concern that maybe some apps i installed on my phone didnt have an icon and i couldnt see the process via sbsetting as well. so that means there're some apps on my phone that i can never get access to and i dont even know what they are doing.
and as a developer, im quite interested how can process and icon hidden be achieved by code. so my question is, am i thinking too much or process and icon hidden really exist in iPhone? if the answer is yes, how can i do this by code? any clues are welcome!

cheersFor a non-development answer, if you have more apps than can be displayed in the limited number of pages allowed they will not be shown but are still available when you use search which is located to the left of the first page. You can also move apps to folders, allowing more apps to be visible on the pages.
Any other type of hiding of an app would be difficult as there would be no way easy way of launching it. Remember as well, that apps cannot run in the background except for limited functionality. -
My iPhone 4S can't support camera 360 apps.Once I open the apps 3 sec it will auto jump out to the home page.Look likes the apps crashed.Isn't my iPhone problem or the apps got bug?Please help me.TQ
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -
Make Safari bookmark show up like an iPhone app?
Hi all,
Is there a way to make an Safari bookmark show up like an iPhone app? I'd like to set up a screen of just my very favorite bookmarks with their icons being the sites favicon. This would be a lot easier than going into Safari, open, a new page, and traverse to the desired bookmarks.
Any info will be appreciated.

StevenWith the website available that you want to create a web clip for - to appear as an icon on your iPhone's Home screen just like an app for faster access, at the bottom of the page select the + icon.
The options are:
Add Bookmark
Add to Home Screen - this is the one you want to select.

The personal hotspot is not an app or an icon; it is a setting. You must first have your carrier provision it, then you turn it on in settings. Most carriers charge extra for tethering.

Thanks,No - the iPhone does not include a rules feature to sort recieved messages by category, and you can't create mailboxes with the iPhone's Mail client. The iPhone's Mail client is a compliment to the email client used on your computer for accessing the account, not a replacement for.
With an IMAP account along with storing all user created mailboxes on the server for sorting recieved messages by category, all server stored mailboxes will be available with the iPhone's Mail client and kept synchronized with the server automatically with each email client used to access the account. If you keep the Mail.app on your Mac launched and running, any sorting of received messages to user created server stored mailboxes based on rules with the Mail.app on your Mac will be reflected automatically when accessing the account with the iPhone's Mail client. This is not possible with a POP account. -
I downloaded an app earlier today (My Favs contact software). The download was successful, but I can't launch the app unless I manually search for it on my iPhone. Any ideas? Thanks.
Same thing happened to me and I was sure I had synced the app to my phone. I could find it by searching but it definitely wasn't anywhere as an icon, alone or in a folder. Finally thought to check how many pages of icons I had haphazardly added (easiest to see in iTunes> your phone's name when connected > apps, since they number the pages) and I had reached the 11 page limit. I organized most of my apps into folders and reduced down to 6 pages .... Then had to reboot and lo and behold, there it was - along with half a page of icons for other apps that I had forgotten about and weren't showing up before! This is a hazard when you keep picking up games and apps when they go free for a while. I try to only keep a few on my phone (unchecking the rest in itunes>my phone when connected > apps) so I can test them out gradually, but it got away from me rather easily over the past year. I now have two folders full of "task lists" to try out, for instance! You can see I really do desperately need a proper task list, if I ever find time to find the right one. (Catch-22.)
Apple should incorporate a warning message when we reach that magic 11 page limit, at least ... I like to be told by my gadgets when I'm about to do something stupid. -
An email sent from my iMac has a button linked to a clip hosted on Vimeo. When received, the link functions on iMac and iPad, but opens a window of app icons on iPhone and iPod touch. Any ideas what's wrong?
For anyone else reading this thread, it is worth knowing that sometimes an email is, or can be, corrupted thereby jamming the works. The solution above is good, but I just wanted to suggest another one.
If the problem arises, go to an online mail access service, such as Mail2Web.com and login to you mail account there and delete the offending message.

And George, as this is all entirely voluntary, whinging about no takers may not endear people to you. Besides which, a few minutes of searching on Google would have found you a number of solutions. -
i changed my sim on my iPhone n reconfigured iMessage, it configured with my number but when i sign in with my apple id it says username/password is wrong while in all other things like FaceTime, App Store it worked with the same id and password..
can anyone help me to solve this issuei just opened my ipad, started my apple account/I.D. and realized I put the wrong e mail. I was having trouble correcting my I.D on the Ipad so I went to my laptop and make the proper changes/slash e mail address I wanted for my apple ID. I got back to my ipad and try to download an app I can't because I have to sign in my apple account and I can't because it still has the irrelivant I.D/email address..
So, i did what you said.. went to setting>app store> tapped on my e mail.. it asked me to sign in (with my invalid emails address showing). I signed in with the password I had created. It said "incorrect".. I went to reset password. I reset password, tried to sign in and it says again "unvalid password".. this is getting irritating. I have been asking and no one knows what to do. -
hello, I'm using the same apple id on my Ipad and Iphone, and anything i do and my ipad reflects on my iphone. if i download an app on my iphone it also downloads on my ipad. Can i stop this from happening. i need help. thank you.
Yes, under the Settings for the store, you can turn off the auto download for purchases, that way if you purchase an app on another device it will not automatically download on that device. You would need to do this on both your iPad and iPhone.

IPhone iOS 8: Tapping on photo icon in messages app causes app to crash
Issue (?ios 8 bug?): Tapping on photo icon in messages app causes app to crash. Present in ios 8.0, and also still in ios 8.0.2. iPhone 6+ 64GB.
I just wondered if anyone else has been having this problem.
Initially it worked great. Tapping the photo button next to the text box in message should bring up a menu with your latest photos and other sharing options. However, after the first couple of days, tapping the button brought up the menu, the phone freezes, and then after a few seconds the photo app crashes.
Deleting most of my photos restored the function, but after another couple of days (and some more photos) it started happening again so I think perhaps it is related to the number of photos. After about 5-10 photos it loads the menu very slowly and its quite buggy. After 20+ photos it wont load the menu at all without freezing and the app crashing.
My iphone 6+ was set up as a new phone (not restored from back-up).
I hope this is some kind of bug that will be fixed in ios 8.0.3, but wondered if anyone else has the same problem or has any solutions?
My workaround at the moment is just to go the photos app and either copy and paste the photo into a message, or share the photo via the photos app.I have this same issue with my 128 gb 6 plus. I've tried restoring as new on a few occasions, but to no avail. I did notice while my pc was synchronizing my apps, that the feature worked fine a few times until the synchronization was complete. I seriously hope that the numbers of photos limits one's use of the feature, because i purchased the 128 gb 6 plus so that i could keep photos at my ready.
Has anyone heard of a solution yet? -
i was wondering if Apple has any intentions on making an Iphone/Ipad app to remotely control Logic like Motu has for Digital performer. Motu has it available for free which is a huge plus but Id be willing to pay for one if Apple came out with one of its own.Im a little mift as to why it hasnt been done, Im sure they are capable of it.
I've been using Touch.OSC, from Hexler. It is not created by Apple but works like a charm on Logic. I've been using the app for over a year both on my iPad and my iPhone. Check the app on Hexler @ http://hexler.net/software/touchosc. Another app (which I still haven't tried) is lpTouch. You can get more info at http://www.delora.com/delora_products/lptouch/lptouch.html. Both are sold at App Store for $ 4.99. Yeah, it would be cool if Apple included its own iPad/iPhone app to control LogicPro on a future update... but for the stick price of the apps I've mentioned you might have a good 'bang for the buck".

The IOS 6 updates for findmy iphone does not work as well as IOS 5 app. It will not let you update your location when you tap the refresh arrow. So tired of it telling me that my iphone is offline when it is never off. The IOS 5 was great and it worked so much better then the IOS 6. Not only have find my iphone app changed but all my apps changed when I downloaded the IOS 6 update. If I knew that I would not get the same apps back as they are now, I would put my iphone back to factory settings. But my fast updates on my computer are IOS 6.
