Reformat COPA and ECPCA reports

I have been assigned to reformat existing COPA report ( Tcode ke30 and ECPCA ( tcode ke80 ) report. Both the reports are drill down reports and were done using report painter. Since i have had very less experience with drill down reporting i would appreciate if someone understands and guides me for the same.
Thanks
Dev

Hi Dev,
Please check this drilldown reporting document and perhaps it may help.

  • COPA and PCA reports at Operating Conern level

    Hi,
As I know COPA reports lie on Operating conern level, how about PCA report? is it at Operating concern or controlling area level?
    Thanks a lot!
    Cheers,
    Helen

    Hi,
As far as i know COPA is config at a operating concern level but the reporting can be done at company code or even a product or customer of a company code.
PCA is more at a controlling area level.

  • Number of Copies in Crystal Report Layout

    Hi all,
Is it possible to show the number of copy in a Crystal Report layout?
I mean: I am creating an invoice layout in Crystal Reports for SAP Business One 8.8.
Customer wants to print always 3 copies, but with the word "Copy" in second and third document.
I can set the number of printed copies but... is it possible to include a reference of what number of copy is every document?
    Sorry for any language mistake.
    Kind Regards,
    Toni Dorta

    Hi Toni,
If the customer always prints  3 copies of the Invoice, here is what you could do. You could design your Crystal Report to always print 3 copies. That is, if your Invoice has 1 page, then design your Crystal Report to Print 3 pages every time. On the 2nd and 3rd page, you include the word "Copy" to indicate that they are copies.
Once you have modified the report, change the No: of Printed copies to 1. This when the customer prints the report, it will always print 3 copies of the report and have the word "Copy" on the 2nd and 3rd invoices.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can no longer open a project - and crash report readers out there??

    Hello there,
I've been working on a project for a couple of months and just completed phase one yesterday, sent it to Encore and produced a bunch of DVDs. Now, I can no longer open the project. It crashes every time, as do the auto save copies and back up copies. I'd have to go back to a very old copy, which works - they work if I go back far enough - and do a lot of restructuring.
Is there someone who can read a crash report for you to try and determine the problem?
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Jessica Vecchione
    ps. Happy New Year!

Thanks so much for all your help. This software and hardware is so complex and sophisticated  it's hard to understand every facet of it.
    My system is:
    PC, Windows 7 Professional
    Intel i7 processor, 3.07 ghz
    12 gigs ram
3 - 2 tera hard drives, all raid 0. (I use them to segment clients, none are full. The one in question is 1/3 full)
I just installed the Nvidia Quadro 4000 graphics card thinking I would upgrade to CS5, but there have been so many kinks that I'm in no hurry to do that.
I'm current on all Windows, Adobe, Nvidia updates and have Direct X 11
I'm using Premiere CS4, After Effects CS4 etc.
    Plugins:
    Prodad - Vitascene, Mercali, Heroglyph
New Blue Video filters and Transitions
    Pixelan
and just recently Red Giant Looks
I've been using Prodad for 3 years and since I got the new card, Vitascene won't work. It tells me my graphics card isn't powerful enough and that I don't have direct X. Prodad is insisting that it's my problem. The other Prodad plugins work fine.
I had used a lot of the Prodad filters on this particular project, and in the middle of it, I switched cards and although I cannot now use Vitascene, the filters I had added to this project previously work! As long as I make no changes to the clips, (ie, change a tranistion etc.) the filter will continue to work. I figured I'd coast through this way, and am not using Vitascene on any new projects. (I have a ton of old projects that are loaded with Vitascene effects. I hope I'll never have to go back to them.)
So, I can't help feeling like Vitascene is part of the problem.
Today, I uninstalled Vitascene, and Looks (which I bought and installed yesterday - right about when I could no longer open this project). Nothing worked.
I had backed up yesterday afternoon, and the project will not open on another computer from the BU disc.
If I go back to a version from about a month ago, I can open it and I'll be able to recreate things from there, but I'm terrified of this happening again.
So, I have all this great technology, and for the most part, I get things to work fine, but I don't have a real depth of understanding of how these things work and interact. And, I wish I could gain more knowledge, but I'm not even sure where to start. Any clues you all can give me are greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Jessica

  • Reconciliation of  costing based COPA and account based COPA

    hi experts,
I want reconciliation statement of A/c based copa and costing based copa through SAP. we have not configured any account based copa reports. now we are manually doing the reconciliation. Please tell me the configuration.
    Thanks & regards

    HI
Costing-based Profitability Analysis is the form of profitability analysis that groups costs and revenues according to value fields and costing-based valuation approaches, both of which you can define yourself. It guarantees you access at all times to a complete, short-term profitability report.
Account-based Profitability Analysis is a form of profitability analysis organized in accounts and using an account-based valuation approach. The distinguishing characteristic of this form is its use of cost and revenue elements. It provides you with a profitability report that is permanently reconciled with financial accounting

  • COPA and BSEG-SGTXT

We have postings that are happening in FI, and the users are populating the text fields on these postings.  Is there a way to pass this text field over to COPA to bring into reporting and display of documents in that module?

Your question is more appropriate for the ERP Financials - Controlling forum, but I don't have authority to move it.  So I'll go ahead and try to give you an answer here.  But keep that in mind when posting about CO-PA in the future since a larger audience will be found at the other [forum|SAP ERP Financials - Controlling; This requirement is an unusual request and the only way I think it could be possible is as follows.
1 Define a new characteristic (KEA5) with the option "No check" data validation so that no master data would be expected in CO-PA (KES1).
2 Add this new characteristic to your operating concern (KEA0) and activate and generate the operating concern.
3 Utilize COPA enhancement COPA0005 (SMOD) by defining an enhancement project in (CMOD) and calling the function module EXIT_SAPLKEII_002 and programming your logic to read SGTXT from include INCLUDE ZXKKEU08.  (Notice that use of enhancement COPA0005 is not related to CO-PA derivation (KEDR), rather it is a way to directly modify the CO-PA data passed by the FI/CO document.
Here is some relevant documenation on COPA005.
This enhancement lets you modify how actual data is updated in
Profitability Analysis via the FI/CO interface.
    Caution!
Using the components in this enhancement means that you are modifying
the standard update of actual data from Sales and Distribution (SD),
Financial Accounting (FI), or Materials Management (MM) to Profitability
Analysis. To avoid data from being updated inconsistently, you need to
have a solid understanding of the "FI/CO document" interface!
Make changes with extreme caution. If unsure, contact SAP!
The components comprise the following function modules:
    o   EXIT_SAPLKEII_001
    o   EXIT_SAPLKEII_002
You are responsible for ensuring the consistency of any changes made!
Test each change made extensively before use in the productive system.
    For further clarification, contact SAP.
You should strongly consider whether this solution will negatively affect your system performance by growing your segment-level characteristics (table CE4XXXX where XXXX is your operating concern).  You may want to in fact make this new characteristic field a non-segment level characteristic (KEQ3).  This will disable you from viewing this field in summary level CO-PA reports (KE31), but it would available from line item based reports (KE91) or from a custom BW infoprovider which gets line item data.  You could of course use a combination of KE31 reports and KE91 reports by jumping from summary to detail reports and passing the selected characteristics.  This is accomplished via the split report (KE3L) option.

  • Purpose of KEAT and KEAW reports

Can someone please explain the purpose of KEAT and KEAW reports in COPA?
I understand that KEAT is used for reconciling COPA with SD and FI and KEAW is for reconciling CO with PS and Sales Orders, CO with COPA and CO with FI.
I would like to know in detail what exactly is compared for the two reports..
Are these reports built for Account based or Costing based COPA or both?
Edited by: Pete on Apr 1, 2010 9:34 PM

    Hi,
KEAT is meant to detect customizing errors for single billing documents by checking the reconciliation between SD, COPA, PCA and FI.   The KEAT report checks  billing documents and verifies that these have been posted to FI ,COPA and PCA.
If a value has been billed, the system reads the billing document and from the SD condition type finds what GL Accounts should be posted to.
KEAW is meant to check the customizing errors for orders

  • Specifying number of copies and printer trays

    Hi,
can anyone tell me if there is a way, within CR, to specify the number of copies of a report to print and to direct the copies to specific printer trays i.e. copy one prints to printer tray one, copy two prints to printer tray 2.
    Thanks,
    Noel

You'd have to create an application using .NET or Java to do this.

  • Difference in Price per unit and Standard cost between COPA and PCA

    Hi
I did a comparison between COPA and PCA for January. For few products, there is a difference in the Standard cost and PPU between the two reports(product wise). What might possibly be the reason for the difference. And how to analyze the root cause of this difference.
    Thanks
    Jaswanth

    Hi
By PPU - Do you mean PUP i.e. Per Unit Price of Material Ledger??
If yes, then you are not comparing apple to apple.. Std cost is bound to be diff than actual cost

  • Difference between COPA and BW

    Hi,
I want to know what are the difference between COPA and BW. Some one already implemented COPA for our client and now the client is asking what are the advantages of implementing of BW and Why they are going for BW? Because already COPA was already implemented.
    Sateesh

    Hi,
BW is a business warehouse of OLAP-type for SAP. BW has several standard 'cubes' for every component in SAP; GL, FM, etc. Amongst them there is also CO-PA. CO-PA by itself is sort of OLAP-cube, so putting it to BW could be only from technical reasons (perfomance, for example) or customer-specific definitions. In BW, like every modern OLAP tool, you can build your own cubes, merge several cubes, define additional key figures, build sophisticated reports, etc. Thus, it's more powerful tool in terms of BI analysis. Therefore, situation where you need BW only for CO-PA is possible and potentially justified.

  • Diff between LIS,LO,COPA and Genric extarctions.

    HI,
Can anyone brief me the diff between LIS,LO,COPA and Genric extarctions.

    Hi,
    LIS:
The Logistics Information System (LIS) is a data warehouse used for reporting in all of the application areas in Logistics (LO).
Typically, the data stored in the LIS is an aggregated subset of the data stored for your transactions. For example, you would not usually find the full information stored with all sales order documents. Instead, you would find key field values such as order quantities, total order costs, and item costs. These values could also be stored according to business entities such as sales organization, distribution channel, division, and sold-to party. Similarly, the document detail for all material movements is typically not stored, but the aggregated stock quantities and values are stored based on plant and material.
    COPA:
Profitability Analysis (PA) is an integrated component in the SAP R/3 system.
All of the data related to profitability from the other SAP R/3 applications is mapped in CO-PA in accordance with the corresponding business transactions.
This allows you to transfer into CO-PA billing document data from SD, cost object costs from CO-PC, and overall costs from overall cost controlling.
CO-PA collects all of the OLTP data for calculating contribution margins (sales, cost of sales, overhead costs)
CO-PA also has powerful reporting tools and planning functions
    Generic Extractors:
When should you use generic extractors?
Business Content does not contain a DataSource for your application.
The application does not feature its own generic delta extraction method
You are using your own programs in SAP R/3 to populate the tables
The tools for generic data extraction can be used to generate an extractor for all applications.

  • Sorting in 6i and 10g reports

    Hello All,
    I am running 6i and 10g reports against a 10g database.
I ran one of the 6i report and it generated a report in one sorting ordear
and when i ran the same report on 10g ,it generated the report in ddifferent order.
Both the reports r run against the same 10g database.
The order by clause on the columns of the records r identical.
Now i wanted to understand how it is sorting in different orders in both 6i and 10g reports?
    Thanks,
    Ranz

    Hi,
Please note the fact that 6i Reports is not certified to work with 10g Database. Hence it becomes impossible to address the sorting behavior of 6i Reports, though there is nothing different in the way it works. I would suggest you to use 10gR2 version of Reports services with 10g Database which is certified and supported. Thanks for your understanding.
